Inspired by @steorransaluki I wanted to show off some working Ibizans in their natural environment. This is the type of terrain they were bred to specialize hunting in for hundreds of years

(These are not my photos. I tried to exclude any dead animals, but just be warned, if you go looking for hunting Ibizans you’re going to see a lot of dead hares)

crocodile and dragon ... truly divorced. extremely divorced. they run into each other at the supermarket and the tension is Palpable as they remark to each other "...Dragon." and "...Crocodile." while Luffy is standing there awkwardly texting his friends some shit like "besties my dads are about to fight in the cereal aisle" and someone (PROBABLY NAMI) is like "send pics lol"

crocodile and buggy is "you're stupid. i like that in a man" while buggy honks awkwardly being simultaneously afraid but also Into It

mihawk and buggy is the same except with more of mihawk being like "well. idk who the fuck this guy is but this is happening i guess." buggy's like 😨😫😭😳🤡 and mihawk is like 😶😑😐🤨

can u tell buggy and shanks own my ass tho ... i love childhood friends who drift apart bc one of them is so fucking stubborn about going off on his own and the other just Letting him, and theres a completely one-sided rivalry, and u just Know that if they got talking for too long, they'd start reminiscing about their pasts and start getting sad about their shared losses (re: Roger). something something buggy insisting it's a "can't live with you but can't live without you" thing idfk!

shanks and mihawk ..... ooouuuughhh we love rivals who respect each other and trust each other genuinely, and shanks being the only one who can crack mihawk's stoic exterior and the only person he can kinda let his guard down around.

i have nothing to say about crocodile and mihawk. their relationship is like. we are fuckbuddies but if our relationship level was at Strictly Coworkers.

i don't ... hate ... croco + doffy together but the way some ppl write them is so like ... not how i imagine their relationship. i went on an entire rant about it to my friends but tl;dr, i think it's a completely one-sided thing of doflamingo wanting them to be hannibal and will, playing mind games and having a psychosexual homoerotic obession w each other, but crocodile is completely like ... No. Get Away From Me (proceeds to smack doffy with a broom)

Hiii is there anything we know about the dagger squad backgrounds that’s canon? Other than Jake being from Texas, is the stuff about what they studied/where they’re from headcanon? THANK U MUCH LOV

we don’t really know that much i don’t think but a majority of the background info i’ve found is either vaguely mentioned in the film or the paramount draft script you can find online ! bradley being a poli sci major at UVA and graduating in ‘09 is canon (and also very dear to me bc that was my major too plus i also graduated hs at 17 bc we are both #junebabies :]), jake originally got his call sign because bradley gave it to him and he hated it at first, bradley played baseball as a kid, mickey is a trekkie and also catholic or at least raised catholic (he crosses himself before they launch on the mission in the draft script), harvard and yale were the only duo that came from the same squadron together before the movie, and bradley and jake and natasha were in top gun together at the same time. there’s probably more backstory you could piece together for everyone by looking at their service medals/ribbons they wear but i fear i am not knowledgeable enough about that sort of stuff without a lot more research. they all mostly have the same ones but natasha has a NATO medal, jake has a navy unit commendation ribbon, and reuben has a joint service achievement medal.

also silly canon details that aren’t background info but i still love: jake wears what i’m pretty sure is a class ring on his right ring finger, he’s also the only trainee i recall seeing actually wear his tags, he likes van halen and foghat and seems to be a classic rock fanatic, natasha wears a plain gold band on her left index finger, mickey, reuben, natasha, and bob all use those multicolor clicky pens, bradley is i think the only one of the main squad who doesn’t have the fingertips cut off his flight gloves, halo’s tank top has her squadron logo on it during the football scene, and those stupid jorts bradley wears were definely just jeans he cut the legs off himself 😭.

I don't buy it.

I mean, if Bernie legit flat out said " This is a retcon; we're throwing it all out," staring at the screen like Steve from the Office, then. . . obviously, okay he's saying it is. But I just don't buy it, if it's all being based on what was in the teaser for S19. In order for Seasons 15-18 to be Epsilon Simulations, that would imply Epsilon would need to know information he could not possibly have: Knowledge of the AI Gods Knowledge of Huggins Knowledge of Dylan Andrews Knowledge of Kaikaina's deepest regret/fear from her early childhood Knowledge of Tucker's fear of being a shit leader Knowledge of how the other Alien Temples actually work - not just their function but how they'd actually work on the planet Knowledge of both sides of the war on Chorus and every single inhabitant's motivation, feelings, flaws, speech patterns And so much fucking more between interpersonal thoughts, memories of people he's never touched, locations he'd never been to, etcetera. Like, No. There's no fucking way you can run a simulation on data you DO NOT POSSESS. Or at least, not without it being very unbelievable. Unless they're trying to just say all this shit was made up, which frankly would be such a dick move to do. Not to mention, as someone else also pointed out, that Red Team finally got some awesome story beats and arcs for all their people. Finally got some movement on some much needed interpersonal developments. Like, the way I took the teaser, it felt and sounded more like Church(Epsilon) was saying how he was going over the big fight we didn't get to see, and how he was trying to make sure everyone would live - and that THAT was what was causing him problems. Like there would have to be some kind of sacrifice somewhere, and the only way to keep everyone else alive was for himself to be that sacrifice... AND then, on top of all that... Once he does, and the events we witness do come to pass, perhaps the change is that maybe there's a moment here and there that plays out just slightly differently or we see like, missing moments during 15-17... like Retconning to add in moments/tweek moments...instead of flat out trying to rewrite/rid all that development and emotional journeying we all did. I dunno. I want to have faith and be hopeful for S19, but to just think that everything we got from 15-17 (not counting 18 atm since it's not full out and also very different) could be hand-waved? I REALLY do not want S19 of Red vs Blue to do to it's series as a whole what Trollhunters: Attack of the Titans did to it's legacy.
