Hi! Whether you’re new to my dumb corner of Tumblr or a longer-term follower who just hasn’t particularly noticed (or cared) how I’m doing my thing here, I thought I should sum up my basic principles for this blog in a (somewhat?) useful fashion.  1) I try to always post spoiler tags for EVERY piece of official Danganronpa fiction before discussing any spoilery info OR sharing spoilery artwork. Why? Because it only takes a second to tag posts for people, and you never know who is new to the fandom/hasn’t gotten around to everything yet/is trying to still remain pure on certain subjects. For your spoiler-blocking needs, the tags for each are as follows:

2) I reblog (and occasionally even do original posts of) A LOOOOT of fan art here, but I make it a point to only share things either posted by the original artist OR which are shared with the permission of the artist. I had it impressed upon me earlier in my Tumblr career that some artists legitimately don’t want their stuff shared on other sites without permission, and I try to always respect that. (And yes, I realize that just saying “permission obtained from the artist” or something is HARDLY a foolproof system. We’re on the honor system here; we can only assume such disclaimers are honest.) If you catch me sharing art that is copied or posted by someone other than the artist without any expressed permission, please let me know — I’ll take it down! 

3) I’ll almost always respond to asks submitted to me, but I’m sorry if it takes a while. I’m typically WAAAAY behind on such things. Sometimes it takes me a few days or even, rarely, weeks. Sometimes I just don’t know what to say at first. But sometimes I’ll respond ASAP because the ask is easy to answer or just ignites a bunch of thoughts within me. Or on rare occasions I’ll, uh, never answer because I couldn’t think of anything to really say (sorry?) or because the ask is basically just a troll. 

4) I sometimes post asks/commentary that are very critical of certain characters as people (as in, not criticizing them as fictional characters or how they were written; criticizing their behavior as good/bad people). If you don’t like seeing your faves harshed on, I tag those criticism/negativity-centric posts for easy blocking, too! So feel free to block tags like #anti-kokichi ouma or #anti-hiyoko saionji or whomever. (But let’s be honest; Those are the two most common ones.) 

5) This Tumblr originated as a Naegiri-focused one, actually. That’s not something that comes up too terribly often these days, but.. you can definitely still expect me to heap extra attention on any Naegiri-centric content I come across (or, in rare instances, create myself). :) So... that’s just a heads-up.  6) If you came across this user handle elsewhere and are wondering if this blog is run by the same person, I can only confirm that the Hopey McHope on AO3 and the HopeyMcHope on FF.net are, in fact, me. Anyone else you see by this name might be the same person as me, or it might not. I guess you should just ask me here.

7) If I blocked you... I probably assumed you’re a bot. If you don’t have ANY posts or ANY reblogs or ANY profile pic or ANY heading wallpaper? I have to assume you’re a bot; it’s a problem around here. If you’re not a bot, please do something, anything to make your account look like a real person’s. Say two words on your blog, change your blog title to be ANYTHING else, give yourself a profile pic or even a header image that ISN’T the default... just, anything.

Based on how grizzly acted it seems that Felipe forgot he hated gillion, like I didn’t sense any passive aggressiveness from him directed to the fish man or anything else to suggest he still hated him- we saw before in the faewild how open he was about it even while he was with gillion in the carnival

But remember Price? The whole little escapade chip went on? What he did to Price? Wasn’t he going to get revenge on chip? Doesn’t he have an enchanted eye (although cursed, we saw a demonstration of its power)? If it is him I just wonder how he got there- I believe he’s the only one with truly malicious intent that could have done that- I mean, they were gone for 2 weeks, its possible that Price found where chip’s crew was but not them themselves because of where they were- and Price seems the type to have revenge in style-

The end of one arc to enter another full of hurt oh boy- next week can’t come any sooner

I've been off Tumblr for a while so I'm not sure but do we not Spoiler Tag on here?

I've already had most of Barbie, some of Oppenheimer, and now Last Voyage of the Demeter - which came out TODAY - spoiled for me.

Should I start avoiding using the app when something I'm looking forward to releases? Genuinely asking - Should I be taking the initiative on this, or is it not actually that common?

i got myself into another ceramics class!! will you believe that literally THE SAME DAY i was complaining about wanting to make more ceramics, i got an invitation to this class just a few hours later LMAO i jumped right on it, i love manifesting shit😂 i made all of these around the beginning of august

in the class i went to in april-may we just randomly made as many things as possible, this time around we focused on making only one thing every day, so i made only 4 things, but unlike last time i managed to plan ahead a bit better and have actual ideas for how i want everything to look fgdfg

first up is a plate with a moon phases theme. hey! thats a pretty cool idea that i managed to execute pretty well too! im proud of myself!! i skipped out on the gibbous moon bc i was afraid there wouldnt be enough space but now when i look at it its like of course there was enough space, dumbass. but whatever😂

next is a cup with an olive theme! im really happy w how this turned out as well! idk why i keep emphasising that bc im actually happy w how everything here turned out FDGDFG anyway, i really wanted to get it from every angle hence the 50 million pictures, i especially love the details around the handle

robi was staring very intently while i was taking pics so i let him have a sniff lmao

its a vase! this time around i didnt really have any specific idea for a theme, i knew mom wanted a vase so i asked her what she wants it to look like n she just showed me a basic shape n we looked at pictures and she pointed to one that looked like it had blue color spilled over it so i tried to make sth like that. the shape ended up a bit wonky but i still like it

this is a "wall mask" apparently, basically just a decorative piece to put on the wall, i had no idea wtf i wanted to make for this project so i just looked for cute animal pictures and settled on the racoon from this pic, when i was coloring it there was no gray color so the teacher was like why not just color it pink? i had a lol that doesnt happen in nature! moment before remembering who tf cares so now he's a pink racoon :3

the hole in its forehead is there so you can hang it up on a wall, the teacher showed us how to make the hole so i just automatically made it but now i kinda wish i didnt because obviously im not actually gonna hang this thing up on a wall sdfsdf im too afraid that it will fall and break, instead i set it to lean against a wall on an elevated place, so now he has a forehead hole for no reason, alas

i dont have any interesting thing to say for the end this time, my brain is tired... im glad i was able to do these again, the classes are really fun and i love the results, its a really cool feeling to eat lunch on a plate you made and then turn around and eat dessert on another plate you made😂 now its time to go back into observation mode and take notes of anything that seems interesting/i want to make for whenever the opportunity to make these arises again in the future

I think what's especially potent about investigating the idea 'fairytales are real, and what are the consequences' is that it does integrate fairytale ethics mixed with some degree of psychological realism (if heightened). The monsters are human and even the dragon the knight is supposed to kill for a maiden is human (he also kills a maiden for the dragon). Ozma and Salem have had to wrestle with gods that have no care for their petty human conflicts and no empathy for their pain.

That emotional side of the story is denied by a villain like Ironwood for a reason, I think.

It's interesting because on the one hand you have the pain (the idealised heroine of Summer Rose isn't real, it's actually deeply painful and terrible) but then on the other hand you have potential for catharsis (you're not meant to kill the great and evil Salem, there is actually more to the story).
