🦇 What’s the creepiest unexplained thing you’ve ever experienced?
(ooh yes please i love stories from real people of these)
Ooooh heck yeah, bud~
Okay so, I am fairly certain we have a ghost in the house - or there is a ghost that is attached to me. When I was a little kid I had an invisible friend I referred to as 'Ghostie', and ever since then have felt like someone is always with me. Others in the house have seen shadows moving around - mostly walking the main hallway of the house, or sometimes lurking in the basement. Creaks and shuffling are often heard, and when I first adopted Hawke he refused to come into my room for weeks, and when he did come in he'd stare at something behind me - always behind me.
But that isn't the strangest thing.
Couple years ago I was working in the dining room of my house, fiddling with some stuff on my laptop. I saw Hawke walk around the corner and head down the hallway - which, from my position, I couldn't see down myself.
I then hear a 'pspspsps' noise followed by a male voice go 'Hello there.' IMMEDIATELY Hawke comes RUNNING back down the hallway at full blast, his ears tucked back and tail fluffed up. I thought that it was my dad who had scared Hawke - he's the only grown man in the house, after all - so I get up to go and laugh at him when I turn the corner and see... no one.
I check out all the rooms and there was no one in the upstairs. I go to the basement and find my dad doing laundry, completely oblivious to what happened.
So yeah, pretty sure the ghost or spirit or whatever tried to pet Hawke, Hawke got freaked out and ran, and I was left wondering if I actually heard a ghost or am going crazy. I wouldn't believe it had Hawke not also reacted.

The Fallout show is pretty fun so far. I still have 3 episodes to go. Everytime Lucy said "Okey dokey", this was all I could picture.

👻 Do you believe in ghosts? Why or why not?
Thank you!
I do, yeah. I don't claim to know what they are (spirits of the deceased? A loophole in time? Something else?) But I've had too many experiences over the years that lead me to believe there is something out there going on that we can't explain entirely - at least not yet.
I've been to a few places in the world that just felt different; that had this vibe that wasn't normal. Like Ostia Antica, an ancient Roman town just twenty minutes outside of Rome. I was exploring the ruins by myself with no one else around, but there were spots where I just knew someone was watching me. Not in a malevolent way, but there were curious eyes in amongst the ruins.
