Made my first mushroom spore prints! Super happy with how this parasol mushroom print came out.

I managed to make 4 prints leaving each one for about 5-7hours. Definitely want to try more with different specimens.

The mystery agaricus patch I’ve been watching for a few days have been revealed to be Agaricus deardorffensis after preparing a spore print! I also looked at a few of them under the microscope.

It’s incredible to think that there can be thousands picked up with a small cotton swab; which means there’s almost a few billion in one mushroom (released every single day!)

Today my love and I went on a 4 mile walk, we came across some mushrooms..

I am hoping they will still be there next time so I can bring them home and hopefully create some spore print artwork with them.
