Thank you very much!! I always like pining, but there's something really cathartic about writing a fic revolving around years upon years of unspoken visceral lesbian yearning that's accompanied by extremely visible affection and loyalty. Nobody around them can doubt that they love each other, it's just not clear if it's in any different way than they've always loved each other, while internally S'paak is like "with each day that passes I am more consumed by the unholy fires of emotion and passion ... but I also become ever more centrally important to my perfect peerless captain, which means it's fine and I'm ideally fulfilling my function as her knight XO chief science officer. This is logic"

I love this—Elizabeth really looks very distinctly like Infilitrator Shepard, I love her face, and the sniper rifle and omnitool look super cool. And I love the contrast between her military get-up and Darcy as Dr. T'Arzi the scientist who relies on her biotic power despite her physical size and strength.

Time to make my new DW icons :D :D :D

currently reading: My wife and I listened to 44% of the audiobook of Elan Mastai's All Our Wrong Todays this week during a truly terrible road trip to Canberra. The book was a definite highlight of the trip. I'm also 38% of the way into Soula Emmanuel's Wild Geese, which I am very much enjoying, but I keep getting distracted by a desire to read Kirk/Spock kidfic. The heart wants what it wants.

last song: "If You Should Try To Kiss Her" by Dressy Bessy (from our most excellent road trip playlist, another highlight of the trip if I do say so myself)

most recent film: Star Trek Beyond, which is excellent. And we watched Star Trek (2009) before that, which I saw 11 times in cinemas and may be my favourite film of all time? So sad that they only made two ST:AOS films.

most recent series: Unless you count The Cook Up with Adam Liaw, I think the last series we watched was Leverage: Redemption which is still a work in progress for us. The last series we finished watching though was the sublime North of North which you should all go and watch immediately.

sweet/salty/savory: Yes. Love them all. My relationship with salty is the old "it's complicated" but there's still a lot of love there.

tea or coffee: This morning I had a drink which the cafe called a "Dirty Earl". It was a strong Earl Grey tea with steamed milk and a shot of espresso. It was delicious.

working on: So many things. Too many things. And I start uni again in 22 days! I just graduated from a Leadership Program, so that was cool. I'm also about to submit some creative work to a queer community suicide prevention website. Stuff like that.

Marked off the 'they're exes' square because I like the idea of them having like, a weird brief but intense thing in DAO - time passes - awkwardly meeting again in DAI

I also like those Morrigan-not-realizing-Leliana-is-hitting-on-her memes lol mostly because I was also a semi-clueless homeschooled weird kid who was like ah... so this is what fond platonic womanly friendship feels like... then 10 years later being like wait a damn minute. hashtag relatable.

I feel like Mozzie would start talking and Alec would do the whole “I CANNOT WITH.... THAT” and leave the room? 

Or possibly he’d make up really terrible Shadow World conspiracies and tell them to Mozzie with a completely straight face just to see how many of them he’d buy into...

Heh sounds like child you was more sensible than child me, who always wanted everything to MAKE SENSE and was thus forever frustrated with children's fiction.

I mean. I usually wanted things to make sense? Doctor Who was, I think, an exception on a lot of levels.
