hi ive literally had no time to watch the streams or vods what happened in the s5 finale 😭 all I know is that apparently clown locked in hard and uh branzy did a betrayal??

hii tbh same I was there for most of the finale battle though but i could have missed some points so mutuals feel free to add on

anyways finale battle summary incoming

i joined the stream when clown was chasing down jumper trying to kill her, and squiddo was fighting on jumpers side. squiddo has god powers (can summon giant tnt explosions) @piercingclowns was banging on my door yelling that clowns using end crystals lol cus im the clownpierce cpvp fan club. so obv i joined at once.

clown is fr livid as fuck locked in as fuck and also mad as fuck cus jumper refuses to go on land lol and the entire fight is happening in water. ash joins the game, he’s on jumpers side. ash prepares chunk ban books. ash gives jumper coords in the nether where he’s waiting to book ban. ash book bans all of them, him included while they are in the nether, but the books burned or smth cus they all escaped the book ban after like two seconds. jumper escapes the nether.

ro joins the game, he’s on clowns side. they chase down jumper. ash keeps trying to book ban them all.

ash succeeds in book banning all players, but because they are in spawn chunks, the books despawn in five minutes. zam bacon ro and clown have a karaoke break. ro clown ash jumper and squiddo rejoin after five minutes and continue.

finally ash succeeds at book ban again. at this point only ro clown and jumper are actively fighting on the server(?) ro and clown keep rejoining and inching slowly out of chunk ban. eventually they made it, but jumper is still stuck in book ban chunks. they vc and jumper finally admits defeat. the players tm officially win.

miscellaneous facts the whole fight lasted like three hours, they fr chased jumper around for three real life hours. clown is using crystals but he sUCKs lol i will not live it down I need to mock him more mans hadn’t practiced since s2 and it shows t4 ass gameplay. clowns mad as fuck about the fight too cus it’s mostly swimming and getting yeeted by squiddos tnt. also in the players tms vc they hv discussions about what type of fish jumper is.

Jumper is 100% a hare, you cannot and will not change my mind. After all, in season 5, she had 1+ million jumps

Little lion boy, Mane, believes someone like him has no remorse for anyone or any humanity left in him but that gets thrown down the drain after Minute and Kab talk him out of that

I feel like Hannah has hanahaki but like- a non-deadly version of it? Idk if that one makes sense but just go along with it ig lol

Kab and Spoke has a strangely good sense of time while Ashswagg does not and relies on others, such as Squiddo to keep track of time

Flame and Clown don’t really go for the kill for a heart anymore, they really only do it for the adrenaline rush now. Mane is kinda the same but he just kinda picks and chooses his fights wisely

Planet is such an airhead that Spoke has to always be around so nothing stupid happens. Planet really only like- locks in when PvP is present

Subz can sleep everywhere but also hates sleeping because he always has that gut feeling someone is after him

Ash’s glitches get so bad to the point to where he can pass out, it’s happened before right in from of The Empire and he face planted. Of course, he was fine though

When Kab gets really excited, she uncontrollably jumps up and down

Redd is a little liar but refuses to lie to Subz (idk if this is true or not bc I actually don’t watch red that much)

Clown refuses to kill Kab because of the stuff she’s had to go through, especially when he found out she got down to 7 hearts. He also looks out for her any way he can at all times

DAY 2: MACE

The mace is, of course, important. But Clown wants the mace because he wants to prove that he can be peaceful – just doesn't want to. And, also:

– You have to participate, – says Squiddo to him, and something in their intonation makes Clown feel like she's not joking. So he joins.

And he actually enjoys it – after all, he has his days off from being a mass murderer. He likes to do funny, cool, and cute stuff. Yeah, it's a little strange to be like that to someone besides his close friends, but he manages easily. It became a good change of the rhythm, even if it was just for a few weeks.

And, dismissing how obvious it is that he is pretending, he is the perfect candidate for the mace: a strong fighter who has redeemed himself passed, ready to protect the weak. True warrior of the peace. A symbol of hope. Is it that Minute wanted to be the last time?

When the Mace Keepers invite him on a walk in the middle of the night, they lead him up the tall mountain, a peak towering over the world. The air here is thin and almost sweet, the colors are hidden by undertones, and dense clouds hide the ground below. It's truly peaceful up here. Maybe some other version of him could have gotten used to it.

– You won, – they say, looking at him with pride. – you are truly worthy.

For some reason, all of them are smiling. Their hands are all empty. They are nodding.

– But none of us have the mace, – 4CVIT remarks cryptically, – not Squiddo, not MrCube and not even me. Its Master Oogway who got to actually take care of it.

They step aside, showing a small hillock located under a spreading willow tree. The grass is silvered under the moonlight. Firmament is strewn with myriads of stars.

At one point, there's no one there. He blinks, and there appears a figure. They are completely hidden in a dark robe, and their fabrics shine down like a waterfall. The Mace Keepers applaud them, as if approving the spectacular appearance.  

The figure removes a long purple hood. Branzy looks different – stricter, taller, and with the white hair pulled back in a braid – but it's still him. He's smiling. 

– Hello, gorgerous, – Clown says, – an honor to see you again.

Branzy smiles and blushes and laughs, but he needs to keep the composure, so he does.

– You had worked really hard to get here, – Branzy says, and he can't stop smiling and he looks Clown straight in the eyes, – reminding us all that yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mistery, but today is a gift. And whats why it's called a present.

He solemnly presents him with the mace – takes it out of a sealed briefcase, from a purple silk pillow, and carefully holds it, not like a warrior but like an archivist, and he hands it to Clown.

And he accepts it, feeling the weight of responsibility and echoes of the warmth of other people's hands, and Keepers congratulate him and applaud, and everything is finally exactly as it should be – and then he changes his grip, wind charges into the sky, and with the eerie rumble strikes 4C, bringing him instant death.

It's too easy to kill them, weak and defensless, who had just given him the strongest power in the world. Squiddo and MrCube live only a little longer, but they too get decimated into dust. Mace shines, overflowing with power. Clown turns around and looks up at Branzy. and lowers the mace.

– I missed you, – he says warmly and takes out the mask. They look into each other's eyes for a moment. And then they hug.

– I missed you too, Clown, – Branzy agrees, caressing his hair, – you are the ray of sunshine in my life.

– Aw-w, dear, – Clown gives in and kisses him in the cheek, and Branzy, finally taking down all the officiousness and seriousness, happily giggles, – you never fail to make me smile.

They have less than an hour. He is happy nonetheless.

When it comes to Lifesteal Squiddo- or any character on any SMP- you have to consider the doylist perspective (out of universe) versus the watsonian perspective. (In-universe)

Lifesteal Squiddo is just a very dramatized version of my real life self... Like, how in real life when something mundanely bad happens, you might exaggerate and mime fainting for a laugh; that's what Lifesteal Squiddo is. I do that because it's entertaining and it's my job to entertain you. When something bad happens, I don't care, it's just our jobs- but to Lifesteal Squiddo it's the end of the world. When something good happens, I'm probably pretty happy, but to Lifesteal Squiddo it's the greatest thing ever.

With the nuke, the entire time I was thinking "How can I work this into a video? This will be a dramatic plot twist, people will like this..." and that sort of thing. But to Lifesteal Squiddo there is no Youtube, so she was just angry.

In real life, on my first day on Lifesteal, I didn't really understand that it was sort of a roleplay thing because I'd never properly played on an SMP before. So, I was nice to Ashswag because he'd added me to the server and I felt like I was in his debt, plus I wanted him to be on my team or whatever. But then I ended up with a character who had been nice to Ashswag for no reason, and I'm like, "okay, maybe he's their hero or something. Maybe they look up to him. Maybe she sees something in him that nobody else does". Squiddo was okay with Ashswag killing her because she was so ashamed that she'd disappointed somebody who she so badly wanted to befriend. In real life, I was okay with it because it meant I finally had an excuse to log off lifesteal to go to sleep ahaha

Although, I actually was happy when Ashswag gave me hearts, I really did think he was going to kill me. I'm glad I get to keep playing. I couldn't sleep that night because I kept smiling... That's probably the only time Lifesteal Squiddo and myself have felt the exact same thing

Anyway, with the election stuff, I thought the entire thing was brilliant!! I'm so so happy that 4CVIT and Red won, especially after I dropped that horrible video about him (which, please don't actually believe it's real!!) I just kept thinking, he's going to get such an insanely good video from this. For Squiddo though, from a doylist perspective, Ashswag voting Mapic and then banning me/her is him drumming up suspense. It's our job, he's good at his job, it makes sense. But from a watsonian perspective, Ashswag has suddenly switched up on Squiddo for absolutely no reason, which is going to make her very sad. Hopefully that explains it well enough!

speaking of which, i know better than to take squiddo's words at face value, but i do sort of believe that she wasn't intending to chunkban them? not just because 'oh why would i do that to myself', but because:

1. if it was placed there, it means it was possible to pick it up and put it in your inventory at Some Point in time.

2. according to squiddo, this was discovered early days of the server. which means version change could have altered stuff. if that is True, it means that before the version change it was possible to pick it up.

but if squiddo knew that version change could possibly affect it, then does that mean squiddo made that chunkban? is it a chunkban??? i don't know vro i was here for the easter eggs :sob: because as far as i know, squiddo isn't that knowledgeable about chunkbans, right? in fact, they only ever got chunkbanned once, during the s5 finale. so squiddo did do some research into it, right? either because they didn't just 'stumble' upon it, and is actually the creator, or they Did stumble upon it and did proper research after.

also, people a few months ago were going crazy about focus and spoke??? i thought that may be related because if squiddo's words are to be believed, and spoke's ominous warnings during the kablantis thing are to be heed, then... does it not point at spoke? but also i was too blorbospilled to care about non-blorbos, so i don't really know why people thought there was a connection between focus and spoke. the symbolism in focus starting as a group striving for peace, but ending the world at the end of the season goes crazy though.

also, why pangi??? is this another one of those 'they didn't choose to be here, they just got dragged into it by virtue of being active on the server' type thing? lifesteal saw pangi dip his feet into lore and said, yeah, i want that pangolin to be in my lore now !

also, post vc with cringe duo, pangi and derap started experimenting and sharing intel. which, for some reason pangi was immune to the chunkbans derap was making. buuuuuut, guess who was the other only person online at the time . SquiiDddOooooooOooo. what were you doing online squiddo... i'm curious. lemme peek at it... is this related to how you got twenty hearts . (i still don't know how squiddo got that many hearts, if the reason is known now i'm sorry i'm stupid).

Parrot the type of guy to go “this is for you!!” And then miss horrifically. My silly silly bird, fuck it making a uu actor au cause I can’t take the angst anymore. After the.. Wormhole.. and as Parrot is leaving Lifesteal, Ls spoke asks parrot if he would make a story scripted smp with him so that they could continue to make stories together, this time without hurting eachother. They bring Wemmbu because he’s silly enough to balance out their horrific angst storytelling. Parrot, remembering when Wifies(evilfies) joined ls as a guest, the cool puzzles he solves, and the times they’ve solved puzzles together, thinks he’s the perfect person to play as his smart best friend. He reaches out to Wifies (clonefies cause this is after kww lore) and clonefies, wanting to change and remake his opinion and experiences with acting while solving puzzles, agrees. Though Just as a trial run at first, he finds that the uu cast are really funny and smart people and that acting, with full control and unthreatened, is fun. Parrot does know that clonfies isn’t evilfies cause they act differently but he thinks it’s cool to kill the dude who manipulated you(havocduo…). THIS is how kww lore and Lifesteal can connect without anger or pain

Also!! Squiddo and Ash confirmed that Squiddo was the guard in the copper trim. Before parrot came to the house, they were watching Ironman 3 LMAO -👁️🦜

yeah so basically in the beginning of unstable spoke did some pretty messed up stuff that made most people on the server hate his guts (exploited, blew up farms, blew up vaults, blew up the wonders, sent odyssey on this crazy treasure hunt just for fun, robbed zam, etc).

so now, with the rise of this invis mafia, finding allies who a) aren’t mafia and b) don’t hate his ass is hard. he has mapicc and that’s about it (ever since jamato left him lol).

um but he does end up finding some friends, minute, squiddo, leo, planet. then during the infiltration he basically mentally joins the mafia and after a sort-of argument with mapicc he runs off and does his own missions for i think (in lore) two ish weeks?

he eventually comes to terms with stuff and goes back to his friends and they plot to kill ash and whatnot.

and then during the most recent episode he and minute get in this huge fight over killing squidkid and hannah (who joined rhe mafia to protect their civilization).

it ends with spoke telling minute that his life would be better if minute wasn’t there (i think this is calling back to minute saying spoke and mape were the best things that ever happened to him since he left the mafia).

and mapicc just. is forced to watch both times as spoke crashes and burns. and mapicc is always there to pick spoke back up and honestly mapicc is bound to snap at some point. he even says after the minute argument that “it’s hard dealing with [spoke’s] shit alone.” so yeah.

he can only watch.

spoke’s been on a progressive downwards decline. a lot of his actions, from what i think, are done out of a sense of guilt and a sense of isolation. when he meets up with mapicc again during the infiltration episode, he says that by being in the mafia he felt like he was apart of something. he really desperately craves bring in a group after the entire server hated his ass for so long. yet he keeps pushing people away at the same time so he’s just stuck in this endless loop.

at one point in the finale he just. lays down and gives up. says he’s going to play on a different server. because at that point he was truly alone (lost minute, lost parrot’s rebellion, the mafia hates him), bar mapicc. and mapicc has to sorta talk him down from it.

theyre like odyssey where despite everything, mapicc sticks by spoke’s side anyways. i guess the difference is that spoke actually like tries his best to make amends with minute in the end and tries to change (hence him letting ash live. because to kill ash is to become worse than ash. or smth like that). vs parrot who just doesn’t change. sorry anon u probably have no context for this since you said you didn’t watch uu 😭

so yeah, that’s the general gist of this guy. all of this probablyyyy stems from that first episode and jamato leaving him (both the guilt and the isolation) so yeah. it’s really different from the character he has on ls lolz.

squiddo was on a solo “mission” (for her its more like your first time your parents let you go on a walk alone) and she fell down to earth!! she was more or less curious and then the gravity got her :P

she crashed in the woods that are attached to ash’s backyard and now he’s essentially just got a new roommate

she likes to sneak into town but ash keeps trying to stop her, but she keeps trying, so some people have seen her. most write it off as like. a prank. It’s a pretty small town and kids will go to great lengths to get attention or a laugh

hes the embodiment of the “this is fine” meme. he does like squiddo tho its nice to have someone so cheerful around

hes trying to hide her until someone shows up to get her, since she explained that herobrine will probably come get her soon!

her original mission was go see some Stuff

ash had an unremarkable childhood, he’s since moved out and lives in a small house at the edge of his town. his parents are somewhat distant. Squiddo’s species usually raise their kids communally, they don’t have specific parents, but squiddo got lost off her native planet at a young age and herobrine took her in (as one does when a kid shows up in your ship when you’re running from the interdimensional police)

squiddo is like “Hi hello new friend :3!!!!” and ash is like huh oh huh what oh god (humans are generally left alone in the wider universe since they’re so unpredictable. squiddo doesn’t share the same unease most species have of humans)

yah herobrines trying his best. he’s a little awkward and a fair bit overprotective but he does love her and truly is trying to help. he’s pretty rough around the edges tho so this does result in him eventually showing up to ash’s house and being like. “you have 15 seconds to give me my kid back before i remove your spine” and squiddo’s like “no no NO we’re chill ok”

(he’s a sort of runaway type guy, he had to steal things as a kid to live; he’s also a pretty rare subspecies of squiddo’s species, ones that are often considered ‘cursed’; it’s actually just a genetic mutation that occurs very rarely. as such he’s kind of like a space outlaw type but like. also a tired single dad)

after herobrine finds squiddo he goes to leave with her and ash is impulsively like “dammit i’m not gonna let the first person to ever actually be a friend just. leave. You know what this calls for? sneaking with them” and then immediately regrets this like “what was i THINKING” but squiddo’s HYPED bc she was really sad about having to leave him there and herobrine is just. exhausted. now he has two kids to worry abt and one of them is a human??? one of the most mysterious species in the universe (since theyve sent out so many signals but never contacted anything it’s assumed they’re aggressive). he needs. like. a break

Lifesteal s6 day 1 report

So i watched a whole lotta lifesteal yesterday, and i continue to be watching a lifesteal stream as i write this. But Derapchu is wonderfully ignorable, so we persist. Here are the majority of my observations and thoughts on day 1. Some of my recollection may be wrong, please correct inconsistencies if you know more than i do. Intense Spoilers below (including mace spoilers)

So i began the day over an hour to launch, meowing up a storm in Pangi's chat. meow meow meow. Wonderful stuff. Once the server was closer to start and everyone else went live, i pulled up Princezam and Squiddo's streams. These were to be my main perspectives for the day. At one point i did end up watching 4 streams at once, and it was chaotic and i dont like watching more than 2 at once. I had a man on the inside[4 monitors with almost everyone's stream pulled up] to give me more news as it breaks.

The first death was Roshambo who died to dripstone i believe.

The initial team breakdown is as follows:

The Empire: This the group of assholes who preanounced their team, Minutetech, Mapicc, Spoke and Jepexx. Joined by surprise new member ChiefXD. This team began by rushing Mace and potions in order to kill people. They declared themselves the 'evil empire' and did some murderating. They got one of [the?] first kills on HannnahxxRose using dripstone. [or jumper? i think they both died early on to dripstone]

Blindfold Brothers: As the name suggests Manepear and Flamefrags decided that it would be them against the world. They briefly allied with another group against the empire, but they super betrayed and killed a bunch of people. Why my informant was surprised when they did that is beyond me. I thought it was obvious that these two would go on a murder spree.

The next team i actually dont know much about. Idk how stable and who's acutaslly in it: I think Woogie, Redd, Hannah, Leo, Kab and Clown [according to woogie's !team command]. Kab suspects that Clown is going to betray the rest of the group, which would be pretty Clownpierce of him. But CLown and Kab are tight. As a group of 6, they are officially the largest team on the server. They attempted to take down the Empire, and Mane and Flame even joined them temporarily to hunt the Empire.

The Pants Pals: 4CVIT Squiddo and MrCube6. Amazing team, fantastic. Also a member of this team: Eevee Trial Chamber Gay (tcg) the dog. This dog is the msot important thing on this server. Dont care about the mace anymore, only this dog matters. Yes this group is the one that got the the mace, but forget that. puppy. Squiddo, inspired by her dog buried the mace in a barrel that only she knows the location of.

Spacewaffles: Bacon and Planet are back babey! they built a nice tower together with tuff and copper, it looks great. They are neighbours with Zam and also Ash. Who also built houses near spawn.

Derap Wemmbu Ash: according to chat and also backed up by Derap when i asked, they are also Allied with Pangi & Spep. Derap & Terrain also have thier own alliance outside of the team. derap said a duo name that was long and weird, i think it was like glazed donut something duo. idk. derap's a freak. In pangi's chat, his !team command says Derap. Derap's pinned message does not say Pangi.

PrinceZam: is alone. on purpose! this time! He claims he could have friends but he doesn't want them! Zam's going solo and he's being a pacifist this season, or at least for as long as it lasts. He's not doing this for 'moral' reasons, but Zam also stated he didn't know that Morals are subjective. So, uh. take that as you will.

PE: Pentar Ecorridor. Clever name, said no one. idk what they're up to. Pentar killed Zam on Bacon's request. that was Zam's first death.

The Sticklers: Jumper & Ro. idk anything about what they've done. I just noticed Jumper was live, so i asked her team in chat. Jumper is down to 6 hearts after Clown killed her twice in succession. idk about the other deaths.

other people: idk. SB737 has not logged on yet. Whether he is on vacation until monday or as some chatters said he died in hospital after being run over by a truck. Who can say which one is true. Jaron i think also hasn't logged on. idk what anyone else is up to.

Some other things: Wemmbu was stuck in a hole for a while. Zam and Mapicc were discussing how long he would stay there complaining and how long until he just logs off. At one point Pentar was willing to go rescue him, but Mapicc killed him before Wemmbu could be helped to preserver the important Wemmbu Research being done. Later Wemmbu was killed by Spoke and the whole world rejoiced as Wemmbu was freed from Cave civilisation.

No one likes the Empire. idk if the Empire even likes the Empire likes the Empire. Jepexx [tried? accidentally?] nearly teamkilled at multiple points. Idk if this team will last. they were being called Frat bros by other people, and made enemies of everyone. I think MoralTech might also be having second thoughts about being evil.

No one knows where the Mace is. the Pants Pals, (which until they named themselves that i was referring to them as 4squid6 as that's the best way to combine their names.) got the mace quietly after Sqiuddo's mad rng role of getting the heavy core on the first ominous key. After that Squiddo went and hid the mace, her own team does not know where it is. Clown later claimed to have the mace, and no one can technically verify he doesn't. but everyone suspects their enemies of having it. and no one knows for sure. Very fun for someone who's known who has the mace the whole time. I've been in chat saying that I have it, or freddy fazbear has it. It's important to spread misinformation in times like these. Remember, unverified guesses may count as streamsniping at mod's discretion. If you are saying random names have the mace, make sure that its people who aren't real or at least not on Lifesteal this season or haven't logged on. Does SB have the mace? Have they asked him? Have we proved SB doesn't have it? I think SB might have it. :shrug:

squiddo can get away with anything largely due to her overwhelming whimsical swag, they don't really use powers all that much bc they're just vibing. like the powers do help in a pinch but a lot of it is more worldly experience. she's less of a people person but has a lot more experience with weird stuff than legundo and might also be kind of a reality warper. don't worry about it.

meanwhile, legundo has a pretty constant air of trustworthiness/vague authority about him that makes him very hard to disagree with and he IS doing it on purpose. he doesn't USE the full extent of his powers much (which because of subspecies does include straight up magic) but he also doesn't hide any of the more innate things such as the funky side-effect that keeps making people trust him with potions and also their souls. also don't worry about it.

(Lifesteal s5 spoilers for my understanding of The Players' plans, from catching incomplete sections of streams and osmosis. I do not think this is spoilers for any of them but I am not keeping up very well, so please correct me if I am wrong and I'll edit this. It's a little bit rambly, sorry.)

So, aside from the unrequited pitchflirting, my understanding of the Players' main finale plans are that they want to remove all of the buildings and restore the server or at least the main areas to looking the way they did at the start of the server, before anyone built anything. And this has some justification about like being a fresh start to the world, aside from the fact that it's a cool dramatic thing to do, but also!

It's really neat how the thing it does is specifically making the server look as though nobody ever played on it. Because the Players' whole thing, their primary conflict with primarily Jumper and Minute (I don't think they have a team name?) is that they're the only people willing to play heel, to do cool evil dramatic shit that other people can make content by fighting against, and almost everyone else (no offense intended to Squiddo or Wemmbu but they haven't been on much lately?) is either neutral, inactive, or insistently playing face?

And in the arguments between the players and Jumper and Minute, it has come up that the opposing side wants to end the server without conflict, and the Players' argument in favor of what they're doing is that it's interesting content which creates a reason for the other players to log on and participate. (This has consistently been their motivation since early in the Abyss arc)

And I think that in addition to the other justification, restoring the world to look untouched is a pretty powerful statement of "This is what you're advocating for the world to be: one where nobody ever logs on and does anything or fights or builds things that matter."

(In the interest of fairness, I know Minute was talking about like, getting people onto the server by having temporary mods during the sessions, and Branzy does have his carnival, and I do enjoy this content, but... at least to me, the fundamental strength of Lifesteal content qua Lifesteal (Minecraft's deadliest SMP), as a reason to be watching this rather than something else-- like a modded or survival series that happens to be made by the same people-- is the social effects of a bunch of people who are mostly tryhards in a competitive environment that encourages conflict and teaming and subterfuge and paranoia and big dramatic clickbaitable gestures?)

(I do in fact think it's fun and interesting when there are some people on Lifesteal who care about morality and want to do the nice thing! This is a fun source of conflict! I just... think it's more fun when that's not the majority of people who are logging on and doing anything, because then there's the risk of them uncomplicatedly winning, or successfully preventing or mitigating or discouraging the majority of the dramatic evil/annoying stuff, and then nothing happening? Lifesteal content is primarily about conflict. It's maybe a little more fun when the people involved have in-universe justifications that are not just "it's for content", painting the fourth wall with a thin veneer of "it's because it's cool and asserts our power" or some galaxybrained self-serving philosophical/metaphorical justification explaining why this supervillain stuff is the real moral thing to do, or whatever? But it's still fun as long as people are like, logging in and doing stuff and fighting or arguing with each other, and maybe having some big feelings? and at least one person is live or making videos so we can see what's happening)
