I love how curious Hollypaw is about starclan and the warriors code. Hollypaw is a passionate and devoted cat, and she has strong morals, which sometimes go against each other.

I’ve noticed whenever Hollypaw starts to ask a lot of questions about Starclan and the code, nobody really gives her an actual answer, usually just telling her to stop asking questions and get back to what she’s supposed to be doing.

Hollypaw’s questions are reasonable things to ask and worry about. She’s of course worried about having to fight her cousins, that must be an awful thought to someone like her, who cares deeply for both her family and the code.

She does tend to ask these questions when she shouldn’t, but with the lack of answers she’s been getting, it makes me think. Is she not getting answers because she asks at the wrong time, or could it also be because nobody actually knows the answers?

i noticed that a lot of fan artists like to give jon long hair in later seasons to represent his spiral through a lack of self care. however they still give him beautiful bangs to frame his face SO. my headcanon is that he let it grow out til he moved in with georgie in s3 and she convinced him to let her at least cut his bangs for him. and for (or before) s4, georgie would occasionally visit him in his coma, and one day a couple weeks before he woke up, she decided to cut his bangs again. yes, she planned on distancing herself if (when) he woke up, but she could at least do this one act of care for her friend

Some notes bout Mars childhood.

For the first seven years of her life Mars lived in Oreburgh City with her mother. She was actually cared for by her uncle mostly when she was a baby. Until she was old enough to start walking on her own. At which point her mom just left her home alone most of the time. As she got older she began spending a lot of time outside the house trying to befriend other kids her age or looking for adventures. It wasn't uncommon she'd wind up locked out of the house entirely and have to go to her uncle's gym so she could have a place to sleep. She was considered a very rude child with little respect for her elders and who had a hard time getting along with other children so she was fairly unpopular around the city.

At 7 her mom locked her out of the house and no convincing from her uncle could get her mom to let Mars back in. For awhile Mars stared with her uncle however when problems began forming in his family as well she made herself scarce. She lived on the streets of Oreburgh for awhile trying to survive off the kindness of the other residents. But many of the other residents simply turned their attention away from her. While in Oreburgh she shared some food she'd found with a Glameow who was also living on the streets. The two became fast friends after that. To the point that when Mars finally decided to leave Oreburgh City for Jubilife City the Glameow followed her. Thus she began living on the streets in Jubilife City. Again she found most people seemed to simply ignore her presence on the streets. She soon turned to petty theft or digging through the trash in order to survive. She became infatuated with the contest hall that was in Jubilife City and began sneaking into it in order to watch the contests. She kept sneaking in to watch contests with only ever dreaming of being part of them for about two years. Until she was nine and witnessed a girl around her age have a big blow up with her parents about no longer wanting to do contests then quitting right there in the middle of the hall. While everyone was distracted trying to calm the girl down Mars stole the girls contest bag.

A few months later after Mars had saved enough money to pay for an entry ticket, she entered Glameow into their first contest. Luckily no one seemed to recognize the dress she was wearing or the accessories she used to dress up Glameow as the same as the little girl who had quit prior and the two did fairly decently. In her first contest she actually placed in third place and in the subsequent contests after that she began placing second or even first. She was well on her way to becoming known in the Contest circuit. It also offered her a chance to actually make money instead of stealing it. However things fell apart when she was around twelve after another contestant began trying to sabotage her. First by destroying her dress, then by destroying Glameows' accessories and finally by actively trying to hurt Glameow. When Mars caught this other contestant she attacked them rather then reporting them. The two got into a violent physical altercation in the dressing room of the Contest Hall. Until finally they had to be separated and both were banned from participating in any more contests in Sinnoh. This crushed Mars and sent her back to stealing and digging through the trash to survive.
