Happy one year anniversary to Tears if the Kingdom! (Also Happy Mother's Day! 💜) Anyways, TotK is a beautiful game that really inspired me in so many ways, so I wanted to play Violynne's Serenade to commemorate the one-year mark. (Go figure the Stable Trotters would be one of my favorite parts of the game lol!)

Thank you so much, Nintendo, for giving us such a wonderful game! I hope y'all enjoy the music 😊

I'm moving this week so between packing I've been off saving Hyrule. Heres my favorite kids. I've been listening to the stable trotters serenade for like an hour on loop. its so beautiful. i don't think it has a canon name for the song but if i could give it one i'd call it "the heros promise"

I found the Stable Trotters here at the Outskirts Stable and Mastro said that two of their band had come back. Then he told me about the Great Fairy Kaysa that was nearby. She was hiding in her bud and refused to come out. She used to enjoy Pyper play his flute, so it would probably cheer her up, but he wasn’t here. But rumors coming from Highland Stable told of hearing a flute nearby. Side Adventures – Serenade to Kaysa. Another clue that I had to go back to Highland Stable. I’ll get there eventually.

Okay, I realized another thing I love about Tears of the Kingdom. There are tons of really wholesome character moments in it, and almost none of them were romantic. That's very unusual.

You've got the Stable Trotters serenading the Great Fairy, Rhondson and Hudson's send off of their daughter, saving Lurelin Village, Penn getting choked up once the reporter quest is completed - all wonderful moments that have nothing to do with trying to get two people to date. Aside from helping Pyper impress a girl, but I'll let that one slide.

Every story focused game should use TOTK as an example of how to be warm and uplifting and wholesome without resorting to romance. Romance should be a flavour, not a focus.

The Stable Trotters were here at the Dueling Peaks Stable and Mastro said that they wanted to go cheer up the Great Fairy Cotera but she was across the river and the bridge was blocked. No horses could get across there so they weren’t sure how to cross. One of the band members suggested that we go across the river instead and headed down there to try. It took me a bit to get the roof just right, but I was able to put enough protection for the stable trotters wagon and they were happy with it. I then got my horse and attached it and away we went to the Great Fairy. I did have to be careful though because there were some monsters riding horses that I had to avoid, but we made it. The trotters then played their music and Mija came out of her bud. Mastro gave me a Silver Rupee as thanks for helping them. He also said he would be taking my horse so they could get to their next destination, but they will bring it to a stable so wouldn’t have to worry. Side Adventures – Serenade to Mija (complete).

I went around the round the big platform in the area and found a suspicious rock that revealed a Korok and it gave me my 207th seed (280 total). I made my way to the Snowfield Stable and talked to Mastro of the Stable Trotters who were there and he told me about the Great Fairy Mija. She was still in her bud and wouldn’t come out, but Eustus’s horn always made her happy and would calm her nerves. They would go up there, but their wagon was broken again and this one was supposed to have a roof to protect them from the elements. So I will just have to put a roof on their wagon for it to work. I was left with the troupe and Violynne was talking to Mastro and she was saying that she thought that the rest of the troupe had left because they didn’t like her violin playing. Mastro said that that wasn’t true, she had played beautifully and had brought the Great Fairy out of hiding and Violynne was comforted. She then brought up that she heard that the other Great Fairies were also hiding away in their buds and if they played music for them, maybe they would come out. Mastro thought that this was a great idea and they will need to reunite with the rest of their troupe, the Stable Trotters. They then turned to me and thanked me and that they may be a troupe of two for now but they will get back with their other musicians and bring the Great Faries out of hiding.
