I think I'm gonna call it "Write myself out of the history books" a line from All Time Low to match the rest of my 'Dropping Gojo into fandoms he didn't ask to be in' works 😂

His name is Soren and let's just pretend its Valyrian when in actuality it's just one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters (I feel like Gojo would appreciate that though, prolly a Soren stan himself lol)

His dragon hatches in his crib and idk I headcanon that Rhaenyra would wait to let him name it himself because she probably did the same with Syrax? But then 2 yr-old Gojo is like 'her name is Blue Eyes White Dragon' and Rheanyra is like 'wtf no' and also, this is why you shouldn't let kids name their own damn dragons. Rhaenyra refuses to let him name his dragon after what she doesn't realize is a Yu-gi-oh card, and in they settle for Sylvion, which she thinks is just some obscure Valyrian word/reference his 'Uncle' Daemon taught him, but is in fact a Pokemon that bears striking resemblance to his dragon. It's one of Dreamfyre's eggs, mostly bright white, with blue accents and some slight pink in the membranes, hence, Sylvion. Which is also Gojo's favorite pokemon, so he's two for two with references in this life.

He knows damn well that Daemon is not his Uncle, and they (Rhaenyra, Daemon, Laenor) all know he knows even if they collectively don't acknowledge it. He's Daemon and Rhaenyra's 'accidental brothel baby' that she had to get shotgun wedding'd to Laenor for, which is why he's much older than canon-Jace.

The age gaps are: Satoru/Soren (0), Aegon (+2), Helaena (-1), Aemond (-2), Jace (-3), Luke (-4) idk if Joff or Daeron will be in this.

Aegon is in love with him literally at first sight. He's going to PINE FOREVER. Like so much angst when he realizes he doesn't just adore his nephew in a purely platonic sense - which his mother/grandfather already dislike - but is in fact homosexually and audaciously in love with him lol. He definitely tries to fuck himself out of his own gayness, which absolutely does not work, esp when he starts ending up gravitating to regular female whores to male whores who all bear a striking resemblance to his nephew.

Does Gojo know? Hmm yes but not really. It doesn't even cross his mind even though he is also very gay, and also knows incest is casually a normal thing in the Valyrian family. But to him, Aegon is his uncle, and also a man in a 'don't say gay' world, so he kind of intentionally doesn't look too deeply into it. He does notice Egg is very attached to him, but he's not sure how much of that is familial and platonic and just Egg's very handsy personality versus romantic. They played a lot together as kids, slept in the same bed etc back when they were young enough it didn't mean anything, and obviously Gojo never felt that way about what he thought was a 'cute sticky dumpling of a kid who thinks he hung the moon' so it'll be a longgg and difficult shift for him to see Egg in any other way.

Aemond worships him in a strictly platonic sense that totally feeds his god complex. Gojo is literally the warrior reborn to him. He's a one man army and everyone knows it and he's so out of any mortal's league instead of being jealous about it Aemond just straight up adores him like a god. Daemon and Laena don't get together in this fic (RIP Baela and Rhaena) so Laena is still alive and has Vhagar, so idk maybe Aemond has Vermithor.

On a related note, everyone worships him as a god (or a Valyrian devil, *ahem* Hightowers *ahem*) bc to them he may as well be one. He has all his OG powers, he's invincible and untouchable and literally unstoppable. He achieves infamy the world over during Stepstones Round 2 where he absolutely obliterates an entire army and a few islands besides. He straight up asks his 'grandfather' Corlys if he should just eradicate the whole island chain and permanently solve the problem. Of course, the story gets convoluted with the whole medieval 'he said she said' chain of communication so there are plenty of non-believers still. LOL jokes on them.

He adores Rhaenyra. Like he likes Laenor a lot, and is partial to his little brothers (yes Jace and Luke exist, idk if they're Laenor's or Daemon's yet tho. They would't be Harwins bc Rhaenyra took one look at Gojo and was like 'shit he's 100% Valyrian its gonna look weird as hell if his siblings dont look like him at all') and has a soft spot for his 'Uncle' Daemon, but the reason he even bothers to stick around and not just fuck off to Essos to raise his own empire is because of her. I headcanon Gojo to have zero relationship with his parents in JJK - which unfortunately is expected from 'the patriarch' aka his father, but deeply hurt him in regards to his mother, who also cared nothing for him. Yes total double standard, but that's patriarchy for you. Anyway Rhaenyra is the opposite - she cherishes him from day 1, and whether that's because she truly loved him at first sight or just loved the idea of a child of hers and Daemon's who knows. But she doted on him and took care of him in a way anomalous for mother's in Westeros, and Gojo always took note of that. He'd burn the world for her - or in this instance, cower it into submission so she can have her throne in peace.

He doesn't mind playing the 'radiant prince' for her, being the faultless and impossibly perfect heir to the throne, because he knows it strengthens her claim immeasurably when his achievements so obviously outshine her direct competitor (Egg, who in fact does not give a shite about the throne and just wants to run away on his dragon with Soren). He even quietly submits himself to the idea of taking a wife because he knows that's also expected of him, although he plans on copying Laenor and having some threesome magic going on. Will that have to come to pass though? Hmm idk yet

THERE WILL BE ZOMBIES. No Night King, but I absolutely believe that Gojo accidentally would become the Prince who was Promised. His birth once again upsets the balance of yet another world, and shifts events into motion that would have laid dormant otherwise. Does he bring magic back into world with his birth? That would be interesting. Idk yet tho.

I also believe in the Maester conspiracy, so that might be in this fic too

rating south park characters on the hugs they give

1st is of course, Butters.

Butters would give the softest hugs imaginable. Hugs are his go to comfort method, and they’re his favorite method of being comforted. As a kid his hugs are probably extremely tight and full of love. You can basically feel it radiating off of him. As a teenager the hugs become less, because I do headcanon he becomes an angrier teenager. He has his small group of friends but he secludes himself. When he does get hugged, he just starts crying at that point. He believes nobody could ever love him enough to actually give him hugs. So when it does happen it’s very special for him. Likewise for the opposite. When he’s giving hugs, it’s rare, but sweet. It starts off looser but then eventually he just starts holding that person with all the strength he has.

2nd would probably be Cartman, shockingly

I only give him this ranking because I feel like if he DOES genuinely care about someone…which he probably never would…he would likely end up giving good hugs. He gives bear hugs, as a kid and as a teenager. Hes soft. Hes VERY soft. Usually the only things he hugs are his mom or his stuffed animals. But his hugs are nearly bone crushing. He would smother the person he’s hugging, either out of malice or out of place of somewhat genuine care. And honestly he probably would smell good. He has good hygiene because his mom probably taught him at a young age. Plus he loves bubble baths lol-anyway. He probably has cheesy poifs stains on his hands but that’s the extent. He gives alright hugs. But it’s rare-VERY rare to receive one. unless you’re a stuffed animal or his mom you likely never will

3rd goes to Kenny

Kenny would give genuinely good hugs. Not perfect. but pretty good. He’s probably really dirty-he’s got dust and rat shit on his parka. but if you really want a hug, he’ll give you one. (He’d probably take off his parka tho). I feel like he’s really lanky, so he just wraps his long ass arms around the person being hugged. His hugs usually start off with his arms just barely grazing the person, but after a moment he suddenly just yanks them into his chest/ He’s not very soft. He doesn’t really have any muscle or fat to soften the hug (at least not as a kid-I like to hdc that Kyle and Butters take notice of how thin Kenny is and how little food he eats and they bring him double lunches at school, and he goes to Kyle’s house to shower. Butters would probably get grounded for letting him in without permission) But as a teenager, he actually gets some muscle and skin on his bones, so his hugs are a lot softer. And tighter. He just presses his body against the person being hugged.

4th goes to Kyle.

I love Kyle. I really do. But I feel like he would either be WAY too rough when it comes to hugging or he’s way too soft. Like he’s barely even touching you and his arm is basically slung over your shoulder. But once he gets it just right, he actually does give very good hugs. Especially to Ike. He isn’t very soft. He’s quite solid. (Like in the way that if you throw him at a glass window he would most definitely shatter it) He’s what I like to call a Goldilocks hugger. He’s either way too hard or way too soft. Because he figures different people like different amounts of pressure. Ike likes really tight hugs while his mom’s back would probably break if he hugged her as tight as he did Ike. Hes kinda awkward about it at first if he doesn’t know you but he will (maybe slightly begrudgingly) hug you while slowly hugging tighter and tighter while repeatedly asking ‘this good?’ It isn’t out of a place of ‘I don’t want you near me” as much as it is “I don’t wanna hurt you and I don’t want you to be dissatisfied with my hug’. He’s like this as a kid and a teenager. But his hugs were softer as a kid. He’s kinda built as a teenager lol

i came across your "megumi has the narrative traits of a protagonist story-wise" post recently and smth u said about him needing to let go of tsumiki confused me. why does he need to? i dont think she was ever an obstacle for him at all (except rn but like. Sukuna literally planned it that way so i dont think it really counts) so i was wondering if u could elaborate on that part if u can; esp what it means 4 his character

oh but I don't think megumi needs to let go of tsumiki, quite the opposite tbh. what I said in the post you mentioned...

"the fandom often thinks of tsumiki as an obstacle in megumi's growth, which well... they're not really wrong but many stans forget that it's mostly thanks to tsumiki, megumi is the person he is today."

megumi's relationship with tsumiki is quite complicated considering we only see it through megumi's flashbacks. I think megumi's problem was that he idealised tsumiki. in his mind she was "the good one" she was the one who deserved to live and have a good life. megumi struggles with low self esteem and he doesn't really see himself as a good person, which is probably why the fandom (or from what I've seen in) thinks her death is a good thing for his development (and in a sense I agree) because he can now let go of her and the idolised version of her he had in his head (and that's the part I don't really agree with anymore).

going back to my previous post, I think it's mostly thanks to tsumiki, megumi is the person he is today. megumi doesn't think of himself as a good person, like tsumiki and yuuji (god Im repeating myself lol), but the thing all the good parts of him, all the things that make megumi so megumi and all his core beliefs are the things his sister taught him.

I often see other stans saying how megumi needs to let tsumiki go or at least the idolised version of her and be more selfish, but I personally think (and I might be totally wrong about this) that megumi needs to accept her (or part of her that lives with him) in order to accept himself.

megumi is a character who is often defined by his shadows. his curse technique is basically a "shadow". he has locked up his emotion in his shadow (or in other words repressed them). everything about his character links one way or another to his shadow, even his sister took a form of his shadow later in the manga...

but I find it interesting how when he says "I don't want to see a good person, no matter how dangerous, die." we can see a panel of tsumiki surrounded by sunflowers and sunflowers often symbolise happiness and good fortune. they also often represent hope as the very nature of sunflowers is that they always seek light.

despite the shadows that has been following megumi's whole life, I believe that at the core, he is someone who also wants to seek light. the problem is that megumi doesn't really allow himself to do that due to his trauma. he can't truly accept tsumiki because he doesn't accept that part of himself. in order to accept that part of himself, he needs to accept that he is just as capable of goodness as tsumiki and yuuji, that he is more than his trauma and shadows. that it's okay for to seek light too.

Sorry I hope this ask is okay but. I've been looking through your sadistic beauty posts because I am also a minho stan, and I had some thoughts which are kind of rambly. Firstly, I think that Duna *is* happy and loved, which is what makes me so fucking mad. She's a manipulative rapist and just so fucking awful, so why does she get a happy ending while Minho is turned into a sex slave? Literally keeps me up at night 1/

Secondly, people don’t really say a lot about Haesol and I think he was cute and likable UNTIL he met Minho and was like “you just can’t keep her satisfied sexually :)” while she was literally raping Minho every damn day. And then that scene where he sticks out his tongue while he fucks Duna in front of Minho while Minho is sobbing and pleading with her… Psychopath behavior. I know Haesol probably has an impression of Minho as an obsessive, violent, and abusive ex-boyfriend who deserves to be hurt but he literally has no idea the trauma Minho has gone through, and inflicted on him by the girl Haesol loves even! And yet he’s so obsessed with her that he’d probably excuse it even if he found out. Anyway, Haesol was like, one of the least hateable characters in the manhwa until that point and now I hate his guts but I do feel kind of bad about it 2/2

Duna isn't happy. A happy person doesn't drink and smoke like that. She's still a sad pathetic sack, unable to commit to the person that claims to "love" her cause subconsciously she's still not over Minho. 117 chapters still failed to give her any ounce character growth. Did she face any legal consequences of her disgusting actions? No. But is she happy? Also no. Is she loved? By haysool but I'd not feel flattered to be loved by someone like haesol. Gyrien left her cause she saw through her bs. Minho also finally got over her in a healthy way (the person she actually wanted to be loved by). She's still unsure if she could love haesol back, I doubt she'd ever be able to do so. Her and heasol's relationship is far from healthy.

I liked haesol at first but he lost my adoration for him when he continued to persue Duna despite her saying no. He doesn't respect boundaries like at all. He's obsessive and creepy in many ways but his cutesy behavior makes reader forget about his creepy actions. He's very similar to Wookyung. Both are innocent looking but very creepy.

I laughed at the scene where he retorted back to Minho about not being able to keep her satisfied. I mean bro, you couldn't do that either by your logic. She still sought out Gyrien, Minho, Wookyung while she was banging you. When Minho professed his love for her, she literally ignored your ass, until wookyung managed to break them apart. She was still surprised to find Minho leaving her house. She looked shocked.

I started hating haesol when he helped duna torment Minho and showed his tongue at him as if it was something cute. 🙄

Haesol and Wookyung are creepily alike in many situations. Both are obsessed with one person, doesn't respect boundaries, act innocent but can be devious. I really hate two faced characters like this.

Also fun fact, Wookyung also got attached to his first partner who taught him BDSM but his partner didn't return the feelings, just like haesol got attached to duna without his feelings getting returned. Haesol is a psychopath in the making. I'm pretty sure he'd end up like wookyung and would get obsessed with another person after getting dumped by duna and do the things to his victim like wookyung did to Minho. But he wouldn't get away with his actions cause unlike wookyung, haesol isn't wealthy.

Haesol is the most boring character in SB and I've seen people saying he's very forgettable. Some couldn't even remember his name lol

Anyways, this story doesn't have a happy ending for anyone. Duna is going to be a miserable alcoholic and smoker and end up with liver and lungs problems with her current lifestyle. Haesol is a doormat who'd get what he deserves. Minho will be miserable with Wookyung unless and Wookyung would be miserable too cause Minho wouldn't be able to love him the way he wants.

But I only care about Minho's happiness. Who knows maybe in future he'd become more independent and will be able to getaway from his captor/rapist. One can only hope.

I love these kind of sweet questions, thank you! I think most of them would be fine with dating someone inexperienced, but here are some individual headcanons for you

Bobby – I honestly think he'd quite enjoy being the most experienced in a relationship for once, as he strikes me as one who usually ends up with someone more experienced than him.

Carl – He's probably been in that exact situation himself, so he might be surprised at first and then just smile about it as there's nothing wrong with being inexperienced. I think he'd

Elisa – I think Elisa could get a bit impatient as she doesn't really have time to coddle anyone when living her busy influencer life. Still, if she truly loves them then she'll eventually figure out that she needs to slow down for their sake, and listen.

Gary – He's so experienced it might be overwhelming for MC at first, but if they communicate clearly I think they can work it out together. Gary just needs to learn how to take it slow for a bit.

Henrik – Absolutely doesn't matter to him. Do they want to take it slow? Fine by him. Do they want to learn as much as possible as fast as possible? Also fine. He's so easy going and will just ask them what they want, making sure they're comfortable. No problem at all with him.

Ibrahim – Rahim is a bit complicated as I think he could go either way, but overall he's protective and in some ways traditional. So I think part of him would almost enjoy having an inexperienced partner, who'd learn from and with him.

Jakub – I think he likes the *idea* of an inexperienced partner more than actually having one to be honest. I just think he's too impatient to face the reality of having to take things slow. I'm not a Jakub stan at all though, so I might be biased here lol

Lucas – Definitely fine with it (and maybe a kink of his? I don't know but he's definitely one to be turned on by both getting to teach and being taught). He's got more general commitment issues that might be a problem, but if they can work through those it'll be fine!

Marisol – If she could choose I think she'd prefer someone with more experience, but she won't turn someone down because of it. Love is more about the deeper connection to her, even if s*x is also very important. So yeah, I think if things are made clear from the start that she'd be fine with it (and she'd be a fantastic teacher)

Noah – I think he'd be pretty chill about it. It's basically canon that he loves strong, independent women/people, but that doesn't mean they need to be more romantically experienced than him. As long as the relationship is built on trust and love he'll be happy, and I think it could be confidence building for him too in a way.

Pet peeve that people may or may not agree with is that people who like to infantilize one character within a ship makes me very uncomfortable. While this isn’t a super big problem within the general fandom, I have noticed Hinata fans and bottom Naruto fans having this tendency and it’s just so…. Odd to me. It’s not my place to judge someone kinks or what they’re into or whatever and I’m certainly not trying to say it’s solely an issue in those fandoms- I’ve just personally only seen it with them and so I can only say what I’ve witnessed from them- but it’s just.. I don’t know.

With Hinata fans they have a need to put an emphasis on how tiny she is, how her voice is so high pitched and soft,,, etc. they really enjoy her being childlike while having a curvy and desirable body. (they will never outright say that but they certainly do enjoy characterizing her as an innocent and naive girl who doesn’t understand intimacy and has to be ‘taught’ it.)

The ones who do it to naruto are pretty similar, he’s innocent and naive, unaware of how attractive he is, he’s scrawny and tiny compared to the top he’s with etc etc.

I’m assuming this is like a self insert thing, yeah? Because I really wouldn’t understand it if these people genuinely believed these characters to be that way. Probably just a thing these people are into, which is fine but I can’t help but feel incredibly weird and uncomfortable when I stumble upon it. I try to curate my feed to my likes and what I’m comfortable with but it’s hard to get rid of it completely ig.

It's a self insert thing, but plenty of popular blogs write "meta" on how these characters are supposedly like that in canon, so no unfortunately plenty of people have deluded themselves to think their preferences are facts. I see this a lot with shonen main character stans, but it happens outside of shonen as well. And it happens with female characters too.

I'm 100% sure Kishi would hate infantilized whimpy Naruto. And fuckboy Sasuke. Kishi likes Sasuke being hard to get lol. But also a tease. And snarky.

First of all, the Kamala resurrection was exactly as meaningless, corporative and boring as expected. I just can’t wait to see what stupid power they come up with as her mutant gift (supposing of course that the terrigen/x-gene incompatibility will be solved trivially on an artificially convenient moment [like her whole death and resurrection was]). Also (and I’m jumping the horse a little, but this is a really meaningless nitpick that just stayed on my mind) how does she know the X-men red triangle psychic resistance thingy?

Scott wearing his old Champions suit? Complete flop. He can’t sell it at all. But I do find it cute and endearing, and this is exactly the pathetic Summers behavior that I’m here for.

The G.O.D.S. cameo was really clunky. I mean, I know nothing about those people, apart that they didn’t help at all on the whole thing (and maybe they have a reason for that. I wouldn’t know) and that Wyn is hot. I may give it a chance for more Wyn.

Speaking of hot, David? Slay. Emma? Slay. Jubilation? Slay. Kate? Omega slay. I do enjoy Stasis and Nimrod very much. At this point, I would devour an orchis tittle if they promised me absolute lack of Moira and Feilong (as they are, in fact, shit). When Stasis said that Charles understood powers of ten? And the dancing? Send me shivers. Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping (…).

I also think Jean stole the scene a little bit. I’m not usually a Jean stan, but god dammit she is so strong. And like, not only in the Omega Telepath Phoenix way, she has so much presence and name, inside and outside the world, that so much can be supported by her. I feel like the whole story is hanging by her absoluteness of a character. And Maddie holding her??? Aaaaaa

That’s it, I guess… just wanted to do my overall first impression. I do like the Krakoa era very much, and the last decade or so have taught me to take apparent big status quo changes with a grain of salt (I mean, Emma is supposed to marry flop Stark in four or five chapters, right?! Things should probably be relatively stable by them), but I can see myself enjoying the change of pace a little.

By far the worst gala? Yeah. For sure. Like, criminally bad chapter. But I do see some things planted that could end up being really fun.

And for some reason I managed to make the pot catch on fire 💀 after some panicking and putting the fire out, the eggs inside were surprisingly still intact and were even well-cooked. Afterwards Sebastian scolded me 😭 but at least he didn’t flick my forehead hehe (those stuff hurt a lot)

I declare this blog a 'Soft Men League' now, HAISEHASUIEHAS. BUT YES! Gimme a man that can do both 🤍 I'm always in love with those types, like Mozart. Isaac is more on the softer side; he said he prefers to be gentle (I cried not only with my eyes the first time I read it). But oh my dear, I clearly have a type! The funniest thing is that I actually married a nerd-gamer-shy man who can do both (my real-life Yoosung/Levi, he got me into watching anime and taught me how to play LOL HASUIEHASIE).

Thanksgiving 2023 absolutely rules. I was vaguely aware that it was a remake and/or based on a fake trailer in a movie but I haven’t seen either. I do know that the movie with the fake trailer was done by eli roth in collaboration with a tarantino movie (unfortunately I’d already seen mr tarantino’s movie before I knew they were meant to be a double feature oof) which is relevant because mr roth also directed and/or produced this new movie. I heard people saying it looks nothing like that fake trailer, but that’s irrelevant to me because I haven’t seen it. I’d like to tho, but then I’d probably be mad too lol. I like the way the movie looks, it’s decorated a lot like the holiday which I’ve never seen irl (I’m canadian and we do have it, it’s just in october and probably commemorates some other similar event in the colonizing era idk maybe I should look it up because I was never taught it in school but idk we never really decorate, we just have a basic turkey dinner n pie) point is I hate when a holiday themed movie isn’t adequately decorated/costumed but this one served. Haha.

Also I’m not usually a huge fan of slashers but this one just hit for me. It had a few too many loud noise scares but the actual horror and gore made wayyy up for it. I find I don’t actually mind useless jumpscares if they’re not the only form of scare. When the actual content is a delicious cake, those jumpscares are just useless sprinkles that don’t exactly take away, but still don’t add anything. But on their own they fucking suck. You feel.

But what surprised me most was addison rae. I’d heard people theorizing that her casting was kinda like paris hilton in house of wax because she was an influencer people loved to hate on and they wanted to see her die. But miss rae was totally good and fine and she didn’t even die!! Which is not only kinda subversive and iconic, it makes me wonder, since she wasn’t cast just to die, did she want the role because she wants to be in horror? I know she acts, she was in he’s all that but tbh that’s all I know about her other than she had a bad doll line. But yeah she did her job and I’m cackling in the faces of at every lame ass who only went to the movie to jerk off to her death. Consider me a stan.

Whatever we were listening to in the car on our way home from dinner lol. Before that I watched the iKon "Killing Me" performance from their Japan tour (which was excellent), and last song I listened to that wasn't watching a video was "Adorable" by TAN! (stan TAN pls)

22. Do you have any siblings? If yes, what are the similarities and differences between you and them?

As you know, I have two lovely sisters 에지 and 민지 (aka @dkbruinedme and @dkbtho). We all love kpop and music and movies and good food. We all quote movies too often and spend too much time online probably and play a lot of video games. We're all pretty crafty too, our mom taught us all sorts of the fiber arts growing up, and we're all very passionate about the things we care about. The biggest difference between us, right now, is that I live about 250 miles away from them :'( But also 민지 is the funniest one of us, she always knows how to lighten the mood and sometimes I think back on some of her jokes (from literally months ago) and still laugh. She is also THE most musical. If you ever want to talk about music, she's the person to talk to. 에지 is an excellent writer (민지 is too actually, she writes poetry) while I don't write hardly at all lol. I would also argue that she is the most well dressed of the three of us too.

Anyway, that turned into me just gushing about my sisters, but they are the best and I love them.

Vyn's Personal Story Chapter 3? Otherwise known as Vyn's Friendzone Boogaloo?

Vyn getting hit with multiple instances of "he's just my friend!" "you're my close friend!" is really hilarious but really who was even surprised at this point? Vyn's chosen method to break through Rosa's reservations towards him was going through the "Lets be close friends" routine. And he did this several times himself, too.

He sure dug his grave lol. But, to be fair, all things considered that was probably the only way he could get closer to her. Otherwise Rosa would just automatically filter out his overtures as wishful thinking on her part because he just appears to be too good for her.

Way to go for being too perfect, Dr. Sexy.

More serious, spoilery stuff under the cut!

This chapter the best to date imo (barring romance-wise, most probably) because it touches on Vyn's hottest topic: his being a red flag.

Let's admit it: he does check all the tick boxes of potentially doing a 180 in terms of allegiances. But him being one of the main LIs in an otome game makes that as likely as, say, Luke having a 3-year shelf life.

Improbable, but not impossible.

The first few parts of Chapter 3 were bits of exemplary writing: they did a good job of inserting that little bit of doubt of 'what if Vyn is really the bad guy?'

Now, that effect may be diminished for Global players because we have the privilege of knowing what happens in Tears of Themis for the next months or so, given that we're behind CN by a year...

But put yourself in CN player's shoes back when Ch 3 was first released, not knowing about what happens in the Anniversary, or that there would be Vyn cards where he and Rosa are a couple, etc...seeing how Vyn slots in quite perfectly in the perpetrator's profile. It's enough to plant that small seed of doubt of "what if?" and simply entertaining that possibility of Vyn being the perp can throw someone into a loop (for Vyn stans) or completely turn them off (for non Vyn stans).

Not to mention how Vyn effortlessly used PUA techniques on Rosa last Chapter 2 to make a point, as an example.

In any case, fact is Vyn has the capacity to be a bad guy...if he wants to. The clause "if he wants to" is very important--will talk about that in a bit.

We already know how morally grey/neutral Vyn can be by the end of Near and Far, if it serves his goals (goal in this case being prompt, unobstructed justice...just in his own terms).

I wouldn't even touch on False Tears, that hot potato of a card, since a lot of Vyn stans like to wave off his capacity for manipulation, totally neglecting his dictaphone monologue by the end of that card.

Anyway...

IMO, Wesley Dunn was actually correct when he said that he and Vyn are the same. Objectively the same.

Yes, I know that's a hot take, but bear with me.

Barring specifics, both have the same background (we already know just how special Vyn's is, but that doesn't negate the fact that they were both moving in privileged, oppressive circles during their youth), same skills, same level of charisma.

But one thing spells out the difference in how they turned out. This is where I come back to Vyn having the capacity to be a bad guy if he wants to.

See, the difference between him and Wesley are the choices they made; how they used their life experiences and skills. Wesley, we finally learn, used his skills primarily to take revenge at those he deemed wronged him, and he eventually went off the deep end and started harming innocent people to get his jollies. He didn't need to, really, and he didn't do harm directly--he just taught others how--but cause harm he did, lashing out as a way to distract himself from the cold, hard fact that he pushed the only person he loved to suicide.

Now, Vyn. He used his talents to dig himself out of the gilded, fancy hellhole he came from, made himself a totally new persona (and possibly naming himself after his favorite thing, natch), carved a new life with a fulfilling career and devoted following. This is all aside from the fact that he is also devoting much of his effort towards NXX and finding a cure for it.

His choices are never mutually exclusive to the fact that he possesses the very same qualities that enabled Wesley's depravities; we just know that Vyn chose not to go that path. Now, what he did in the ending of Near and Far may be toeing the the line a little bit, BUT let's give our favorite fucked up little man the benefit of the doubt and believe that he believes he did it for the good of everyone involved.

Whew. I sure said some words.

That said...might as well say my hot take about Dr. Sexy: Vyn can be a red flag. Vyn can be sus. But imo that's not a bad thing, really. Because I trust that whatever Vyn does, he truly believes its for the good of everyone involved, somehow. No matter how his choices appear.

I have that much faith in his writers (Hoyo writers), at least.

As I am a Jungkook-biased, I always notice and tend to really focus my attention to his interactions and his relationship with the BTS members. So, as you are Jungkook-biased too, I want to know if you notice this too. Jungkook doesn't seem to be really close to Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jin offcam? That's why his interaction with them that we see and watch on stage and oncam seems too force and is hard to watch? Especially on Jungkook's part, he seems to be forcing himself on them? In his relationship with Namjoon, both of them just kept repeating what they say and compliment to each other. Ex. Jungkook will say that his inspiration is Namjoon, then Namjoon will say that without Jungkook, there is no BTS. I'm really fed up with this. Ackksss!!!🤐😫 For Yoongi, the same thing happens, every time he describes Jungkook, he has nothing else to say but how talented Jungkook is. Especially on Let's BTS! I'm expecting that at least he will not said shallow things, like some trivia and unfamiliar but also surprising things about Jungkook that is different from what he said before, but what happened? Nothing changed!😭😞 And as for his relationship with Jin, especially now, it is really obvious to me that they are not as close with each other as the ways they seems to be. I think, honestly, the reason why they used to joke and tease each other before is just for the enjoyment of fans and for them to promote the brand of the "oldest-youngest relationship". But, maybe now they got bored and tired of pretending as we rarely see each other interacting and mentioning each other anymore. Good for them, actually. At least they don't fake anymore. That's why also I'm really wondering about the Jungkook stans and some Armys who were surprised when Rm and Suga themselves said that HopeKook is really the closest to each other since trainee days. And for now, just so I can't see the awkwardness, I automatically close my eyes when Jungkook interacts with these three hyungs.

I haven't been watching any of the PTD stuff because I dislike the song and the bits I saw of the first PTD concert that was livestreamed was rough and unpolished and not my jam. That being said, I'm hoping it's all going well for them.

Considering the above, I can't comment on their most recent dynamics because all I have seen is bits and pieces from VLives. Do I think JK is "forcing it" with some? Well, no but only because he never bothers to force anything really. From what I've seen, he can't hide his reactions and tends to say what he really thinks whether he should or not (lol, me too, me too). Like, take the whole boxing thing. He proclaims that "yay Jimin is now boxing so I have a partner" yet Tae was all, "what about me? you taught me?" and he was like nah dog. He legit just shut him down saying it wasn't like that. Okeeee. JK just does his thing.

One of my classic gripes about the group is that they repeat the same sentiments ad nauseam. What you mention about NJ is part of this; "there's no BTS without JK" or "NJ was my inspiration" -- yes, we've all heard this 1 million times and we'll probably hear it till the end of days unless BH/Hybe rewrites their talking points. I stopped reading and watching their interviews during Butter era because, legit, it was the SAME talking points over and over again. One of BH/Hybe's most brilliant media strategies is teaching the guys how to talk without saying anything. It's perfect for personal questions, but when it comes to art/their work, it doesn't work. If you don't believe this is happening, read a couple BTS interviews then read a couple SHINee ones.

So I don't necessarily think JK is faking it with Jin or RM or anyone. I think he's behaving how he's been trained. Don't go off script etc. Do I think the entire group is as close as their brand tries to make consumers think? No, not at all.
