Here me out on a better minecraft movie, also it would be properly animated, 2d or 3d, I don'tcare, just no realistic cgi bs:

It starts with Alex and Steve waking up in a forest biome. You watch as they stumble through the world, all accompanied by music from the game. You see them experience moments we all did. Steve could be mining some iron or something, only to get freaked out by the cave sounds. Alex could make the mistake of accidentally hitting a zombie piglin. Taming a wolf or cat, finding their first diamonds, exploring a desert temple, the frustration tryingto find that danm buried tresure, watching their starter home go from a shack of wood, to something beautiful they made with their own two hands. Near end of the movie, after they defeat the ender dragon, Alex looks at Steve and says "Let's go home", her and Steve jump through the portal to the overworld.

The then movie cuts to a live action shot of a ten or so year old boy reading the final lines of the end poem to his little sister off the computer screen

"and the universe said I love you because you are love"

The movie ends, and the credits play.

I don't know what this is going to do to Minecraft as a whole. Honestly, I worry it won't be kind to the source material. But I digress.

Wait since Tom's an enderman and Tord's a creeper in this... How's their friendship(If there is one) work with Edd and Matt? (Who I'm taking a hot guess and saying they're this AU's version of Steve and Alex)

I’m so glad you asked! This isn’t revealed in the comic at this point, but I can definitely answer!

To put it simply, Edd and Matt are kind of terrified of Tom because he’s tall and very strong. Even when they become friends with him and he gains their trust, he’s still somewhat terrifying.

Tom lacks some self awareness, and doesn’t realise how terrifying he comes off. He literally had to be told by Matt “hey don’t break into our house and leave us flowers in our chests- I know you mean well but it’s creepy.”

Tord is a different case. He has thanatophobia (chronic fear of death) and is envious of the fact that both Edd and Matt can respawn, while he’s a walking bomb that can die at any moment.

Tord is frustrated that Edd is super reckless and basically faces no consequences for dying other than losing his stuff.

He does find solace in the fact that Matt agrees with him most of the time, mostly that Edd is a reckless idiot who’s giving everybody heart attacks every time he dies.

Also he hates that Edd has a cat. Because he hates cats.

Also you are correct! Edd and Matt are Steve and Alex!
