I made this immediately after Ithaca saga premiere, when Steven rodriguez made that short video. Poor Poseidon! First version without the blood, the second is a lil more gorey but hey

major major major kudos to steven rodriguez who already has one of the most delicious voices ever, period, but the way he fucking nailed the end of six hundred strike??? like vocally - it's obviously mad impressive. but then for his screams of agony to feel so gutteral while being so musical at the same time? unmatched. AND THIS KIND OF GUTTERAL SOUND? that's hard to produce, that's raw and honest and intimate. to produce that in a recording booth?? is. insane. i cannot stress this enough

you know how percy like...canonically can't sing? i prefer to imagine he has a voice like steven rodriguez from epic where his voice is just raspy and made more for metal/rock music than anything. i like to think it's from growing up with sally always listening to rock/metal music and he would sing along, frying his vocal chords to sound like the singers she would listen to. i also say this because i've seen so many people say that steven rodriguez sounds like he's been gargling salt water for years so that's why he is the perfect sound for poseidon and i just think that would be a neat little thing for percy as well
