I Watched The First Two Episodes of Hazbin Hotel

Overall I wasn't bored. It's a fun show from the little I've seen. I have thoughts and notes I'd like to give so here's how this is gonna go:

🔵 Is for things I liked/would like to be expanded upon in the show's future.

🔴 Is for things I disliked ranging from nitpicks and just general critisisms.

Whenever something about Angel Dust's trauma I will come up, I'll mark "————" at the beginning & ending so you can avoid the topic if you'd like.

🔴 I am so confused. This is narrarated by Charlie. And her goal is to redeem sinners so they can enter Heaven to save their lives. But she also knows that Heaven doesn't kill sinners to stop over-population, it's just plain evil. So, what are we doing here again?

🔴 This is the first time her relationship with her father is mentioned in the show. And it's done though a joke made by Alastor in a commercial he made. (Also, how would he know about Charlie's "daddy issues"? This isn't common knowledge as far as I know).

🔴 WHAT THE FUCK? I'M SORRY. WHAT THE FUCK? I hate being this negative in the beginning but WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. I don't want to discuss this line any more than the shock I felt while hearing it. Next.

🔴 Everyone already talked about how the camera work is crap and I agree. But here's an idea: If they wanted to make something grandiose, why not make a classic musical number that's completely unrealistic, and then make the reality of Hell clash with it?

🔴 This scene could be cut off mostly entirely. The point here is to show how awful Adam is, and the second the talking's over, we get a better song that does just that.

🔵 At first I was gonna make this a critisism, but all it did was making me ask questions, which is good in a first episode. This has me wondering about the characterization of Heaven and how it came to be. I can accept them being a shitty bureaucracy who only appear good, but this is some Saturday Morning Cartoon villian stuff. I'm very curious about this.

🔵 Niffty couldn't say her lines and just stared at the camera and was completely unaware of the fact that she did a shitty job. How come? I wonder what they'll do with it.

🔴 This is edited. The scene didn't go like this. We cut from the hotel to the Vees before we see Alastor's counter-attack. They cut to a really long section of the episode, in the middle of something that could be dealt with in a second. I wasn't as invested as I could have been in the introduction of the Vees, because I kept waiting to come back to Alastor.

🔵 I'd like to know why Charlie is so naive. Optimistic? Yeah, makes sense. But naive? Now that's interesting to know. She clearly goes outside and sees how sinners aren't the safest people (ie Happy Day in Hell), so you think that spending eternity with them would get her acquainted with the culture and make her adjust her behaviors. But she's still looking at the guy who just tried to kill her and goes "Oh, hello again". I'm dying to know why she's like that.

🔵 I see where this is going<3 Despite it all, Angel Dust clearly still loves acting. So when he'll escape Val, he'll show his theatrical side by improvising and acting for Charlie<3

🔵 Despite Angel Dust not adoring the hotel, it's very much a safe place for him. A safe the Vees, from Valentino. Now, someone who worked for them just a second before getting discovered, is in. Can't wait to see more of this.

🔵 I liked the rivalry of Alastor and Vox. I liked how Vox is this perfect big shot, yet crumbles about Alastor when he's barely trying. Definitely a highlight.

Doctor Elise Ep 2

So much for trying to do individual episode posts every week! We gonna do them in clumps and queue-away instead because life gets in the way some times! Trying to still break them up by episode though~

If episode 1 was the introduction to how the reincarnation stuff works and her previous life, episode 2 is the introduction to Fantasy Britannia/Germany/Russia before the Fantasy Crimean War, and setting up the premise of the show. The royal family are the de Romanoffs but they're blond haired and blue eyed, and the world feels more German than British, so FANTASY EUROPE IT IS YALL.

BY THE WAY Elise is from the de Clorance family which is hiLARIous play of FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE!!!

Also. We get a character that WAS NOT IN THE MANHWA and LOOKS LIKE HAKU FROM SPIRITED AWAY. I didn't completely forget this man from the manhwa did I???? It's been a year or two since I read it but I wouldn't forget a long haired man.

HELLO WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU??? THE SNARKY KING'S GUARD??? (IS THIS GOING TO BE A RARE PAIR SHIP because I'm here for it. A guard who demands that everyone respects the king but keeps interrupting the man himself??? yes, hello, thank you lmfao)

MAN I wish I had hair as gorgeous as this king. (Who is voiced by Inoue, Kazuhiko who plays Kakashi (Naruto), Madara(Natsume), and fricken YUKI FROM GRAVITATION BTW LMFAO)

and HERE he is.. Prince Sparkly Himself!!! Prince Linden de Romanoff.

He looks like he's going to be your typical Ice Prince, but this man blushes SO DAMN MUCH ITS REALLY CUTE.

I was trying to figure out why he has two voice actors and... Well. His main voice actor is Azakami, Youhei who plays a ton of supporting characters, including a dozen of small roles in Aggretsukko which is hilarious to think about.

Anyways, we get a lot of set-up about who Elise was before she died in her first life, and a declaration that she no longer wants to marry the crown prince and instead wants to be a doctor, setting up the stakes for the story, and gives us some fun Doctor flavored power fantasy tidbits, with a fairly accurate(?) diabetes diagnosis!

She's not trying to hide her knowledge at all, including knowledge about what's to come like war tactics, but the hand waving of (OH, I read about it in a book! Oh, I was just thinking about the topic very hard!) is very powerful magic in this world it seems.

Elise makes a wager with the King that if she can pass the medical exam, she gets to call of the engagement. Everyone thinks she's craycray, but this girl has a one track mind that has jumped of the rails of PrincePrincePrince and on to ScalpelScalpelScalpel.

But also. This girl legit smiles at him while thinking about surgery and doctor stuff, and has him blushing. This man has zero interest or experience with women up until now, and it shows, or will show in later episodes.

ELISE is also oblivious to this as she apologizes for everything she's done up until now, and everything she hasn't dont yet in this time line. And is like.. "I know you don't want this engagement, so sorry for forcing you and always stepping over your boundaries."

YOU DID BRUH. IN YOUR PAST LIFE.

It feels like your typical self sacrificing female protag in a shojo. BUT. She's self-sacrificing for the selfish (positive) sake of CUTTING PEOPLE OPEN!!! It's cute to know the romance will have a base to build off of though, and hopefully be realistic.

My favorite take from this episode, and in the series so far though is...

Capybara: THERE IS NO CULTURAL TOUCH STONE IN THIS WORLD FOR MOTHER TERESA!!! Crow: YOU DON'T KNOW THAT. Capybara: ...I don't know that. But there's no Christianity in this world!!! Crow: You don't know that. Capybara: ...I don't know that. NO CHRISTIANITY IN MY ISEKAI PLEASE!!!

Moral of the story: Anything goes in an Isekai. Just don't look to closely or you'll break it. lolol

Game Caterers x HYBE (ep 1-1)

HYBE! We’ll put the music on. Come on in on your own

Lumina entered the the camp ground with Lee Hyun. The both of them bowed and greeted PD Na and the crew. Arriving at their assigned tent Lumina took the seat next to Minhyun. She greeted him politely then tuned to greet Baekho as well. Lee Hyun then sat to her other side. “This reminds me of...” he paused as he sat down. “What do you call that? The restaurant at university festivals.” The other three agreed with his observation. 

“I can’t believe they located us here.” said Lumina as she leaned over the table looking down the line of tents. “No one else is wearing black.” she stated after observing the other groups in their tents. 

“I feel like I have to greet the guests for the funeral.” Lee Hyun said, making the other three laugh.

“Who decided the dress code?” Lumina said looking directly into the camara with a threatening expression. “Who was it?” The older men laughed at her tone. 

“Lumina’s the brightest on our team.” said Baekho, pointing out the young girls bright blue hair that was styled in two small buns on the top of her head. Her name tag was decorated with colourful stickers of hearts, stars, planets and smiley faces. 

“I heard we have to decide on a team name.” Minhyun told the rest of his team mates. “Have you thought of it?” The camara focuses on the teams lost faces before cutting to another group. 

The crew informed the artiest that they will all come forward when their team is called. The teams all started discussing how they would enter. 

The united team of soloists were still thinking of a name when the camara cuts back to them. “TT?” Suggested Minhyun. Baekho and Lumina let out laughs repeating the name. “It sounds good.” said Minhyun.

“I like it.” exclaimed Lee Hyun excitedly with a laugh. He slightly tuned to Lumina, who was seated beside him. “What do you think?”

“I love it!” was her reply. The girl hadn’t stopped smiling since she sat down and with every passing second her excitement for the day ahead only grew.

“Then TT it is.” Lee Hyun announced. “We’re TT of HYBE.” 

It wasn’t long before PD Na took the mic and announced they would begin the introductions. “Form now on you’ll enter one by one.” he said. “The first team. Let me present to you, fromis_9.” 

Everyone began cheering as the girls stood up to make their entrance. “I think they prepared something.” said Minhyun. Next to him Lumina was cheering waving her arms, excited to see the other teams performances. The cheering got louder as the girl group lifted their leader, Saerom off the ground and carried her to the center. They danced to their band new song ‘Stay This Way’ earning them applause from their fellow artists. 

“Next , Tomorrow X Together.” 

Lumina couldn’t really see them from where she was sitting but she started grooving the moment ‘Crown’ started playing, she was surprised when it suddenly stopped. But then ‘Good Boy Gone Bad’ began playing the the boys flipped the tables before running to the center. Lumina tried cheering for them but she just couldn’t hold in her laughter watching her friends go wild. Yeonjun waved his towel around like it was nunchucks and Beomgyu used their name sign like a gun, making sound effects. At the end they let out a scream then bowed. Everyone clapped for them.

“Gosh, I’m getting a headache.” Lee Hyun sat with his fingers massaging between his eyes, shaking his head at the energy of the young idols. Next to him Lumina tried her best to calm her breathing down. “They’re crazy.” she said as she wiped tears from her eyes. 

Next up was Enhypen. The young boy group took to the center dancing to their song ‘Blessed-Cursed’, receiving cheers from the other artists. After their performance Jay complained that TXT took their intro too far right before theirs. The two groups started playfully arguing while the next group was getting ready to enter the field. 

“This is getting fun,” said PD Na from is place in the front. “Seventeen are moving fast.” Everyone’s attention went to the group at the back, laughing when they saw that Hoshi had picked up a large fan. 

“Producer Na! Don’t pressure us!” Yelled Seungkwan as he tried to get between the table and Mingyu (who hadn’t gotten up yet). “Gosh. This is crazy.” He said, more to himself then to anyone else. 

The seven members of Seventeen (not all the members could attend) began walking in with ‘Mansae’ playing. Everyone cheered loudly for them. The song changed from ‘Mansae’ to ‘HOT’ and all the members started fanning Joshua. Lumina couldn't help laughing at Hoshi holding the big fan and Mingyu acting like Joshua’s body guard. The song changed again form ‘HOT’ to ‘Clap’ and everyone began clapping along. The song suddenly cut just before the end which was met with complaints from Hoshi and Seungkwan. “Why did you end the song there?” Hoshi protested. 

From her tent Lumina laughed as the Seventeen members continued to make a fuss in front of PD Na. “They’re good.” said Baekho after watching his juniors performance. 

“They’re talented.” sighed Lee Hyun. The team was visibly getting more nervous with their turn to enter the field quickly approaching.

At the sound of her giggling, Baekho lent on the table to get Lumina’s attention. “Are you nervous?” he asked her.

“No.” she replied right away. The others in the tent laughed at the girls fast response. “We can pull this off.” 

“I’m glad our Maknae has such confidence.” Lee Hyun patted the young girls shoulder. 

“I’ll follow you.” Minhyun smiled to her. 

Lumina sat up straight in her chair, a look of determination on her face. “We’re ready.” she said, her voice a little deeper then before.

The others couldn’t help laughing at the dramatic tone of the youngest member. “She should be our leader.” chuckled Lee Hyun. 

But it’s not their turn just yet. The members of Le Sserafim were getting ready for their turn to enter the field. Having just debuted recently, the members seemed quite nervous. However, despite their nerves, they walked confidently to the center and danced to their song ‘Fearless.’ Everyone cheered for their new company sisters when their song ended.

Meanwhile in Team TT’s tent they were going over their performance. “Do you have a dance?” Minhyun asked Lee Hyun. He started singing ‘You are the best of my life’ then Lee Hyun raised his index finger up.

“That’s it.” said Lee Hyun  

“That’s it?” asked Baekho

“Because it’s a ballad.” replied Lee Hyun with a laugh. “I can’t be like...” He moved his arms like he was dancing making Lumina laugh. 

“So for Lee Hyun’s song we just do this.” She raised her arm up with her finger pointed to the sky. The others followed making her giggle. “This is gonna be fun.”

“Now of the highlight of the picnic.” PD Na spoke making the members of Team TT flustered. “The living legends of HYBE. Lee Hyun, Baekho, Hwang Minhyun and Lumina. Team TT. Music Please.” 

Nu’est’s ‘Love Me’ started to play as Team TT began to emerge from their tent. Lee Hyun walked at the front holding their sign while Baekho and Minhyun walked behind holding up finger hearts. Lumina, full of energy, was busy shooting hearts to everyone there. Quickly the song changed to Lumina’s ‘Trouble? Travel!’ She ran ahead to dance to her song, other artists cheering for her as her team mates grooved (awkwardly) along. Then Lee Hyun’s ‘You are the best of my life’ began the team all raised their arms with their finger pointing up. They stood in the center like that while other artiest copied them, raising their arms up. Some started swaying their arms and sang along. Lumina couldn’t help but join in. While the rest of her team stood still, telling PD Na he should end the song, she waved her hand in time with the others. When the song finished Seungkwan, Mingyu and Joshua through their shoes into the field, causing Lumina to laugh. Lee Hyun used the sign as a golf club and pretended to hit a shoe like a golf ball. 

“Why did you throw your shoes?” asked PD Na, confused as to why they did that.

“This shows respect.” Seungkwan explained as he hopped to retrieve his shoe. 

Gathering all together in the middle of the field, PD Na addressed all the artists. “The first HYBE Picnic has began.” Everyone clapped and cheered. “That was 95% of the opening ceremony. We have 5% left. For the opening address, HYBE’s...” He paused, leaving the artists guessing as to who will speak. 

“Is Mr. Bang coming?” Seungkwan questioned. 

“He claims he provided the foundation.” Na continued. “If SM has Kangta, HYBE has Lee Hyun.” Cheers filled the air as Lee Hyun stepped forward to say a few words to all the participating artists. He made everyone laugh by making an echo sound effect before beginning his speech. 

“Let’s have fun without injuries. This is the first time for everyone to gather. When will we get the chance again to gather and have fun? Fighting!” He ended his speech. 

“Fighting!” Everyone cheered. 

Everyone retuned to their tents buzzing with excitement and anticipation of what could happen next.

oh wow i forgot how jarring this episode feels after episode 15 since we just like go right back to where we left off in 14 after sophie's death and the eri reveal

also look at that, prospera got up from her desk chair but immediately sat down again. i wonder if belmeria is aware at all about prospera's mobility issues too

forgot about this line lol this makes suletta somehow getting her into hots-san pretty much a miracle

ok yea yea prospera shrug memes aside, this part of this scene is so good lol. like prospera just fucking calls belmeria out on her hypocrisy. belmeria is such a coward lmao.

i don't really have an opinion on the fact that she lived to see the end, but i feel like she doesn't get shit on enough for being complicit in all the evil shit peil gets up to. i was really excited to see prospera call her out at the beginning of this episode when i first watched lol

the news broadcast frames are always so interesting to me in this whole show lol. like it's probably the easiest and kind of laziest way to do worldbuilding, but given how few eps we got and what a mess s2 is, i guess i'll take it

and i really just love the part in this scene when suletta starts fidgeting and we SEE miorine notices this. we SEE miorine notice that suletta is deeply uncomfortable with this conversation. it's such a blink or you'll miss it moment and i just really appreciate that detail

i really wish we would have gotten miorine finding out more about the vanadis incident on-screen instead of it being part of all the things that got off-screened in the second of the show

like at some point her and suletta had to have talked about all this, yeah? suletta even has "first-hand" knowledge of sorts because of eri pummeling her with data transfer memories

this is a great episode though. like it already heightens the tension and we know something is about to happen but god none of us were ready for 17 lmao

i think i watched the greenhouse conversation a million times after this ep aired and after the 17 break week. i really can't express how amazing i think the voice acting is on that part and although i honestly don't know shit about sound engineering, the softness and vulnerability in miorine's voice throughout that whole scene is just amazing

It was a nice day. A really really nice day. The spring wind swept through Seoul and it made Jisung even more upset that he had a packed schedule that day. It came as no surprise to him seeing as the promotional period for their first album was just getting started. Even still, Jisung felt his energy dwindle whenever the cameras turned on.

“Everyone!” Haechan started off filming for their promotional vlog with an upbeat smile, “How are we feeling today?” 

The members cheered loudly as Haechan did their introductions. That day they were filming a short vlog at an arcade for their Reload EP. It gave the members some time to play games and relax, though Jisung admitted that he wished he could have been back at the dorm relaxing over an arcade. 

Jisung nodded along gently with what his members were saying, not really paying much attention until one of the staff members passed him a tripod stick and camera. Renjun stepped up next to Jisung and linked arms with him.

“Let’s go to the claw machines,” Renjun said, pulling the younger boy along.

Without much will to argue with his hyung, Jisung let Renjun lead him around the arcade to the claw machines. Watching his friend attempt to get a stuffed animal from inside the claw machine proved to be more entertaining than Jisung had expected.

“No!” Renjun exclaimed as the small plushy dropped out of the claw. He dropped to the ground in defeat. Jisung laughed and turned the camera to face Renjun.

“Hyung, I’m going to go explore,” Jisung said before turning away from Renjun, who just nodded and gave a brief wave to Jisung before turning back to his claw machine game.

Jisung turned away and walked through the arcade, his eyes drifting to the other members as he did. Off in one corner, Chenle was playing air hockey with Haechan while Jaemin, Mark, and Jeno were gathered around a shooting game. Jisung smiled gently and kept walking. He glanced up at the camera in his hand and gave a gentle wave before continuing to walk.

Over on one side of the arcade, a bunch of doors were lined up with a large light-up sign that said: KARAOKE. Jisung started making his way over, his hand hovering over one of the door knobs when heavy footsteps caught his attention.

As he turned to see who was running toward him, Jisung let out a grunt as the person slammed into him. There was a loud gasp from the person as they both tumbled to the ground. Jisung dropped his camera as his head bumped into the ground. A heavyweight now held down Jisung’s lower half of his body.

With a groan, Jisung reached up to rub his head as he tried to sit up.

“Ah,” Jisung said as he felt a bump starting to form on his head. 

He turned to the person who ran into him and his eyes connected with hers. She held herself up with her arms but her body leaned over Jisung’s. Her dark hair fell into her face as she stared at his face. Her dark eyes danced with gold swirls and Jisung couldn’t bring himself to look away.

A warm feeling erupted from Jisung’s chest and spread across his entire body. He could feel his heart pounding against his chest and he could sense that hers was as well. There was almost an overwhelming sense of calmness that came with her presence. Jisung felt as though he had never experienced true happiness until he met her.

From under her cropped jacket, Jisung could see something glowing gold. The girl followed his gaze to her left collarbone and she gently pulled aside her jacket. Just under the strap of her tank top, sitting there on her collarbone glowing a brilliant gold was her soulmate tattoo.

Jisung opened his mouth to say something when voices caught his attention. He turned toward the urgent voices but didn’t get a chance to even question them before the girl jumped to her feet.

“I saw her run in here,” the voice said.

The girl looked backward in panic, her eyes suddenly wide.

“Fuck,” Jisung heard her swear under her breath. The girl jumped to her feet and grabbed Jisung’s arm, pulling him into one of the karaoke booths. Jisung barely managed to grab the camera on the ground before he was whisked away.

“What’s going on?” Jisung looked out the little window on the door to see two police officers entering the arcade. They walked over to Jisung’s manager and the production crew. One of the police officers glanced over at the karaoke booths and Jisung turned to look at the girl who seemed to be trying her best to melt into the wall. 

“Are you running from the police?” Jisung asked her.

“I wouldn’t necessarily call it running,” the girl replied, “More like I’m avoiding them,”

Jisung stared at her for a while, the way she spoke was hypnotic. He liked how she spoke a bit slower and how her words seemed drawn out. He liked being in her presence because, for the first time since he became an idol, he felt genuinely at peace.

Jisung sat down across from the girl. Despite her cool laid-back appearance, he could tell she was anxious. No, he could feel that she was anxious. He could feel her emotions clearly, the way her heart raced, and how she was trying so hard to calm herself down.

“Who the hell are you?”

“Naerin,” the girl replied. “Im Naerin,” her eyes flashed over to Jisung, recognition dawning on her face. “You wouldn’t happen to be Park Jisung from NCT would you?” she asked as she sat back down. Her eyes looked up and down Jisung’s body, studying him as though he was some kind of art piece in a museum, before landing on his hair. “You’re pretty famous you know,”

Again that hypnotic tonation of her voice. Jisung couldn’t put his finger on it, she spoke differently than everyone else. He just wanted to keep listening to her voice all day.

Just as he was about to say something, his eyes caught movement from outside the karaoke booth. He jumped to his feet and looked out the window to see the two police officers making their way over. His eyes widened in panic and he grabbed the microphone from where it sat on the table. Playing a random song, Jisung blasted the music and started to dance around energetically to the song.

Naerin gave him a wide-eyed stare as he danced, his broad back blocking the window. She almost started laughing at his theatrics to prevent anyone from looking in. He sang passionately, and even if he was just singing for fun, his voice was silky and deep.

As the song came to an end, Jisung glanced out the window to see the police officers heading away, deeming that the karaoke booths didn’t harbor the girl they were looking for. Jisung sighed and placed the microphone back down and glanced at Naerin. She gave him an amused look and he felt his face start to heat up.

“Don’t look at me like that,” Jisung blushed.

“Like what?” Naerin smiled.

Jisung’s stomach curled and did a flip. He wanted to blame it on his recent soulmate bond with her but Jisung couldn’t deny that Naerin was an exceptionally attractive person. Her entire presence dripped with confidence and she had the perfect smile that mixed between a smirk and a grin. 

“You have an accent,” Jisung said, “Where are you from?”

Naerin blinked as if surprised by his words, “Is that seriously what you’re asking me right now?”

Jisung blinked, “Well- I mean-”

“Aren’t you curious about other things?” Naerin leaned forward a bit making Jisung lean back. He was suddenly very aware of how close they were sitting to each other in the karaoke booth.

“I mean, your soulmate is currently being chased by the cops,” Naerin said with a serious expression, “And you’re curious about where I’m from? Shouldn’t you be more worried about why I am being chased?”

Jisung swallowed hard. He felt so comfortable in her presence that he completely forgot how he got to this spot, to begin with. In any normal circumstance, Jisung would have been freaking out about being dragged into a small space with a random girl.

Suddenly Naerin’s face broke into a smile and she leaned away from Jisung, “I’m just playing,”  She stood up and looked out the window to see if the police had left yet. Naerin watched as the two police officers apologized to Jisung’s manager for intruding.

“Why are you being chased?” Jisung asked.

“Nothing crazy, don’t worry,” Naerin said vaguely.

“Then why are they after you?” Jisung replied. Despite his brain telling him that he should be wary of the girl across from him, the bond he now had with Naerin made him feel calm. He felt like he could trust her despite not knowing a single thing about her. Despite the fact that she was being pursued by the police.

“I stole something from them,” Naerin replied. She reached into her pocket and showed Jisung a pair of keys. 

His eyes widened in surprise. “Those are-”

“They’re the keys to the police car,” Naerin smiled as if this was some crazy game to her. 

“You could get arrested for that!” Jisung exclaimed.

“Hence why I’m running away from them,” Naerin shook her head at Jisung’s slow uptake on the reality of her situation. She glanced out the window once more, “One of the officers is my brother, so I’m not too worried,”

She let out a gentle sigh and sat back down. After a moment she realized Jisung was staring at her and turned her attention back to him. He flinched a bit when the two made eye contact and quickly pulled his eyes away.

A bubbly laugh filled the air and Jisung quickly turned to look at Naerin. She laughed lightly, trying to hide it behind her hand but it didn’t do much seeing as Jisung could clearly hear her. Despite her obviously laughing at him, Jisung’s stomach did little flips at her light laugh. It made a hot blush creep up his neck.

“Jeez, by the way you act, I would think that you’ve already fallen in love with me,” Naerin joked.

“Can you be serious for one moment?” Jisung frowned.

“Well that doesn’t sound fun at all,” Naerin smirked and Jisung could tell she had fun getting on people’s nerves.

Jisung gave her a blank stare and Naerin gently took her phone out of her pocket. She passed it to Jisung and he glanced down at it before gently tapping his phone number in. Naerin tapped a few buttons on her phone and Jisung’s suddenly buzzed from inside his pocket. He pulled it out to see a new notification.

Naerin stood up and pulled the hood of her jacket over her head. “Let’s meet up sometime. You know,” she shrugged, “Sometime before the two of us start to get violently sick from being apart,”

“Wait-” Jisung started to say but Naerin already ducked out of the karaoke booth and made a beeline for the exit. His eyes widened as she sprinted past the two police officers. They watched as she sprinted past them before realizing who she was and running after her.

“Im Naerin! Get back here!” one of the police officers yelled.

Jisung stepped out of the karaoke booth, his eyes still wide in shock at what had just happened. Renjun, who had seen Naerin run out of the karaoke booth, made his way over to Jisung. He took in the younger boy’s dazed stare before gently patting him on the shoulder.

“Are you alright?” Renjun asked snapping Jisung out of his daze, “She was running from the police, why were you in the booth with her?”

Jisung blinked before rubbing the back of his neck, “Hyung,” Jisung said, his eyes still watching where Naerin had run off, “I just met my soulmate,” he looked at the older boy with wide eyes, “What the hell do I do now?”

Ep 3. 

Soul continues to be soulless by killing grannies. Suicide by scarlet kiss potion - I wonder if that was the same they used for Nathan’s mother? 

Jessica gets freaky in bed (by shapeshifting into a guy she just killed. Not sinister at all, huh?)

Nathan is finally improving, especially after hearing that his gran is dead. He draws a bird right before Soul and the hunters come to get him. I wonder if Marcus has been watching over them a while as this bird. I find it i a little funny how Jessica shouts orders to everyone in the car when Marcus attacks. She is still just a recruit, but I guess it’s a little foreshadowing to how she will be giving orders in the future. And I wonder what Marcus wanted with the attack - we are supposed to think he wants to kill Nathan, but was he just pissed with these people using his kid as a punching bag?

Soul kidnaps Nathan, puts a needle in his neck (why do people have to do that always?? That is not a thing, don’t stab people in their neck with needles pleasE). 

Nathan gets away and the guard Steve goes SPLAT

The decimation sfx is awesome. 

Recap of events from Annalise’s last months. Her brother was beat up. David flirted - not quite as charming as at the bowling, but she goes for it. Soul is a supportive father. And then she kills Beef the rat. Beef goes splat on the cream carpets. And this is why wall to wall carpets are a bad idea, I just CANNOT understand why they are a thing. Annalise tries to hide what has happened, which to me shows that she can’t be that close to her parents. I would have run to my mother screaming that I had killed my rat and what should I do, my power is exploding pets!! But she doesn’t trust it with her family. And furthermore, her dad finds it, seems to put two and two together, but does not ask. Communication is key, people!

But later on she finds info on her skill in the dark magic book, which makes me wonder if she got this skill for a reason. Maybe even by Soul’s doing?

Then she drives to London (she is only 17 tho, is that legal?), finds Nathan and kills Steve (SPLAT)

and now to my favourite part so far in the show. 

They sit bloody in a café screaming “help” at Nathan’s hand and... it works! And it leads them to everybody’s favourite character Gabriel, the cheeky frenchman..

First of all, I love his hallway, I wonder how many fairy lights did they need for that you think?? What would my electricity bill look like if I tried it myself??

Gabiel is on a roll with great lines in this scene. “Please don’t fuck in my bathroom”, “Can you believe these motherfuckers?”, “Well, I’d best put some trousers on, hadn’t I?” Such a golden character introduction, I fell in love immediately. 

Sorry Annalise, but the rest of us do. The apartment scene really launches us into the next chapter. Through the window. 

And Annalise get a moment where she chooses between Nathan and Gabiel (AKA changing her power) and her dad (AKA guy she can’t communicate with) and she literally dives into the unknown to write a new path for herself. 

I’m so excited to see the trio’s journey again!!

Flynn Oshkosh was born and raised in America. He was a pretty typical city boy of his young age, liked to party, didn’t take life or school too seriously, but was still intelligent enough to get good grades. He enrolled in college for mechanical engineering but dropped out when the partying and flirting became his main priority. Unsure of what to do with himself after, he decided to uproot his life on a spur of the moment decision and move country, choosing England thinking he could woo English women with his American charms 

Well, he arrives and decides to enlist in a firefighting programme as he sees an advert for it in a shop window and thinks “why not”. He’s still very much in the college boy mindset and is messing about during the course introduction. There’s another student there and she’s not taking any bullshit from the guys. Her name? Belle Riddles, and she’s focused and determined, the best of the class and by far the course leader’s favourite for her dedication To the practise of fire safety. Flynn finds her stuck up and boring. Belle finds him frat-ish and annoying … thus began a rivalry. this did somewhat kick start Flynn into taking some kind of serious stance on the course but it was more to show Belle up. Despite not being as studious, Flynn was still strong, charismatic and brave and could handle the physical aspects of the course fine, so he was getting good marks too much to her annoyance, but then going out on the town and getting drunk with the lower level recruits before stumbling back to the training halls. Well one night he comes back from a party, stumbling around, pretty disoriented and can’t find the light switch. In his drunken state he lights a candle before passing out … the problem being he was still holding on to a bottle of strong vodka, and he manages to knock over both the bottle and the candle onto the floor, where a small fire starts. If it had burnt out this might have been ok, but the fire catches onto his bed Post and spreads .. all whilst he’s sleeping. Soon enough the other recruits wake to the smell of smoke and begin to panic when they see smoke from under Flynn’s door. Most of the other lads are also still to drunk to really comprehend the situation - enter Belle. She wastes no time at all in grabbing an extinguisher and breaking into Flynn’s room to pull him out herself. He wakes up in hospital, having inhaled a lot of smoke and having some minor burns to his forearm but is otherwise going to be ok. The experience humbles him, knowing he put not only his own life but the life of others in danger had shaken him to the core, and knowing now how dangerous fire really is and that his rival Belle of all people saved him … well he admires that.

After recovering he returns to the course. The next time the other’s ask him to go out to a bar he’s initially excited … then tells them to go ahead, he’d rather stay sober and study with Belle. And they do, he thanks her for saving his life and She comments on his changed attitude. The two end up becoming best friends and completing the fire training course with first and second honours. 

Belle is offered a job immediately, she is to go to Sodor and be given a modified railway engine to fight summer fires. Of course whilst there, there’s still plenty of fires, and the Fat Controller wants to bring another fighter onto Sodor … well Belle knows who to recommend for the job  

Flynn can still be a bit full of himself of course, maybe a bit reckless but that’s who he is. He still takes his job seriously, even if he’s a bit jealous sometimes, and Belle’s there to keep him in line.

Idk why I can't stop thinking about these two rn tho they weren't really on my mind during my main fandom days but I've rewatching old eps + a really nice fake ep on youtube that characterises them PERFECTLY and I love them, I love their dynamic.

They're best friends, they're rivals, they're coworkers, they're married, they're signing divorce papers wait nvm, they fight and break up and kiss and make up, they'd sell the other for a corn chip, they'd sacrifice themselves for each other, they're girlbossing and malewifing, they're doing all of it and I love them for it.

eurgh i'm still salty that Witch from Mercury was like half the length of a typical gundam anime! i mean they wrapped up the main plot well enough, but they could've let it breathe a bit, dug a bit deeper into its themes etc. like... i love Suletta and Miorine and i'm so happy that they got a happy ending! but it was also really frustrating that a lot of stuff kinda happened super fast or off-screen (remember Prospera's whole thing about needing Miorine to become the President of Benerit Group to continue Quiet Zero? then Mio became the president off screen while she's having her breakdown I guess? it was sorta mentioned in a line of dialogue. and Quiet Zero was completed off-screen right away? okay.)

also... i like Guel fine, i think he's an interesting/sympathetic character for the most part, but the Jeturk family drama got soooo much screen time near the end there. like if there were more episodes it wouldn't feel as aggravating but i'm like. we're in the endgame here i don't actually care. I did like Felsi saving the day because it speaks to breaking the cycle of legacies as a shackle (the entire show is about children inheriting their parents' bloody legacies and being a pawn in the grudges of the previous generation), and I guess that could be a hint that Suletta and Miorine are able to stop Prospera (without killing/physically harming her), but. I was kinda annoyed that so much of the other stuff was rushed, so it felt like this plot got a disproportionate amount of screentime? annoyed that Schwarzette looks so cool but the fight was kinda hamfisted due to time constraints

AND CALIBARN! I wish they had alluded to it before the official introduction, it felt super rushed to me and i really wish we got more lore about it. like... IBO's mythologizing of gundams in its setting was really cool, and for a series that has "witch" in its title i kinda wish they leaned more heavily on those concepts—i'm not great with technical details so the point about Calibarn having no AI filter for the data storm would've felt more emotionally powerful/resonant if the idea of a super powerful ultra forbidden tech that takes on a kind of supernatural/mythic quality was brought up earlier, to build up the hype (and terror) of it

(and like, it sounded like Bandai kinda screwed the writers/staff over, judging by the whole "it's up to interpretation" BS statement regarding SuleMio from Bandai and the staff having a very different reaction to that? idk if the writers knew they only have 24 eps going in, or if it got cut afterwards)

i have a couple fav episodes!!! in no particular order, i rly like:

invasion of the idiot dog brain!! gir is rly cute and funny in this ep, its what got me to rly start liking him

game slave 2!! gaz is one of my favs and shes great in this ep. plus i rly like all the Gamer Humor, u can tell it was written by someone who actually understands what video game fans r like ASDKJLDSK

bloaty's pizza hog!! another gaz-centric ep, shes so funny and badass in this. autism icon (i think abt "im trying to draw a LITTLE PIGGY" on a regular basis btw)

tak the hideous new girl!!! tak is one of my FAV characters i miss her SO MUUUCHHH this ep was such a great introduction to her shes so fucking cool

zim eats waffles!!! ik nothing much rly happens in this one but thats part of the charm imo KDASJLKDJ also this ep makes me hungry

the wettening!! i just love how petty zim is in this one KSJLKJF he could have annihilated earth in the end but instead he chose to get vengeance on this 12 year old boy for throwing a water balloon at him which i think is a shining example of who zim is as a character LOLLLL

gir goes crazy and stuff!! can u tell i rly like gir episodes SKLJDSLKJ i think its rly interesting to see what hes capable of when hes NOT all glitchy and malfunctioning. if u think abt it the tallests saved zims life by giving him a faulty sir unit

lsp episodes ranked by how much they make me want to punch myself in the face out of how upset i am that i cant hug and hold her for 4 hours straight

bad timing is the big one. the entire premise of that episode is basically “what if lsp finally found someone who really likes her and she connects with but it was her fault she lost him” and i love it. it consumes my mind that she could’ve had it all right there. and i really think the cherry on top is the way at the end she begs for bonnie to erase her memory of the whole thing. literally who wouldn’t do the same thing. i would

be sweet is rlly good because it has sweet pea and Also because it addresses that yeah lsp is now on good terms with her parents and doing things for herself and doing well but she still isn’t happy. she still feels alone and disconnected from other people and she regrets choices she’s made that make her feel like she isn’t worth good things other people have. it matters a lot to me because that specific thing of hers pretty much is never brought up any other time ever except in this episode so it’s special. also the part near the end where she sings the little lullaby to sweet pea Aaaaaaa. ya! her soft voice is my fav thing eever 😊😊😊

slime central is another one where it kinda revolves around her self esteem being put into a blender on highest speed lol. her idea of perfect is skating with her friends and having a boyfriend Basically. and that just gets taken away with her, she’s rejected and called terrible and humiliated. and yet after that she’s still herself because like. she has to be. the 2 biggest moments in that ep is when she falls over and everyone in booing and she’s just laying on her back in the dark looking absolutely mortified and after they get kicked out where she’s crying about never fitting in

I KNOW loyalty to the king is not an lsp episode but what there IS of her is really good. just that one scene of her wanting to be whatever the nice king finds most convenient for him and straight up PUNCHING HERSELF to force her body to be smooth.. Its a lot. its a good chunk of her character summarised like yea that 30 second scene is literally her

the monster is super important because it’s the 2nd super lsp centric episode and it does a good job summarising what she goes through throughout the series. trouble in lumpy space is like a basic introduction of her life in the most neutral “nothing has happened yet” state and this episode shows what happens afterwards and how it makes her feel. she craves the feeling of being in control of her life but it’s either not getting that or upsetting her parents so that’s already like. she’s in a bit of an emotional corner. so she runs away and is met with nothing but what feels like just more punishment for just wanting to prove to herself that she can do things on her own. also this episode im PRESUMING is where she discovers her love and deep connection to animals!! which is absolutely one of my favourite aspects of her so fuckin awefomeee

the prince who wanted everything is really really good bc it’s an entire episode basically of her venting her feelings through her fionna and cake fanfic of her oc. it’s mostly reflective of her feelings towards finn, how he was the one who made her really realise her worth, but also stuff about how she prefers to do things that make her feel good and free in the moment, and how she views her parents, even if just internally. also people take the line about lumpy space prince only being able to date “someone who is so much like me she doesn’t even exist” as another like ohh classic self absorbed lsp Moment haha! but i really really like it bc it resonates with me lowkey . lol

princess day is another one that revolves around her guilt for acting the way she does and it being all she knows how to be. from the very start of the episode her mere presence is seen as an offense and an insult to everyone around eachother and so, having not much else to do in that position, she lashes out on breakfast princess. which AGAINNN again is very much a summary of her entire character. people hate her no matter what so she resorts to doing all she knows - being loud and assertive to make people respect her at the very least. this episode is also super special bc it shows us the exact moment her and marcy meet !!! in my mind she’s kinda the first to person to really listen to what lsp has to say, and her troubles and stuff, and she genuinely enjoys her company and lsp is absolutely flattered by how fondly marcy treats her and frankly never stopped being super cautious of it for a while until she Knew she really likes her

summer showers is kind of a blur to me but it is super good. i really like viola and her dynamic with lsp in this episode is cute. we get a whole scene where lsp just ends up venting to viola pretty much completely on accident while trying to tell her how to get the raindrops just perfectly right, because everything in the play has to be top tier since it’s very important to her. this episode gives another peek into how much of a little nerd lsp is which NO ONE talks about. she loves writing, she loves acting things out and being super dramatic and getting really into playing characters, she gets invested in silly things, she’s like best friends with turtle princess for crying out loud. she is cringe!!!!! and it’s adorable and wonderful of her!!!

i talked about trouble in lumpy space before so continuing. i do like that basically her first act in the show is screwing something up completely on accident without her being able to control it (her ability to float suddenly disappearing and that resulting in her biting finn). it’s really really good lol. i love this episode so dearly for 2 huge reasons ; it’s the most we see of early seasons lsp, and it establishes what her life was like before she started being more independent. the people she knew, where she went and how her people view her, her relationship with her parents and her friends and stuff. i feel like without all the stuff we learn about lumpy space in this episode there’d be WAY less to lsp. im just extremely grateful for it because the damn place pretty much never appears again in the entire series apart from the happy place thing in elements and lsp’s scene in the come along with me ending sequence

the creeps, again, not at all An Lsp Episode, BUT it does have a scene that reveals some stuff about her that’s important, which is her inability to really commit to relationships without being afraid. she objects to talking about why she broke up with brad at first but while finn is talking to bonnie she just completely falls apart to the pressure (which is absolutely nothing) and breaks out rambling about how much she regrets it and how she thought all you needed to do to be a good girlfriend was to look pretty. which lfhfhfbfdbdbfbfbfbbfbf. my Girl…………….my poor girl

i dont really have anything to say about from bad to worse lol. she’s cute in it! the way she snatches the instructions immediately and pouts at everyone while doing so and the way she shoves everyone aside talking about how she should go first… So good. also she looks so fucking good with wings can we talk ab that maybe some time

gotcha is like Maybe perhaps my favourite out of all of these. and it’s probably because while a lot of these make me sad with the stuff they all imply about lsp and her insecurities, this one makes me SO happy. how she is at the beginning, how confident she is waltzing toward the treehouse talking about how finn won’t be able to resist her because of how beautiful she is, the way she makes the treehouse cozy for herself without anyone’s permission, her friendship with turtle princess sprinkled throughout the episode, the part with finn tucking her in, THE WHOLE PART WITH HIM SAVING HER SND THEN TELLING HER SHE DOESNT NEED TO BE PRETTY PHYSICALLY FOR PEOPLE TO LOVE HER. AHHHHHH . Good Episode. GOOD. Episode.

sorry for the tone change but as for those last three episodes i really dont have much to say like at all. absolutely all she is in them is a device used for a joke. WHICH IM FINE WITH. ADVENTURE TIME IS A KIDS SHOW AND AN OFTEN LIGHTHEARTED ONE AT THAT I DONT CARE. sorry this description really makes it seem like i dislike how she is in these eps. idk if you could tell but i fucking love lsp always. she could do the most heinous things and id defend her and adore her for it always. she has never done a single thing i dislike NOT an exagggerarion. at all. /srs there ill even say that if it makes you believe just how much i love her. space girl help me

WEEE POI EP 3 IS MY FAV SO FAR... like it's only the third episode but i'm inclined to say POI's writing is sooo good actually. spoilers!!

like a nerd my first thought is how GOOD the flashbacks and the current timeline parallel each other. we don't actually know if jessica heard reese or not--maybe she did, and that's why reese feels even more guilty about her death. i quite like the introduction of like. the struggle of keeping your loved ones near you vs keeping them safe. something about it's better to live (take the risk, as jessica puts it) than survive (not take the risk and give up everything)

another thematic element was sprinkles of finch's lines. from "don't let you feelings get in the way" to "you did what you could." (more on the latter one later!) from finch being guarded to him saying the first line and yet...

I FORGOT but also joey telling reese he follows orders bc it makes life simpler. isn't that kind of what reese is doing, too? after all, finch says in the first episode that he's giving reese a purpose. thonking emoji...

carter and reese talking to each other over the radio was SO GOOD. every time carter gets screen time i get so excited. i wanna know more about her!!!

i quite like the introduction of the elias mystery. it gives us the first overarching plot, i think, aside from what's already laid out by the basic premise. not that you NEED overarching plots to have a good time, but if u know me u know it intrigues me!

ok back to smth i brought up in #2. i've been waiting because so far the last two episodes ended on successes, like the cut-and-dry ones. i was hoping it would still end well for joey and it did, but it was also not something that could've been easily fixed, perse. i'm looking forward to a future ep where things don't end the way reese and finch hope it would and how they would react to that. (if that will ever happen.)

How they’d be introduced

I feel like Thea’s introduction would be right at the start of the first ep, where Puck, Finn, and the rest of the football jocks throw Kurt into the dumpsters. She would look at Finn with a mixture of disappointment and disgust, which leaves him feeling like a jackass. However, the first time she speaks? A scene I made up, where after Schue forces Finn to join Glee Club, Finn immediately runs to the tutor center where Thea currently is and explains everything to her in a panicked rush. It ends with him begging her to join Glee Club with him, to which she responds that she is not a performer and she can’t stand Mr. Schue.

Who the fandom ships them with

Finn, of course *cough TAYLOR AND CORY cough*. I could also see the fandom shipping her with Sam, because I have them becoming really close down the line (but more of a sibling relationship). Plus, Taylor went on a date with Chord in real life as well.

Why the fandom loves them

How true she is to herself, and her honesty. Thea has a way of telling the truth w/o being mean about it like Santana, which I think people would appreciate. Plus, she always tries to be honest with herself as well; it doesn’t work all the time, but Thea tries and I think the fandom would root for her because of that.

It honestly could be a mix of the Finchel fans thinking she’s getting in the way of their ship or just because. People love to hate on Taylor in real life, so I could see that happening to Thea as well.

Well, Taylor was already close to three of the cast members in real life: Dianna was her bestie, AND she was part of the inspiration for 22. She not only dated Cory, but she also went on a date with Chord. She’s all over that cast, I swear.

Their audition scene

I think her audition scene would be Thea’s scene with Finn in the tutor center, while her audition song would be one of her own songs. I mean, COME ON! It would be so iconic of Taylor.

Definitely Cory, probably Amber and Jenna too. I honestly think Taylor and Cory would be so cute while also trying to be evasive regarding certain questions. With Amber and Jenna, SO MUCH GIGGLING!

Taylor doesn’t spoil things; she leaves Easter Eggs behind for her fans to find and figure out themselves. She would totally do that to the Glee fans too.

Uh… that’s up for debate… I’m still deciding whether or not to keep Finn alive. If he’s alive, then yes, I think so because Finn and Thea are endgame dammit. If not, then I’ll probably have to go into hiding

“it was weird at first to be living together like this. but i got used to it rather quickly because my roommate, yeeun, feels like a big sister to me at this point.” yura said as she remembered how yeeun helped her unpack even though her own suitcase was still untouched.

“yeah, i feel comfortable with her.”

“the first night has passed,” yeeun read the inside of the envelope. it was placed right at their front door, first thing in the morning.

“it’s time for you to introduce each other and one by one enter the dating room, to pick who to have your first date with,” she continued, slowly getting more and more surprised until she read the plot twist.

“you may only pick, based off of your first impression and those who get picked multiple times, becomes the tiebreaker.” everyone reacted differently but after the announcement, yura immediately started observing each of them. with a small sigh, she dreaded having to go to the dating room to pick.

after a while of getting the living room setup with snacks and tv, everyone gathered to do the first real introduction and to break the ice, yura decided to go first.

“hi, i’m kang yura. i am 20 years old and sometimes i dance, sometimes i model.” she said calmly, gaining the attention of everyone. soon, the girl next to her continued with her introductions too.

“the name’s jina, 23 years old and i am currently in school.”

“hello! i’m kim yeeun and i’m 21 years old. i mostly do freelance art.”

yeeun finished off the girl’s introduction and it was finally time for the boy’s introduction. yura was both excited and nervous, but truthfully speaking, someone already caught her eye.

“howdy, i’m park jay. 20 years of age this year and i’m planning on going to business school.”

“hiya, lee heeseung, 21 years old and i like music.”

“park sunghoon in the house, about to turn 20. i can do anything, to be honest.”

just like that, the introduction was over and it was finally time for them to go to the dating room. most of them stayed there for a while before making up their minds and one by one went there. yura being the last one to go.

“here we go. i pick lee heeseung.”
