It’s Day It’s Day 123 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was steady out of the southwest at 10mph with gusts at 18mph at 10am. The temperature was 58° and it felt like 52°. I used the Light Periwinkle color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the wind was out of the southwest. I worked my knitting in stockinette stitch since the wind was blowing at 10mph. It was an overcast day in Wessagusset, which appeared to be threatening rain this afternoon. This evening when I was on the porch the rain arrived. The Bruins lost again moving the series from a 3-1 lead to a 3-3 tie. I hate this. Be safe out there.

The first Lianas Shawl kit coming Friday is the one I used for my shawl! This is the first time the Anastasia colorway is coming to the shop, from last December’s Singalong club! 💕 this colorway was what really inspired me to want to make SOMETHING and this shawl was such a perfect fit. Happy New Year everyone! 🥂 As it happened, I managed to finish a secret project just as the last year ended. So, I was able to start the new year with a new cast on which was awesome! 🥳 Do you remember my Turning Skies Sweater that I made last autumn? 🧶 #turningSkiesSweater Back then I really wanted a mindless and instandly rewarding project with loads of my beloved Stockinette stitch. Good morning I hope everything’s okay 🙂! Went out this morning and it was raining ☔️ definitely a #sweaterweather so I thought I’d post a couple of pics of my ongoing sweater from my #nopatternknitz 😉 I’m using #dropseskimo from @dropsdesign 👌🏽 🍁 Knitted in 9mm needles for the ribbed base,neck and wrists (coming soon) and 10mm for the body and sleeves in#stockinettestitch. This a test, I’m trying to learn how to create a pattern, measurements, calculations and I even take notes 📝 🙂. I already know a few things I would do differently (and I will) but I feel I should finish it all first. One thing I would not change is the color contrast I really like it 🥰 and I’m glad I followed through with the neck and wrists in pink, it’s fitting with #pinkoctober 🌸! It’s Day 92 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the southeast at 5mph with gusts at 8mph at 7am. The temperature was 42° and it felt like 36°. I used the Light Blue color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the wind was out of the southeast. I worked my stitches in garter stitch since the wind was blowing at 5mph. It was a mostly overcast day in Wessagusset with occasional moments of sunshine. We traveled to Boston today. We’re preparing for some severe rain storms coming through beginning tomorrow night through Saturday. The wind on the coast is supposed to be in excess of 50mph with torrential rain, potentially totaling more than three inches. We also have a floodwater warning. We don’t need that on our already overly saturated ground. Meteorologists are also reminding us of falling trees due to all of the rainwater that’s going to fall. It is going to be a mess. Be safe out there.

Yesterday I shared some swatches that I made over the past few days in my stories. I had a really hard time to decide what my next project would be even though I was aching to cast on something new. So that kept me thinking... Why was is sooo hard to decide that I could not make up my mind for days? 🤔 I thought about that a lot and came to the conclusion that I might have put too much pressure on myself lately. I really want to create beautiful new designs for you. Designing is what I love! But sometimes I feel I cannot live up to my expectations. This might have something to do with my #boughsOfHollySweater 🧶 I have been trying to grade it for so long now, but I am still not done with it. Grading the sleeves for the larger sizes is just a nightmare, because there are so little rounds where I can place the decreases. Long story short, yesterday I decided that I needed a mindless project right now. Something that I would love to knit, that would be easy and work up fast. Something with as little obstacles as possible. Something with no pressure attached. So, I finally casted on something new! Yay! 🥳 And I am so glad I did! This is going to be a cropped drop shoulder sweater and I am in love already. This is my first time working with Plötulopi and this yarn really is one of a kind! Can you believe that I got all that sweater out of ONE single plate of Plötulopi?! 😲 Amazing, right? And it knits up SO fast. I managed to knit all this in just 5 hours! Also the fabric is so squishy, the color is just stunning and then there is this awesome sheepy smell! 😍 I am so glad that I have casted this one on! I really needed to feel the knitting joy that I am feeling right now. Sometimes it is the simplest Stockinette project that I will enjoy the most.
