Literally the only "good" thing about Stolitz is Loona getting the possible chance to be a big sister. But even then, we'd just be exposing poor Octavia to another toxic marriage (and one that already ruined her first family mind you), and then Loona having to now put up the whole step parent drama. Them being honorary sisters separate from this mess would work much better.

Does anyone remember back when helluva boss was about the main characters and their job as assassins? And not about divorce drama and the backstory of this character that fucked that character and was friends with oingo sploingo but is now abused by ratatamango?

I honestly don’t understand why people are saying Stolas’ personality completely flipped “out of nowhere”- I don’t believe that’s the case at all. I’m probably going to write an analysis on it soon but I want to rewatch every episode of the series first to make sure that I remember everything correctly.

32 for the kiss prompts (because if it doesn't invite stolitz I don't know what does lol).
And its 2:30am here so I'm going to bed, but the prompt you sent me will be out tomorrow :)
-Salem <3
32- a a kiss while someone watches...
…naturally. have i become unnoficial stolitz x reader nation?
warnings: established stolitz relationship, stolitz sex, implication of stolitz x reader sex, daddy kink, talks of having a threesome, im so tired rn if this is badly written im so sorry girly ily
you know… you, me and… someone else
Blitzø should probably have tried to find a more convenient way and some more convenient moment to talk about this.
It's not that it's impulsive. He's been rehearsing how to approach the subject for weeks now, but is there really a right way or a right time to ask your super lovey-dovey boyfriend if he'd be up for a threesome with your best friend without it sounding, like... really fucking wrong?
Maybe he should have planned a romantic night with rose petals on the bed and a bottle of wine and a bubble bath after fucking his brains out so good he saw stars and then eased the question in, but, man, he was getting fed up of thinking about it and not managing to say anything, so lying on the couch with Stolas draped on top of him with his weirdo telenovela in the background it would be.
"Hey. Stols?"
Stolas doesn't look away from the screen. "Yes, darling?"
"Can I ask you something without you getting mad at me?"
That seems to catch his attention. He looks up. "That makes me feel a lot like you're definitely going to say something that you already know will make me mad."
"No, it's just- just promise it already!"
"I'm getting worried."
"Stolas!"
"Alright! I promise. What it is?"
Oh shit he didn't think he'd actually be getting this far. "Have you ever... uh, you ever thought about a threesome?"
Stolas chokes on his own spit, eyes almost popping out of their sockets, and he pushes himself up off Blitzø now, sitting down next to him and facing him. "A what?"
"A threesome. You know... you, me and... someone else."
"Someone else? Like who?"
"Answer the question first!"
"I- uh. I can't say I have seriously considered that before. Have you been thinking about that?"
"A little. Are you mad now?"
"Not mad. Just... surprised, is all."
"Are you actually cool with that?"
"I did make a promise."
"It's not ‘cause I don't think you're enough or anything."
"Okay."
Blitzø feels like this is a trap. Why was he being so chill about this? He feels the need to keep explaining himself. "I just... ya know, I thought it could be fun. I mean shit we've tired almost everything there is to try, right? But we've never had a threesome."
"Do you think we would enjoy that?"
"You never had a threesome?"
Stolas only glares at him. Obviously he hasn't, dumbass.
"Oh. Right. Well, I mean, it can be good, can be bad, can be whatever. Kinda the same shit as it is with just two people."
"And who would you want to bring into bed with us?"
"Don't say it like that."
"Like what?"
"Like I'm trying to cheat on you."
"That is not what I'm doing."
It still feels like a trap, but what else was he to say than the truth? "Well. If you wanna know so bad. I could be down if y/n was down."
"Y/n... your best friend, y/n."
"You know, we can trust them, things would be comfortable. They’re not... bad to look at, either…”
Stolas stares down at him with an eyebrow raised, unamused. "If you're going to talk about this don't be a coward about it."
"Okay, I think they’re pretty hot and I've been thinking about fucking both of you for a while. But only if it's with you and only if you'd like it too. Or whatever.”
"How romantic."
"Don't be a dick, Stolas. I'm serious."
"No, that actually is very romantic coming from you."
"So. What'cha think about it? We don't have to do it. It's just a thought. Don't even know if they’d want to either."
"They would." Stolas states, as if that were obvious.
"What do you mean?"
"Have you really never noticed the way they look at the both of us?"
"What?"
"You know, at first I thought they just wanted to fuck you which, I will admit, it did make me a tad bit mad that they wanted my boyfriend like that. But then I noticed they were looking at both of us that same way. Especially when we're together."
"Wait, wait, wait, they’ve been giving me bedroom eyes this whole time? They’ve been giving you bedroom eyes this whole time?"
"If I'm not mistaken. I actually find it rather... endearing."
"And you never bothered to fucking say anything about it?"
Stolas simply shrugs. "Never came to mind. You can get pretty possessive, darling.” He cups Blitzø’s jaw with one of his hands, squeezing his cheeks together until he’s forcing Blitzø to pout. "I wouldn’t want to upset you."
Blitzø pushes his hand away. "So you find it endearing? What does that fucking mean? You into it?"
Stolas stops to think for a moment. "Yes, I suppose so."
"Oh shit. You saying we could do it?"
"Perhaps. Let me consider ir for a few days, will you?"
"Yeah. Yeah sure. Cool. Cool, cool, cool."
[. . .]
“Oh, yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes.” Stolas repeats the word like a mantra, and he’s not sure if they’re meant for himself or for his boyfriend, but he couldn’t give a single fuck about it if he tried, because Blitzø has him with his back pressed to his chest, his legs spread wide so Stolas can sit pretty in between them with his own spread open as well. Stolas has his head thrown back onto Blitzø’s shoulder and his hips bucking up involuntarily into the vibrator Blitzø presses against his entrance, chasing a release pointlessly, as Blitzø’s still taking his sweet time before even considering pushing it inside of him.
He kisses Stolas’ neck as he moves the toy, playing with the pressure he holds it against his boyfriend’s body with before getting a twisted idea.
Stolas is still whispering something under his breath, and then Blitzø just stops. He halts all his movement, he retracts the hand that held the toy and he leans back on the bed frame, watching Stolas scramble to look at him in a mix of frustration and confusion. “What? Why’d you stop?”
“You’re gonna finish yourself off for me.”
“What? You can’t be serious.”
“Oh I’m dead serious, hun.”
“I- I-“ Stolas is actually going to let Blitzø know how frustrated that made him when Blitzø slaps him across the face.
“Now.”
Oh shit. Fucking right away, sir.
Stolas goes back into the same position he was just in, back flushed to Blitzø’s chest and head on top of Blitzø’s shoulder, and impatiently moves his hands straight to his hole, wasting no time in inserting a finger in, already plenty wet from the fun that was cut short. He lets out a lewd, needy moan right to Blitzø’s ear as he pushes that finger in entirely, and Blitzø eats that right up.
“Needy fucking whore, can’t even tease yourself a little can ya? I’ll tell you what, you make yourself cum once and daddy makes you cum twice later, yeah? How about that?”
And then Stolas says the absolute most wildest thing he could say at that moment, all heavy breaths and whines and moans and hoots.
“Why don’t we call y/n up? I bet they could get me off for you.”
“What? You can’t just say that, Stols.”
“Ha. Made you blush.”
“What- what?”
“I don’t want to get myself off. It’s no fun. I want your big hands and your big fingers and your big dick and-“
“Yeah, yeah, I get it, I get it. You’re not getting away with that one, Stolas.”
“I don’t plan to.”
“Oh you are so getting it.”
“That is the plan, yes.”
[. . .]
Blitzø is on his knees with his arms around the back of Stolas’ thighs and he laps up at Stolas’ gushing hole, the leg his boyfriend had hiked over his shoulder to grant him better access shakes and the grip he has on the base of his horns tightens. Stolas lets out the prettiest, most beautiful noises as he lets him ride out his high with his tongue deep inside him until he’s being literally kicked away for causing oversensitivity. He loves it.
He stumbles as his back hits the floor but quickly props himself up on his elbows to look up at Stolas, who looked so very hot when he decided he did want to take charge, may Blitzø add.
“So. Good, huh?”
He knows it was good. He could see it was good, feel it was good, hear it was good, even taste it was good.
“Very good, y/n- sorry, Blitz.”
“Oh fuck you.”
Stolas smiles in contempt at his own ‘slip-up’ but says nothing.
[. . . ]
Blitzø may not be the greatest at getting hints but he’s sure gotten this one. He’s already chill with the threesome thing not happening and he’s already thinking of what the hell he can do to make Stolas stop being passive-aggressive about it.
He gets it, alright? It wasn’t a good thing to suggest they do, and he did not want to be caught by surprise by any more sarcastic remarks about that while they’re fucking just so Stolas can prove that point.
He’s trying to come up with a way to approach Stolas about that this time when he gets home to moaning, which just gets him excited, expecting to find Stolas with his hand between his thighs, humping his vibrator at a perfectly convenient time to be 'accidentally' caught, only to be met, instead, with his boyfriend, in just his robes, making out with his half-dressed best friend on his fucking bed.
They're so enthralled they don't even bother pulling away from each other, even though Blitzø knows they've noticed his presence in the room, still entangled in passionate, hungry, aggressive kisses that brought out noises so dirty they belonged in a porno.
And all of that just from kissing? Oh this had to be a show.
Maybe he got the wrong idea from Stolas’ reaction, then.
He's sure of that when they do pull away, and Stolas puts on a very low-effort façade of surprise before exclaiming "Darling! I didn't know you would be home yet!"
"Yeah, that why you were 'bout to fuck my best friend?" He eyes you up and down, and you look down at the floor, nervous about his reaction to the ‘surprise’ Stolas had staged and so, so hotly asked if you would be up to.
"Well I couldn't help but think about that conversation we had last week. And wouldn't you know it, y/n has had similar thoughts too!"
Blitzø eyes you. "That true?"
You nod. "Sorry if it’s weird."
"What is weird is coming home to you making out with my boyfriend."
"Oh, shit, I didn't- Stolas said- I’m sorry.”
"Yeah. Sooo weird. And so fucking hot. "
Oh, this was gonna be a fun night if he's ever had one.

Two Canon Ships Badly Handled
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know they were popular in the fandom, especially the latter with how much material it had but now canon shows it really has the same problems that Helluva Boss did with it's ships.
For Chaggie it's the fact that you feel no chemistry between them and Vaggie really like Millie is just so attached to her partner that she has personality outside of it. While you can look at it as functional, I really want more investment if they actually acted more couple like and Vaggie was more independent from Charlie. Seriously, we know more about characters like Carmilla than we do about the girlfriend of the main character of the series. That's just straight up bad writing.
For Huskerdust, I was actually rooting for this to happened and loved the stuff fans made of it. However, the execution is really showing to be bad due to the fact it feels rushed and "Loser, Baby" comes off as tone deaf in handling abuse. Husker seems to treat his problems the same as his when it's not. And it comes off as brushing off someone in a worse situation. And again while not as toxic as Stolitz, it still has mixed messages due to Angel harassing him and the fact that he quickly warms up to him in one episode with no build up.
Again just showing once and time before Vivziepop has no understanding of good relationships should be written or portrayed.

Helluva Boss is Really Bad at Creating Compelling Drama
I mean, I think we all already knew this, but the latest episode truely showed how Helluva fails at this, especially in it's second season. For one, the drama feels artificial.
I've talked about this before, but a major issue with both of Viv's shows is that she constantly uses daddy issues as a way to artificially create drama within the story. Helluva Boss is especially bad at this; daddy issues are constantly used as an easy way to create conflict within the show, and at that point it starts becoming repetive and tiresome. Like, really? ANOTHER character with daddy issues?
The drama never feels natural or remotely organic, it always feels completely forced and artifical.
Another way that the drama can feel forced is drama between specific characters in episodes. Take for example the conflict between Moxxie and Millie in Unhappy Campers. The entire conflict of the episode is driven by Moxxie being jelouse of Millie getting all the attention from the teenagers in the camp, all culminating in an argument between the two.
The reason why the drama feels forced is because Moxxie had to be made OOC in order for this to work; Moxxie has no reason to care about what the teenagers think of him since they are on a mission, yet he does care for SOME REASON. This is the basis for the conflict in the episode and it's completely broken on every level.
Not to mention in the argument is where the show pulls out a character flaw for Millie out of it's ass in a failed attempt at giving her "depth". It all feels forced and contrived, like they had to ruin characters in order for it to work.
But the biggest example of this is when it comes to the drama between Blitzo and Stolas, or otherwise known as the ship, Stolitz.
In this case the drama between the two characters takes over and warps the show to center around it, making the show abandon it's premise in favor of becoming a soap opera. Not only that, but the drama also fails because Stolitz as a reletionship is just badly written.
I've went on about this many times before but, Stolitz is a reletionship that has the victim and abuser roles completely backwards. The show demonizes Blitz and coddles Stolas and paints the ladder as an UwU soft boy, and most of the drama in the reletionship comes from this.
It makes the drama just badly writtten since the reletionship it's tied to has serious issues. Helluva Boss used to be ok at creating decent drama in season 1 but now in season 2 it seems that the writers have just given up on creating compelling drama, and just resort to lazy ways to artifically create conflict within the narrative.

Now, I know a bunch of people who are super into Helluva Boss- so I get the loredump and have to watch the episodes because group participation so on so forth, but like, knowing what I know about the series, apology tour felt so fucked to me. I don't have any particular fondness for the series, trust me, i find it unbearable as is, and frankly, if not for the fandom and also Stolitz, I would most likely enjoy it- but do keep in mind that this is being written from a mostly analytical view, most of my personal feelings come threw nearer to the end, of course this is an opinion piece, but please do understand that I am solely referencing series for my claims, and I would literally rather be playing Proseka right now if it weren't for how deeply uncomfortable and distressing I find the public opinion on Stolitz, especially Stolas to be.[Please keep in mind that this was written through the lens of Stolas' poor Behaviour, While I do think Blitz is just as bad, this isn't about his actions, but why I find the series handling of him and Stolas, strange and awkward]
Especially after the absolute disaster of the full moon incident. Stolas is right to be mad at Blitz, sure-but after having even some time to reflect, he's acting in a way that feel off- I get that blitz was being really disrespectful and pushy, but can he really not see that he's also at fault for that? He made it sexual, encouraged it, set up this deal that put Blitz's Career at a moments notice and... then he acts almost without any guilt for making Blitz feel worthless and like a convenient object... I get he was passed after Blitz was pushy, and what Blitz said hurt, but something about the immediate attitude kills me- especially when Blitz wants to 'earn' his way to earth, it's a sign he feels like a discarded husk because Stolas neglected to do things in a way Blitz would understand- he knows Blitz takes things badly, he knows Blitz isn't very emotional available, even then, he's experienced that, he's seen it in Ozzie's, where his actions, however small, clearly had a huge effect on Blitz, and for him to not notice that makes it worse- Stolas is notably ignorant throughout the show, even Towards Octavia at times, but when he does it to Blitz and complains that it's 'about sex' its stupid, because he came on to Blitz, and Neglected to firmly tell him or stop him at any point- in the Circus, he knew that Blitz was stealing from him. He knew that. That's undeniable. He didn't care- he never reinforced that the sexual nature of their relationship was bad.
Stolas then calls up Blitz in Murder Family and sets up -the deal- this is an issue, Blitz is incredibly Vulnerable, in multiple ways at that moment. He is in very real danger with someone who is trying to kill him, while he is also now having to negotiate his job and make sure he can feed him, pay his staff and take care of his daughter- I don't fault Blitz in the slightest for just... agreeing. He has all the reason too, what does he have for stolas? Nothing, he has his pride, his service and his body, all things that Stolas can have from any imp in his castle.
I just, wish that Apology Tour was Handled differently, It's fine as is, but ultimately feels wrong, it feels like something else should have happened, the Episode after Stolas makes his largest mistake, because frankly, Blitz was justified in being angry, Stolas refused to give him a reason past sentimental emotional want which Blitz had be demonstrated to not be responsive too multiple times. It's infuriating, really. So to go into the Episode After stolas essentially causes the breakup by being obtuse, and also by refusing to change, because really, Stolas hadn't changed, this is Clear when he compared Blitz to Striker, really? He refuses to understand just how highly Blitz saw him, Blitz saw him as so far above himself, that he needn't not save him because- Stolas, to him, is virtually invincible, especially after truth seekers, it feels wrong to see Stolas say 'it's not an imp's place to protect a goetia.' Because it shows he hasn't changed, he said it sarcastically, but it actually showed what they both mean, Blitz says it because Stolas is Powerful, But Stolas does expect that, even as sarcasm, it carries this undertone that Stolas just, expects others to so as he pleases, and this still extends to Blitz.
So while I love the Episode, I feel that it's timing was poor, something else should have occurred, because After Stolas' Behaviour in the prior episode, to go into an episode about Blitz feels so wrong, or they should have highlighted some more of Stolas' flaws, yeah, they go over the usual, 'stolas is a hopeless romantic' shpeal, but I really feel that as a self contained episode, it's fantastic, but contextually lacking, and the scene were Stolas is drunken and talking to Blitz is charming, but, I really feel that it was almost done in the wrong order, I loved Blitz and Verosika, I have 0 issues with that as things are.
But Stolas, I know Viv knows that Stolas is too in his head, and that's fine, but I really feel like what bothers me the most, is actually the comments I read about People Justifying Stolas' actions- Because, really, he hasn't changed, he is frivolous with the people at the party, as always, but at the same time- he doesn't get it. Blitz is an Imp, Stolas is a Prince, they have entirely different situations. Blitz needed the book, Stolas needed this, and in his moment of weakness, got Blitz to agree to this deal he most likely thought was a trap.
He doesn't understand that the reason people like Striker hate the Royals isn't just because or all willy nilly, he wasn't listening, even the way he responds shows this, he was most likely to say 'I have no idea what you're saying' or something like that, immediately putting his self constructed world-view first- Stolas almost does this thing with he life where he thinks it sucks so much that nobody's life is worse- Him whining to Blitz (while he was drunk so ill take it with salt.) About wanting to be held shows this- he doesn't once consider that Blitz has experienced that very pain, that he has these issues with understanding how good he's got it- and it shows, Stolas, however poor his life is, is incredibly privileged, regardless of the horrible circumstances this incurred him; Him insisting that Blitz and him are totally equal in a way that implies that everyone would see it the same regardless of Stella, or Striker, or Blitz telling him that the class difference is noticeable and unavoidable. It doesn't matter because stolas doesn't wanna hear it.
Hell, what about his Butler imp, whom he physically harms and makes more than enough work for, the fridge scene should be noticed.
It deeply upsets me to see Blitz villainised by the audience, it does, because I can see so many relatable traits about his self worth in myself and others- and when people use anything to Defend Stolas while disregarding Blitz- because really, in Full Moon, and too an Extent some other episodes, Ozzie's and Western Energy, I see him being treated like an actual monster; Western Energy is super important for Blitz's development, it displays his inner workings with his views of stolas, this powerful demon prince who is basically immortal.
Ozzie's grates me because I've seen some opinions here and there where people blame Blitz for not wanting to be with Stolas romantically, disregarding that Blitz in his eyes basically just had Stolas himself display how humiliating it is to be with Blitz and how Blitz can never be loved.
So for Stolas to get mad at Blitz for being hurt and saying he thinks relationships are stupid bothers me because Stolas has now repeatedly hurt Blitz this way, The Arrangement, Ozzie's and now Full Moon- so while I believe that both Parties need to get over their individual issues and traumas Stolas' are infinitely more dangerous to the relationship because while Blitz miscommunicates and acts poorly, Stolas is basically in a state of complete disconnect from him and Blitz and also everything else, Stolas just thinks 'I need to change' and thinks he has. 'Things will be different' but no understanding as to what he or that even means.
Blitz ultimately ends up being the moat aware member of this relationship, because he is more than acutely aware of what he can lose, his life, daughter, friends, everything; Stolas is afraid of losing Octavia, but also doesn't think about it, because really, in terms of hurting people, he's just as Bad, he just never had the social circle to hurt, he's as Clumsy as Blitz at this, as careless, as reckless, but Unlike Blitz, Stolas is in over his head, overattached, he'd destroy the relationship at its most tender by not comprehending, overcompensating and a complete lack of self-awareness in his personal wrongdoings.
Blitz is really more of a threat to an informal relationship, because he's allowed to be in denial, he left Verosika after she got vulnerable, as he said, he cuts things off early, but Stolas, for his own self-perceived understanding, didn't read the Subtext.
Which is really annoying. Because he was basically relying on Blitz's ability to read Subtext and got maddened and frustrated and unreasonable when he couldn't, he's just getting mad at Blitz for something he also does. And this isn't at all to say that Blitz isn't also an asshole. He is, but I'm talking in the context of people exonerating Stolas too easily.
I just hope that we get an Episode truly going into Stolas' flaws the same way, because really, They are both as bad as eachother for love... and it cements to me, that this series should have had Stolitz be a B-Plot, because I find the series to be incredibly grating, because of them, as I said, I only watch it so I can talk to my friends about something they like- but, this was an issue within both Audience perception and pacing that really bothered me

Please correct me if I’m wrong but from what I know Helluva Boss is written by only three people right? That being Viv, Brandon, and Adam. And while I’m sure ideas are bounced around here and there with the team, the way this season is going is begging for an actual writers room with more experienced people. Not saying those three don’t have any experience, but it’s clear they don’t know how to mesh the comedy and serious moments together well at this point. Part of writing is knowing when you need to omit stuff because it doesn’t fit the tone or story progession that you have established, even if you very badly want to include it. The writing for Helluva Boss in contrast feels they are forgoing any sense of coherence so they can stuff in whatever they like even if it goes against previously established plot points and try desperately to get to you pity these awful characters instead of letting them learn from their mistakes and grow as people naturally. Again, if this had stayed a dark comedy, that would have been passable, but now they are trying to tell a serialized dramatic story with arcs and emotion, and it’s just failing because that is not these writers expertise. This is complete speculation, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Viv’s aversion to any form of criticism is affecting it.
How many times must we see something terrible happen to Stolas because the show wants you to keep crying and pitying over without having these characters actually navigating it themselves? How many times will Blitz acknowledge he’s an awful person but not actively try to change his behavior in anyway and revert to the exact same character the next episode? How many times will Moxxie have to learn confidence because it’s the only arc they can think to do with him while Millie is a walking prop and Loona flip flops between liking her dad and physically abusing him for no reason? To the people who keep saying “just wait the shows not over yet!” we are basically halfway through season 2, there is no damn reason why Millie shouldn’t have had ANYTHING on her own yet or why Blitz and Stolas should be repeating the same “uwu he doesn’t love me” scene over and over again. If you give us what should be moments of character development but never actual show it through their actions or behaviors after the fact, it’s not character development at all, it’s cheap scenes you threw in cause you wanted the guise of something serious without actually taking the screentime to commit to it. And yes, the Stolas Blitzo stuff is probably going to pay off eventually, but it’s annoying for the audience to watch this will they won’t they game in almost every single episode just waiting for when the characters will finally change or have at least SOME type of acknowledgement of all they’ve been through instead of just keeping the status quo of another “Stolas looks sadly at his phone,” “Blitzo doesn’t really care about him until there’s one millisecond showing maybe he does 🥺.” Unless your a hardcore shipper, people won’t stick around with that forever.
The show wants to have world-building, quirky characters who are bad people, tons of villains, funny sex jokes, emotional investment, and a complicated romance, but there’s a reason lots of media fails when it tries to be everything at once. The Stolitz plot behind every episode now is sabotaging parts of the show that promised wacky demon assassin adventures, and the less serious moments like the Loona doctor B plot in turn ruins the atmosphere of the dramatic scenes associated with the Stolitz plot. They wanted to show a serious abusive arranged relationship through Stella, but they also wanted her to have be a campy bad guy so Stolas could have a reason to cheat on her so he wouldn’t look like the bad guy. This leaves us with confusing contradictions like Stella written as being legit mad about him cheating and wanting him dead while hinting at them having at least a positive public image as a family once through the background paintings, to suddenly her not having ever cared about him and seeking him out “cause she likes tormenting him” while she also now didn’t want him killed I guess because she’s opposed to the divorce because the Goetia want them together??, but then wanting him killed AGAIN after even though the Goetia probably always wanted that guy alive and her brother has to come in for no reason to make her look like an absolute dumbass.
Same with Loona. They try to give her development with Blitz, but they never do anything with it and by the next episode she’ll be beating the shit out of him again. “She’s a moody teenager!” She’s a woman in her twenties and I don’t care about her sometimes finding appreciation for her dad when she’ll just kick him in the nuts right after because physical abuse against a spouse is serious but with a daughter it’s funny I guess. And again, the entire argument fans have to justify this constant loop of creating and forgetting about character development is “just wait they probably have a plan.” Nah bro I’m pretty sure they just still wanted to throw edgy dark comedy in there and to do that they had to ignore any positive character changes it seemed like happened until a future episode specifically is written to continue that arc. Also the world building and class system in general is just bad when they actually choose to acknowledge it, which is rarely. It’s still so unclear whether hellhounds are seen as actually sentient autonomous people or pets, and it just makes scenes with Loona super weird sometimes. Same with imps, for an apparent underclass they sure seem to be able to go wherever they want and do whatever they want without too much trouble, and until the latest episode we’ve never seen any imp discrimination be a major factor besides comments from Stolas (which we are now choosing to ignore because Stolas can’t be a bigot that has to learn to be a better person, Stolas is perfect 🙃)
Yikes this got longer than I meant it to but overall Helluva Boss just could really benefit from some more inputs in the writing, not just ideas for story or jokes but someone who actually knows how to properly balance and structure this kind of stuff into an episode. As is it feels very disjointed, especially this season. I don’t think this show would ever be perfectly for me, just because I don’t find the humor at all funny and that’s kind of what makes the show, but at the very least it’d be nice if the actual plots and world these characters navigate was fun to watch, but most of the time it’s just not anymore, because you don’t get to actually see most characters interact or what their relationships are, and if you do they hardly ever change from what they were until suddenly it’s relevant for the plot. Blitz is uncomfortable around Stolas and is tired about being treated like a play thing, wait no now he’s turned on by Stolas’s flirting even though we’ve never seen that before and this is right after they literally had a huge fight, wait nevermind now Blitz doesn’t care again. Moxxie is always weak and sensitive when an episode is about him but suddenly super strong and has no problems killing in any other episode (“We’re not going up there just to massacre we need clients! -S1E3, exactly what he and Millie do to an entire audience of innocent bystanders in the Cherub episode and they don’t care). Stolas is super perverted and sees Blitz as an object, wait nevermind we’re just gonna change his entire fucking backstory so his behavior will look justified even though that man would literally have to be a the dumbest person in Hell to not see Blitz did not care and was actively repulsed by him all throughout season 1, yet continued to act that way to his supposed “first friend” because..he thought it was a sexy game or something they were playing? Even as a retcon for an excuse it’s still bad. Helluva Boss has no rules it sticks to, no jokes or character behaviors it refrains from even if it harms the quality, it’s just a badly written fanfic with pretty animation.

The way Blitzo is hinted at potentially wanting a mutual romantic relationship is really interesting to me, because I can only think of TWO instances in the show where he actually seems to be interested in Stolas.
One is “Blitzø’s Bad Trip” -which is the first time we see him potentially having feelings for Stolas, but it’s also during a sequence that shows his fear of relationships—I can’t say I interpret that scene as Blitzø realizing he “loves” Stolas or whatever—just that he has a LOT of anxiety around ALL his relationships, and that he has complicated feelings about Stolas. I always took that scene to be more about how Blitzø wants relationships (romantic, platonic, business, etc.) but fears becoming too attached to others or to losing himself in the relationship (that’s how I interpret the golden feathers anyway. The way Stolas and everyone else in the trip turn into golden feathers that at first seem cleansing but then SMOTHER Blitzø makes me think the represent the fear of losing one’s sense of self to a relationship—Blitzø has a very strong sense of self in my opinion, and I think he pushes others away so that he and they don’t get hurt)
The other is at the end of Ozzie’s where we see a selfie Blitzø took of him and Stolas in bed. Which is a little weird because we just spent the ENTIRE episode prior to that shot watching Blitzø ACTIVELY seem annoyed by Stolas and pretty much just using him as a last resort to get into Ozzie’s (which yeah, is a shitty thing to do but like…no where near as shitty as coercing someone for sex? So like. Sorry Stolitz fans I don’t really care if Blitzø used Stolas ONE TIME for something and hurt Stolas’s feelings)
That’s. That’s really all I can think of. Going back and watching the early episodes of HB season 1 is buckWILD b/c there are SO MANY SCENES of Blitzø showing just outright contempt for Stolas, and being constantly annoyed by him. Episode 6 hints at more, and Ozzie’s really should have been the turning point and a wake up call for Stolas, but for some reason the show frames Blitzø in the wrong. DESPITE Stolas only ever showing sexual interest in Blitzø.
Even the end of Truth Seekers hints that Stolas wasn’t only concerned about Blitzø, BUT ALSO WORRIED ABOUT HIMSELF. He says that if IMP gets found out, HE gets found out and will be in trouble—even in the scenes that are “supposed” to be showing Stolas cares about Blitzø he STILL MAKES THINGS ABOUT HIMSELF!!! He is “sweet” to Blitzø one moment and then becomes almost threatening toward him? I just????
This show was so badly planned. If it was planned at all. I just. Wow. I can’t believe how badly and just completely inconsistenly these characters are written. What the hell.
It's incomprehensible to the point of being surreal.

Stolitz Rant
Now before I shit on the ship and Stolas' whole character, I have to give Spindle Horse some praise. Seeing Blitzo go off on Stolas was like eating your gran's food, comforting, something that you waited for, and fulfilling. Blitzo pleading like a desperate animal for the book was actually very potent, I won't get too much into my life but I have done things similar for people in my past to stay even though it was a dysfunction mess.
Alright that's my little hat's off to you Viv. Now let's get to my problem with this ship.
Unhealthy in a Bad Way
It's unhealthy. Now that inherently isn't the bad thing, now before you judge me too hard, I'll explain. If a pairing is presented as toxic that's not my issue but rather how it is handled. Stolitz isn't really presented by the show's narrative to be a horrible mess that should of died as soon as the two grew apart in their adult life. Instead it is presented like a us verses them. Romeo and Juliet type of romance. Now it doesn't really work that way because of everything that one side has done.
Stolas Sucks
I hate this fucking rich bird man, he was such good villian potential, until someone named Vivziepop got to attached to him, and tried to change the story for him to be a hopeless romantic who has a tragic home life, a damsel in distress who needs his knight in shiny armor to save him, instead of what he is a creepy rich man taking advantage of someone, and is definitely just seeing Blitzo as a toy in every since of the word.
If Stolas wants Blitzo to fuck him then it's fine because HE wants it. If HE decided that his daughter needs to be around someone who has ruined her family then she will because Stolas wants it, not even bothering to ask the man in question if he's comfortable with that arrangement. Blitzo doesn't like how he treats him, doesn't matter because Stolas likes it. HE doesn't want Blitzo to have the book anymore and Blitzo will just blindly accept it because that's what Stolas wants. This man with a child acts like a whiny little baby because the man who he has harassed, stalked, coerced into having sex with him, and treats like some kind of exotic pet, doesn't trust him when he gives him the stupid crystals because it goes against want HE wants to happen.
All of that was to point out how self serving this dumbass is.If Stolas wants it to go that way it just will because he deserves it after having an abusive wife. Now abuse is a serious subject, but it's clear as day that Stella was made to be abusive to make Stolas seem understandable. Also doesn't help that the story neglects to inform you that Stolas and Stella had Octavia at 19 and were both victims of the higher class by being forced into this marriage at like 16.
My Big Problem
Now I'll get into the whole contract to sex thing and how morally backrupt he is. This rich man knew how vital that book was for his obsession's business, to the point that he was literally stealing it from him on his birthday. Now like a reasonable man he kicked him out and never made any terrible decision ever, sadly no he fucked him and really liked it. So sometime later the bird man was in his bathtub and called his side piece, while Blitzo is in obvious distress he gives him an offer and won't shut up till he verbally agrees, which the imp did. Now what part of this is romantic? Or even sexy in a taboo way. Like what in the Wattpad is this arrangement. This feels like a ripoff of a book that just shows a toxic relationship like it's suppose to be good, Fifty Shades of Gray. A similar dynamic to our two men here weirdly enough. Which originally was a fanfiction. Now my dear reader like I said a toxic relationship in media isn't inherently bad, but if it is written badly then we have a problem. Why? you may ask me. Simple early teens watch this show, edgy kids watch this show. I personally think kids are fucking radical little guys, but they are also easily influenced. A show that paints this unhealthy relationship as good and worth all the fighting, that it is worth all the heartbreak and trauma because one day it might get better, key word might. For some viewers maybe it was their first gay relationship they were exposed to. This could shift the way they look at LGBT+ relationships as more taboo or sexy instead of it being just another relationship.
Now I'll wrap this rant up, next will be M&M relationship a d how I think it has some accidental toxic underlining, hopefully I can also get my solutions to this and M&M out today aswell.
As always you look fabulous, I'll eat your least favourite organ if you don't say something nice to yourself today. If your having a not getting out of bed day, it's alright the world is scary and you can try again tomorrow.

Is it really that much of a surprise that most of the shitty takes I see about the Hellaverse or it's fandom come from Tiktok or Twitter?
No, not really.
Some bitches on the former literally said that Stolas and Blitzø both deserve to be single and miserable forever and die a horrible death because..... reasons.
Some accounts on both apps are dedicated entirely to hating the Hellaverse and the fandom. Including not respecting other opinions on ships, (God forbid you even say you like RadioApple) calling HuskerDust badly written because Husk and Angel had the audacity to start out as a flawed relationship learning to bond with each other due to similar trauma, accusing Loser Baby of victim blaming when it's literally just saying that you can relate to other people with similar bad experiences, calling Stolitz sexually and physically abusive when it's just miscommunication and mixed signals, (Noticing a pattern with unhealthy or rocky relationships being portrayed as the worst thing ever?) literally harassing people for daring to like Valentino as a character (NOT as a person, there's a difference) trying to force the fans to hate the shows, calling the fans all manner of bad names for daring to like and enjoy Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss, accusing Vivzie of being a bad problematic person who's done every crime in the book with no proof, and so on. Most of it is on Tiktok (again, not surprised) but a lot of it happens on Twitter as well. There are even so called "fans" of the shows who believe all this garbage.
I can't even count the amount of times I had to block these dipshits. I used to try to politely correct them whenever I encountered them but now I just resort to blocking without saying a word, because nothing will EVER convince them they're in the wrong. I gave up trying to reason with these assholes and regretted doing it in the first place. You simply can't change the mind of a crazy person with no respect for other people's opinions.

Hazbin hotel and Helluva boss are so amazingly written! I don't understand who people can say it's 'fast paced/rushed' or 'badly written.' Viziepop does an amazing job focusing on each and every character and giving them a perfect development! Not to mention the characters designs are amazing and so pretty! 'Too much red', 'doesn't fit their character' or 'doesn't make sense.' Maybe just enjoy the show?? Stop focusing on something so little, the show talks about actual real life problems and you're too worried about a design? News flash, shy up!
Finally about characters themselves and ships. How can people say Stolitz is toxic! They obviously love each other!! It's suchh a better ship than Chaggie...like they barely have any couple time together in the show, you can barely call them a couple! And Vizie doesn't have favorites! Every character gets an equal amount of development and screentime - You guys need a reality check!

Updated/Edited on 9/20/2024 so it could be worded better, not just changing preferences:
I’m usually going to reblog posts of some of my favorite stuff on this account! I was just going to post this on my blog’s description section but this is going to be long-ish for mobile users.
Plenty of cursing and some slightly suggestive themes on a few posts ahead but there’s no outright NSFW/18+ since I’m technically a SFW reblogger.
Other Social Media Links:
https://archiveofourown.org/users/demi4ngel/profile
https://www.wattpad.com/user/demi4ngel
I am typically neutral to most things in fiction, so there’s not much point in throwing hissy fits over minor stuff and things that don’t affect sane people much unless the creators, canon and even the fandom are truly toxic and problematic. While there are technically bad apples in every fandom, some are way worse than the others so I block and filter out as much as I can for my own sanity. Yes, that includes blogs who still support badly written canon content.
I don’t care what your orientation/race is, if you are toxic then GTFO!
DNI
AI images/artists (At first I didn’t think much of it but it clutters many art sites with all these different tags if #ai art isn’t used! Not only does it have delusional fake artists and their audience who thinks it’s fine, it’s especially bad news for inactive or even deceased online users. Like, it’s unethical and most sharp eyed users see how flawed the “art” is. That makes mediocre human drawn art look good because they aren’t that blurry or has these machine made flaws. The AU Generated art is often uncredited which can confuse people. Oh god, I hate the realistic/real life ones the most because what if that’s used without that person’s consent? What if that’s used to make an innocent person look bad?)
Vivziepop Stans (I used to like her art but the plot of Helluva Boss portraying the main toxic romantic relationship as “good LGBT rep” is uncomfortable… the same ppl can criticize Val/Angel or MothDust but defend Stolitz? All bc it’s gay men screwing each other? I’m glad that critics point out the similarities because aren’t they both technically abusive relationships? Even without the out of context screenshots, those relationships are still unnerving. Toxic relationships are toxic regardless of their sexualities and how it’s written! I mean there’s a mountain of evidence of her many misdeeds and even abuse of her power! Also, she, her associates, and even fans had the audacity to diss other indie animation projects!)
Miraculous Ladybug (uncanny 3D graphics, especially the salters and the maribat shippers ruining practically everything they touch)
My Little Pony franchise (oh lord the damn fandom and fanarts won’t stop plaguing my feeds…)
Rabid proshippers [I hate the ones that take things too far like the big age gap (a decade to more apart &/or when one is old enough to be their parent/familial figure), prepubescent children and younger x adult (yes that includes real and fictional ancient/past times), and incest ones (blood related, adoptive or foster it’s still fucking unnerving… I mean aren’t they raised together as such even if their time together wasn’t that long?) Though I understand why people give them the side eye due to probably not tagging correctly and boundary disrespecting the ppl who use DNIs for good reasons bc the latter most likely have reasons why they hate or don’t like certain things.]
Rabid antishippers (I used to have a similar mentality many years ago but such a puritan approach wasn’t good for my sanity. I understand how y’all feel about certain fictional ships but blocks and filters exist here and several other sites that have these functions. So use them instead of causing unnecessary discourse over small things! Y’all don’t have to complain about every single thing that irks you. Besides, if y’all are that concerned about certain things, go help out real people who really need it and stick to your safe spaces! Spreading misinformation, doxxing and harassment are not acceptable!)
*Both sides of the shipping discourse have bad apples and rabid dogs crossing lines so I steer clear from them and their petty discourse whenever I’m surfing this site. Hence why I decided to stay mostly neutral in fictional matters from now on like a spectator. Funnily enough, it’s usually the antis starting shit and even being killjoys on actual harmless ships. I mean look at the screenshotted evidence here by the pros, neutrals and civilized smart ppl who stay out of drama. 🧩🥀 & 🌑🎈(former anti and currently a neutral shipper)
Nostalgia fandom (sheesh, these people need to try something new it’s like they are literally stuck in time, bitching about new things and going as far as to dislike or negative review bomb things not from their childhood time. Especially a portion of the western cartoon fandom. Yes, it’s usually those guys making a fuss about their favorite stuff being forever canonically discontinued. Well, there’s the fan works to create and consume! Wherever I am, I rarely hear the eastern anime fandom fussing about the “good old times”. But the downside to the nostalgia are lonely feelings when several others have moved on and a shitty attitude towards a lot of things not aligned with your own takes.)
Character Hatedoms/Bashing/Assassinations (Those who do hate characters for legitimate reasons are usually more civilized. But those who hate them for very minor or petty reasons get the side eye lol.)
Heterophobic/Homophobic (I legit don’t understand the intense hate from both sides, y’all just have different labels and sexualities/preferences that are seen as socially acceptable and legal. But there are vile ppl who use their gender and/or sexuality as a shield which is unacceptable!)
Reality Shifters/Otherkin (suddenly fictional drawn OCs and reader fics look like stellar content that’s much more preferable! It’s kinda weird that irl ppl insert themselves into fictional stories instead of creating OCs or just using canon characters…)
Age Regression/Age Play blogs (this type of content is kinda weird… it’s annoying and unnerving that teen/adult characters or even real people behave like little children to cope or smth. I don’t care if it’s also SFW, y’all still are getting the side eye for using baby/childish talk. And turning mature characters into that kind of behavior is just kinda stupid.)
Ppl who don’t properly tag/label (oh come on, no wonder I had to block certain blogs and tags here… some of y’all weren’t specific enough not just being irresponsible idiots. Had to block a shit ton of character assassination content not just ppl slipping past tags.)
Fetish artists/blogs (if you don’t properly tag/label, you do kinda deserve to get criticized heavily and blocked)
Fictional content that turns places and countries into anthropomorphic figures (weird ASF…)
RL crime/criminal apologists and hybristophiliacs (these guys make the fictional villain/antagonist character stans look like angels bc at least the latter will seemingly less likely simp for IRL criminals and know what’s fictional.)

Hello There, Showtoonz!! I just wanted to let you know someone has talked about your post about HB and let's just say some die hard fans aren't taking it well in the comments, and saying shit like, "Oh, well Viv is much better and talented than you!" Or "Don't watch the show then" ect ect, it's like you can't criticize ANYTHING without the fans going after you for it, and also calling you homophobic if you don't like the show. Apparently, you can't talk about criticism or say one negative thing on the series, when it comes to the HB/HH Fandom. 😒
https://twitter.com/Norelzahr1/status/1589926236591370240?t=SjRBUVbjNklc7S3zxzPPsg&s=19
Glad the OP agrees, but I honestly don’t care what the fans think lmao. I still stand by what I said, I heavily dislike how literally like….80% of the HB fandom and the creators act like being gay and/or female automatically means you’re a good writer who doesn’t need criticism, trust me, I’m not pulling that out of my ass, I’ve seen people act like this everywhere.
However, this did get me thinking, I will admit that I think I worded that one tag wrong, mainly the problem was I didn’t know HOW to word it. Fill free to disagree with me if y’all want, but when I said “The show shouldn’t even be labeled as a “queer show”, it’s a dark comedy with gay characters yes but that doesn’t mean it’s meant for gay people I don’t get it”- in one of the tags, what I was trying to get at was that I personally don’t understand why everyone keeps labeling the show as such when the original premise and tone of the show had nothing to do with what the show seems to be now, an emotional rollercoaster about relationships, wether gay or straight. In my opinion, I only think you should label your show as a “queer show” if your MAIN purpose and premise resides on telling a story following the such. Helluva Boss’s main premise wasn’t about that, it was about demon assassins going to earth to kill humans while Stolas (a SIDE main character-ish) acted like a horny perv who had possession of the book. The reason why I said this was mainly to once again jab at the people who act like having gay characters in your show means that it’s magically inhumane to criticism. Most importantly, when I said “it has gay characters yes but that doesn’t mean it’s for gay people”- I should have said that differently, because want I MEANT was that just because there are LGBTQ+ characters in your show, doesn’t mean it’s ONLY for them. This is a jab at the fans who keep saying “But it’s a queer show, it’s for queers”- whenever we try to critique Stolitz as a couple or the other relationships. The show never presented itself on the characters sexualities and how they’ll be telling about their loves lives and personal lives, again….it was SUPPOSED to be a dark comedy about asshole demons assassins, and ever since Stolitz took over the show because Viv is obsessed with it rather than taking time to develop and expand her other characters, everyone now is acting like Stolitz is what the show stems on and what this show was supposed to be about. They also act like LGBTQ+ characters can’t be written badly as long as the creators are gay themselves, (they also act like just because it’s told from a “queer perspective” that apparently means that the writing isn’t bad, but that we just won’t get it because we’re not queer) and that’s not true?? Again, I don’t care if you’re gay or straight lmao, bad writing is still bad writing, that doesn’t make me homophobic for saying so, I’ve literally expressed multiple times how it pisses me off how Viv portrays most LGBTQ+ people, mainly her gay characters cause all they act like are hollow shallow stereotypes as if they were written by dumb men from the 70’s. Again, there are better written gay characters out there. I should also say that I don’t mind it when a show wants to dive into the romantic side of the main character, because Blitz at the end of the day still IS the main character after all, I’m just tired of fans acting like the show is only about his and Stolas’s relationship when it should be about the entire IMP crew as well. So Helluva fans, please stop saying “It’s a queer show”- whenever someone opens their mouth to critique something. I’ve seen Queer shows that have better writing than this fan fiction of a show and my sexuality has nothing to do with it lmao.

I'm not sure if you heard but supposedly there's a very notorious Helluva Boss take on s2ep1 by the TheLoadingCrew on Youtube that is so bad that it's literally has straight fans arguing with the gay fans right now. I tried watching myself but it was so horribly wrong, homophobic, and offensive that I stopped watching. The criticism is the usual it was badly written, the characters don't act the way I want them too, Stolitz is toxic and should stay toxic. It's turned into a literal "circus!"
Welp....some people legit should just keep their opinions to themselves. I don't have the patience nor drive to watch it. It's just pathetic at this point and pure peasantry. I'm also just tired of hearing that Stolitz is toxic. It was untrue from the beginning and it's untrue now.
Like the amount of people that say that Stolas was blackmailing Blitzo....don't know what the term blackmail means. Everything they did was 100% agreed upon and Blitzo doesn't care if anyone else knows about it. Same thing goes for Stolas, which is why he's so open to flirting with him in public and even bowing to him. Plus, the fact that people want to put all the unhealthy traits onto Stolas, while Blitzo is a walking red flag, is incredibly strange. Their relationship is unhealthy, but not unfixable.
Anyway, not gonna get more into that crap. I'm just tired of seeing that shit with very little to no context to back it up. Once again everybody:
Unhealthy does not equal toxic!
