couple of close-ups. tried to do this thing i read about where you hide some narratives/foreshadowing marginal details or using decorative borders as a visual device. not entirely sure if that was effective but i had a fun time drawing it so all good.

Swamp Intro
The Swamp subsystem (formal name redacted) is an important if mysterious part of the Dragon, in the far upper north across the river that connects Undersea to a large lake in the central part of the Upperworld. The Swamp is a dangerous part of the subsystem for those who do not have the necessary skillset to make it, largely inaccessible to most, generally filled with protectors and trauma-holders. However, it can be a very welcoming safe place to those who call it home.
The Swamp has three main groupings of people, the Workforce, who represents a group of protectors who typically work on orders from Internal Affairs to do things throughout the system, the traumaholders, and Guardians who are completely non-human entities who serve some internally protective function somewhat like leviathans in Undersea. Guardians will not be included.
As usual, we will be providing image descriptions for accessibility and feel free to skip around.
Workforce
Gabrielle Quinton (Ze/Zir/He/Him?)
Quinton is the system grandfather by popular demand (we didn’t give him a choice), despite probably being in his mid-thirties (we don’t technically know a lot about him, but James is calling it). He is the head of Workforce and very efficient as his job, he also has some internal self-help things. Ze pretty much exclusively go by Quinton in system, even with Gabrielle being zir first name. He may be guarded to outsiders, but ze can always be bribed with dark chocolate. Enjoys telling stories and gazing out to sea.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Picrew of Quinton, an older slightly gruff person with long dark hair, some of it hanging in his face, some pulled up in a bun, with dark brown eyes and a scar across zir cheek. He wears all black with golden clasps on both his cape and formal shirt. A sword is strapped to his back, and ze stands in a forest. End ID]
Ollie (He/They)
Ollie (which is a nickname) is part of the “workforce” or the part of the system that refers to themselves in terms of work metaphors. Ollie self-describes as a protector and is somewhat similar in personality to Chrellys, though more blunt and far less showy. Chrellys and Ollie are also dating which has caused him to move into her haunted castle and spend less time in the swamp. Likes beetles and dressing up for in-system Halloween parties.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Picrew of a short man with curly brown hair and fairly tanned skin with a deadpan stare and bandages on their nose and cheek. He wears a semi-fitted white shirt with an olive green jacket partially off their shoulders and a navy bandanna around his neck. The background is a framed style with a ring of white flowers right behind him. End ID]
Ingride (She/Her)
A workforce protector alongside Ollie and Quinton, Ingride is a very structured person liking a certain kind of order, and she enjoys combat training. She was formally a part of the Apple Orchard but wanting a change of pace, shed her antlers and joined Workforce.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Picrew of Ingride depicting a tall blonde woman, hair up in a tight bun back behind pointed ears, she has dark blue face paint going in a horizontal band through her brown eyes with the faintest of smiles. She wears a blue blouse with a white ribbon on her neck with a sword strapped to her back and a raven on one shoulder, a loose white ribbon floating around her head. Blurred snowy mountains make up the background. End ID]
Algernon (They/Them but can use he/him to refer to himbo-esque nature)
Algernon is Marbelle’s protective counter-part and self-proclaimed “body guard.” They are highly similar to Ryan in disposition and general build, they’re just taller with long blue hair. This means they are very extraverted, friendly, and athletic (though nothing outerworld because disability), though they currently lack the same experience with the outerworld. Algernon also goes by “Algie” and enjoys watching high action anime and just having a good time.
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Picrew of a tall pale guy angled so their head is looking to the right, with long azure hair falling down to the right past their shoulders, with additional hair pulled up in a bun, the left side is clearly shaved, though covered by a chunky set of blue headphones. They have their eyes closed as they listen, with purple tinted sunglasses and a big smile with a thin scar cutting up their left cheek. They wear a black sport’s jacket over a gray muscle shirt with a black bandana, and the background is a gradient purple with a sunrise pattern and sparkles all around. End ID]
Trauma-holders
Jarvae (He/Vae/Ver)
Jarvae is a werewolf like Agony, though there’s a lot of questions about his connection to the outerworld, since he does seem to have spent most of his time in the innerworld. Vae may have a bit of a rough exterior, but he is ultimately a big softie. He loves swimming out in Undersea, which vae can do quite well in wolf form, alongside his good friend and recent boyfriend, Mhirodor (see Undersea intro).
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Picrew of a scruffy looking guy with slightly tanned skin, with large shadows underneath his eyes, bared teeth in a grimace, with a splatter of blood on ver left cheek. Vae has mostly slicked back brown hair, with only a few strands falling forward in his face, and wears a green hoodie over a skull shirt with a grey undershirt, with the additions of a black moon necklace and spiked dog collar. The background behind him is a muted medium purple with a bunch of overlapping white squares framing his head and shoulders. End ID]
Hunter G. (He/Him)
Although Hunter is now the only Hunter in the system, there used to be another, where he picked up the nickname Hunter G. Hunter is the system member who was clearly raised by wild animals in the middle of the swamp. Loves yelling and running around shirtless. He’s a holder for trans stuff in the system, though it’s a little unclear if this directly deals with trans related trauma, we kind of figured he would slot in here.
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Picrew of Hunter G, a guy with fluffy ruffled brown hair that hangs above his shoulders, with a closed eye grin as he listens to music through chunky red headphones. He wears a red hoodie over a black shirt. The background is an ombre orange to yellow with a sun right behind him and sparkle icons framing his face. End ID]
Spencer (He/Him)
Spencer is a younger system member who loves dragons, dinosaurs, and painting. He largely stays away from the front, though like Idan, he has the ability to jump through “rabbit holes” to different parts of the system. It’s really hard to pin him down or know if he’s a solid resident of the Swamp, but he fits in enough for us to put him here.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Picrew of a gangly mousy haired boy with thin rectangular glasses and paint splattered across his face, clunky headphones at his neck, wearing overalls with a frog on them as well as letting a gecko crawl up one of his hands, a distinctly uncomfortable expression on his face as a T-Rex leans down over him as if ready to take a bite, MONARCH’s butterflies flitting all around with black and white striped tentacles rising up from a bleak background landscape. End ID]
Moose (He/They)
Moose is another younger system member who we count amongst our werewolves, though he maintains the form of a wolf cub at all times. He is really excited to see if he can age up by fronting more and enjoys watching videos from “We’re in Hell.”
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Picture of a grey wolf cub in profile, looking to the right. The forest is blurred in the background. End ID]
Alder the Adder (He/Him/Hisss)
Alder is an adder, making him the first discovered snake alter (we suspect we have many, snakes are super prevalent innerworld), though very in touch with his humansona. Is connected to Sterne and knows a little more about the Swamp as a whole.
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Picrew of Alder’s humansona which is a pale skinned guy with brown hair that goes to his shoulders, with some of it pulled up in a man bun. He looks up and to the right with dark shadows under his eyes, some scars across his right one, a raised eyebrow, his mouth a bare smile. He wears a black sweater under a red flannel with a choker and the background is dark grey with several white boxes behind him. End ID]
Sterne (He/They/Hir)
Sterne is a stork, who likes looking at unsettling pictures of storks for faceclaims. Feathers always askew. Attached to Alder in some way.
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Closeup picture of a white stork, burying their beak close to their chest, with their feathers fluffing out. End ID]

Cardboard Fables: Said the Stork to the Snake (Or, Thoughts are silenced by snapping beaks)
The Stork has power over the Snake. Stork and Snake both know it. Yet somehow Stork still manages to persuade Snake to serve himself up for her meal. Peitho, Persuasion, is a delicate yet powerful skill.

What Ukrainians ate to survive Holodomor
(translated excerpts from an Історична Правда article): + images source
The villagers would dig up the holes of the polecats to find at least a handful of grain hidden by these animals. They pounded it in a mortar, added a handful of oilcake (from hemp seed), beetroot, potato peelings, and baked something from this mixture.
Those who managed to hide at least a little grain would grind it in iron mills made from wheel axles and cook "zatyrukha" (a concoction made from a small amount of flour ground from ears of grain).
Acacia flowers were boiled and eaten raw, and green quinoa was mixed with crushed corn cobs. Those who could - and this was considered lucky - added a handful of bran. This food made their feet swell and their skin crack.
Tumblr media
The peasants dried the husked ears of corn and millet husks, pounded them, ground them with weeds, and cooked soups and baked pancakes. Such dishes were impossible to chew, the body could not digest them, so people had stomach aches. Pancakes, the so-called "matorzhenyky", were made from oilcake and nettle or plantain.
It went so far that peasants would crumble straw into small chips and pound it in a mortar together with millet and buckwheat chaff, and tree bark. All this was mixed with potato peelings, which were very poisonous, and this mixture was used to bake "bread", the consumption of which caused severe stomach diseases.
There were cases when village activists took away and broke millstones, mortars, poured water on the heat in their ovens. After all, anything found or saved from the food had to be cooked on fire, and matches could only be purchased by bartering for their own belongings or by buying them in the city, which was impossible from villagers that were on "black lists".
Tumblr media
Chestnuts, aspen and birch bark, buds, reed roots, hawthorn and rose hips, which were the most delicious, were used as food substitutes; various berries, even poisonous ones, were picked; grass seeds were ground into flour; "honey" from sugar beets was cooked, and water brewed with cherry branches was drunk. They also ate the kernels of sunflower seeds.
Newborns had the worst of it, because their mothers had no breast milk. According to testimonies, a mother would let her child suck the drink from the top of the poppy head, and the child would fall asleep for three days.
In early spring, the villagers began to dig up old potato fields. They would bake dumplings from frozen potatoes, grind rotten potatoes in a mash and make pancakes, greasing the frying pan with wheel grease. They also baked "blyuvaly" (transl. "vomities") from such potatoes and oatmeal mixed with water, which was so called because they were very smelly.
Tumblr media
They ate mice, rats, frogs, hedgehogs, snakes, beetles, ants, worms, i.e. things that weren't a part of food bans and had never been eaten by people before. The horror of the famine is also evidenced by the consumption of spiders, which are forbidden to kill in Ukrainian society for ritual reasons.
In some areas, slugs were boiled into a soup, and the cartilaginous meat was chopped and mixed with leaves. This prevented swelling of the body and contributed to survival. People caught tadpoles, frogs, lizards, turtles, and mollusks. They boiled them, adding a little salt if there was salt. The starving people caught cranes, storks, and herons, which have been protected in Ukraine for centuries, and their nests were never destroyed. According to folk beliefs, eating stork meat was equated with cannibalism.
The consumption of horse meat began in 1931, before the mass famine. People used to take dead horsemeat from the cemeteries at night, make jelly out of it and salt it for future use.
Tumblr media
Dead horses were poured with carbolic acid to prevent people from taking their meat, but it hardly stopped anybody. Dead collective farm pigs were also doused with kerosene to prevent people from dismantling them for food, but this did not help either.
After long periods of starvatiom, the process of digestion is very costing for the human body, and many people who would eat anything would drop dead immediately out of exhaustion.
If a family had a cow hidden somewhere in the forest, they had a chance to survive. People living near forests could hunt/seek out berries and mushrooms, but during winter this wouldn't save them. People living near rivers could fish in secret, but it was banned and punishable by imprisonment/death.

praetor fursona headcanons
Elesh Norn: white stork
Parental imagery. Graceful-looking but actually horribly tempered bird, not unlike the swan or goose. (I'm not actually sure what stork personalities are like, so I'm sorry storks. This SPECIFIC stork has the attitude of a goose.)
Jin-Gitaxias: bottlenose dolphin
Known for intelligence and associated with water. Smug asshole. Hobbies include substance abuse. (He thinks his fursona is an epic overengineered snake-dragon-wolf with LED gamer lighting. It's not.)
Sheoldred: cockroach
Small, despised, and underestimated, in reality extremely crafty and tenacious. Could survive literally anything. Knows you don't want her there, and smugly thrives on it.
Urabrask: giant tube worm
Lives underground in a very hot place far away from everybody else. Bright red. Builds a home for himself. Keeps getting pinched and poked at by other creatures but really just wants to be left alone. (I know tube worms aren't exactly fast, which is one of Urabrask's major characteristics, but I work with what I've got.)
Vorinclex: bear
Yeah this is a low-hanging one but I couldn't come up with anything less obvious that fit. I mean... he sure is.

I think it's so funny that demons in Good Omens all get a government-mandated fursona. Snake, toad, chameleon, fly, stork, deer. Love it for them tbh.

A Shoo-in Shoebill Stork
The shoebill stork, also known as the whalebill stork or Balaeniceps rex is in fact not a stork at all, but a long-legged wading bird belonging to the family Pelecaniformes. This species can be found in the central African tropics, from southern Sudan to northern Tanzania. Within this range, they mainly inhabit freshwater swamps and dense marshes, particularly those with deep water large reed beds.
Balaeniceps rex is often referred to as a dinosaur among birds due to its fearsome appearance. The average individual stands 1.1-1.4 m (3.6-4.5 ft) tall and has a wingspan of 2.3 to 2.6 m (7.5 to 8.5 in). However, adults are quite light, weighing only 4 to 7 kg (8.8 to 15.4 lb). Males tend to be larger than females, but otherwise the two sexes look identical. Adults have dark grey plumage with a lighter belly and darker wings. Their most striking feature is their beak, which is extremely large and can be said to resemble a wooden show (hence the name).
The shoebill's beak is very useful for catching its primary prey: fish. B. rex consumes a variety of species, including lungfish, catfish, and tilapia, as well as non-fish items like water snakes, frogs, turtles, mollusks, and even young crocodiles. Shoebills typically stalk their prey, or stand perfectly still and wait for their prey to come to them, before quickly snatching it up and decapitating it with the sharp edges of their beaks. Because of their large size and strong bills, adults are seldom prey for other animals, and they defend their nests fiercely from predators like snakes and other birds.
Outside of the breeding season-- and even during it-- shoebills are extremely territorial. Not only do they chase potential predators away from their nests, both males and females will fiercely defend their territory from other shoebills.
Breeding begins in the dry season, typically in in May, and lasts until about October. Once a male and female form a pair, they remain together for the duration of the mating season. They build a nest from floating vegetation, and 1-3 eggs are cared for by both parents; in addition to being incubated for warmth, one parent may also occasionally pour a beak-full of water over the eggs to keep them cool during the hot summer day. The eggs hatch about 30 days after being laid, and young are fed continuously-- though usually only one chick survives to adulthood. At 125 days old they become fully independent and leave to establish their own territories. The average individual can live up to 35 years in the wild.
Conservation status: The IUCN lists the whalebill stork as Vulnerable. Current wild population estimates sit at about 5,000-8,000 individuals. Primary threats include poaching for the zoo trade and consumption, habitat destruction, and pollution.

Obligatory Reminders and Crossing the Lines
Have you been wondering why Shax tries to do a mail delivery to Crowley as he escorts the shop keepers to safety from Aziraphale's Eldritch Ball? It seems a pretty random thing to do at that moment.
Tumblr media
SHAX: I brought your mail. CROWLEY: Why? SHAX: It stacks up by the front door. CROWLEY: Keep it for now, not a good time.
It's not the first time Shax has tried to give Crowley his mail. We first see her hand a pile over on the park bench in S2E1, while they have an introductory spy vs. spy catch up, in St James Park.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SHAX: I brought your mail. CROWLEY: Anything interesting? SHAX: Bills, mostly. I don't understand why they won't just deliver them to your car. CROWLEY: Send the bills to Hell's finance office. SHAX: I did. They say they can't accept my signature as your replacement.
Bills, mostly. That aren't being accepted by Hell's finance office, unless Crowley signs them. And they expect to find him in the official residence of Hell's ambassador plenipotentiary to this corner of Earth, in Mayfair.
Next, we see Crowley redefining all that mail as "junk" and discarding it.
Tumblr media
uh huh. Lets ignore the conveniently placed disposal unit for the moment...
We need to stop and define what those "bills" actually are. Because they are not actually the financial type of bills. Well, they could be. But this is the GOmens AU, so they have a second meaning as well. Paying your bills is also meeting your duties and obligations to another party, and this is something Crowley is refusing to do right now.
I don't think its as simple as Hell being short staffed and they just haven't got around to doing the change over (I know I suggested the latter recently, sorry) and that's why they aren't recognizing Shax's signature. It's that Hell actually hasn't let Crowley go - he is still "on the books," so to speak, despite all that has been said and done since the Nope-ocalypse. He might call himself a "former demon," and he might call Hell his "former side," but that is definitely NOT how Hell sees it, despite the fact they aren't harassing him or giving him tasks to do.
Actually, that should be haven't been harassing him, because since Gabriel "disappeared," they have been back on his case. The mail is a warning sign, but Lord Beelzebub's summons really should have given you the chills.
Tumblr media
Crowley protests that they had a "generalized understanding" that he would be left alone, but Beelzebub declares that "we don't."
Ah. So all is not as it appears. They are just playing nice because they want something (Gabriel) and in reality Crowley's position in relation to Hell really is fragile. Yet outwardly he seems more worried about Aziraphale.
It goes downhill from here. Shax begins to stalk him.
Tumblr media
This image of Shax is just delish. The sharp "V" of her her decolletage reminds us of a stork's bill, her avatar animal, and it's stabbing down at the snake on her belt. She might be seeking the Frog Prince who escaped Heaven but she's also got a certain snake in her sights.
Tumblr media
Shax can't can't cross the threshold of the bookshop without an invitation from Aziraphale. This plays into the old belief that supernatural creatures such as vampires, demons and faeries can only enter a house if invited in. We also see this extended to the Bentley, once "ownership" is extended to the angel, but the door of the bookshop is the important border here for now.
Then have this threat of war being declared:
Tumblr media
War on Aziraphale, not Crowley, as they still consider Crowley to be on Hell's side. They don't see it the way Crowley does as Us and Them, to Shax there is still only Heaven and Hell.
So we come back to the second round of mail delivery:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crowley is about to escort the human shopkeepers to safety and Shax confronts Crowley right on the threshold with his duties and obligations. He really doesn't want to have that conversation right now, not here and not with Shax. As far as he is concerned, he has no obligations to Hell any more, and he's not taking any notice of their demands in any form, either, so Shax may as well just get out of the way and take the mail with them.
And with that, Crowley crosses the threshold, leading the humans out.
At this point in the story you might be asking what's the big deal about that? Crowley has been going in and out over that doorstep several times a day lately, and has crossed it hundreds of times over the last couple of centuries since the bookshop was built. It's not a barrier to him.
The significance of this boundary line has been highlighted to us in S2. We have Shax actually telling us that she knows she can't cross the "threshold" in S2E3, then she asks again in S2E5 where the boundary line is just before Mr Brown is hauled off into the demon Legion. But its even more than that.
On one level its the line that Crowley has drawn for himself. He's not going back to Hell if he can at all help it, and he's quite resolute about that. It's his side or no one's side, from there on in. He reinforces that when talking to Aziraphale in the Final Fifteen.
On another level, I'm wondering if we could consider this a step on the eponymous Hero's Journey? Crossing the Threshold is one of the early stages of the journey where the hero crosses into danger or the unknown. We're shown things aren't normal outside by the mist and green light. Then he diverts off unexpectedly to Heaven with Muriel. Just throwing it out there to see if its worth exploring a bit further. I'd say we've only got the early stages of the journey in S2, with the remainder to come in S3.

A Thing About Snakes (and Swords)
Snakes don’t have eyelids.
They have a thin membrane that protects their eyes, but it’s translucent, so they can never fully close them.
When Crowley Fell, his eyes were completely and permanently opened to the horrors of Heaven and Hell. Unlike Aziraphale, he is incapable of being oblivious, of engaging in denial.
Crowley’s symbol is a snake because he (metaphorically) cannot close his eyes; he cannot fail to see the truth of matters.
And that, more so even than the Fall and subsequent torture in Hell, has caused him to become jaded.
Tumblr media
He doesn’t want that for Aziraphale.
He wants Aziraphale to see the truth, but he doesn’t want to see him broken by it the way Crowley was. And that’s why he goes to such lengths to protect Aziraphale in ways that almost certainly harm him and definitely keep him from learning the full truth of what Heaven is about.
But these lengths also harm their relationship, because Crowley doesn’t tell Aziraphale things he needs to know, yet expects Aziraphale to understand things he could not possibly understand without that missing information.
That’s what makes Crowley’s “I think I understand better than you do” so painful. It’s an assertion, but it’s also an acknowledgment. He knows he’s been holding Aziraphale back—he cannot fail to see the truth—and he knows that’s why it has come to this moment.
Tumblr media
Because part of the reason Aziraphale is so good at denial is that he doesn’t have all of the evidence against Heaven. He is lacking vital information. And yes, arguments can be made that he should have figured it out by now, but when 6000+ years of your existence and safety depend on not figuring it out,  or denying the truth of it when you have, 4 years is not sufficient time to make up for all of that necessary self-deception. Not unless you have someone you trust beside you to help you take the blinders off.
And Crowley very deliberately didn’t.
You don’t need to see that; it’s too much for you to handle right now. I’ll protect you from the harshness of the truth, give it to you in small doses.
Except Aziraphale is anxious, not fragile. He is spun glass with a tempered steel core, and when the glass gets chipped away, that core shows through. And what Crowley loves is not the reflection of that core through the glass; it’s the very core itself. He just doesn’t realize that. Aziraphale is Crowley’s one true blind spot. Crowley is trying to protect the reflection, not the reality.
Tumblr media
The reality is that Aziraphale is not just waltzing on the blade’s edge: He is the blade.
Once his illusions completely break, he will find his strength. When he can no longer deny the truth—when he finally believes that he no longer needs to—he will be a force for justice, and his pure, loving, sweet, forgiving heart will shine like the sun, or burn like the glint of sun off polished steel.
Where Falling caused Crowley to become jaded, walking away from Heaven will cement in Aziraphale his sense of what is just and right and true, and his willingness to fight for it, even in the face of annihilation. He will take on the aspect of the Avenging Angel, and he will be radiant.
And together—with Crowley’s perspicacity and Aziraphale’s force of will—they will give new meaning to the phrase “power couple.”
Tumblr media
But in the meantime, it gives an interesting new connotation to this exchange:
“I forgive you.”
“Don’t bother.”
Don’t bother forgiving me for helping you keep your blinders on, my love, because I certainly won’t forgive myself for what it has done to us.
Tumblr media
Also, interesting side note that doesn’t really fit in here but I think needs to be mentioned: Storks have been known to eat snakes.
Now who do we know whose symbol is a stork?

The Most Useful Lenormand Tips
Where is Lenormand Better than Tarot?
Shallow but essential questions — “Should I stay at home tonight? If I attend this party, will I have fun?” “Should I bring an umbrella? Will rain overpower the sun?” Tarot knows the answers too, but it prefers questions of a profound nature over little things like the weather.
Mindless gambling and betting — When there’s a sports match I want to bet on but I’m not a fan of either players or teams, tarot will never answer me correctly, because it will feel that I’m not invested emotionally. Lenormand won’t care. It will tell the truth fair and square.
Quick yes or no — When tarot answers a yes or no question, it attaches a thesis as to why it is so. But sometimes, people’s intentions, a situation’s history and my own motivations do not concern or interest me. So I ask Lenormand instead for a snappy decree.
How to Predict Timing with Lenormand
January - Fish
February - Snake
March - Stork
April - Paths
May - Woman
June - Ring
July - Man
August - Child
September - Rod
October - Heart
November - Clouds
December - House
Soon - Rider
Temporarily - Birds
Quickly - Clover
Suddenly - Scythe
A long time from now - Anchor
About a year from today - Tree
Yes or No with Lenormand
Hearts - Yes
Clubs - No
Diamonds - Could Be
Spades - Unlikely
How to Do a Line of Five
STEP 1: Lay out the cards.
Get the first 4 cards from the top of the deck.
Use the card at the bottom of the deck as the 5th card.
Note that the middle card is the theme.
STEP 2: Read the cards.
Read them like a sentence, from left to right.
Then read them as a string, with the leftmost card as the subject, and the succeeding ones as adjectives.
Mirror them: 1 + 5, 2 + 4.
Note any possible date predictions. (See above.)
STEP 3: Read the playing card inserts.
Note the suits for yes or no. (See above.)
Add the playing card pips to get the Lenormand card number. (Ace to 10 is 1 to 10, Jack is 11, Queen is 12, King is 13.) If the sum is more than 36, add the two digits.
Then read the Lenormand card that your calculation led you to as the one message you need to remember, if you forget everything else.
When to Do a Grand Tableau
1) On December 31st, or on your birthday, to ask about your whole year ahead.
2) At the beginning of every quarter, to ask about your next three months.
But just choose one or the other. Don’t do them both together.
Recommended Lenormand Decks
The Blue Owl — This classic deck is the equivalent of a blue box vintage Rider-Waite. It is complete with playing card inserts and has no-nonsense images.
Pixie’s — As a Rider-Waite reader, I find this one great to use side by side a tarot spread. It has Pamela Colman Smith’s art, so together, they’re nice and seamless to look at.
Seventh Sphere — The perfect crossbreed between modern and classic. In look and design, it is no doubt new. But just like the older decks, it speaks clear and true.
How to Master Lenormand by Yourself
If you are the type who deeply values tradition and prefers to read almost purely through intuition, buy Andy Boroveshengra’s book, “Lenormand Thirty Six Cards”. It teaches the Near and Far method — perhaps the oldest and most valid way of reading this system.
If you are a technical learner and reader who is a stickler for the rules, look to Caitlín Matthews’ masterpiece instead: “The Complete Lenormand Oracle Handbook”. It treats Lenormand as Linguistics. You would feel like you are taking a college course.
But… if you do not wish to take Lenormand so seriously, that is, if you do not care to learn everything about it entirely, simply download the “Seventh Sphere Lenormand” by Labyrinthos from the App Store. It will teach you all the basics, though perhaps nothing historical and classic.
Have fun with Lenormand!

What gifts do you add to the world?
The beauty you possess is real because you possess it. Love like you give is real because you possess it. Manifestation of man exists because of us. Yes I was inspired by a recent post I reblogged mind ya business.
Disclaimer: please take what I say with a grain of salt and not as the gospel. I just want to share some ideas of practicing and giving advice using the medium as often as I can with school, work, and my own personal studies and practice. But I am working on sharing my notes soon so that will be exciting!

So this Au still needs a name, BUT
I have figured out what Most of the pokemon evolved from! It only took uh, lemme look at a clock, a week or three!
For those not interested in clicking a link, it's a pokemon/dc crossover but pokemon is straight up just a Gotham thing. Like, the flora and fauna and everything else have become corrupted/ mutated/ adapted, etc into strange creatures with stranger abilities thanks to the chemicals, magic, death pits, curses, and everything else all mixing together.
So anyway, have a list of what each pokemon originally were before Gotham got a hold of them. Some things brought into Gotham (such as via zoos, museums, or rogues or whatever) and others always there. Do keep in mind I am (mostly) not including Legendaries because I'm still not sure if I want those in the Au yet lol.

⏵Most non-sapient plant variation has happened in things such as berries & fruits
⏵It’s noted that many of the creatures show signs of convergent evolution to other animals & plants, especially in further mutations
⏵Several animals & other things not native to Gotham or New Jersey were brought in as experiments or for the Gotham Zoo which were affected over time
Like IRL Animals & Plants, They Can Have Mutations & Color Variations:
Normal color/Pattern [Very Common]
“Shinies” [Uncommon color variant]
Piebaldism/Vitiligo [Patches of no melanism]
Albinism [No melanism]
Leucism [No melanism save for eyes]
Melanism [Excess black]
Erythrism [Excess red]
Axanthism [No yellow & more blue]

The Stork has power over the Snake. Stork and Snake both know it. Yet somehow Stork still manages to persuade Snake to serve himself up for a her meal. Peitho, Persuasion, is a delicate yet powerful skill.
