re: thg, i finally read tbosas before the movie came out and i don't know why i was so shocked by how much i loved it but i was. i put off reading this book for three whole years thinking it'd be bad .. a moment of silence for my foolishness.

worst experience in the world is someone explaining to you so thoroughly and carefully how this adult thing is going to work and then you do the thing and you call the guys to make the appointment and turns out they lied

#me: hi i'm transferring from the Kid Clinic to the Big Person clinic i need an appointment #receptionist: so you want one before your birthday?#me: w. well that's not what they said i'd. ...uh huh that's fine #receptionist: ok. 9:30 am on a day before your birthday #me: well i'm transferring from the kid clinic and they told me they'd want to see me earlier in the day and-#receptionist: i don't have any earlier times on that day #me: *thats fine.*#im on my hands and knees over here #they also scheduled me a week before that for a test that's going to take 5 fucking minutes #it takes 30-45 minutes to drive there you can't be serious #ALSO. they had me go through one of those stupid 'if you are this press 1' things and i specifically told it to #take me to the clinic for my specific chronic illness #and i don't think the receptionist. was part of that clinic #like god fucking damn i was told i was going to be contacted by the cf guys not this entire separate group

it’s very hard coming to terms with being physically disabled and i super duper also have not come to terms with the fact that i am mentally disabled as well. like i can’t keep ignoring it and arguing against it and trying to pretend im “normal”
