!!!WARNING!!! I talk about sa and nonconsensual topics
“As a Sukuna fan, I don't like when other Sukuna fans victimize him at the expense of other characters, especially characters that are HIS victims.”
Anon I really like your take. This character analysis is a nice perspective on topics some people tend to brush aside. Even though that's okay because it’s fiction. But, you influenced me to want to bring up something I found interesting.
Okay so if we're taking the complexity of Sukuna’s character seriously, there is so much more to look at when it comes to him wanting a someone else’s body to be his vessel. Kenjaku is at fault too for enabling his desire’s.
But when you acknowledge that Sukuna is using Yuji’s and Megumi’s bodies without consent, this is something that can be applied to real world situations. And something even I tried to push aside. I will never forget people comparing Yuji’s reaction to Sukuna taking over Megumi’s body to Guts reaction to Griffith sa Casca. And when I compared the panels they were quite similar.
If you look up Guts screaming “Griffith” to Yuji screaming “Sukuna” they are damn near identical. Even the other reactions on Yuji’s face are similar throughout that chapter. Yuji’s left pinky finger getting ripped off by Sukuna. Guts cutting of his left arm to free himself to try and stop Griffith. Yuji’s face when Sukuna flew away from him while laughing at him with Uraume.
In my opinion, there are just way too many similarities. And I believe gege might’ve possibly done that on purpose. To show the severity of Sukuna using Megumi’s body to do whatever he wants. Yuji's reaction being just like Guts suggests that he knows exactly how it feels to witness Sukuna take control of him and do whatever he wants.
For those who don't know Guts had been sa before and knew how it felt for Casca and Yuji knew how it felt to see Sukuna kill people and/or their loved ones without being able to stop him. So, he fought hard to get him back because he didn't want Megumi to go through the same thing. After all, he experienced it himself.
Also, we have the topic of the angel saying it’s wrong for a reincarnated sorcerer to control someone else's body. So they agreed to live consensually with Hana. And they made it their mission during the culling game to stop/kill Sukuna and the other reincarnated sorcerers.
Therefore, Yuji and Megumi being victims to Sukuna is something that should be talked about more sometimes. Not to say Sukuna wasn't a victim himself to society, but that’s another topic and I've seen so many other beautiful analyses about this already.
I fear more people deserve to see that anon’s ask if you want to look at Sukuna’s and Yuji’s relationship from a more serious standpoint.

STOLEN AGAIN
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I genuinely didn't know if I could be bothered to announce this again but I can't let it slide.
This is the second time that I'm aware of that this particular fic has been stolen. Granted, from what I can tell the only thing that is similar seems to be the smut, but that isn't the point. I don't particularly know how to go about this because as most of you know I'm not at all fond of the ao3 interface and I rarely use it.
But I wanted to post here because as we know, fic plagiarists seldom write anything for themselves. The ao3 date is confusing me a lil but I think they posted this chapter just two days after I posted my fic? I can't say for sure but it doesn't inspire hope for this particular poster that they are writing for themselves.
I was torn about whether to make a post about this at all because last time my work got stolen it made me so incredibly anxious and paranoid. I was physically and mentally drained because of it and I didn't know if I wanted to go through that again.
However I'm willing to take the risk because I know it's the right thing to do, and the fact that other moots or fellow writers could have had their work stolen by this person is the main reason I am doing this. It takes an incredible amount of energy, time, and passion to write or do anything creative and we are doing it for free because we want to and because it's fun. And to have that trivialised by being stolen for ?? laziness ?? clout ?? I don't know, it sucks.
I really do hope this author does write for themselves and just had a moment of weakness.
The writing clearly isn't entirely copied and pasted but has been tweaked slightly, I'm assuming in hopes of getting away with it? But at that point wouldn't it be better to just actually write something yourself?
Anyway, hopefully this user hasn't stolen from anyone else, but just in case I will link their fic below. It's a big multichap series and I honestly wouldn't have known if an anon hadn't have told me.

Fandom Discourse Analysis
Mentions of aging up, enjoying villian characters, and disliking popular characters.
Something I have noticed about anime becoming more popular and mainstream and also the rise in minors in certain spaces is a constant level of discourse over certain topics. I truly believe it’s a good thing anime has become more popular. However, as it brings in more viewers, I think it’s important too open up the conversation surrounding the necessity of distinguishing fiction from reality. There is a lot of posts I see while browsing tags and although I don’t post often I think something needs to be said about three very specific topics that, for me, mean a lot and seem to have a lot of discourse surrounding them.
One of the things I see happening a lot lately within the community is the hatred against people for liking fictional characters who happen to be minors in their respective animes. The aging up dilemma. First off, let me start by saying that a fictional pixel on a screen does not = minor. It can not be a minor because it is a drawing that was made up whenever the author wrote it. And in a lot of these instances, these characters are crafted by the authors with traits that appeal broadly to audiences, transcending their canon ages. This is particularly evident in shonen anime, where characters are often depicted with maturity, wisdom, or exaggerated physical features that align more closely with adult aesthetics rather than with children. This stylistic choice by many authors is done purposely to cater to a wide demographic, enabling viewers to form connections with characters regardless of age.
It's important to recognize that a great majority of the time it is NOT the age that attracts viewers to the character which differentiates them with people in real life who are attracted to minors. Having a crush on, or writing about a fictional character that, like I said previously more closely align with adult aesthetics, does not make someone a pedophile. I think when it comes to loli and shota, then yes maybe we can open up this conversation as those characters are made to look like children. But that’s another topic. Acknowledging the fictional nature of these characters and their resemblance to adult fictional characters should be taken into consideration and not be misconstrued as indicative of real-life inclinations towards minors. Not to mention many of these authors don’t want them to be minors which is why they write about them as adults. Again, these are NOT minors. They are drawings and their ages can be changed depending on who’s writing them. An author could come out tomorrow and say the character has always been an adult and that would make it canon. It is not the same as pedophilia. Most people like characters like Sukuna that doesn’t reflect their real life tastes. Which brings me to my next point.
Liking a villainous character does not correspond to endorsing those actions in real life. Anime often portrays "evil" characters with a depth that makes them appealing through usually through some form of tragic backstory, a charismatic or confident personality, or having extremely complex motivations. I think this makes people often misunderstand that liking them is a reflection of one's real-world values. That is not the case.
Some people even like these characters just for being attractive and due to the fact they are fictional, and again an authors way of getting people to appeal to said characters, it can not be misconstrued of saying that those actions would be okay in real life scenarios. These characters allow viewers to explore themes of conflict, redemption, and moral ambiguity that can be explored in safety because it’s fiction. I think one of the main reasons people find themselves drawn to them is that villian characters are often created with flaws and authors give them depth to explore said flaws. This is why anti-hero characters are also often seen as more relatable and engaging. Anti-heroes, like villains, aren't bound by the usual moral constraints and often make decisions that are more realistic than heroes would. They can express doubts, conflicts, and vulnerabilities that mirror real human experiences. This makes them intriguing and allows audiences to connect with them on a deeper level.
All that said I think the attraction to villainous or morally grey characters often stems from their complexity and the opportunity they provide for viewers to engage with difficult ideas and emotions in a safe, controlled setting. These characters challenge our perceptions of good and evil by navigating a blurred line between the two which is appealing for most people.
The last thing I want to bring up which kind of ties in with liking villainous characters is that disliking certain characters beloved by others is not necessarily a negative stance. Anime characters are crafted with diverse backgrounds, personalities, and motives, which naturally produce varied reactions among viewers. Understanding a character's motives yet still disliking them is completely valid and should stop being treated as inherently wrong or a negative reflection of someone.
People are allowed personal preference and I think that encourages a a better discussion within anime communities whereby differing opinions can coexist. It is through these discussions that fans can dig into character analysis and conversations revolving around characters. Recognizing that disagreement over characters is totally normal and that people can be cool with each other, or be friends and disagree is important in both real life and fiction.
At the end of the day there is also the block button which I will admit I use when needed, if you disagree with someone’s take. Instead of sending them hate and being a horrible person on the internet.

"Only Yuji influenced Sukuna's decision to choose a different path!"
"Only Uraume influenced Sukuna!"
Maybe a hot take! Maybe an unpopular opinion, I don't know but...
As someone whose favorite character is Yuji and also likes Uraume, like that's my ice icon right there, I think it's absurd to think that only one of them played a part in Sukuna's decision in the afterlife to choose a different path, let alone argue over it.
I say that they both had influence over Sukuna's decision for a different path.

so because we have only three chapters left, I’ve decided that I’m going to wait for the official release instead of going through the leaks as I’ve been doing for… almost the past 2 years. I don’t want the leaks and the fandom discourse to ruin my last experience with jjk as a still ongoing manga… plus I thought it would be more fun and enjoyable this way... more special ig (I’m being so sappy ik) wish me luck guys!!
#Plus I want to know what it feels like to read a jjk chapter without the leakers’ wonky translation and shitty panels quality#also… I’m soooooo tired of the discourse I’m genuinely over it.#I’m trying really hard to avoid it and just enjoy the chapters#cause even if I had my own doubts (that expressed here) about certain things#they were more or less later addressed in the next couple of chapters#so at this point I’m like ok I still don’t know what to expect or how gege is going to tackle all of it.#I have more questions than answers regarding characters like sukuna yuuji or megumi.#yes I loved sukuna’s conclusion and no idk how certain his ending it is as everything about it felt quite vague and unclear.#so yes I’m happy but I’m also open to whatever gege has planned for the last three chapters…#and basically whatever. just you do you gege I really don’t know what to expect. AT ALL.#all I know is that I want to let gege finish his story so I could have a full picture in mind#I’m tired of reading and going through assumptions criticism about new released chapters#while knowing that there are still more (now just three) chapters left#this was basically my whole jjk fandom experience after EVERY new chapter “this is bad and doesn’t make sense” like…#the story is not even finished yet 😭#I just want gege to finish the manga and then we can talk about what went well or what went wrong… and all#but in the meantime I just want to enjoy the story for as long as I can#that’s all#jjk#personal

regarding the whole jjk& gege hatespread movement going on rn, i think this is the perfect illustration of what happened when """trendhoppers""" (i really do not like that term) get into a popular manga because of the characters (fangirls) or the powerscale (..reddit anime bros?😭). and like, to some extent, that's fine!! fangirls are and will always be a big part of fandoms and are a big part of what keeps the community alive. i think the problem lays on the fact that jjk got a wide audience who is used to very binary good guys/bad guys representation in anime with same schemes repeated all over and never questioned their grounding bases. and some really don't like to be confronted to new characters paths or visions (especially if they do not accord to their own).
also the fact that people tend to move to the next shiny thing when the hype is over usually leaves the fandom with people who are actually interested in the story, whereas jjk never left the big screens. so i feel like a lot of the people who take a lot of place in this discourse are only there because they want to argue about who bodies who and "x could wipe the floor with y" and "x is so me guys" etc. they completely disregard the story and it's building, which is (besides interesting (and it is always good to remind it)) the WORK of SOMEONE who puts his time and effort into it.
most people treat work as content (which is bad)(coughcapitalismcough) and get angry when it's not presented in the way they want it to be☹️
You are so right anon!
And do you know what's the worst thing I've ever seen? Someone who said that Satoru couldn't die because the consumer (us, the readers) is always right ☠️ That take is so fucking disgusting, I don't even know where to begin to express the disgust I feel. There are people in the fandom who don't understand anything, they are the typical self-centered people who believe it's okay to throw trash on the school floor because there are hired cleaners. They are disgusting, I don't regret saying it.
The good thing about these chapters is that it's being shown who in the fandom are good people and who are narcissistic and ethnocentric wrecks who believe they have the power to decide on the author of the work. I've spent the last few months mass blocking these guys, ugh, I can't stand them. Worst of all, they live in their own delulu world where a sad ending (or//insert any ending they don't like) is not allowed. They really think jjk should have an ending where Sukuna is defeated and that is, again, self-centered. They say that, otherwise, everything would have been for nothing. Hmm? Since when does letting evil win undo an entire story? They are unable to value jjk for its history. They are doing the same thing that the jujutsu world did with Satoru, they are dehumanizing everything and they are so self-centered they don't even realize it.
People are literally dehumanizing both the author and the characters themselves, forcing their own vision of the narrative at the expense of whatever. Also, I've noticed that many of these profiles just spew hate, literally. That's their whole personality. You see a review in your dash, you enter the profile and surprise! that person hates everything they consume, they don't have a single good word in absolutely any chapter, they hate the author and claim that “Gege doesn't know his own characters” (as if characters aren't allowed to change and evolve in their views, ideology, etc, lmao)
These people are the worst, they spread super negative vibes. They seem very immature to me, because, if you don't like something, why would you continue consuming it? That's straight toxic, and I don't think they have a proper mental health if they're like this with the rest of things happening in their lives. They like to hate and they live off it, that is the only answer.
On the other hand, they are forcing “Gege has a bad narrative” to cover up the fact they are incapable of leaving the fandom and seeing the characters as characters and not their puppets, they force their fanon vision on them and then cry when they discover that they aren't like they expected. Shoko is an example of this. She was always certainly cold, but the fandom always painted her as Satoru's super hyper bestie, as a victim of Satoru's “selfisness” after the kfc breakup (god forbid a teenager grieving) and forced on her that she's a very good person when in reality she is still a doctor who passed her exams by cheating and who showed no empathy in lots of situations, when seeing, for example, Yuuji's corpse.
People also complain that the final fight is taking too long, lol, fights in shonen are like that, that's the point of the genre, babe, jjk is literally sold and promoted as a fight shonen. I honestly think that those who say that are people with a tiktok span of attention. (they would complain if the fight lasted for ten chapters too) Also, what a coincidence gege's narrative dropped when they started waiting weekly for a chapter, huh? What a coincidence they started disliking jjk when they started waiting, also all characters now seemed to be bad written after they started waiting another coincidence! Fast consuming has RUINED people's perception of media.
The moral of this is: enjoy what you consume, be mature about your consuming choices and have a good relationship with the things you like. Stay away from the negativity! And, most importantly, don't treat the author as your slave.
By the way, ik people have a twitter mentality so i'll say this for those. I'm not saying people can't have their own opinions, don't force that narrative on me lol It's the way you express your views that categorizes wether you're a normal person or an asshole. For example, I would have loved Yūta to stay out of this and leave Sukuna to Yuuji, since it was his time to shine! I think Yuuji deserves to have the spotlight and end everything (or try to), carry the final fight and all that. But I won't complain about it, nor drop the manga, because I'm not an inmature self-centered fifteen year old :)
Thanks for coming to my ted talk

Everytime I see Adam bashing I wonder if sk8 is their first anime, or how young they are.
Idk bashing of any character just comes across as childish and silly too me.
Especially when Adam didn’t do anything out of the norm for a typical anime villian.
Like Sukuna, Geto, Frieza, Dani, Shigiraki have all done worse yet I never see bashing tags for them.
It’s always people who either did the bare minimum when it comes to being shitty or didn’t do anything at all.
Adam hit Cherry in the face and attacked Reki, no shit he’s the bad guy. Then people saying he SA Langa, which he didn’t. Harassed yes. (People gotta stop throwing that around but that’s a different discussion)
Meanwhile Dabi killed millions and everyone is like uwe poor baby. Like what?
Note I don’t like Adam I don’t dislike him. He’s amusing is all. I just get tired of fics making him to be this big bag horrible monster when he’s not. Bros just an asshole. Not a rapist sociopath that’s more likely to be your other faves actually

can we put the whole who is the real MC discourse to rest now, gege has made it clear that jjk centers on both yuji and yuta and of course in the end yuji will shine in this fight with sukuna, so some fans can stop being bitter on yuta taking over briefly when gege made it clear they are both working together

i think we should have less gruesome hcs for sukuna. like i get that his whole character is monstrous, but at the end he goes out with yuji and tries a bunch of stuff with him and some cool stuff is revealed about him. like i think he’ll go to the art museum and hate every last piece of modern art, but it’s the museums with ancient artifacts that he really likes. he’ll go to the movies and think all of it is ass, but he likes historical movies. he does eventually learn how to speak more modernly, but even that is very articulate. he likes playing sports, any sport at all bc he’s really athletic. he has a phone but only calls people, never texts. random normal stuff like this

tags: fluff, suggestive, heina era!sukuna, queen/wife!reader, nicknames, i believe in sassy sukuna
“enough with that useless nickname.”
You couldn’t help it, you loved to tease your husband. Sukuna had a temper that had all the courtiers and nobles in his court trembling in their sokutai. But for you, his queen, his resolve melted in your hands like putty. And nothing brought you greater joy than annoying him.
Sukuna leveled you with a glare that could have brought the strongest soldier to submission, but you merely smiled in return.
The nickname had been your newest torture method, brought to life one morning during the relatively common discourse that came with his meetings with the imperial court. You couldn’t help but notice how much your fierce husband resembled a tiger as he rattled off insults to his advisors. Ruthless and dangerous as he silenced cocky nobles with singular looks in their direction.
The thought continued as you both sauntered to your bed chambers, and then settled into your shared yaedatami, Sukuna’s head resting in your lap as you carded your fingers through his hair. There was still that ever present glare on his tattooed face, though it was now softened by your doting. He resembled a tiger cub, cute and yet to be harmful.
“You look so much like a tiger, Your Highness. A tiny little cub.” You murmured out loud, smiling as Sukuna’s brows furrowing in confusion.
“Are you well, wife?” He asked, his face hardening back into that stiff glare. “You call your king a…baby tiger?”
Your fingers still sift through his hair as your smile broadened and you giggle, “Yes, Your Highness, you’re my little cub.”
That night ended with Sukuna demanding you never call him that again and then facing away from you as you slept.
(You woke up with his arm around your neck in a death grip…so clearly his anger was short lived. He could never sleep without your skin against his.)
You never did well with demands. It was part of why Sukuna adored you.
“Are you enjoying your food, little cub?” You asked him at the dining table the next afternoon, absentmindedly sipping your green tea.
Sukuna makes something like a growl in his throat, snapping the chopsticks in his hand in two, “You’ve ruined my appetite.” He fumed, slamming the broken chopsticks on the table and leaving swiftly, you watch his retreating back with barely concealed giggles.
And so of course you persist, continuing to pester him with the nickname:
“Is my little cub feeling alright?”
“Have patience, little cub.”
“Taste this wonderful tea I’ve made, my little cub.”
“Isn’t this such an enchanting hitoe, little cub?”
“Little cub, you need to be kinder.”
Rumors spread throughout the palace of the King of Curses’ new status as the tiger cub to his Queen. What had first been a way to get a rise out of your husband quickly became endearing. You adored your husband, and the nickname represented the way you saw him, not as the feared King of Curses, but as your love, your little cub.
But you figured you stop your teasing, he clearly found it maddening, and you didn’t want any servants to lose their heads once the gossip reached the king’s ears.
★
You were taking a stroll through the palace gardens, Sukuna at your side nodding along to your laments of your queenly duties and the ladies court. He lived for the drama stirring between your ladies court, despite how much he claimed your chatter was a nuisance.
You gave him a small, appreciative smile, “I love how you listen to me drone on, Your Highness.”
Sukuna’s brows furrowed in confusion, usually he would give a dismissive response that you had to mentally decipher to figure out the compliment hidden underneath but now, he was silent.
And so you continued to drone on, pausing at the sight of the koi fish swimming innocently in the small pond, “Aren’t they so adorable, Your Highness?”
Sukuna stiffens at your words before crossing his arms with his usual suave arrogance, “You’ve ceased calling me that incessant nickname. Finally.”
You fixed him with an understanding smile, “Of course, my king. I apologize for my continued teasing, I’ll never utter the name again. ”
He took a short while to respond, “Good, it was ridiculous and frankly insulting.”
“Yes, my king.” You watched the koi dart through the water, golden scales illuminated by the moonlight. Through the corner of your eye you could see the slight discomfort in Sukuna’s usual glare…and decide to test the waters, “I will never call you my little cub ever again.”
His gaze was damn near piercing as soon as the nickname left your mouth, and you had no time to react as he pulled you into him aggressively with a growl, pressing his lips to yours for a demanding and messy kiss you were sure the servants could see.
“Again.” He growled for only a second before his lips were once again upon you, gnawing at your lower lip like a starved beast.
You were breathless and sure your jūnihitoe had been rumpled by your husband’s sudden eagerness. But you still mustered a smile at the desperate little look in Sukuna’s eyes, “Anything for you, my little cub.”

Just wanna say that when I write for toji more, there will be times where he calls the reader “ma” or “mama” bc I think it suits him more than him saying “baby girl” or p-princess🤢
if that’s not your thing maybe skip my toji works. I’m surprised there’s this much discourse over this as though he isn’t a literal drawing… n e ways😃
“He’s a Japanese man!!!” No babe he’s paper actually.
-these the same people acting as if gojo would ever be in a committed relationship when gege has explicitly said he would cheat on you😂
-n we got people on here writing sukuna as a dad as though he wouldn’t cannibalize that baby the minute it came out your snatch💀
-n people writing toji and megumi in the same fic as though toji gave a fuck about him😭
my point is we’re all just having funnnn!
if you wanna write toji as a stoner who calls you ma then do that😭
And if you don’t like that, stop terrorizing and patronizing the people who write him like that and move around.
