Super7's Ultimates is such a mixed bag. I really want to do a full gallery on this toy - it's beautifully sculpted, the paint is top notch, and I love the cloth cape.

But the articulation is baffling. So many joints feel like they're intended to work in tandem with joints that aren't here. And what articulation is there is very loose. Especially his hips.

But it's a gorgeous figure, and the camera loves him. My opinion has definitely softened in the year and half I've owned him.

Super7 has opened pre-orders for "Blazing Godzilla (1200º Clear Orange)" Ultimates figure.

I guess for those who really want to blow $85 on a repaint/remold of the same mediocre figure they already released 4 times.

But, you know, clear and orange this time.

Really a shame that Super7 has apparently gone the way of S.H. Monsterarts, by just constantly recycling a not-great sculpt for ridiculous prices.

Still, even Super7 usually bothers to include interesting accessories, so I have to give them that.

Fixed! @oak23 Thank you for saying it's how He-man figures are repaired; when I looked that up the tutorial gave the exact screw part size and number and it worked perfectly for this. Threaded some small flat elastic through the body (NOT EASY!) and through the eye screw, then tied it as tight as I could. She has good articulation though I'm not sure how well it matches the original ball; perhaps rather better in some directions.

Some yosd sized shoes fit over her sculpted shoes, as well as *le gasp* Glitter Girls skates!!!

And she is very much a head accessories kind of doll. Er, figure. Whatever. I don't know why I accumulate so many dolls without hair but here we are.

Not only did we get some free comics but we did take part in some of the sales too! I had my eye on one of these for a while and they were marked 30% off plus my 15% employee discount 😁 So I ended up getting him for a really good price So I'm extremely happy with that. As great as GiJoe Classifieds are, I already have a robust 25th Anniversary collection, so I really couldn't justify going all in on yet another full scale Joe line. I opted instead for Super7s Ultimates Joes. Their cartoon aesthetic made them unique enough. And more importantly though was that their slooooow release schedule is much more manageable on the wallet.
