I do not want members of the Batfamily in canon to have powers.

I do not like the new stuff where Dick becomes "Superwing" (😪 the name, dear gods) or where Damian had powers for various reasons or really, any of that.

Duke is an important character because of the perspectives he offers (& not just the ones who have to do with his race/ethnicity). This post is more tailored towards giving Batfam members who have ALWAYS relied on their physical & mental prowess to succeed.

I don't mind AUs (like DC vs. Vampires, which was COOL up until the rushed ending). I just do not like the addition of powers to characters who have existed WITHOUT powers for so long, just because DC is running out of ideas for arcs.

Bruce has said that he hates having metahumans in Gotham for several reasons.

(yes, I have a DC Comics OC who trained with the Batfam & has powers, before anyone else points that out. 😁 This is more, to me, about how you can have fun with some things in fanon but they don't make as much sense in canon.)

Now, while that seems crazy and dumb, considering the original plan was to take the same plane to Kansas, it makes a whole lot more of sense. Except they didn´t end up taking the same plane, and now Bruce is stranded, Dixies plane is delayed, but thank the lord for tall farmers in Timberland boots who stop their truck in the middle of the road to steal some cologne

I just wanted to say I stayed up later than I should have finishing SuperWing, Stucky and SlaDick, Oh My! and I loved it so much. I love going to conventions, because like Stiles, people can just be themselves without judgement. I've missed them so much over the last year so this was really comforting, I can tell it's going to be re-read a lot. You reminded me of the queuing though, oh god! If you ever revisit this AU I'd love to see what lies in store for Derek and Stiles, I think it's my favourite of yours (and wow, that's a tough choice!) Thank you for writing it.

I totally feel you on that though, I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve been to a convention! I do want to go to one again once the pandemic goes away (you know, eventually, when it-when it goes away orz). I’ve never been to a big one like Comic-Con, usually smaller ones in my area. Have you been to really big ones? :D 

And yes, being someone else is always the best part XD And while queues can be long and annoying, you can meet cool people in the lineups too so I try really hard to look on the positive of queues XD I am shy irl though until I get to know someone so I am not super good at the making friends in queue thing, but I TRY!!!!

I'm in law school so I CANNOT try to write a politics AU right now, but I really want to, or I really want to read something you or someone else writes in this universe you've made up. I love the West Wing and Leo is by far my favorite character in any television show, and Kara would make such a good Jed Bartlet. I'm loving every minute of these.
