Despite attempts to keep the find secret, word spread across the country, reaching the East Coast by August. 5th thru 8th grade I attended Montebello First Baptist Day school now known as Montebello Christian. 41 yrs ago (1976) I was in 8 grade & our small class went on a historical 2 week trip thru Californias Gold Country visiting several gold rush era towns and other sites & cities in Northern California. Our first night (if not mistaken) we stayed in the small town of Murphy California (hence the Murphy Hotel), that room I'm pointing to was the room I stayed that first night. What a bunch of #mischievous jr highers we were. That first night was full of drama but it was the beginning of some fun & memorable times. It also sparked my interest in history & especially California history. Слушаешь таких и не веришь, что нечто подобное имело место быть. Уж нарочито слащаво и пластмассово. И с этим ничего, откровенно говоря, не сделаешь, к сожалению. Тем не менее, достойные единичные исполнители появляются порой по миру. Они призваны воплотить в жизнь дух ушедшей эпохи, поднять рок-н-ролл на ноги, но и не забыть внести нечто свое, то, что будет вселять жизнь в некогда умершего старика вновь. И вот здесь как раз выходит на сцену сия толковая команда с юго-запада Англии со своим дебютным альбомом. Эти ребята знают толк в настоящем рокабилли, играют все аутентично и достойно. И несмотря на это, звучат они довольно свежо и своеобразно. Замечательный пример идеального баланса между классикой и современным звучанием.
