I've been writing my human!Swatch as an intersex baby at birth, who had masculinizing surgery as an infant, and identifies as nonbinary as an adult, but have not explained the background as to why in-story during the events of CALL SIGNS.

Should I?

There's a scene coming up in a WIP chapter where Swatch does actually wear what might be considered femme clothing, although I personally think of it as more unisex.

Calling this one "Dress Up Schmess Up 2" since I sort of want it to be an extension of the first game, just with a different bigger/chubbier body type for the doll. So it's got similar style, item count, and color palette, but all new items just drawn for this game.

I made myself a stylization guide for the straw hats! I’m only on water 7 myself, so I’ve only drawn the characters I’m very familiar with, but I may add on the others as they come along!

If anyone has anything interesting they do with the straw hats’ designs, I’d love to hear about it!

hi! I found another object that I'm going to overuse and decided to slap some patterns on it. Details, credits and download links below the cut.

DETAILS:

This is a recolor of 'The WhipperSnapper: Mach 10 Edition Rocker' Rocking chair from the Growing Together expansion pack.

Unfortunately, this means that Growing Together is required in order for these recolors to work. Sorry!

There are 14 various patterned swatches. You can see an unedited preview of all of them right here (edge smoothing off).

Patterns are mostly cute, baby themed patterns with some oddballs mixed in.

The internet: You must never machine wash your knits. Never. Ever. They will be destroyed the moment they are touched by the caress of a machine's heated water supply. Hand wash only, or You Shall Be Sorry.

Me:

That photo contains ~13 pairs of 70/30 wool/nylon socks, a 100% wool shawl, an acrylic shawl, an acrylic kid's jumper, an acrylic beanie, a vest knit of "handwash only" wool, and a few other things I've forgotten.

This is one of the reasons to swatch, people. Knit a swatch. A big one. Even better, knit a hat out of the thing you want to use. Chuck it in the wash. See how it comes out. Make decisions from there.

I've knitted somewhere above 50 non-sock things in the decade or so since my first kid came along. I have machine washed them all. Only two - TWO - things have gotten eaten by the wash in that time. (a purple toddler dress and half a sock). And both of those were accidentally put through with the regular clothes wash.

Obligatory caveats: Probably don't do this if your machine doesn't have a gentle/delicate setting. I made sure mine came with a wool cycle when I had to buy a new one. It takes 38 minutes, spins at 800 RPM, and refuses to go hotter than 30ºC.

Also if you tend to use loosely spun yarns or very large gauges (both seem to be popular nowadays), or like to knit Extremely Delicate Lace, use caution. (My knitting preferences are basically the opposite of those things - I like things that last.)

i forget there interests I don’t really talk about to other people or keep to a minimum bc I know they’re not the most conventional but I have a huge special interest in crayola art supplies/and collecting and I have almost every recent release of specialty crayon and I get so excited when they release new ones . I got so excited recently bc they just released swirl crayons ( I think they’re a revival from a 90s version) but I’m literally so fucking excited you don’t get it. you don’t even know. Sorry I wanted to ramble. Hark! to my completely unrelated tumblr blog I go!☝🏽
