For the honest character, asks 4, 32, and 43 for Gale.
For Astarion, 2, 29, and 49.
You don't have to answer them all if you are not comfortable ✨️
Thank you my lovely! A little bit of Astarion as well? A little nibble? We love that 💜
Gale:
4. Did you initially dislike/hate this character?
Nope. Adored him immediately. Pulled him from the portal and went 'oh, shit, this one' and just 😍
32. If you could make this character a meal, what would you make them?
Ohhhhhh a tough question for Mr keen cook Dekarios.... I think I would go with 3 courses. The first would be some kind of salad I think, with feta, rocket (arugala), mint as a salad leaf, pomegranate seeds, good olive oil, lots of pepper, something like that.
The second one would be a sort of fish stew I enjoy making in summer. I kind of threw it together out of what I had, but it's a tomato based fish stew. This 'recipe' is just vibes really but if you want to make something like it:
It starts with onions and garlic in olive oil, sweet red peppers (the pointy ones), chilli flakes, sriracha maybe, add a can of tomatoes, a can of butter beans, white fish (I just use frozen fillets of pollock, sometimes I've used fresh sea bass), and prawns/shrimp. Season to taste and add some lemon. I just eat it as is so it's light.
The second thing would be a lemon custard type thing. From memory that's about 5 egg yolks, demarera sugar, lemon juice and zest, whip those together, heat milk and vanilla in a saucepan until hot but not boiling, add a bit of the milk to the egg mix and beat that together so it doesn't scramble, then pour that mix into the milk and keep stirring until it thickens. I put them in small ramekins and pop them in the fridge so they're set and chilled.
43. What type of weather makes you think of this character?
Thunderstorms, but only because that's my favourite weather and Gale uses lightning a lot.
Astarion:
2. Did you always like this character?
No! I staked him in my first playthrough. Hated his guts in fact. It took a long, long time for me to go 'oh, shit' and fall so hard for him I got a tattoo.
29. Do you affectionately bully this character?
No, to be honest. I'll bully Gale a little, but with Astarion I just want to treat him gently because he's had so many years of shit. I just want to be soft with him 🥺
49. What’s your favorite personality trait in this character?
His empathy for Durge makes me cry. He understands what it's like to feel trapped and the way he starts to care for them more than himself... I wept I swear.
💜💜 thank you again darling!

top 5 things you eat for dinner (because idk what to make and need inspo 😭)
not me answering this in the morning lmao 😭 but here we go, quick and easy stuff i cook for dinner:
1. pasta with tomato sauce (add a bit of sugar), garlic, onion, butter plus just a bit of olive oil, some chilli if you want to spice it up a bit; basic but slaps; the key lies in good tomato sauce!! literally my comfort dish
2. pasta w/ prawns, parsley, garlic, simplest thing ever but so good;
3. a recipe I found on tik tok w/ a few of my ✨modifications ✨: tortilla wraps with chicken (dice it and cover it in some pepper, salt, oregano, sweet paprika, squeeze out some lemon), add some veggies (throw in whatever you want I just go for some lettuce, red onion & tomatoes) and sauce: sriracha, natural yoghurt, honey, salt, pepper) absolutely exquisite and v simple!
4. also i sometimes buy like ready-made french pastry, put some chopped pears, camembert and leak in the pastry, cover it with mixed egg and crème fraîche and put it all in an oven) i add a bit of honey on the side and it’s so delish!
5. last but not least… zapiekanka 😁 (love to make it cause it’s just so low effort hah)

Can I Swap the Chicken For Something Else?
Certainly! The versatility of this Chicken Noodle Soup recipe allows you to swap the chicken for other protein options or make it vegetarian. Here are a few alternatives you can consider:
Turkey: Substitute chicken with turkey for a lean and slightly different flavor. Turkey breast or leftover roasted turkey can work well in this soup.
Tofu: For a vegetarian option, replace the chicken with cubed tofu. Tofu absorbs the flavors of the broth and adds a protein-packed, plant-based twist to the soup.
Shrimp or Prawns: Introduce a seafood element by using peeled and deveined shrimp or prawns. Add them towards the end of the cooking time to prevent overcooking.
Canned Chickpeas or White Beans: If you prefer a vegetarian and protein-rich alternative, consider adding canned chickpeas or white beans. They contribute a hearty texture to the soup.
Quorn or Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP): For a meat substitute, try Quorn pieces or textured vegetable protein (TVP). These options are plant-based and can mimic the texture of meat in the soup.
Remember to adjust the cooking times accordingly based on the protein you choose. Whether you’re catering to dietary preferences or simply experimenting with flavours, feel free to customise the recipe to suit your taste and preferences!
Can I Swap Out or Add Any Other Vegetables?
Absolutely! Feel free to get creative and add a variety of vegetables to enhance the flavour and nutritional profile of your Chicken Noodle Soup. Here are some vegetable options you can consider:
Celery: Add chopped celery for a mild, earthy flavour and extra crunch.
Peas: Frozen or fresh peas can be a delightful addition, bringing a burst of sweetness to the soup.
Sweetcorn: Corn kernels contribute a subtle sweetness and a pop of colour to the soup.
Spinach or Kale: Toss in fresh spinach or kale leaves for added greens and a nutritional boost.
Bell Peppers: Sliced bell peppers, whether red, yellow, or green, can introduce a sweet and vibrant element.
Mushrooms: Sliced mushrooms add a rich, umami flavour to the broth.
Courgette: Dice courgette for a mild and slightly crisp texture.
Broccoli or Cauliflower Florets: Break apart broccoli or cauliflower into small florets for added texture and nutrients.
Remember to adjust the cooking time of the additional vegetables based on their density to ensure they are cooked to your liking. This flexibility allows you to tailor the soup to your preferences and make the most of seasonal produce. Enjoy experimenting with different vegetable combinations!
Batch Cook – Storage Information
Fridge: Allow the soup to cool to room temperature. Then, transfer it to an airtight container, making sure to seal it tightly. Place it in the refrigerator. Properly stored, it can be refrigerated for up to 3-4 days.
Reheat: When you’re ready to enjoy the soup again, reheat it on the hob over low to medium heat, stirring frequently until it’s heated through. Alternatively, you can use the microwave in short intervals, stirring in between, until it’s hot.
Freezer: Allow the soup to cool to room temperature. Then, transfer it to an airtight container or suitable bag, making sure to seal it tightly. Place it in the freezer. Properly stored, it can be frozen for up to 3-4 months. Allow to defrost overnight in the fridge before reheating.

大家好! CL, SC and I enjoyed a yummy buffet lunch. The spring roll in sweet chilli sauce, tamago with sakura shrimp and ebiko, pandan coconut rice, sweet and sour seabass as well as vegetarian dumplings were especially tasty. For beverage, I chose warm low-fat milk over coffee and tea although, if they had pu er cha (Pu Erh tea), I would've alternated between that and low-fat milk. Overall, it was a nice meal and we enjoyed ourselves.

Pa and I returned to the vegetarian diner we ate at a few weeks back. Instead of bento, Pa had herbal soup noodles and I chose angelica herb soup noodles with added vegetable dumplings. My dish came with vegetarian 'mutton', konjac 'prawns', tau pok (tofu skin puffs), carrot, lettuce and Chinese tea mushrooms, which are much like tea eggs. Also, I'm avoiding Mike Chen's videos for awhile; he makes noodles look even more delicious than they already are and the craving he triggered this time is insatiable! To be fair, he's great and I have nothing against him; he's just too good at promoting food 😅

Besides rotating plant and animal proteins for meals at home, I have vegetarian food weekly when dining out, sometimes twice a week. Colourful vegetable dishes look so attractive, I wanna order them all! I've come to appreciate how our unpretentious, homely hawker fare relies purely on the freshness of ingredients to create their vibrant - and, very importantly, incredibly delicious - offerings. The end result: equally aesthetic and tasty meals as 'artistically plated' ones for those of us who eat moderately healthy AND, it's proudly ours. Contrasting textures, at once complementary and complex flavours, and food that embraces diners with familiarity like a warm cuddle at home, hawker food embodies all of it.
Tumblr media
Whether it's moderately healthy or plant-based meals, our vibrant local scene has risen to the challenge. Brown rice is boring, dry and hard to people like me, but our hawkers offer fluffy and moist unpolished rice congee that is so yummy, as a hardcore white rice enthusiast (for now, add noodle enthusiast), I willingly eat it once or twice a week. If we want fish or veggie variety, all we have to do is visit different food stalls. This can be fun, like a mini adventure, when we ditch the car on weekends and hop on public transport! Delicious nourishing food plus a fun mini adventure - sounds like a recipe for good health to me!
Tumblr media

Like people living in other Blue Zones, many of us here in Blue Zone 2.0 don't buy into the hype surrounding 'superfoods'. To us, it's done to drive up prices so that we all pay premiums for something that might just be marginally more nutritious (or maybe not at all) and make a few people very rich. What we have is equally good, very nourishing foods, such as pomfret, which has the highest level of Omega 3 amongst all fish (see the article in my previous post), as well as a variety of veggies that offer a wide range of benefits. As long as we make the effort to eat moderately healthy with what we have, we'll continue to do just fine. 下次见!

Top 10 foods for fitness
Tumblr media
What are the top 10 foods for fitness?
1. Cow’s milk
Tumblr media
By Thealthiest Web Desk: With hydrating water, muscle-healing protein, refueling sugar, and bone-healthy calcium, milk is an excellent choice for those who are increasing their level of physical activity. Thanks to its slow-digesting casein and ability to support sleep-inducing melatonin, a glass of tepid milk before bedtime may also help you fade off and get the rest you need.
Fitness benefits
Chocolate milk has always been an endurance athlete favorite. It may sound deleterious, but it contains the two essential constituents you need after a workout: carbohydrates for energy and protein for muscle repair. A fruit beverage or fruit smoothie prepared at home will also suffice.
Recipes to try
Super berry smoothie Cranberry and raspberry smoothie Avocado and strawberry smoothie
2. Dried fruit
Tumblr media
Dried fruits (such as apricots, raisins, and mango) provide a concentrated source of carbohydrates, which makes them an excellent source of energy. Every bite will also provide you with dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals, including potassium.
Fitness benefits
If you can't tolerate energy gels, dried fruit is a wonderful natural alternative because it is rich in carbohydrates that provide energy. Aim for one to two servings prior to a race and two to three servings per hour of running. (one serving is roughly three dried figs).
As with all consumables, competitors should experiment with dehydrated fruit during training and not on the day of the competition.
Recipes to try
Dried fruit energy nuggets Choc orange energy boosters Energy balls
3. Broccoli (and other green veg)
Tumblr media
Broccoli, kale, spinach, and green cabbage are among the most nutrient-dense foods you'll discover. They contain antioxidants that combat free radicals, fiber that aids in digestion, and an army of vitamins and minerals. They are also an excellent source of folate, which is believed to be beneficial for cardiac health and for women who are trying to conceive.
Fitness benefits
When it comes to bone-building calcium, plant-based foods like broccoli and kale are a healthful alternative to dairy products. Low calcium levels make you more susceptible to stress fractures, especially if you participate in endurance athletics; therefore, make sure you consume enough calcium – the NHS recommends 700mg per day for adults.
Recipes to try
Ginger, sesame, chilli prawn & broccoli stir-fry Chicken, kale & mushroom pot pie Creamy garlic & lemon spinach salmon
4. Sweet potatoes
Tumblr media
Sweet potatoes are versatile, provide disease-fighting beta-carotene, iron, fiber, and vitamin C, and count as one of your daily five servings. They may be pureed, baked, or prepared as paté.
Fitness benefits
Sweet potatoes are an excellent supplement to a carb-loading diet, particularly before a half marathon. In addition, they are rich in the electrolyte potassium, which can help prevent cramping during exercise.
Recipes to try
Sweet potato & peanut curry Crispy cod wedges with sweet potato wedges
5. Bananas
Tumblr media
Bananas are the ideal fitness food because they are small, portable, easy to digest, and loaded with nutrients. Don't discard the skin so quickly, however, as Taiwanese dietitians discovered that it contains not only more potassium, but also mood-boosting serotonin and eye-protecting lutein. Try the entire banana, including the rind, in a smoothie.
Fitness benefits
Bananas contain slightly more energy than other fruits, but the majority of their calories come from carbohydrates, making them ideal for refueling before, during, and after exercise. In addition, they are loaded with potassium, which may prevent muscle spasms during exercise.
Recipes to try
Mango & banana smoothie Malt loaf with banana & honey Peanut butter & banana on toast

Also, exchanging of gifts in Britain distinguish the wonderful season of Christmas. The main course is the focal point of this festive feast. A meal that has come to represent the spirit of Christmas. Come with us as we explore the history of Christmas Day - Royston dinner staples in Britain and the customs that surround them.
Tumblr media
Christmas Day - Royston
The Festive Main Course: Christmas Day - Royston
Roast Turkey
In Britain, the magnificent roast turkey is the unrivalled star of Christmas dinner. When turkeys were brought to England in the 16th century, this tradition began. Still, the turkey didn't firmly establish itself as the festive table centrepiece until the nineteenth century. Turkey became even more synonymous with Christmas in Charles Dickens's masterpiece. "A Christmas Carol," where it was immortalised as the centrepiece of the Cratchit family's joyous feast.
Beyond Turkey: Options Abound
Even though roast turkey is the best, the British have an excellent choice of options for people who like variety. As an example of the type of flavours found on Christmas dinners, roast goose, duck, or juicy beef frequently make an appearance. Adding depths of tradition to the holiday table, each choice carries its own history and regional significance.
Royal Complements:
The main course of any Christmas meal isn't complete without the accompaniments that round out the meal. The scrumptiousness of stuffing, the crunch of roast potatoes, and the rainbow of colours from the Brussels sprouts, carrots, and parsnips all come together in perfect harmony. INTRO
Phad Thai is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as street food and at most restaurants in Thailand as part of the country's cuisine. It is typically made with rice noodles, chicken, beef or tofu, peanuts, a scrambled egg, and bean sprouts, among other vegetables. (Wikipedia)

LET'S COOK
STEP 1 Prepare the Tamarind Thai Sauce (watch recipe and the video accessible from here below) STEP 2 Prepare the Phad Thai sauce adding the sugar, fish sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, and paprika into the Tamarind Thai sauce and mixing well STEP 3 Soak the dry noodles in lukewarm or room temperature water while preparing the other ingredients (the noodles should be flexible but not mushy) STEP 4 Cut the tofu into a one-inch long matchstick. You can fry the tofu separately until golden brown and hard or you can fry with other ingredients below STEP 5 Cut the spring onions into one inch long pieces. Set aside a few fresh spring onions for a garnish STEP 6 Rinse the bean sprouts with cold water. Divide them into 3 parts (half to cook with the noodles, ¼ to cook at the end, and ¼ to add fresh as garnish) STEP 7 Prepare the shallots cutting into small pieces (brunoise cut) STEP 8 Place the wok to eat up with a high flame and add the oil STEP 9 Add shallot, prawns, preserved Chinese radish, dried shrimps, tofu and stir them until they start to brown STEP 10 The noodles should be flexible but not expanded at this point. Blanch the noodles in boiling water for a few seconds STEP 11 Add the noodles and the bean sprouts to the wok and stir quickly to keep things from sticking STEP 12 Add the Phad Thai Sauce (the heat should remain high, as you will see a lot of juice in the wok at this point) STEP 13 Make room for the egg by pushing all noodles to the side of the wok. Crack the egg onto the wok and scramble it until it is almost all cooked STEP 14 Fold the egg into the noodles (The noodles should soft and chewy) STEP 15 Taste that the flavor is right balanced between sourness and sweetness. If not add soy sauce or sugar accordingly STEP 16 Then the flavor is right to add the spring onions and the bean sprouts, then mix all the ingredient together for a minute (adjust adding water or stock if is too dry) STEP 18 The noodles should be soft, dry, and very tangled. Pour onto the serving plate and sprinkle peanuts. Serve a wedge of lime on the side, raw onion, and raw bean sprouts on top STEP 19 Traditionally in Thailand, condiments such as sugar, fish sauce, vinegar, chilli flakes, extra bean sprouts, and peanuts are available on the side.
