glazed terracotta!! it's so aesthetically pleasing and you can get it in nice patterns and build. the coolest fucking floor ever.

on the other hand, yellow wool. I've been in the hypixel bedwars trenches for a while now and yellow is my favourite colour + wool is the most inexpensive material to build bridges with in bedwars (16 blocks of wool cost 4 iron ingots), while the most expensive blocks are of course obsidian (4 blocks cost 4 emeralds, and you need at least 8 blocks to cover the bed)

Most people in my day-to-day life have no idea that I have DID. The ones that do know, I told them.

Nobody has ever come to the conclusion on their own (aside from professionals) that I have DID, because frankly most people know nothing about it outside of the name.

My peers see me as a high-functioning hermit. I do what needs to be done (career-wise, socially, etc) then disappear to recharge. I’m labeled as a little odd, eccentric, quirky— all kind ways of saying “we can tell there’s something wrong with you, we just don’t know what”.

I’ve lost friends because of my DID, except they didn’t know that’s what it was. In their eyes I was unreliable, forgetful (interpreted as uncaring by them), I changed my mind too often, I never knew what I wanted. All symptoms of DID and yet never taken as such.

My point is, I feel like the ideas of overt versus covert DID are misconstrued in online system spaces. It’s not necessarily overt means people know you have DID and covert means they don’t. A lot of it is overt means the DID symptoms are noticeable (from the outside looking in), covert means they’re not so noticeable.

Being a trauma survivor doesn't excuse poor behavior. It doesn't excuse lying about other people to get back at them. It doesn't excuse vitriol directed towards an entire demographic of people.

As an abuse survivor myself, some of y'all need to get the fuck offline and heal your issues before they become someone else's. Syscourse isn't an effective coping or healing strategy when it's just posting about how much you hate people who are just living their lives.

I'm getting closer and closer to believing that pluralphobia is a unique form of ableism that should be referred to as such, because a couple of systems causing issues in your server doesn't mean you ban all plurality-related discussion. It's infuriating. Plurality deserves to be talked about just as much as any other thing about a person.

I wanted to badly to put up a fight about the ass-backwards logic there, if gay people started fights in your server, would you ban all sexuality-related discussion? No. To refuse to take a stance for a marginalized community and put a stop to infighting by just banning the topic of plurality altogether is infuriating. It is a fucking shame that I need to stay in this server for tech support and community purposes for a game otherwise I would've started hitting people.

Been rotating this post in my mind all day, but only now found the energy to make it. It’s been a long, long day, and I’m in a lot of physical pain.

So, why don’t we have a silly break together?
