Hey there! What is a good way to learn the human anatomy? I'm.. Struggling :')

I mentioned in a previous ask but I think advice is best served when it’s catered. I don’t know what skill level you’re at or what you’re hoping to achieve but most of time, you really can just “fake” it to feel right. If your style is simpler, you’re allowed to simplify!

For me personally I got an anatomy roadblock a few years back and the answer was very boring for me… I was at the point where I had to understand how the body worked under the skin and where all the bones and muscle were. Here’s what I did to learn that in addition to doing more figure drawings. I really had to take myself back to classes and boring stuff to improve.

Another important skill is to be self critical and catch what trends and mistakes you’re making often to hone in on them. In my case, I understood the general shape of everything but not how everything connected on the body itself. That’s just a critique looking back!

If you’re looking for more personal advice feel free to send me your art or dm me but I can only provide as much info as the level of drawing I’m on! I’m still learning myself!!

9. When they sit side by side, do they touch one another? For example, does one person has their arm around the other, do they sit holding hands, or linked arms, ECT.

WELL I MEAN IT IS ERRORMARE. So yeah. When they first met, there was barely any touching as Error is haphephobic, despite passive Nightmare being fairly touch starved (ok, but in my headcanons, um. Yeah not really, it’s very controversial… people would pretty much hate me if I posted it XD). After Nightmare corrupted they became a sort of destructive buddies and bonded further and all that weird ship backstory. So yeah, after they had been together for a while, there was more ship stuff like, um, handholding??? Bro I don’t know. When they’re sitting on the couch beside each other, Nightmare is never the one to initiate any form of physical contact, as that’s up to Error, but as his tentacles aren much of a trigger, he will offer them to be cuddled or held or something.

14. Who would make a playlist for the other person? What would be featured on the playlist?

YEAH ERROR IS DEFINITELY MAKING THE PLAYLISTS NO DOUBT. Considering that Nightmare basically grew up in a village with minimal technological influence around him, and Error grew up in my headcanon place called the Creatorverse (ASK ME ABOUT IT. It comes my very traumatic backstory for Error) which was much more technologically advanced than Nightmare’s puny village. SO, considering that Error had much more experience with computery stuff, I’ll give that to him. Ok, so I tried writing what Error would put on the playlist, but I have no idea what it would be. I’ve never made a playlist for someone else before, so I have no idea how it works. It might have something to do with violin covers of songs Nightmare likes??? Those are very good, 10/10 highly recommend.

Last year I did too much and I kinda lost the motivation to write very much after that so my plan is that this year I'll do the same thing but somehow regain it. It's a foolproof plan I'm sure

last year i didn't write anything because i had written my mona lisa masterpiece over a year beforehand and couldn't bring myself to be creative again. then i got really really into snowpiercer for like a week and it brought all the creativity back and i wrote like 4 fics in 4 days summing up to like 50k. then i immediately lost all the creativity because i drained it in one go

the clown kitten pics made me incredibly sad for a couple of days. couldn't sleep. had to redraw him happy in my notebook to calm down a little. i hope little fella gets all the smiles and laughs and ice creams he deserves, hope it gets better

Midnight (darkest hour of night), Mal (evil/bad in French), Nala/Nali (somewhat means dead person), Blake (dark/black), Armaros (cursed), Pennylynn (thread/web), Raven (it's a dark bird-) and Severance (the end of something, like a life hehehe).

Hope these help! I tried to be original and give you names that sorta relate back to darkness since both Error and Nightmare are considered "evil".

17. What fic are you most proud of?

Oooh that's a little tough depending on how you think of pride but I have to say An Internet Hug From You, my widojest zoom uni AU. I honestly don't know how well it holds up now, but it's the one I put the most feeling into. It's my longest fic by wordcount, I worked on it the longest, and it contains references to as many canon moments as I could manage, plus some very specific pulls from my own experience with attending university during covid. As a finished product it's probably not my top pick, but it represents a lot that I'm proud of myself for, and is a very good time capsule of that period for me. Also, I was (and am) extremely proud of how I got the chapter titles to work.

Saw your analysis of White Rose on one of those polls where it was asking who is endgame and I agree so hard. It makes sense for them to be together. So, what is your most favorite white rose moment of all time? It can be from the movies, books, or show

There's a lot I really, really like, but this is gonna be a weird one. The scene where Winter is introduced to Ruby.

She's like did you make friends, and Weiss is like well there's Ruby who is a dork.

Winter's response? How appropriately underwhelming.

It sounds like a downer on the surface but this is Winter. The member of her family who knows Weiss best. This means Weiss has been writing or talking to Winter about Ruby and talking her up and Winter knows how Weiss gets when she's talking up stuff so Winter will approve.

If Weiss didn't care for Ruby well at this point she's hardly nice weiss so she would and has had 0 issue saying so. If she thought Ruby was annoying, and didn't want to be around her she wouldn't have even offered her as a friend.

Winter's response is basically 'this is how Weiss acts when she's talking up something she wants me to like' and as such she gives her version of approval.

Winter is a specialist. She's trained to read people. Ruby for as talented as she is, is not trained in how to hide tells.

Winter looks at Ruby and instantly knows why Weiss is her friend or maybe more yeah? Ruby is perhaps unseemly, completely the opposite of the refined culture of Atlas, has seemingly almost no social awareness or customers training...but...

She's genuine. She's clearly kind, and caring, and it's very obvious if Weiss is willing to spend time with her, she doesn't care about her family name.

After Weiss grandfather died and Winter left she knows Weiss has had precious few genuine people in her life who care about her for her and not for her name or what they can gain.

Ruby isn't asking to borrow lien for stuff or asking Weiss to get it for her. She asks for Weiss to hang out with her sure, but that's because she cares about Weiss and not anything else.

So Winter sees all of this in her goofy interaction and gives her the 'thank you for taking an interest in my sister'. Something I notice she doesn't really give out to anyone else of her 'friends'.

I think Winter saw the potential for more and in her own way wanted to encourage it.

Weiss knows Winter's approval, such as it is, is precious and important so she'll keep at it, and Ruby is happy her friends family likes her.

I don't know if that's weird as a Whiterose moment but it's always held a special place in my heart.

There's always her calling Weiss her wife too if you wanted a short one where Weiss starts blushing uncontrollably.
