The show really hits you with the fact that Annabeth is the head counselor for the Athena cabin. Like, obviously she’s been there for a long time, but none of her older siblings are more fit for the job? How many others who are more experienced and older have already ventured off on deadly quests, never to return? Just how much death and tragedy has this girl witnessed at camp?

Even if we ignore the potential intermingling of the web or any other other spooky strings that are likely being pulled, there's a lot to unpack here.

I wouldn't say Sam "deserved" it, but Alice tried warning him for months. This is what he gets for sticking his nose in places it didn't belong.

Did I say the same thing about Jon in TMA? Yes and no. Obviously there isn't a story without someone doing something dumb, but I think Jon's situation and Sam's situation are a little different. Jon was an idiot, yes, but he (and everyone else around him) were forced to go in completely blind. He had no idea what he was doing and didn't have any warnings or help at all except from his creepy boss with ulterior motives.

Sam also went in blind, but he was warned several times by several people including the eldritch computer to stop and turn around. He could have avoided this if he just returned Alice's calls or looked at her messages.

But nooooo he had to poke around with his little crushy crush and get himself thrown into a portal to what we can only assume is the TMA universe. Serves him right.

Another TMI: medical edition

So for the past... week... or so... I've been dealing with. Truly awful pussy ache. Going to the bathroom is often, sudden, and nightmarish

But it fluctuated, so when Ferry kept telling me to go to urgent care, I was just like "nah it's fine, I'll just flush it out with water and cranberry"

Narrator: it was not fine

So I finally went last night, told them I probably have a UTI, and not two minutes after I gave my sample the doctor came back like "yeah it's a UTI"

Picking up antibiotics later, for now I've got AZO, liners, and vagisil 💀

Well first thing to know is she is AWFUL!!!! HORRIBLE PERSON!!! WORLDS WORST WOMAN!!!!! Also apart of my ninjago villain AU

She’s kind of like….a crime boss, basically. Big in literal human (and other species) trafficking if thats any perspective on her awfulness. She’s reaaal selfish, lives by her desires and what gets her further and more. You could not pay her to be loyal to a single person, like ever. She runs gambling spots and bars and fighting rings (her favorite), and works with Kai. I have no idea where she came from to be honest, but it doesn’t matter, because it certainly doesn’t matter to her.

She’s strategic in who she maintains ‘positive’ relationships with, like with Kai he has a lot of power and resources so she keeps a kind of winners-bond with him.

I don’t actually know where her scar is from LMAO, I imagine she got it because she fucked the WRONGG person over. She also gets her arm ripped off later for the very same reason. I haven’t drawn her with it yet but she gets a gold-prosthetic.

With her relationship to Nya, I think it’s initially just her trying to squeeze in tight with someone as powerful as Nya. Get on the serpents good side, but she VERY quickly is shown that she is not going to fool Nya, and she won’t get what she wants from her. Not really. I think it interests her though, someone who is able to resist her and powerful enough to not be threatened by it. She wants to crack her, i doubt she sees Nya as a full person. There’s a thrill in batting and playing with something that can so easily bite you in half. Wen Xia is an adrenaline junkie.
