rumi

a few months after the movie rumi starts to fall back into her workaholic tendencies

she got sick from the stress of maintaining the new honmoon

she loses her voice and she’s terrified that her patterns are affecting her voice again which causes her to panic and get even more sick

she tries to hide it but mira and zoey catch it immediately

zoey and mira have to drag rumi to bed and get some rest

zoey suggests the tonic doctor again which mira shuts down very quickly

this ends up with zoey and mira cuddling and falling asleep with rumi bc that’s the only way to get her to stay in bed

she usually doesn't get sick like the flu or the cold but she has terrible luck with food poisoning

usually she just camps out in her bathroom with a ton of pedialite and granola bars right by her

rumi walked in with some medicine from the store where she found zoey passed out in her bathtub with a ton of blankets and pillows. rumi scoops her up bridal style and brings her to bed.

zoey always feels really bad when mira or rumi have to get her stuff bc she always feels like she burdening them or being too much

rumi and mira have to coax her out of the bathroom with chicken noodle soup like a stray cat with a can of tuna

mira makes sure that she actually showers and brushes her teeth before she goes to bed. mira ends up brushing her hair until zoey falls asleep

the second she feels a little cough she is making it everyone’s problem

she’s curled up on the couch with a comically large ice pack on her head in a nest of blankets

mira sleeps for like 20 hours straight when she’s sick. when she actually does wake up she wakes up to a really nice meal that rumi and zoey cooked. (personally i think that mira is the cook of the group so that meal was certainly a challenge)

OK, fair warning to the few people I actually managed to convince to try the game??

Rain world does NOT play like hollow knight, and you'll get your butt kicked if you approach it like that.

It's really hard. Like, really hard. Instead of the game literally giving you abilities in the form of power-ups and damage buffs, the only abilities you gain is from what you learn and your own ingenuity. You're a rat from beginning to end. If you just beef your way through it, it's gonna suck and you're gonna be confused and frustrated all the time. But if you pay attention, take it slow, and learn how the ai works and how everything interacts with each other, you can consistently get through and dominate situations you thought were impossible to do so when you first began. Now get out there, kill some lizards, and bully some old computers!

Guys, are there any fictional characters you know a lot of people in the fandom are simping for but you’re just kind of indifferent in regards to your own personal attraction to them? I recently had a chat with a good acquaintance of mine who is also a big anime fan and here are the examples that I gave her for characters I just don’t feel attracted to though I may enjoy writing about them on this blog. This new series has so many things to get me hooked and it’s already becoming one of my favorites with just one episode. Crow and Uni also have such a fun dynamic, I love them so so much. Our listener has been through the horrors and I can’t wait to see what that entails !

How would Cryptid Eclipse suddenly found their Y/N turned into a 'Mothman' (somehow. Maybe like werewolf situation but Mothman)?

Oh, this is fascinating! Perhaps the little hunter received a bite or scratch, a small injury that they've received dozens of times before and watched heal and turn into a scar, and maybe there's a symptom or two but they brush it aside despite their sweetie's complaint. It's nothing that they don't make a tiny note of in their book. Y/N researched beforehand about the potential of the cryptid infecting a human and transforming them into something monstrous, but it's not a werewolf, so there's no need to worry. It'll heal. They're a little feverish but it'll pass. Don't worry, sweetie.

It could be very scary at first. If Eclipse, say, after returning from a little midnight hearty snack, finds a mothman creature in Y/N's bed where their little hunter just was, red glowing eyes round and staring back, Eclipse is going to attack.

Eclipse is furious and blinded by rage and panic for Y/N but strangely, the creature flapping and thrashing over the quilts has the same heartbeat as their little hunter. They keep squawking at Eclipse, calling them by name. The cryptid looks terrified and bewildered, too. It just doesn't make sense until Eclipse stops attacking long enough to hear the beast cry out "Sweetie, it's me!"

Then Eclipse stop, their claws around the fluff of their throat, and ask "Heart?"

Eclipse helps them sit up and stare at them, their body covered in tiny pine green and cream colored scales and their wings are large and angled, decorated in great patterns of mud brown with piercing green eyespots.

You're still their heart, freaking out and trying to make your wings stop knocking into the walls of the airstream while simultaneously trying to grab your book to jot everything down. Eclipse decides they can make one except for the mothman creature they so despise—because it's you.

Jinu lore dropping all the stuff about the demons and how their guilt/shame is what traps them to Gwi-ma has fascinating implications. Like...are the demons who seem more inhuman/feral the demons who started taking something like pride in their shame, pride in the fact that they were a demon, keeping them demonic and warping their features? Does Gwi-ma go around like Hawkmoth spreading his little akumas and speaking to people's greatest desires and then basically telling them how actually they should be cancelled after a while? Gaslighting king, I guess. Did Rumi's mom marry a demon or was he, like, someone who was peaking in his life because of Gwima, so she unknowingly married a demon and then just died - did she even know Rumi was part-demon? If those marks are a symbol of Gwi-ma's hold over a person but Rumi just has them, does that mean she has a secret shame or is it like a self-perpetuating cycle where her marks are her shame?

So many implications....

She did that shit again with Hunter.

Hating a character this much should be consodered parasocial. Lily's vendetta against Hunter becomes very clear here.

And that's not the worst of it.

Ah yes, humiliating the (underaged!) character you despise by imagining them as a selfish sexual partner who doesn't have stamina in bed.

That's totally normal and healthy.

Lily knew she couldn't get away with comissioning another piece where her oc beat up and humiliated a character because people were taking note and Hunter is a. a minor, and b. a victim of physical and emotional abuse.

So she did the next best thing.

Day 7: Free Day/AU

Future!AU for what the guys could hypothetically look like in BL4 (fingers crossed!), but with a couple personal headcanons sprinkled in for good measure

We're finally at the finish line! It's been such a fun ride seeing all the content everyone came up with and being able to participate ;)

One of my few disappointments about Bad Batch season 3 when first watching it was how Tech's death and the aftermath is handled - namely, that his death doesn't seem to really have much impact on his family (besides creating some inconvenience when it comes to decryption). I couldn't help but think that if the season had included even just one moment of the squad (more specifically the brothers, not just Omega) actually honoring Tech, it would have not only helped drive home once and for all how important Tech was to them, but also provided some desperately needed closure and catharsis for this clone family that had already suffered so much (and, incidentally, provided some closure for the audience, too). This is especially important considering that the Batch's actions in season 3, especially at the beginning, are likely informed by Omega's capture as much as by Tech's death - and while Omega's rescue should be of utmost importance, it ends up seeming to sideline Tech's sacrifice in the narrative.

After rewatching, my view has shifted slightly, though I still firmly believe the show should have included at least one scene - even if it was at the end of the finale - of the brothers acknowledging Tech's influence and honoring him.

- Echo's story is the least impacted by Tech's death: he wanted to stay in the fight before Tech died, and he did so afterwards. He looks sadly at the empty pilot seat in "Plan 99," and he name drops Tech once in season 3. I can understand Echo having this reaction, though: unlike the other Bad Batch members, he has lost brothers before and therefore likely knows how to adjust more quickly. (You know what would have provided a nice contrast between how Echo and the rest of the squad handles the death? A moment to honor Tech: for example, a scene at any point in season 3 where Echo mentions a memory of him.)

- Hunter's decision to finally retire on Pabu comes before Omega is captured, and therefore must have been determined primarily by the loss of Tech. All through seasons 1 and 2, Hunter's desire to keep his squad and Omega safe eventually evolved to wanting to give Omega a childhood away from fighting and war, but even then he still hedged on settling down permanently on Pabu (see: the discussion between Hunter and Shep in "Turning Point"). It wasn't until after losing Tech that Hunter abruptly made the decision that it was time to stop being soldiers... And given that we never see Hunter actually interact with Tech's goggles in season 3 or mention him by name even once, I'm not convinced Hunter ever really got over the loss of his brother, even as he (very in character for him) focused on more pressing matters by (often recklessly) charging onward to ensure Omega's safety. (You know what would have tied off this plot thread nicely? A moment to honor Tech: for example, a brief scene at the end of the show where Hunter acknowledges that Tech's sacrifice made their life on Pabu possible.)

- Wrecker cries over Tech in the season 2 finale, alludes to him twice and mentions him by name once; and honestly, as little as this is, it is enough to convince me that Wrecker is and always will be grieved by Tech's death but has emotionally processed it and come to terms with it, much like Echo. His development seems to be driven more by being the last man standing between Hunter and a reckless demise, rather than being driven by the loss of Tech specifically, but... nuance. (You know what would have given us a point of comparison regarding how different people process loss in different ways? A moment to honor Tech: for example, maybe Wrecker joins Omega in honoring Tech at the impromptu memorial and insists on his other brothers joining them.)

- Crosshair's redemption in season 3 is largely driven by Omega. Looking back on season 3, I am increasingly convinced that Crosshair felt immense guilt and blamed himself for Tech's death, and therefore he avoided the subject. His "let me go on a suicide mission because I deserve it" speech in the finale only confirms my opinion on this. I guess Crosshair being partially driven by guilt over Tech's loss is one way of showing Tech's impact on his family, but I don't find it a satisfying note to end the show on. (You know what would have concluded this plot point perfectly? ... You already know what I'm going to say.)

Loving the fact that all this happened within such a short time span, and that fans basically saw the Saja Boys come out of nowhere and then just disappear without a trace within a few weeks, HUNTR/X get divorced and then reunited (with Rumi showing up with some sick new tattoos in the meantime) in the span of a day, and them actually killing demonic versions of this new male idol group, not to mention the fact that there's probably someone in the police investigations department tearing their heads over all the missing persons cases.
