Never ever EVER buy household appliances with ai in them. Most ridiculous things I’ve ever encountered
#to be clear i did not buy one but had to use one to do a load of laundry (who needs ai in a laundry machine??) and let me tell you it was#useless.#first the thing apparently ‘senses the dirty ness of your clothes to calculate the wash cycle’ which then would only ever decide to do a#cycle that took 4. freaking. hours. never have i encountered a washer that takes longer than an hour to wash your clothes.#and without the ability to manually say you want it to be a specific time? makes no sense. who has that kind of time in their day.#NEXT we go to dry the clothes and it also wants to run it for an insane amount of time. so we click it anyways (horrible decision)#and think oh we’ll just open it halfway through#well. upon stopping the cycle halfway through the damn thing says that the door is locked because it’s ‘too hot.’#never have i seen something that thinks i’m going to burn myself on my hot clothes. like cmon#also cause opening the door would be a surefire way to cool the clothes down you’d think??#so we try all sorts of troubleshooting things and even unplugging it and it STILL WOULDNT UNLOCK.#the damn thing is still locked btw. dunno if ill ever get those clothes back#so glad this at least isn’t actually a dryer we spent money on and just one that was here while we’re traveling and need to do laundry#but like. cmon#there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to decide how long to wash our clothes for and instead let a ‘smart’ (hint: it’s not smart) machine#do it for us#(hint part 2: this isn’t just about the clothes)#soni rambles#more like soni RANTS#i was already angry about the idea of ai in appliances but experiencing first hand how bad they are makes me even more angry#and a little scared for the future#now it’s 2am and the laundry is still stuck and im too upset to go to sleep. gah#and i don’t get mad easily.#oh and did i mention that to dry your clothes it wouldn’t let you select a temperature?? that it only said it would sense it itself??#see i like to dry all my clothes on low heat cause ive had a history of them shrinking#so not only are they trapped in the machine but it’s ‘too hot’ because it wouldn’t let us select a lower temperature.#luckily i didn’t put anything in that’s a material that usually shrinks

#making an automatic watering system w arduino#have it flashed to trigger the relays already for a variable amt of time#which at the end of the day is basically all it takes + scheduling#but now ofc its growing its own potential spinoffs...#i wanna add a BLE module to be able to control the scheduling from like a phone#which will then also require some minimal data storage...#then the big question is rly how to power it...#its probably gonna b within an extension cord length from the back door but dont wanna deal w unplugging it for rain etc#so maybe like a weatherproof case w solar & a battery? but then ive gotta figure out the best way of battery-izing it....#lithium seems like an overkill unless its like maybe lifepo#& generally prefer lifepo over cobalt etc for safety#but then ive gotta figure out how to add a charging circuit to it....#anyway then once i have the app controlling scheduling i can also start integrating it into my home organizing/etc app?#& ideally be able to like have a couple nodes like that?#ah fuck also gotta figure out a case#maybe just start w a nice n dirty project box til i eventually make a custom enclosure/PCB backplate for the assemblage#maybe just put it next to our sprinkler box & just make the tubes longer so i dont have to fuck around w batteries for this?#starting to convince myself of that idea tbh#rn the relayboard has 4 guys...might b better to just have this as the master instead of having nodes so just get more relays#centralize & dont have to deal w synching headaches#maybe get like a multiplexer? not like this would necessarily need multiple at a time 1 at a time wouldnt b the end of the world#& i have some cheap moisture sensors but dont rly trust em tbh#esp w plants i intend to eat#eventually tho maybe link some sensors into the system#tho weather alone is probably enough to figure out#oh! huh how would i do that....#dont wanna have a whole ass wifi connection on the arduino#or like parsing web results on there...#& i dont rly wanna only know when connecting to my phone...#so that seems to point towards some client that checks the weather prediction like once a day & sends that/consequences to arduino?

potential homelessness era being over is so epic. do you have any idea how much shit i've avoided fixing or doing or changing in the house (FOR A YEAR.) just because i'd think "what if we have to sell all of this." and i'd get depressed. even if we end up selling this one at least it's not us being FORCED to sell it to pay medical debts to a hospital my dad DIED IN. this is so epic. oh my god.

somehow out of my four ruikasa posts i managed to add bus-chan to half of them sooo
this was bound to happen. anyways. i have here. a wondershow-ified bus-chan because yeah. (i showed the whole outfit sketch to a close artist friend of mine, they were like. "yeah, just take the most jirai kei girl you can find. put them in decora fashion, the brightest most colorful style known ta MANZ.")
okay im done stalling here's the only sketch i drew of her in this outfit i drew up
i didnt draw the eyes or mouth cuz well. i drew those hands without a reference. i don't draw anime eyes a lot. im lazy and tired eave me alone.
anyways for the outfit!
- a butt ton of (colorful bright) hairclips
- same old bus-chan hairstyle
- choker with angel wings lined in gold
- top referencing shuuten no saki ft. M E G A B O W
- holographic arm warmers
- belt with the shuuten no saki xxx + bunny + wallet chain (just a regular old metal one)
- triple layer purple skirt i guess (texture and color may be subject to change)
- drippy rainbow leg warmers (with fishnet tights underneath)
- and finally. platform shoes with two bows, a mega but not M E G A bow on the front and a small ribbon on the back (you know. where the little loopy is to help you slip the shoe on)

if you're asking about what's going to happen to ruikasa with the addition of bus-chan... better keep that question to yourself i haven't figured that side out yet

After nearly 10 years, im upgrading my phone, and it’s bumming me out because I realized I have to update the tumblr app. Nooooo.
#i still don’t have polls on my phone because I haven’t updated to get around some tumblr stupidity#i always use to wait forever to update so all the other users would like set off the spring traps of app update nonsense for me#my sibling was so annoyed by my old phone not working that together with my parent they pooled together the finances to get me one lmao#i can’t take pictures or videos if my phone is unplugged. and I can’t use it for anything other than checking the time if its less than 70%#and messages crashes my phone about half the times I try to open it#other than that it worked great!

I've been waiting for three weeks for a tiny hdmi "extension" cord (it's like,,, less than a foot long i think) to arrive and it finally did today so now I can work on digital art again >:3
(needed the cord to keep plugged into my laptop so I can plug and unplug my hdmi devices into the other end of the cord rather than the laptop port!! that way if any port gets damaged, it'll be the cord's and not my laptop's, so it'll be a MUUUCH less expensive replacement fhdkdl)
ANYWAYS. I'm going to try to work on digitizing some art so i can add colour and fix any wonky lines and whatnot YIPPEE !!

So! Update on my SWTOR woes! I figure putting it in the main tag makes it so everyone that helped me sees it. Thank you everyone for your advice! I was so nervous about asking and you guys are so cool!
I'm planning on just doing Voss and Corellia for now to keep from burning out! This is like attempt three at me making a Jedi Knight because I wanted her to be my Outlander and then I'd freeze up and panic because I wanted it to be "perfect" but y'know what? Perfect's overrated anyway, this is supposed to be fun! I'll keep the other planetary storylines on the backburner in case I need to level up any further, but since I hit level 50 before I was out of chapter one and I thiiiink I hit 54 last night finishing Maelstrom Prison, I don't think I need to worry about my level being too low for a while. 🤣🤣🤣
(side note—thank you so much @greyias I GOT THE STUPID WHATSHISFACE COLONEL GUY WITH THE EYEBEAMS FINALLY 🤣 I do not know why I didn't think of using those crates as a shield before, I am so dumb :P)
