You've both known each other since childhood. How? Both of you belong from an exorcist family. 'To bring two well known exorcist clans together' is what your family said and engaged you to the eldest son of the minamoto clan, Teru Minamoto.

You both are not much different surprisingly, mostly focusing on your duties as an exorcist. The marriage thing didn't affect you much because you knew you can never win against your parents, you just accept your fate.

The more time you spend with teru the more you both understood each other on deeper levels, now that you're both 2nd years at Kamome academy it's harder for you to communicate at school. He's always busy with student council stuff or dealing with his fangirls. Not that you mind, you're focused on exorcist work like your family told you to do. 'There's no time for love'

You just wanted visit him after he was injured badly in the Far Shore saving Kou, which you during that moment, without second thought jumped to action, making you also injured. This was highly unlikely of you but you're still an exorcist after all and you care alot about Kou.

He was helding your hands on top of your head, pinning you more on the wall.

"What did I tell you..?" He asked harshly, seeming agitated yet concerned.

Your eyes widened in shock, letting out a small gasp, "what..."

His glare doesn't soften as he tightens his grip on your wrist, "Don't act so dumbfounded. You know exactly what I'm talking about." He's angry. You can tell by his tone, glare but also his firm grip on your wrists.

"I'm just doing my job as an exorcist..."

He scoffs, not amused. "Your job as an exorcist is also to be careful. Not running in recklessly without thinking!"

His firmness doesn't soften, he's too angry with you for your own "reckless" action. He's not wrong though..even tho you're an exorcist you take absolutely no care of yourself. And he's 100% sure you were so focused on your duties you didn't even check your wound from earlier.

"...I won't do it again..." You look away hoping he would let go off your wrists already, it was painful but bearable. You realise how your actions were indeed reckless but you didn't want to agrue with him because he was right.

"Yeah right."

He huffed before he finally let go of your wrists, still seemed pissed. He sighed before his tone soften, knowing that you are still injured as well. He spoke a bit softer this time.

"..You need to get treated now. Come on."

He holds your hand tightly as he led you to a room. Once the both of you entered the room, he closed the door behind and let go of your hand before walking over to a drawer.

As he was looking through the drawer, he spoke, "Sit down."

Silently obeying him, you sat down slowly rolling down your socks to expose the cut on your leg. He looked over, seeing the cut as he closed the drawer and walked over, sitting down infront of you. Grabbing a small towel, a cloth and bottle filled with liquid from the nearby table he gave you a quick look and spoke, "..This might sting a bit. But I need to clean the wound."

"Ok..." you observed as he started treating the cut, flinching and hissing in between. He stayed silent other than the occasional glance at you whenever you hissed in pain, but he continues to focus on cleaning the wound with the cloth.

After he was done, he grabbed the bottle of liquid, pouring a bit on the towel. "..This will sting. Try to stay still as possible."

Feeling the stinging sensation, you close your eyes shut, a bead of tear coming out of one of your eyes. He took notice of the tear before he gently wiped some of the tear away with his finger.

"..Almost done."

He spoke softly as he continued using the towel on the wound. He's more softspoken when it's about you.

"..."

"I'll be more careful next time..." He stopped as he was wrapping your leg in bandages, his demeanor softened greatly as he looked at you with a soft smile. "You better. I'll make sure of that."

He spoke softly, no longer holding onto anger. He looked quite tired, the expression on his face showing that he didn't get much sleep. Was he that worried about you?

"K.." as he bandaged the cut you stared at his hair and had a sudden urge to run your fingers through it. It looked soft and fluffy, you've always wondered how it felt even as a kid. And so, your hand unconsciously moved on its own, lost in your thoughts, to ruffle his hair gently. His breath hitched as you suddenly moved your hand to ruffle his hair gently, his eyes widen before he quickly grabbed your wrist to stop.

He stared at you, his expression seemed stunned. Surprised that you would do that, but he was also flustered from the unexpected action. "Ah- sorry...I didn't realise..." He let go of your wrist, his cheeks a bit flushed as he averted his gaze. He seems flustered, trying to remain his composure.

"..Don't apologize.. I just...didn't expect that."

The last part was quiet, almost sounding like a murmur as he still tried to avoid looking directly at you.

"..."

He finally finished bandaging your cut after a few awkward seconds. "Thank you.."

Taking a glance at the bandaged cut, he seemed satisfied that it was done well. "Mhm..just don't try to do anything reckless."

He still looked a bit tired,letting out a quiet sigh, he got up from the floor and sat down on the bed nearby. "Do you want to sleep? You look tired, you haven't rested ever since we returned from the far shore..."

Teru was about to protest, before he let out another sigh as he nodded in agreement.

"Yeah..I haven't had a proper sleep in days.."

He looked at you, noticing your expression before patting on the bed beside him, signalling you to come beside him.

Glancing at the space he patted, you slowly crawled towards it and lay down. He watched you as you sat down on the bed before he lay down next to you, resting his head on the pillow. He closed his eyes as he let out a tired sigh, before he looked at you through half-lidded eyes.

After staring at the ceiling for a while, you close your eyes and finally doze off.

As you laid down and closed your eyes, he looked at you for a while before silently shifting closer to you. Carefully pulling you gently to him, his arms wrapping around you before he rested his chin atop your head.He closed his eyes, feeling the warmth of you against him. His expression softened as he held you close, feeling relieved.

It was silence for a moment, before Teru spoke in a soft whisper,

"Idiot..don't you ever scare me like that again.."

The golden hues of the setting sun spilled through Kamome Academy's windows, casting long shadows on the marbled floors. Students fill the halls with their chatter, providing a background noise for the quiet atmosphere in the student council room.

Teru's hands rustle through the rough pages of the stapled papers, the rustling pages filled his ears as he reached for the yellow colored highlighter, opening it with a soft click. A quiet humn left his lips, the printed words and numbers brighten in a shade of yellow. The steady scratching of pens filled the quiet room, his movements stopping as the door opens with a creak.

Familiar footsteps reach his ears bringing a smile on his lips, his shoulder relaxing as he slumps on his chair.

"Is that the budget file?" Disbelief drips from your voice as you got closer to the 6'2" council president, teru did not look up as he continues to flip through the file. "Didn't I told you to stay away from it and take a break for a while?" Your brows furrow as you place your hand in his, snatching the file away from his sight before he could protest.

Your actions elicit a gentle chuckle from him. His hands wrap on your arm, tugging you lightly as he faces you.

"You were busy. Wouldn't it make me a bad boyfriend if I don't lessen the burden of my girlfriend?" He grinned, resting his cheek against his palm and tilting his head. You shook your head, you dragged a chair beside him, the wooden legs screeching against the floor before halting in place.

You sat down on the oaked chair, putting your bag on the table and snatching the pen and highlighter from his grasp.

His eyes focused on you, fingers drumming against the table lazily as he observed for a bit. "My girlfriend is so harsh to me." A pout replaces his grin, faking sadness for pity. "Don't I deserve a reward for my hard work?" You huffed, halting your movements as you looked at him. "Ignoring my orders to rest doesn't exactly earn you a reward does it?" You tilt your head, daring him to defend himself.

Light laughter escapes his lips, his hands reaching to rustle your hair before putting his arms up in mock surrender. You bit your lips, fighting back a smile from his actions before returning your focus to the file Infront of you.

An idea sparked in your head. Unzipping your bag, you reached inside and pulled out a familiar lightweight book. You double-checked the cover—its exaggerated art and fancy font confirming it was the right one. With a satisfied smile, you slid the book to Teru.

He raised a brow. "What is this?"

"In the meantime, why don't you read my favourite book?" Your hands slip on the front page, opening it. "Tell me which character do you think has the most romance tension afterwards." His fingers graze the rough texture of the book, pulling it close to him, he lazily goes through the pages. His movements come to a halt as something slips out—a small bookmark.

He picks it up carefully as if it were fragile glass that could chatter with a single touch. The bookmark was a miniature version of him holding a banner that reads: Happy Reading~

Shaking his head, laughter escaping his lips, warmth blooming in his chest. "You're really something."

The room becomes quiet, filled only by the flipping of papers, the scratch of pens and faint gliding of highlighter.

You sat back, exhaling deeply. The banana scent of the highlighter lingering as you pop the lid back on, the scent soothing your nerves. Stretching your arms above your head—you look towards the direction of teru.

His brows furrowed as he blinked, flipping to the last page, lips pressed in a firm line.

'he looks so serious..' your arms fell to your side, lightly gripping the edge of your seat as you take in the sight of him.

"I like the friends of each respective leads." He speaks, breaking the silence between you.

"Huh?" You blinked, caught off guard.

Then it hits you—you had asked him for his thoughts earlier. Warmth crept on your cheeks as he shuts the book with a thump.

Teru slides the book near you, hands making contact with the edge of your seat and tugging you closer with a knowing look in his eyes.

"They balanced eachother." He muses, continuing his dialogue. "He's responsible yet has to maintain a mask, she's a bit chaotic but she's just being her." Teru knowingly looks at you with a smile. "They know how communicate well and help the leads develop a good relationship." You cleared your throat, taking in the information that he gives to you.

Realisation dawns on you, a grin appearing on your lips.

"Doesn't that sound familiar?" You playfully replied, his eyes widening for a fraction before it reverts back. This time, you could see that his eyes seems to have a different glint.

"You're right." He copies your grin, hands reaching to rustle your hair. Hopefully you couldn't hear the loud thumping of his heart from your words.

"You should reward your poor, overworked boyfriend who's been abandoned by his 'oh-so-dedicated' significant other." His arms reach to your waist, pulling you close with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Lest I act up—and Akane or any stray superstition, will be on the receiving end of my anger." You rolled your eyes at his dramatics, sighing and hugging him.

Hanako was behind you, intently watching your every move. The moment you turn around and see him, you scream in fright, “Aaaah! A ghost! Begone, foul spirit!”

“Hey! It’s me!” he yells, dodging your playful punches. Grabbing your hands, he bends down to your level. “Ha-na-ko. That’s me!” he says, syllable by syllable as if you were a five-year-old.

You sigh, apologize, and continue baking. Now, Hanako isn’t hiding; he’s right in the way. “Get your hands off the frosting!” You swat his hand, then pop the cookies in the oven.

After a while, you pull out a batch of mouthwatering cookies. “Beautiful! Hanako, want to try one?”

“Sure.” He grabs a heart-shaped cookie, taking a bite. Oh my… THIS IS DELICIOUS! He reaches for another, and another. While he devours your treats, you can’t help but laugh at the crumbs all over him. He looks so funny. “What’s so funny?” the ghost asks, confused.

“Oh, nothing…” You grab a napkin and approach him. “You’re just so cute,” you say, wiping his cheek. His ears instantly turn red, and his pupils widen.

“What… WHAT?!” He recoils and floats up to collect himself. “Ah~ I get it!” the ghost says, coming down to you again. “You’re trying to seduce me? Yeah?~” He tilts his head, crossing his arms, and gets a slap.

“Hanako, you fool!” you shout, running out of the classroom.

“I messed up again…” the ghost whispers. “But at least I get to eat cookies!” He perks up immediately and dives back into the leftover goodies.

Teru Minamoto:

Ugh, he’s just stunning. That’s what every girl says (and not just the girls). Honestly, he’s so tired of these pesky fans, but he has to keep it together to maintain his cool facade.

You loved him. You really did, even though he can be harsh—especially towards the spirits.

You both are exorcists, tasked with ridding the world of evil. But it’s tough for you with such a soft and sensitive heart. It hurts when you have to send someone away, and it’s even worse when the person you love is yelling at you. “Y/N! What the hell are you dawdling for? Exorcise it, you fool!” shouts Minamoto, dodging another ghost’s attack.

The mission was a bust. Since then, Teru has stopped talking to you. He doesn’t even look your way. You couldn’t kill the spirit, and now both of you are injured.

“Hey, Y/N, are you free this weekend?” Lemon asked, catching you off guard while you were reading.

“Uh, yeah…”

“Awesome! Let’s hit the movies then?” He winked at you, offering tickets. “I’ll understand if you say no…” he added, turning away slightly to hide his blush.

“I’m in!” you responded too loudly. All eyes turned to you two; gossip would definitely spread through school.

Teru was walking down the nearly empty hallway, exchanging greetings and receiving compliments. But then he overheard two girls talking about you. “Can you believe it? She said yes!”

“No way! But I thought she liked Teru!”

“I don’t know, but that’s one less rival. Plus, she’s cuter with him than with Teru.”

“Who?” Teru suddenly interjected, approaching them.

“Ah! Minamoto-kun!”

“So, who’s looking good with whom?” he smiled nervously, trying to mask his growing anger.

“Well, Lemon invited Y/N to the movies…”

“And she said yes?” Teru clenched his teeth. The girls nodded and dashed away when the bell rang. Alone in the hallway, Teru punched the wall, leaving cracks and some blood from his knuckles. “Wow, little exorcist, look what you’re doing to me…” he muttered, glancing at the wall.

He waited for you at the gate, the rain pouring down like crazy. The exorcist had forgotten his umbrella at home. His younger brother would definitely lecture him later. To be honest, Teru didn’t know what to say. He had scolded you, ignored you, and now… what?

“T-Teru-san? Why are you standing here? You’ll get soaked,” your soft voice broke his thoughts. He hadn’t noticed you approach and looked up sharply, causing you to flinch. You stepped back, hiding your face under the umbrella. You regretted speaking up; he’d just scold you again.

“Don’t go on a date with Lemon.” You didn’t see that coming. He stepped in closer. You could see his shoes under the umbrella. Teru grabbed the umbrella’s wire and pulled it up, getting close enough to see the smoothness of his skin. “I… I’m sorry. Sorry I hurt you, but… Y/N, please don’t go… don’t go anywhere with Lemon or any other guys…”

“Teru… why? Why are you saying this? It’s just a friendly movie outing.” Your naive charm made him smile without realizing it.

“Just friendly, huh? Then I’m coming with you!” His expression brightened.

“What?”

“Well, it’s friendly, right?” You nodded. “Great! Let’s go together then.” Minamoto gently took your hand, his thumb grazing your soft skin.

“Y/N, I get it, but why’d you bring him along?” Lemon asked as Teru squeezed in next to you, sitting between you and the guy. “Hey, don’t shove, Minamoto-san.”

It turned out that Lemon decided to take you to a horror movie, thinking you’d find it thrilling. Not because he wanted you to get scared and cling to him—no. He noticed you’ve been off lately and figured this would lift your spirits. But Lemon definitely wasn’t expecting to see Teru tagging along. Not at all. It's not that he dislikes Minamoto; they just don't really talk, and Lemon feels a bit awkward around people he doesn’t know well.

You’re smiling now, though, as Teru whispers comments about the film. If you’re happy, then Lemon can deal with having Teru around. In fact, Lemon had already seen this flick, so it quickly bored him, and he dozed off.

“Minamoto-kun, be honest… why did you decide to come with me? I thought you weren’t into my company.”

“I don’t really know… and about what happened a couple of days ago…” he replied after a long pause. “I didn’t mean to upset you. You were just being reckless, and you could’ve gotten hurt. I don’t get why you show sympathy to those who can’t be brought back to life—those who kill for kicks.” Teru looked deep into your eyes. “You’re a puzzle to me, and it drives me nuts.” He sighed and tiredly closed his eyes. Right now, he hated himself; he loathed the contradictions swirling in his mind, even as he thought and spoke this way. He likes you, yet your mindset frustrates him.

“That’s... sweet.”

“Did you hear what I said? What’s sweet about it?” Teru was surprised, thinking his words sounded offensive again.

“It’s sweet that you’re trying to open up your feelings without quite figuring things out.” You smiled softly at him, and his heart raced so loud it felt like the other moviegoers must’ve heard it. “It’s nice that you trust me. But let’s talk about this after the movie—I’m sure we have a lot to discuss.” You redirected your gaze to the screen and rested your hands on the armrests. The screen's light illuminated your face, and at that moment, you appeared exceptionally beautiful to Teru. Without thinking, his hand found yours, gently squeezing it. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he turned to the uninteresting film. Feeling his shiver, you rested your head on his shoulder. It genuinely calmed Teru. At that moment, nothing else mattered: not the people, the spirits, or the rain outside. It was just the two of you. (And Lemon, who’d started snoring loudly, inevitably getting all three of you kicked out of the theater.)

Sometimes, Teru acted like a complete idiot, but for you, he was ready to change, to embrace his feelings, and to become a better person.

When you started seeing supernaturals you got scared.

Sure, some are cute like the Mokke, but... The rest?

Because all of them had rules and "buts" attached to them you were wary to believe them.

What if the price is high? what if to leave their boundary you need to hurt a friend?

But this fear did not happen with Hanako right away.

It would be because he was the first supernatural you ever saw.

The first one to tell you there was a price to pay for granting your wish.

You soon realized all of them had a "catch".

Thus becoming wary.

Hanako observed your interactions and at first he was glad you weren't easily fooled like Nene was.

But on the other hand, a little voice told him that also applied to him.

So, Hanako being Hanako, he kinda kept some informations from you on purpose - he thought that if he told you everything you would grow suspicious and hate him even more.

Well, he was wrong.

He ended up hurting you a lot more.

Because you trusted him. You believed in what he said because he saved you a thousand times. Because he was honest upfront about his price.

Alas, when you started noticing he didn't share somethings your heart broke.

You decided to confront him in the bathroom one day.

With a little scowl, you called for him, not chanting like you usually do. - chanting the Hanako-san, Hanako-san.

The boy thought some went south, especially because you were alone, no Nene or Kou with you.

So, when he appeared he was a bit worried and his voice sounded a bit urgent.

But when you puffed your cheeks and explained why you were there, confronting him about his secret keeping, his worry shifted gears.

Hanako tried to argue with you and reason that you hardly believed any of them - even Tsuchigomori-sensei sometimes.

At this point you had tears in your eyes.

You grabbed him by the collar, but couldn't speak much.

So soon you let go of him and that action made Hanako think things were a bit settled.

Until you asked a very strange thing:

Y/N: So... you say you hide things from me because you think i distrust you?

Hanako: ....

Y/N: ... I will show you... I... I will prove to you i have always by your side!

You dashed out of the bathroom.

Because of your emotional state, Hanako followed you suit, calling your name.

A million things crossed his mind of what you could do.

Piss off a supernatural? Get cursed? Enter a boundary? Or.... seek Tsukasa?

The boy was sweating cold when he realized you were headed to roof.

Nothing supernatural related was there...

When he caught up to you, you were poorly seated on the fence.

Hanako called out to you.

But as soon as you heard his voice, you turned to him, eyes puffy and red.

You just relaxed and let your weight go, falling off the roof.

In an instant you could see the hakujoudai coming towards you and disappearing out of your sight.

You squeezed your eyes shut, but you never fell to the ground - something was pushing you up and another something was holding your wrist.

When you opened your eyes, you saw Hanako.

He had tears in the corner of his eyes, he was panting and had mixture of worry, sadness and anger on his expression.

He managed to pull you up and you both sat there in silence for a moment.

You were both shaking, but soon Hanako blew up at you:

Hanako: W-what do you think you are doing?? You could have died!

Y/N:.. I, I told you i would prove it t-

Hanako: Dying proves nothing!

Y/N: You would at least mean i could be all the time with you!

Hanako gritted his teeth

Hanako: Dying doesn't mean you will become a supernatural!

You were in tears and sobbing

Y/N: I- I know! But ... you came to me! And this is my point.

Hanako fell silent for a moment.

Y/N: See? i trust you with my life...

The boy gritted his teeth once more, but this time to hold back tears. He closed the space between you two and gave you hug:

Hanako: Idiot... I will always be by your side.

Even though he was trying not to cry, a tear or to rolled down his cheek.

He wanted to tell you a lot more, but the words got stuck on his throat.

When you pulled away, Hanako dried your tears gently.

Placing his forehead agaisnt yours, he asked you to promise him to never do this kind of thing.

You said you would if he talked to you more, if he relied on you.

You both agreed to it.

It was an awkward way back to the bathroom and even more awkward when Nene show up with Kou.

But you two started to slowly build this bridge.

Valentine's Day Special: Envelope Prompt

Black hair, brown eyes, president of the volleyball club, member of the Student Council, in his second year just like you. That was the man you dedicated hours of your thoughts to. That was the man you had decided to write a letter to which you had meant to deliver to him personally on this day. An unexpected mergency meeting in your own club had wrecked those plans though and instead you had tasked one of your good friends to deliver the letter in your place.

Now you stood there, barely able to mask the shock as the boy who had received your letter walked over to you. He was handsome, yes. He was in his second year, yes. He was also a President of something in this school and a member of the Student's Council, yes. That's where the similarities already stopped though. Instead of black hair, he had blond hair. Blue eyes where chocolate-brown eyes should have been. Not the president of the volleyball club and not just a mere member of the Student's Council but the president of it. Perhaps it had been your fault for not just giving your friend the name of the boy this letter had been adressed to. Part of you wanted to be mad but the vague description you had given her fit him quite perfectly too.

Minamoto Teru.

You were sure that he had already received his fair share of letters and chocolates today as he was the school sweetheart of most girls here. Initially you had assumed that this would be why you would be able to dismiss this situation easily and explain the misunderstanding. It was that carefully concealed smile and the sparkle in his blue eyes that had the words dying on your tongue. He looked... happy that he had received a letter from you. You could only pray that this wouldn't be the case for otherwise everything would get awkward and uncomfortable very fast.

"Hey."

Oh god. He was bashful, wasn't he? Normally Teru was always a collected and calm individual. Now his voice carried that dooming undertone of sheepishness. Blue eyes that usually always managed to hold eye contact had to avert your gaze shortly as if he had to gather his nerves before they met your face once more. Most foreboding would have had to been the pink blush on his face.

This letter contained your entire sappy heart, secrets and thoughts you had never dared to voice out before. You had always kept it vague, far too vague though as otherwise you were sure none of this would have happened. You'd never been good in being direct. Now this would be your downfall, wouldn't it?

"I honestly didn't expect this letter from you. I... Well, I always thought that you didn't really feel for me that way. So when I received this envelope I was really, really happy."

This was all going in the wrong direction. You couldn't even look him in the eyes as he stepped closer, close enough that you could stare at his shoes all whilst trying to reign in the silent horror seeping through your veins. How were you supposed to undo the drama that you would undoubtedly happen?

Teru must have mistaken your inability to look at him as shyness. An assumption you couldn't have necessarily blamed him for.

"I'm honestly a bit ashamed that I didn't notice sooner and that you had to take the first step. But I'm still glad for this. Would you like to-"

He cleared his throat, causing your lips to purse into a thin line. It was the pure sincerity in his voice that was killing you brutally right now. You'd rather prefered if he would have just thrown the envelope in your face. This was Minamoto Teru though. A modern day prince who looked and behaved perfectly that part.

"Would you like to go out with me this weekend? Whatever you want to do, I'll be happy if I can just spend time with you."

Could some deity up there just have a hole swallow you please? Now all of his attention was on you, awaiting an answer you couldn't give him. At least not the answer he was expecting at least. Time was far too short though and within only moments your silence alerted the boy in front of you. One of his hands reached hesitantly out for yours, eyebrows furrowed as he observed you. When his fingers brushed against yours, your hand pulled away as if his mere touch was burning you.

"(l/n)?"

That was it. The way your name glid from his tongue, concerned and gentle, did it for you. That's when your lowered head lifted up to meet his gaze finally. You wondered just how tortured your expression must have looked in that moment as all the muscles in your face were pulled taught in a tormented grimace.

Those few seconds where he clearly didn't know what was wrong only added to the agony. You wondered if that would have been preferable though the moment there was finally that slow spark of realisation and his face just fell, muscles going slack with shock.

“This letter is for me, right? You made this all to confess to me didn’t you? …Didn’t you?”

There was the tiniest tremor in his voice as he repeated the last few words and took one step closer to you. Only for you to immediately erase the closeness by stepping back. Your face was burning but not with comfortable heat. Your stomach was churning and not erupting with those little butterflies you had hoped for.

Wrong person. He was the wrong person.

"You... you like someone else. That letter was meant for another boy in the Student's Council."

It was the shock that rendered him unable to take any actions initially as he just muttered those words out, blue eyes growing vacant as he glanced down at the envelope decorated with doddled hearts.

Still, despite the fact that your eyes were focused on his shoes you could still feel the moment those eyes landed on your figure again.

"For whom was this letter meant?"

The hair on your neck stood up. Gone was the previous bashful warmth to his voice. Now it had taken on a firmer edge and you were not able to unhear the tinge of bitterness. You would not tell him though. You just wanted to rip that letter out of his hands and go home. When you attempted to reach out for the envelope, you were shocked in an unpleasant way when Teru moved his hand away and held it out of your reach.

"Who is the boy you wrote this letter for, (l/n)?"

It sounded like he wasn't asking but was expecting an answer. An answer you could not give him though. Deciding that it was not worth it, you abandoned the letter and Teru altogether. You evaded the hand that shot out to hold you back just in time, feeling only the ghost of a touch as the tips of his fingers brushed over your arm before you dashed away as fast as your feet could carry you in that moment. Surprisingly enough he didn't follow you, a fear that you had initially held.

You didn't turn back, were too much of a coward as you feared the sight you could be potentially met with otherwise. Maybe that was for the best. Otherwise you would have witnessed how blue eyes glared at the envelope he had just minutes ago viewed so fondly. How his face grew contemplative for a few seconds before turning cold. How he started to rip it apart, tearing apart your confession for someone that wasn't him and threw it in the bin as he made his way back to school with a concealed expression hiding the ugly jealousy that now reared its head.

The prince wasn't as gentlemanly as he would appear after all.
