A Foolproof Guide to Theater Teacher Facebook Groups
Let’s be clear here. I’m here to help teachers. Generally, that means advising theater arts teachers, but it could also be Language Arts, Reading, Music and Social Studies teachers. However, I’ve guided elementary core subject teachers, too. This post focuses my foolproof guide to Facebook Groups.
Like many people, I’ve been on Facebook for several years. Actually, I don’t know how long, but…

fuck i need to be lighthearted abt the talent show thing now bc that shit is gonna make me cry
anyway i love ed being like “a talent show? really? that doesn’t sound like me” as if he didn’t turn his job of killing people and stealing their stuff, Boat Edition™ into avant-garde theatrical productions. didn’t come up with the idea to swap clothes with stede and go do a whole “identity swap” comedy bit in front of the whole crew after talking to stede for like ten minutes. as if he didn’t love gassing up the whole crew after their first fuckery. as if he didn’t make “leaving the cabin for the first time since he got back without stede” into a whole production complete with a backup musician.
babygirl a talent show sounds exactly like something you’d suggest. if there’s one thing i know about edward teach it’s that he loves to put on little performances and he loves it even more when other people get involved.

I do kind of enjoy the change in Kratos' vocabulary in the norse god of war games, because while a lot of his lines in the original games were pretty aggressive, and he wasn't exactly a conversationalist, he still spoke in that sort of dramatic theater style of speech. But in the norse games, he really doesn't speak much even when he's actively in a conversation with someone, and his choice of words is a lot simpler and direct imo
I'm not sure if it was intended by the developers, but I enjoy the idea that the reason Kratos doesn't speak as much or with as much flair as he did in the original series, is because he's speaking a different language and isn't nearly as fluent in it as he would like, hence his more straightforward and simple choice of words

At one point, Wife decided that in order to keep all her daughters alive and her wife sane, she will be the one to handle everything related to school (studying). As for fun activities, Cassandra can be involved and all but she must be kept away from homework, exams and grades.
But even that is not a fool proof solution because one time Cassandra did stop Adelina to ask her ‘you’re playing what in your class play?’ Because surely, she heard this wrong. Her daughter should be playing the lead role, not play an insignificant character that barely has a single line.
Later on, there have been changes and Adelina did get to play the lead role because if any of her children is doing any kind of theatrical performance it will be the lead role and nothing else.

OKAY so was looking at this tweet where someone counted all the ways that Izzy refers to Edward when addressing him directly (which is very cool!):
But with n=25, 4% describes exactly one instance. Meaning that Izzy only directly addresses Edward as “Blackbeard” once. And it’s after Edward feeds him his toe.

DC should bring back Barry's habit of playing dress up at every opportunity. Return him to his theater geek roots.

Stevie Ray Dallimore, an actor and teacher, had been running the theater program for a private boys’ school in Chattanooga for a decade, but he never faced a school year like this one.
A proposed production of “She Kills Monsters” at a neighboring girls’ school that would have included his students was rejected for gay content, he said. A “Shakespeare in Love” at the girls’ school that would have featured his boys was rejected because of cross-dressing. His school’s production of “Three Sisters,” the Chekhov classic, was rejected because it deals with adultery and there were concerns that some boys might play women, as they had in the past, he said.

A number of people have pointed out that Stede has pulled some good fuckeries in season 2-- retaking the Revenge in s2e3 and getting the crew + Zheng, Auntie, and Jackie back to the Revenge in s2e8.
Stede's been doing wee fuckeries since before he ever saw Ed's theater extravaganza at the beginning of s1e6, though! Tying a gagged DJenks to the dinghy in s1e1 and making him row back to the Navy ship with three coconut-headed dummies was a little fuckery, and it bought the crew enough time to escape.
Stede's improvisational attempt to retake the hostages from Izzy, Ivan, and Fang involves some targeted force (the rock that smacks Ivan in the face). But Stede makes the most of that brief distraction, getting his knife to the face of a much more accomplished fighter.
Add to Stede's quick reaction capitalizing on Izzy's lapse in attention
bluffing (of a sort that's so ridiculous it's plausible it's not bluffing);
the weirdest staredown ever;
testimony from both hostages that Stede is "quite insane" and "has the eyes of a madman";
and willingness to negotiate a compromise.
Stede regains a hostage basically by flummoxing and unsettling his opponents. I think we can call that a fuckery! And the last part of the plan is to run like hell back to the Revenge.
Lord help Stede if anyone in-universe ever figures out that his pattern is "do something deeply weird and then get the hell out of there." But it's worked really well for him and his crew so far!
