𝘌𝘭 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘧𝘰 - 𝘊𝘦𝘤𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘭𝘭 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
✨This one was not a pleasure read as I had to read it for a Literature Teaching class and it is the first graphic novel I have ever really read.
It is a sweet story about a hard of hearing girl trying to find her place in the world with friends and school while learning to live with her hearing aid.
✨ What I liked most was how fast I could finish this book and not realizing that I was done with it in about an hour. In comparison to the other novel I had to read for this class this was an enjoyment.

Not good enough...
Being under scrutiny is hard
Being told to constantly improve is difficult, the need to please is always there.
The classroom becomes a circus and you are the ring master. Fighting lions, pleasing an audience trying to perform the best you can. Trying to prove that you belong in the ring, that this is the thing you was born to do.
It's hard..
Going grey at 25 isn't usual I'm sure. The anxiety and awkwardness in life isn't normal right?
Trying to keep your head over water, whilst the weight of books, expectations and life is weighing you down.
I like swimming, can I not just float? Can I not let the sea take me away, somewhere I can stay.
The expectations I put on myself are proberly way more extreme than what is expected of me.
The want to educate someone, to fill someone up with kmowledge, to explore learning is something I trive. Seeing what you've taught come out independently with no push is something I enjoy. Being proud of the class youre in and others being proud of themselves.
But finding this within the forest of loneliness is hard..
Hopefully someone with a torch light can lead me out into the sunrise of happiness!
But I can get their on my own I'm sure.. Just need to light a fire to lead the way first.

September 6, 2018
I spent most of the morning thinking about what I wanted to do with my life. Do you ever think you know, like 100%, what you want to do when you grow up? At 9:00 this morning, I thought I did. Here I am four hours later and rethinking the entire hypothetical life I have built for myself. Would I be happy teaching math my whole life? Should I be a writer, or a motivational speaker, or change my specialty? How much do I have to pay for someone to make these decisions for me?
That’s where I have to stop and take a step back. I don’t care if my mind is running a mile a minute and all of a sudden I am looking up pay salaries for journalists and producers. I don’t care if all it takes is one comment about my most recent essay that makes me rethink my entire life. The last thing I want is for someone else to make that choice for me. That is how I started this whole college thing to begin with. I allowed my step mother to tell me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Thinking for myself was never something I had to do, so at first it came as a relief that someone knew what I would be perfect at.
I was to go to school for Occupational Therapy. I love kids and they make great money, so of course that’s what I should be. Thanks Melissa. But then, I wasn’t doing too great in my anatomy classes. Maybe I should think of something else. And by I, I mean Melissa. Well, let’s go into Marketing. You make good money at it and it is a broad enough field that I am sure to find work. Plus, let’s be honest, I won’t make it past an associate’s degree anyway so I might as well get it in business.
Then I left (more of that story to come) and I had to figure out for myself what I wanted to be. I guess the truth is that I am not 100% sure I want to be a math teacher. But I have time to figure that out on my own. I do, however, know that I am on the right path for me. That my be the only thing I am completely sure about, but it is the only thing I need right now. To be myself, keep my options open, and trust my gut.

𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘋𝘢𝘺 - 𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘥 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯
⭐⭐
✨ This one was not a pleasure read as I had to read it for a Literature Teaching class and even present on it.
At first I was intrigued and wanted to like it but the main character of A made it hard for me to get into the book after a while but I forced myself to finish it because of school and because I actually don’t like to DNF books, even if it was a thrifted one.
✨ I have only watched the trailer of the film as I usually try to wait a while to watch the movies when reading a book which has a film adaptation. Which way do you do it? Read the book and then watch the movie or watch the movie and then read the book? Or do you enjoy only reading the book and never watching the movie?

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF ONLINE LEARNING
Bad ConnectionTech FailureSkype/Zoom Connection IssuesOnline Teaching is Not Real TeachingStudent Easily DistractedNo Group Work
The only real benefit of online learning is convenience. It’s convenient for both student and teacher. Nobody has to leave their house. They can just login into Skype or join Zoom meeting and wait for the class to begin. There is no dress code. So, effectively, the student and teacher can take the class in their pajamas.
Benefits:
The main goal of the class is to learn how to learn, and there are multiple benefits of online learning:
1. Convenience
2. Use of a shared screen
3. Record and replay
4. Easily affordable
5. Teacher is available from anywhere in the world
Disadvantages
But when we take a look at the disadvantages of online teaching, there are also no less in number.
Some common disadvantage includes:
1. Skype/Zoom connection issues
2. Bad Internet connection
3. Student easily distracted
4. Tech failure
5. No understanding of the student
6. No group or teamwork
7. No colleagues
8. Online teaching is not real teaching
9. Teacher-student connections
10. The student doesn’t feel part of the class
Let’s try to look at each one in detail.
You could be halfway through explaining some important part of your lesson when you notice that nothing is moving for the last five seconds.
Yes, you can get reconnected. But it isn’t easy to carry on from where you left off. It’s time-consuming and irritating.
Another problem that you may encounter is a tech issue. It could be with your computer, the student’s computer or the software that the online school uses.
Skype and Zoom don’t always work correctly as there are some places where the connection with these apps can be very sketchy. You can lose connection here easily.
Online learning is merely facilitating. It can never replace real teaching. It sounds perfect especially in the times of pandemic. But it can never be a substitute of actual, live teaching.
There is no sense of real belonging, and as a result of a loss of connection, the student becomes easily distracted. If other students are also there in the online class, the soon teacher talks to any other student, the rest of students feels disconnected from the class.
There is no sense of group work in online teaching, and the purpose of learn how to learn is not fulfilled.
If you really want to learn how to learn then prefer classroom learning.
