A work in progress. Expect a lot of those for a while, I'm stuck in WIP hell rn. This one is technically from like a year ago but it's ongoing 😅 I keep coming back to it and progressing with it. The video will probably be pretty gnarly when it's done. This was originally just a study but now it's an exercise in how many times I can drop in and out of a piece without dying

if you ever go to an art gallery and you see a painting and you think "that sucks. I could do that." maybe you can! I think a lot of people could do like. Matisse. Mondrian. Rothko. From a technical standpoint at least. Not everyone but a good number of people. But please consider: Artists™ aren't special people. They're just people. Just regular folks with something to say and a trained skill who showed that skill to the right people.

So instead of being like "that sucks! that's dumb! I could do that. It shouldn't be in a gallery." instead try, "I could do that. I should be in a gallery." and then do it and go and show your art to people.

Out of every single relationship in the Whoniverse, whatever the Doctor and the Master have going on just hits different. Like a rock. I’m sure everyone feels this way about their fave Doctor ship, but my experience is that once you go Thoschei, you cannot go back. Given the narrative symmetry, character foiling, interwoven parallels, tragically dramatic irony, frustratingly unspeakable ambiguous romance that defies traditional ship canonization in the true chaotic spirit of Doctor Who, and a unique backstory setup that allows the characters to have history that other individuals cannot match, while fate (and the format of the show) pushes them together over and over again indefinitely, without hope of lasting reconnection lest the setup break, the Doctor and Master’s codependent anti-soulmate life or death partnership arguably (narratively) cheapens every other pairing beyond comparison. Their tragedy never leaves you. (And keeps you up at night)

I was just figuring out how to draw Berdly here AND BONUS!!! MY SCATTERED INSANE THOUGHTS ABOUT HIM LMAO. Plus! some silly drawing I did for a friend on Discord. I guess I'll just share them here (special points go to the ones that get what I'm referencing about in the last image, lol).

I don't think I'll yap much this time. I'll probably yap a lot in another post related to this.

There are a lot of things I find interesting about Dr. Sprat, but one of the biggest things that I can never help but notice every time I rewatch a scene he’s in is the fact that..

HIS RIGHT HAND IS NEVER IN FRAME.

At times, it can be a little hard to tell, based off the camera angle, but if you were to imagine yourself as Dr. Sprat, or if you were to flip the image, every single time, his right hand is not shown. It always just.. dangles there — for the most part — conveniently out of sight.

I’ve seen people wonder how Dr. Sprat and Elmer Walter Williams have been in the same scene, being that Elmer isn’t… real/living, per se, and the simple answer is that not only is his right hand out of frame, but so is his arm.

For further explanation, here is how I view/interpret the scenes with Dr. Sprat and Elmer, with a side-by-side of the original and my own edited version showing where his arm would be in each scene, represented by a red line.

Remember, this is based on Dr. Sprat’s angle, not the camera’s angle.

Admittedly, this second example kind of contradicts the whole “right-hand man” thing, given that it would actually be Dr. Sprat’s left hand this time. However, I do think it’s worth noting that shortly after this scene, we’re introduced to the idea that Dr. Sprat may not actually be the one in charge, serving more as Elmer’s right-hand man than vice versa. Still, his arm is out of frame.

There are so many things I love about this show, but little details like this just makes me love it even more. Hell, they even kept it up in promotional pictures before the season even came out (at least on YouTube).

guess who got STRAIGHT A'S FOR THEIR FINAL SEMESTERRRRRRRRRRRR

4.0 GPA FOR THE SEMESTER, BABYYYYYYYYYYY

this raised my overall GPA to a 3.12. which it's a little sad that i'd been struggling so much prior to this past year (from unmedicated adhd & having to work a fucking job while in school) bc i probably Could have had a really high overall GPA. this past year proved that i *can* be a good college student. but Oh Well. i can be proud of what i've accomplished in this past year at least. and i can be proud of going from academic probation a year ago to getting straight A's in my final semester of college. and managing to raise my GPA up to a 3.12. still an accomplishment!!!
