And here it is! My first fully completed Procreate Dreams animation. I used audio from one of Technoblade’s more famous rants during his Potato War series. I love Technoblade and miss him every day, so I hope that I was able to capture the magic of his energy in my animation.

I animated the roughs and drew the backgrounds in Procreate, but then I imported that into Dreams to do all the cleanup. It runs at 24 fps, but there’s a lot of variations to spice it up in there.

I wanted to really challenge myself so there’s a LOT going on in this short 9 second clip. There’s a camera move with multiple layers to achieve a subtle parallax scroll, there’s two lighting changes with one being a completely animated shadow layer, and there’s a warp effect on the curtains for when it opens and closes.

There’s still a lot that could be cleaned up. Some of the linework is a little more jittery than I would prefer, and the coloring process was awful. Every color was its own separate layer, which was exhausting to do. I really hope i can figure out a faster and easier way to do the coloring process because that took me over a week to complete! Yikes!

Overall I’m extremely proud of my work here. I’ve been working on this 9 second clip since Dreams released and I really wanted to showcase to everyone just how powerful Dreams is. I know a lot of people were complaining about it when it released and I wanted to do something to help reorient people’s expectations. I genuinely cannot believe that I did all of this on my iPad!

Several people here have mentioned some of the facts behind this question.

There were a few things happening.

One thing that happened was that Noxy was able to get in touch with Alex's mom, so Hypixel found out that way. They said they would keep quiet about the information until it was formally announced.

Another things was that there was a bit of communication over Discord among Techno, Phil, Tommy, and Wilbur. Alex told them how he was getting his last affairs in order and hanging out with his family. Tommy was discreet about what he included but having seen the full conversation, Techno made it clear he had only days left.

Finally, I got a call shortly after Alex died from Dream. (Charmingly, the first thing he did was try to explain to me who he was in relation to Alex, which of course I was already aware of.) One of the things I was dreading was the task of wanting to inform Alex's friends of his passing. This was at a time when I had close to zero idea how to use Discord. Dream offered to contact the people who should know, and I jumped at his offer.

So that's how some people came to find out before so long nerds.]

Tribute to the greatest youtuber and minecraft player to ever live; Technoblade.

Happy World Cancer Day! The drawing is a bit rushed, but I just wanted to post a tribute to Technoblade.

Technoblade was the person who would have enemies and turn them into friends. Allies. His jokes always made his viewers laugh, including me, even after a bad day. He's the type of creator who's content you'll get hooked to. You watch one video and then proceed to watch the rest. There will never be another like him.

February 4th is celebrated as World Cancer Day, and brings recognition to cancer. The yellow ribbon I included around the sword is the representation of the rare and deadly sarcoma, a cancer that affects fats, muscles, blood-vessels, bones, nerves and other connective tissues. I would heavily recommend doing your reasearch on cancer. We lost the Blood God to this disease, and he rests so that we can work to stop us from losing others. It is a deadly killing machine that looms over us at all times. We must fight back.

Techno is the prince of the Antarctic Empire/Kingdom who went to war instead of his older twin brother Wilbur.

Wilbur was afraid to go to war, but as Crown Prince he had to go...it was his duty, so they decided to switch places.

Will would pretend to be Techno and Techno would pretend to be Wilbur while they were at war...they hoped no one would notice but their parents did and tried to bring Techno back but to no avail.

So Wilbur ended up on the ground waiting for Techno to return.

But something happened and all the soldiers arrived except for Techno....

The royal family went into mourning as the war continued, Wilbur blamed himself for the "death" of his twin brother and vowed that he would take revenge.

As the war progressed, more men were recruited for the army and blacksmiths for weapons.

But there was one blacksmith in a distant city who refused to cooperate... and he had a son who looked a lot like Techno.

(Techno ended up buried in the snow and Sam or Simon (I haven't decided yet) finds him and brings him home to try to help him, Techno wakes up with no memories and quite a few sequels, but is a happy boy and hates that they are trying to force his father to go to war).

thinking about the person who said this in the comments of my song again

I am sad this song is so strongly tied to minecraft when it actually is telling a tale of vengeance to come. The song is bigger than being about a kid playing Minecraft. Because who cares about a game you can just stop playing if you don't like it. Maybe the writer of the song had to hide the larger intentions, or didn't realize they were channeling a higher spirit of vengeance. Because the dream that was supposed to end is the one we are living in. Think bigger, everyone.
