Haven is well known to be quiet and anti social , even when he forsnt want to. He lacks proper social skills because of his tendency to just follow orders, ending up being awkard around others as a result. While reserved, he surprisingly has this calm aura around him despite panicking most of the time. Hes a people pleaser at first , which causes him to get taken advantaged of by the elder scouts of the emperors coven, doing their chores and shifts to make a good impression.

Magic info:

Havens magical abilities are a result of his magic manifesting late into his early teens , unlike other witches who usually manifest theirs from - well, birth. This is why his magic is a darker color unlike the usual white glow most witches have. His magic is chaotic and unstable, its strong to the point that it can start rotting into a black goo like substance. Because of this, his eyes glow when using magic. You could say his powers hold a similaritues to both belos condition and artificial magic , as Haven cannot perform normal magic , and instead can do things similar to artificial magic at best.

Haven does not know how to use his magic properly due to its strength and sorta lack of expirience. Which is why whenver he uses his magic, it harms him, causing the ocassional blue nose bleed.

I usted to be a big yaoi fan, and ship a lot of male characters or people in general, then i had a bad expirience with a lateteen crush who claimed to be gay, but we had so much deep kissing and made a lot of sexual overtone stuff.

The thing is that he never wanted to have something more than that cuz "he gay" and i was pretty much in love. That distroy smth inside me and i coudnt enjoy yaoi as much as i did before. Even know a days it hits different (perhaps cuz is a very teen thing and im older, dk)

Thoughts about internalized homophobia in youth

Earlier today I was thinking about why so often kids and teens of even the most liberal beliefs adquire internalized homophobia in their teen years. Are they just insensitive? I really don't think so, Don't get me wrong almost everyone at that age is atleast partially an insensitive brat but I do not believe this is the reason for this so I came up with a theory based on my own expirience, It might be possible other people had have different expiriences and that my theory is not correct but I'd like to share anyways.

There is a high likelihood that the first gay person is a bitch.

Looking back at middle school I am almost sure that at-least 3 of my classmates where way however at the moment I was merely aware of one at that age (and even later in life) you don't pick up on stuff that isn't painfully obvious, hell the reason it took me so long to figure out im bi is not becouse of lack of evidence but mearly that I didn't act like "gay", the problem is that becouse of this fact the only people you will notice as gay or queer are the people who are absolute walking sterotypes, and (I might get some hate for saying this) but its perfectly reasonable to hate that personality. The main reason for my internalized homophobia back then is that the only person I knew as gay was this judgy brat who belittled me for my clothing choices and made uncomfortable unprompted advances at me that made my wildly uncomfortable and, atleast at my age tv wasn't any better. The only show I had watched at this point with any way characters was modern family and while I liked Mitchell I (and even to this day) ABSOLUTLY FUCKING LOATHE Cameron Tucker, and I firmly believe that is fine. The same way it is fine to be annoyed by the "Frat bro" Personality I firmly believe its acceptable to be annoyed by the "Gay Fruity Guy" Sterotype, there is nothing homophobic about finding a personality annoying, the problem is when this idea mutates into down right homophobia and that All queer people (and only queer people) share the annoying traits you hate, and afteward equating that towards a hatred of gay people in general. That is why I believe diverse representation is important.

Anyway I this wasn't completly uncomprehensible.

TL;DR the easiest people to recognize as gay are those who fit a very particular stereotype and often those people are assholes, hating gay people that are assholes is fine but often that can be internalized as hatred towards gay people which is not good.

• Who is their best friend?

I'll just say it right off the bat- Pavel doesn't have many friends, if any at all. None of the brothers have many close friends at first actually, that is in their early childhood. But as the other brothers do get their somewhat very close friends, Pavel sort of stays alone in that aspect. Untill the age of 11-12 he spends most of his time with his brothers, (because reasons I wont talk about now jsbdjd) and as he finally enters school he realises he doesn't know how to make friends. Since this is school, a place with a bunch of hormonal pre-teens, Pavels expirience isn't very pleasent. He has epilepsy (caused by severe stress in childhood I wont elaborate on) so he looks rather sickly and ridiculous under teen standards, plus his heritage which everyone knows about thanks to Grigory (fuck you dude) so he gets...bullied (He starts applying womans perfume and other stuff which doesnt help with the name calling at all but he grows to like it and decides to not give a fuck) He is also deemed as stupid, which he can't stand. He grows extremely bitter towards people and this continues on (not the bullying per-say, mostly the social distancing) untill he enters university, where he is sort of friends with Katerina but he views himself more of a tag-along sibling of Ivans, who visits Katerina a lot. Also, Ivan has a cat, Polina and they share a funny love-hate relationship but in the end they respect and might even love eachother <3

Only after he bolts out of college he meets Antoine on the literal streets who drags him into a whole another personal mess. Antoine has friends of his own who grow to like pavel quite a lot and Pavel basically gets adopted by a bunch of almost homeless university people who live the Raskolnikov lifestyle. Pavel is the rich guy amongst them, he teaches them ✨style✨. And they dont mind his constant rambling/complaining. That's around his age of 22-23, the canon timeline.

Also Antoine and Pavel are like, super huge gay just so you know yeah.

• How do they handle being complimented? 

Dude he will flip you off at first as if its nothing, play the cocky bastard or when caught unexpected, like if you compliment him and you are not Alyosha, good job, he is a bit flustered and stuttery now. (He looks very pretty when flustered, the rosy blush against his pale complexion is very gender). What he will always end up doing though, is repay you with a small favour, like taking care of your flowers, playing you a song with his guitar, simply conversing with you on your favorite topic etc.

He can't take being uncivil, he is a gentleman at heart, plus he always feels extreme grattitude and has the need to repay a tenfold because of his self-worth problems. (Its yet another thing he has in common with Alyosha). The most peculiar thing is that he would sometimes forget about a time someone complimented him, but still feel as if "yes! This person deserves a nice dish today or a gardening of flowers etc." because the grattitude is impaled somewhere in the back of his mind. He won't do this just for anyone though, if you are stranger who walks up to him saying "wow your hair looks great" he'd be all "why does this fucker think I dont know that already lmao"

• Are they very political?

I wouldn't say political on personal level, he just knows A LOT of political stuff, since he and Ivan like to have the most evil big brained discussions about God, politics, nature, and existence as a whole. They especially favour the subject of God and they do of course, almost always, mix political topics with the God ones. Pavel is neutral at first, whilst Ivan does have his few opinions, but this of course changes over time in the course of the story.

Seeing the talk about shipping names always brings me right back to fanfiction and how sexualized the whole expirience was for me. Like i got on ff when i was like 13-14 n i think i left when i was 17-18ish n kinda migrated to ao3. Like as a young teen just discovering sex amd sexuality that place was a dump. I remember sex coming up in every fanfiction (something i still encounter today and have A GRUDGE for, tl: you shpuld settle your arguments with talking not sex oh my god) n i remember writing sex into my fanfiction cuz i was under heavy impression thats how its supposed to go. 'Write something super angsty and edgy and then add a sex scene'.

Fuckin suprise im asexual actually which is why i viewd sex more as an ingridient than like...something thats supposed to be emotional lmao.

But ye shipping names always seemed to be a part of that n its honestly so dumb and outdated. Like if you have a headcanon for someones prefrence in bed fucking great for you but uhhh thats not personality n that doesnt really matter if you are writing anything that isnt porn. Newsflash 99% of the time what position a character likes to fuck in is 100% irrelevant. N its even stupider when people get rabid about their headcanons n start claiming they are right even tho the character sexual prefrences arent and will probs never be canon. Like i heard a person say that they said they headcanoned for tamaki to be a switch n someone got all rabid on them that tamaki is OBVIOUSLY a bottom. Like chill out who the fuck cares and really by saying it like that you just come off as stereotyping and fetishizing gay men by saying that a shy meek one has to be the bottom. Like personality has NOTHING to do with sexual prefrences and the way you present yourself in every day life can be very different from the way you present yourself in the bedroom.

But yeah, the position and personality based on the way you wrote the ship name was so stupid (surely with them being the same characters, personality would stay the goddamn same) and honestly it’s because of this that I have preference for certain characters because I’ve just been too burned in the past by having them change if they were any other way (looking at you, old drrr fandom and all the Izuo fics that turned Shizuo into a blushing, “girly” person :/).

As you said, personality should have nothing to do with what they like to be in bed and as shonen characters, that will never, ever be confirmed anyway because they weren’t exactly created with sex in mind so I don’t know why so many peoples pants get into a twist over them.

People need to chill and stop fetishizing gay relationships :/

The Problematic Elements of skam

(an essay no one asked for)

DISCLAIMER, this is my opinion, and i know not everyone is going to agree so im open to discussion in the comments as long as it is kept civil.

Often times, when a new season of a remake comes out or a new remake is announced, the first thing i notice is people saying what they wish is changed from the OG becuase its problematic, whether it is William’s behaviour, Isak and Even cheating on their girlfriends or Noorhelm breaking up among others.

and while i understand the sentiment, and share it to some degree, i think most of us have kind of missed the point of Skam when asking for this things.

The thing most of us liked about skam in the first place its how real it was, there was no over the top highschool drama, no dialogue no teenager would use, no ridiculous situations that wouldn’t happen in a million years irl, just the reality of what its like to be a teen, depicted on a tv show with an innovative format.

And seems to me sometimes ya’ll forget that teens in real life are also problematic, no one goes around life behaving like mother theresa all the time, making good decisions and not unnintentionaly hurting anybody, cause no one is perfect. And while a lot of the times there is a necessity for the mainstream media to depict healthy behaviour, we most also decide if we want a realistic show or just something where we push the characters just enough to take away from them their fundamental flaws.

the solution for this, in my opinion, is how the show handles the consecuenses and the actions pf the characters after the problematic thing is commited.

For William for example, this is better handled in Skam Italia, Edo and Ele follow pretty much the same storyline as Noorhelm, except in this remake, when they go on their date, you see Edoardo actually listening to Eleonora, he even says you are right, he absorbs what she says, admitts thing, and then also exposes his point of view to her, they are having a conversation where in the og, at least for me, it always felt like William was just waiting for her to finish so he could say what he thinked.

their relationship is once again fixed in the aftermath of the SA. The one thing that made me dispise season 2 on the OG was Noora falling to the floor after William found out what had happened, it was a very low point for her character and one she didn’t deserve, being there is the middle of the school yard screaming to be heard is something she shouldnt be doing cause she is the victim, and seeing how a lot of the times the victim is blamed for what happened to her in real life, it just made me hate the scene a lot more.

now, i know there are a lot of remakes that take this scene away, and i applaud them, but im going to continue to use Skam It cause its the one who follows the storyline more closely. and here they made two fundamental changes that while it still kept the problematic element of William walking away, it fixed the aftermath, and th.erefor, how the viewer interpreted his actions.

the best thing in my opinion is giving Eleonora power over her own story, but what really sold it for me is how they handle Edoardo. You can see in every scene he is in, he doesn’t hate her, he never once looks at her like she is less of what she was before, you just can see his struggle not to hold her and i have to appalud Giancarlo for the reunion scene, where William felt apatic and i just wanted to punch him Edoardo looked terrible, he admitted his mistake and his struggle not to do what he wanted to do out of fear of what could happen to Eleonora was tangible.

They ekpt the same problematic element, but framed it between the story in a way that the viewer both knows what he did is wrong, but can also redeem him beacuse of how is acts later on.

About their breakup in season 4, i think the worst thing about it it’s how it invaded Sana’s season. i think it’s pretty resonable for a couple of teens living together to have problems and make drastic decisition...but taking over a season was just....wow.

And finally...Evak cheating on their girlfriends.

cheating is never ok, ever, im not going to justify it in any way, but im also not going to suggest it gets taken away from the story. My main problem with this in the OG is how Even and Isak get away with hurting people just because both their girlfriends turn out to be shitty human beings, it was a smart move from Julie to make them that way, cause then we can justify Even and Isak not actually apologizing, but i would much rather have them be semi decent beings and Isak saying “im sorry for what i did to you, but this is who i am”.

In live people are never black or white, when it comes to morals and actions we are always different kinds of grey, and in that part of the Evak season i felt like there was clearly a white and a dark side and that’s how they got away with hurting this people without ever apologizing for it.

THEY DONT NEED TO APOLOGIZE FOR BEING GAY, ever. 

they just need to adknowledge their actions hurt people, unnintentionaly or not.

so basically my conclusion to this whole thing is that the problem with the problematic behaviour from some characters depicted in Skam its not the thing itself, but how the show frames it, and treats it.

if we want real life in film, we got to be prepared for our favorite characters to do bad things sometimes, and we also need to be prepared for them facing the consequences and learning to grow from the expirience,

My coming outs, ranked (and more)

I've been coming out for about 3 years to various people (found out I was bi on march 10th, 2016, and than later discovered I'm more pan)

Good ones:

1. This is my best coming out yet, and it was a coming out to my aunt (my mom's sister, about 34y/o, married with 2 kids)

It was August 2019, and we were together on a family trip. We had a long talk because it was Shabbat (our family are religous jews, so Shabbat is kinda boring) and we talked about a lot of stuff while walking around with her cute baby. We were finishing the talk because it was late, and we almost arrived at our rooms. And than-

Her: "I have something I wanted to ask you."

Me: "what?"

H: "one time.. I was at your room, and I saw a drawing.."

M: *shit*

H: "it was a boy, and it said something like.. 'I like my women like I like my coffee.. I don't like coffee'.

"I mean, I know you are straight, but like.."

M: "I'm not straight."

And than we talked about it for A WHILE, and she told me that she thinks she might be bi!

She always kind of liked girls, and than she had something with her sister's friend, and she was so scared because she was about to get married, and what if.. but everything was okay, and she is happily married, and a 30/70 bi girl, and this is great, and the best coming out I've had.

2. My coming out to my educator(s) (?) Who is my educator for about 4.5 years, and onlu found out I'm not straight THIS SUMMER.

So this year I really wanted to go to a Pride Parade, so I went with my friend to Jerusalem Pride, and we when we got back, we went straight to their house (my educators' house)

And than we hanged there for a while with a couple of friends, and when it got late, it was just me, the friend who went to pride with me, and my educators. And than-

Educator: "so why did you go to pride?"

Us: "we just wanted to."

(For the record, I was SURE he knew I'm pan, so the question was kind of odd to me)

E: "no, like.. is one of you a part of the Proud Community?" (In Isreal we call it Hakeila Hagea- The Proud Community)

My friend: "I'm not."

Me: "I am."

And then we had a big talk about it, and it was nice and it felt so clean and true and not awakward.

Those are my two favorit coming outs so far, but there are a couple of REALLY BAD ONES who have to be here:

1. My first coming out

It was to my friend, one who I was really close to at the time (and now we kind of grew apart)

I told her I have something important to tell her,but it was SO HARD TO SAY THE WORDS. I was in 7th grade and telling her I'm bi was just too hard. So I gave her a dictionay and told her the first letter was B, and when she finds it, I'll tell her.

I don't remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure Bi wasn't in thr dictionary, and I ended up telling her.

She hugged me and said she loves me or something, and that's it.

2. Another one that has to be here is my TERRIBLE coming out to my mom.

Even thinking about it makes me gag, so:

I was in 8th grade (bad, awaful timing tbh) and we talked about weddings, and I said about something about marrieng a woman, and ran to my room, and then we went to eat out with my family and she said she'd be happy if I broght a man home in the end, and I cried in the resturnt's toilet, and it was awaful and she was sure I was GAY, like, a TOTAL LESBIAN, because I told her I like woman and not that I'm pan, and everything was so bad.

3. My coming out to like, 5 of my friend during a spin the bottle game.

We played spin the bottle, like normal 8th graders, and of course we asked about crushes, because what else there is to ask about, and they found out I have a crush on someone from my school (most of us go to different schools). And that his name starts with ע (a/o) mostly.

So they started guessing.

And then:

My friend (the one that went to Pride with me!) Asked if it was a boy.

And I said no.

And then told them I'm bi, and who my crush is, and everything, and it was a pretty awakward coming out, and my third one, and yiks, middle school.

And then we have just a honorable mention, whice is a coming out to a friend from school:

I took her to the side and told her I was bi- peaceful and quiet, a nice coming out.

It was the end of 7th grade, and I had a big, huge sexual awakening- ON THAT FRIEND.

And then, about a week after my coming out, SHE CAME OUT TO ME AS BI.

And then I spent all of 8th grade with a huge crush on her.

And another one that is also nice:

A lil bit of backround- on July 1th, 2019, which is the start of the summer of this year, I got a side cut (shaved the side of my head) (left one if it matters to you)

Now, if you don't know, this haircut is really, really gay. A whole coming out of it's own.

Well anyway, at the start of August I met a guy. He's a whole different story, but the important part is that we became friends really fast, and we kissed after three days of talking.

When we ended our first kiss, I told him I'm bi (I kind of hate saying pan sometimes)

And he said: "I thought you might be."

And I said: "why?"

And he said: "honestly? The haircut."

And that's my memorable coming outs, I guess.

I think there is a good chance Victor was gay, or at least also interested in men, but I find it super annoying that 90% of this assumption is based on his quote: “I've heard or read about actors being asked the immortal question, 'Why have you never married?' They answer with the immortal excuse, 'I just haven't found the right girl.' Because I'm on the hefty side, no one's asked me yet. If they do, that's the answer I'll give. After all, if it was good enough for Monty Clift or Sal Mineo.” which you can find on his wikipedia page in the very short section about his personal life. 

First of all, we have no clue in which context it was said. I have found it in two books, neither give a context to whom and why he said it or which year. But one of the books was a collection of quotes where celebrities where shading other celebrities and there the quote was definitely intended as a witty comment on Sal Mineo’s and Monty Clift’s sexuality instead of actually being about Victor himself (the two actors are often called gay, even though they were most likely bi, at least that seems to be the consens nowaday). Also if you read interviews with Victor and know his sense of humor the quote feels more like one of his typical quips than a confession. 

And since he was never publicly out and even in interviews in the 70s implied he was attracted to women if doesn’t make much sense that he would make such a contradicting public statment that is meant to be taken seriously.

Again, there’s a good chance he was gay, I don’t deny that. One book says he openly lived together with a series of young men and that he was a playboy (but the book doesn’t get more specific than that and gives no source either and my expirience as a Marilyn Monroe fan makes me take this with a big grain of salt, it also contradicts what i know (that even close friends didn’t know he had partners or who they were and that most of the time close family members lived in his household, i guess it’s still possible though). Another book by a gay author mentions which gay bar Victor apparently liked but the author only says that he and Victor would often discuss movies and art there while having a drink, no further info on his dating habits.

There’s also a biography by someone who says he was friends with Victor for a decade (late 60s to late 70s) and that in all that time he never saw him dating or generally being romantically involved with anyone and that when Victor told him when he was 39 that he thought about coming out of the closet and the friend  responded basically with “good for you! i thought you were asexual at best”, it enraged Victor so much he threw him out of the house and ended their friendship. He then says he suspects Victor reacted like that because he was secretly in love with him. And tbh that sounds so wild and out of character I have a hard time believing that’s exactly what happened but that’s what he wrote.

So basically, there’s evidence when you search for it but that quote certainly ain’t none. And people seem to forget as so often that besides gay and straight people can be bi, pan or ace too.

Anyway, the evidence for him liking women is the vague statment that he was a playboy I saw echoed by older people a couple of times but without a source, his own words in several interviews and some people who say they knew him who claim he was straight. One even gave a name of his supposed last girlfriend which is a woman who I know was close to him and one family member called “his closest female friend” and you can only know that name when you actually are from Victor’s circles in San Diego so it sounds pretty believeable to me. 

His relatives who have posted about him online have also never referenced his sexual orientation (but they have watched his portrayal in Feud). His nephew only said that he had lived with Victor for several years in the 60s as a teen and implied that he didn’t witness any of his romantic life during his stay there. And I haven’t found any co-actor or confirmed friend of his who ever commented or questioned his sexual orientation, back in the 60/70s or now.

The book “You Ain't Heard Nothin' Yet: Interviews with Stars from Hollywood's Golden Era” has a nice interview with Victor in it and part of the afterword reads: “Buono never married and often gave whimsical answers when asked about it. Some sources say he was gay, but others say he liked women. Let’s just say that he didn’t seem bothered by the fact he never “got the girl” onscreen and draw our own conclusions about why.” 

Which tbh is my conclusion too from what I’ve read so far. Victor was certainly not publicly out as people seem to think now after watching Feud and it seems that if he was gay he wasn’t even out to people close to him. Which again, makes his Sal Mineo and Monty Clift quote probably a joke.

Eh... Playing devils advocate here and as someone who is also 22 but living with a bunch of 18/19 year olds (I’m the oldest I think or second oldest as I know there’s another girl who’s 22 too) I can say that their really isn’t that much different in our maturity. I have more life experience then them, sure, but at this age they’re old enough to go to university and choose the degree they’re studying, vote and drink (in the UK) so they’re not exactly immature either. I don’t think we should underestimate 18 year olds.

However, I know 18 year olds can also be dumb. There’s probably a reason fresher week exists and that’s to allow these dumb 18 year olds to have their first taste of what true freedom is like but still get to act immaturely before they have to buckle down for university.

And so I probably wouldn’t be too uncomfortable with an 18 year old dating someone who is 22 but I’d probably get more uncomfortable as that age gap rises because the difference in experience continues to increase. But still, as adults it’s up to them who they get to date, we’ve just got to trust and support them (and maybe be there for them if it does end badly).

But I’m personally really uncomfortable with romantic ships like Endhawks for more then just the age gap because as you said, with the age gap come the gap in life experience too. Also Endeavor, as Hawks hero, has a power dynamic over Hawks that I’m not necessarily comfortable with (especially with Endeavor’s past history of abuse, even if I don’t think he would be abusive towards him) too and usually it’s a power dynamic you see a lot in age gap relationships (the older person being more “mature” and so the younger should listen to them which can be a recipe for disaster if the older person turns out to be abusive).

Also... that book, I can see why it makes you uncomfortable. The 17 year old doesn’t sound mature enough to be in a relationship with anyone, really (waiting until you age so you can flirt with someone rather then actually maturing and becoming your own person... It just sets a bad image). It’s strange though, say they lost contact but met each other when the younger was 20/21 and the older was 26/27, I wouldn’t have an issue with their relationship. I guess because the younger has reached a point where they’re completely classed as an adult and have more life experience behind them which won’t be too different from their older partner.

But as you said, the book seemed to acknowledge that the 17 year old teen wasn’t mature enough for his partner and people also were against the relationship because of the age different. While it’s not technically wrong, it just doesn’t seem like a right or healthy relationship.

I’m sorry to hear it affected a friendship with someone though.

I am 48 years old, live in Los Angeles, have a clean driving record, no tickets or accidents in over 10 years. So I went to my neighborhood insurance broker a few weeks ago and he told me that the only way a person could get the minimum insurance required by the state of California, they would have to be at least 70+ years old, driving a 70's Buick, with a clean driving record. In 2005, as part of our divorce agreement, my ex and I decided to keep the same auto insurance but under separate policies. We had been with this company for years. My policy was on auto pay meaning that the payments were taken directly from my account. He walked in to pay his. About 6 months after the divorce, I was pulled over for a routine traffic stop and was told I was driving an uninsured vehicle. Without insurance, my registration was also invalid. Both tickets totaled 1K. My car was taken into impound. I checked and found the officer was correct. On good terms with my ex, I told him what happened. He said for the past 6 months, each time he went in to make a payment, the girl HIS was already paid. Realizing what had happened. They were applying my payments to his automobile. I was furious. I notified the agent who initially did not want to accept blame, but since the payments were automatic and my account number was on each payment they took, they were responsible. The error was compounded by the fact that the cancellation notice went to HIS address (how dumb was that!) So I had no way of knowing that I was cancelled. I was without a car for 2 weeks and lost my job. After much haggling and many sleepless nights of wondering what to do without a job or a car, the insurance company finally admitted blame, paid the impound fees of $1,250.00. The agent also said they would handle the 2 tickets totaling 1K. FAST FORWARD TO 2010 in my state, the county did a scofflaw sweep and I was summoned to court with over 5 thousand other delinquent drivers to address unpaid tickets. The order was come to court by April 30th or be arrested. Realizing this had to be a mistake, but fearful of the law, I stood in line for over 5 hours in blazing heat, then sat in court another 5 hours waiting for my day in court. I was immediately threatened with arrest because the 2 tickets were not paid. Up to that moment, I had no idea the insurance company had not paid the 2 tickets. This time, not only was my insurance and registration cancelled, my license was suspended due to the age of the infraction (5 years). In front of the judge, I called the agents' office only to be told by the secretary that they had no intention to pay the ticket. Paying to get the car out of impound was enough. When the judge heard this she was shocked and let me off with a promise to pay in 5 days. She made me promise not to drive. With no way to get home but drive, I took a chance, and was pulled over. The officer informed me that due to the vast number of outstanding cases, tags bearing our county name would be targeted for a while (talk about a police state!). I showed him my documents from the court and headed home. This is a nightmare. Would I have a case if I filed suit against my insurance company for failing in their fiduciary responsibility to a 16 year client in good standing? By the way this company is one of the largest in the country.""

Insurance co is saying my car is totalled?

I have an 11-yr old car with 106K miles that runs well. Last night I was rear-ended quite hard while waiting at a red light. Both the other driver and his insurance co immediately admitted liability. The damage to my car is pretty bad. I went to the auto body shop recommended by the other guy's insurance co - they told me the car will have to be totalled b/c it will cost more to repair than what the car is worth - he estimated the car is worth $2K and repairs will be at least $4K. So the insurance co is saying they'll give me a check for $2K and I have to get rid of the car (apparently that part is New York law). But I cannot buy another car - at least not one I'd trust to drive! - for $2K. The accident was completely NOT my fault - how can the insurance co not pay to repair it? Has this happened to anyone else out there? Is there anything I can do? I don't want to give up my car! :( Please help?

They have now inspected my car and decided it is beyond economical repair, but a garage I know can fix it for me! My Insurance company have asked that I send in my Vehicle Registration Document as well as the most recent MOT Test Certificate and also the Service History Book! They have told me they will value my car and then pay me the price they believe it to be worth, They will take the 350.00 excess from this also and then I can choose to buy my car back from them at whatever they value it to be!
