One project done. Another dice tray with a detachable tower.
Having to do some measurements before it's on my Etsy.
Have more photos to edit for another tower+tray combo and some trays.
------
Officially on my Etsy now.
A desert/canyon-themed tray and tower. Mostly light, when the tower isn't attached. Could set it on a shelf and use it as decoration!
The tower is detachable via Velcro. Velcro is to give the dice tower added stability. Sometimes dice may jump past the barrier depending on how they come out of the tower.
*Dice in photo not included.
The approximate size of the dice tower is: Length - 5.5 inch/13.97 cm Width - 7.5 in/19.05 cm Height - 10 inches/25.4 cm
The approximate size of the tray is: Length - 12 inch/30.48 cm Width - 11.25 in/28.575 cm Height - 3.75 inches/9.525 cm Height with tower - 13.75 inches/34.925 cm

WIP Whenever
So forever and a day ago the lovely @heniareth tagged me to share something I've been working on. I haven't been able to do much writing of late. Not to mention there has been an unfortunate - but hopefully temporary - hiccup in getting my last few pages of my prologue illustrated and ready for posting.
BUT!
I've recently picked up DMing for my tabletop friends and fallen neck deep in my latest love and/or hyper fixation; tabletop terrain crafting. So far I've made elevated terrain platforms (which will be dressed up with pieces to come) and a set of wall ruins. I'm currently making jail cell doors out of skewers, popsicle sticks and clay. Here's some progress and finished picks of the first two and in progress shots of the cell doors I'm working on now. 😊

As for tags back let's go with: @shivunin , @jinakadaisy , @siriskulk , @blarrghe , @raymurata , @jellydishes and you! (With no pressure ofc <3)

a terrain piece with a pathway going between short ledges and gnarled trees inspired by a Garth Williams Illustration from The Tall Book of Make-Believe.
made with foam board, xps foam, metal wire, rocks, flocking, dried dill, jute, and E-6000 (to make the trees and rocks look a little wet)
Here is the piece that inspire this terrain

Heres some of my early terrain crafting. I needed a gazebo for a town set I was working on. And decided to make Gazebo Mimic to scare my platers with someday.

Display board is done!
This build was mostly to test my terrain building chops and I think I did pretty well here, it definitely has made me want to build more terrain.
Very happy with how it all turned out, I think my favorite part is the Aquila and banding that I sculpted onto the big pipe on the right.
The other thing I'm really pleased with on this is the color choice. Some of my minis I'll look at afterwards and think "this isn't quite the right shade" or that I wish I'd picked something different, or mixed a color with different ratios. On this however I think I got everything spot on.

One day I was browsing DnD minis at a store with a friend and they observed how the Roper mini reminds them of a monstrous version of a Great Fairy (a la the bulbs from BOTW and TOTK). Obviously this meant I needed to make this real.
After painting the mini I set about crafting the base with cardboard, foam, and plenty of texturing paste. I tried to recreate all the beautiful flora from the Legend of Zelda games and even did my first pour with resin!
I documented the process in more details on my tiktok, and I'll be posting the final photos here soon!

I made this Old Owl well from the "Lost mines of Phandelver" for a group of friends, with whom we all just recently started to play D&D. Paper maps are fine, but playing on actual terrain is a whole different experience! Ok, maybe it's not. Maybe I just enjoy making tiny bushes.

Ritual Pool + The Guardian Lady of the Manor
I'M DONE I'M DONE I'M FINALLY DONE.
This is a battle map for tomorrow's D&D session; a subterranean chamber under an abandoned manor, where the vengeful spirit of the former Lady (ritually drowned in the very pool where she now resides) guards a secret even deeper underneath the earth.
The floor pieces are made from foam board, the rest is various foam packing pieces. The pools are sculpted from hot glue, and everything is painted with acrylic paint. I considered lining the central pool's border with stones as well, but decided I don't want to cut up and individually paint the pieces of more packing peanuts.
(banshee mini from paperforge btw)

Another tray up on my Etsy. Price $85USD. Links in bio/blog.
This is a fairly big rolling tray as I repurposed a broken styrofoam tray. Great for a shared group tray or you have a bunch of dice you want to roll!
*Dice in photo not included.
The approximate outer size of the dice tray is: Length - 10in/25.4cm Width - 16.75in/42.545cm Height - 3.25in/8.255cm
The approximate inner size(rolling area) of the dice tray is: Length - 6in/15.24cm Width - 11.5in/29.21cm Height - 2.5in/6.35cm

Making some 30k Zone Mortalis terrain. I'm printing a majority of it but making a few longer wall sections scratchbuilt (with my gf 💖).
First I traced a printed wall piece. The pointy out bits don't matter much as they're going to be glued in place and not modular. Also some wip shots. Using popsicle sticks to create a border, and Starbucks hot drink grip things to give the appearance of corrugated metal. Next is using some nail art beads to create rivets across the popsicle sticks
Once we're finished with the terrain that's one step closer to us being able to play some 30k together. As of now i have/am putting together Custodes, World Eaters, Solar Aux, and Milita.

Stumbled on this video by Minisodes, and thought it be a fun idea to try out making some SciFi Cacti.
I joined the hobby back in 2008, so these were before my time, but I really like the crafty aspect, and different interpretations people have come up with to make plant terrain.
Wooden discs as bases, foam balls of various sizes, untangled jute string fibers wrapped around the bigger ball, and a cut popsicle stick to make the spines. An Awl to poke holes and wood glue to hold it all together.
For the Paintjob here, I used a dark purple as a base, and left it in the shadowy areas, and progressively used mixes of green on the plant, and red for the spikes, ending with highlights of a lighter color for each. A light black, water diluted, ink wash, to tie it all together.
only build one larger one because I need to buy me more foam balls for this, but having some small ones makes it feel like a living plant in different stages of growth, and the smaller balls give the plant a nice texture. as does the fibers.
