Story is.... My campaigns have a universal constant named Aslone The Wizard. And he likes to watch other universes like soap operas. And sometimes accidentally portals people to alternate realities. And I thought it would be funny to drop my party in Camp Brain Worm at some point. They all play bg3 too so they will also encounter their own tavs and durges.

A lot of effort went into all of these, but I'm happy to say the entire set of new terrain is finally completed!

Because I'm currently unemployed, in grief, with a lot of paints, and my man has a styrofoam - I've opened for myself a new hobby for now. I decided to try myself in making dnd miniature terrain.

Just some details that I absolutely loved from my first ever piece:

It's not perfect and I might adjust the shape later, but it's more than OK for a first try.

Wip DnD Proof of concept for wooden terrain and figs

I'm with covid so I've been using my free time to make more little things to clutter up my room.

This river came out sooo much better than the first one- still wicked blue but more on purpose this time.

These are flexible which I love, very resilient and would be easy to make molds of eventually. I used craft foam primed with gesso-podge as a base and built up the river bed with course pumice gel and little rocks pressed in. Gave that another layer of gesso-podge to lock everything in and dry brushed.

After that I did a few layers of soft gel gloss (paint beneath) for the water effect. I wouldn't use the gel for water that isn't moving since it's not totally transparent is areas where it's thick, but in this case it made it look more realistic. Little bit of fake moss here and there and done 🔥

Neet idea for simple terrain!

1 spray paint lid covered in texture paint and painted as marble

1 spare mini painted as a statue

And boom! Instant monument terrain for warhammer, dnd, mesbg and more!

To prove that I'm actually doing what all of you voted for, here's a picture of my desk featuring no less than two half painted minis, two incomplete pieces of terrain and not least, Gale's almost completely dry tent. Today's plans for the Gale's Tent project are measuring and cutting out a base from extra super duper thick card stock and cardboard, then figure out a good placement for the tent blank before globbing on the Proprietary Blend (Clean cat litter, pva glue, and an undisclosed quantity of rage, love, and shame).

Hoping to complete this unrelated gatehouse soonish to clear space.
