Been kinda quiet on here as of late, but wanted to post this WIP! I opened commissions up (there's two left, btw, dm if you'd like prices/a quote!) to help offset some emergency vet bills. Roxy's pancreatitis cost about 1K USD to treat, if not more for two weeks worth of turkey to help reset her stomach and pancreas. She's doing so much better though.

Commission for @clawsou of Hashtag (with a bonus of Fluffy Ears cause you can't have any of the maltobot kids without their favorite four-legged sibling, and.. well cause I adore cows and I love love love doing animal/wildlife art in general), taking in some of the scenery around her as she lines up a shot! Or a possible photo, she does love to take selfies after all.

Will work more on this hopefully this weekend, wanted to today since I took a half-day from work to get my aurebesh tattoo touched up now that it's healed but ended up passing tf out as soon as I got home. Forgot to flat in her tire and the grey on her shins below her knees. I want to at least, at LEAST, get the shading in this weekend.

"It's not everyday that my girlfriend is nominated for an Oscar," he boasted while placing a pair of sunglasses on the sales associate's hands. "- you've been ranting about this bag for weeks. I'm buying it for you, princess." he asserted.

"I'll take the black one," you smiled, entwining your hands together as you continued strolling down the store.

He was extra when it came to everything. You'd tell him that you wanted a smoothie and he'll bring you all the flavors - you'd tell him that you were nominated for an academy award and he'd rent out the entire mall. It was impressive to see the lengths of what his money could provide, but it was more impressive to see his efforts.

"I'm so proud of you," he whispered, keeping his arms around your waist. "Thank you for doing this, babe." your smile deepened. He spots another store in his periphery - and he wastes no time in leading you inside.

"- and the winner is therese!" the hosts announce your stage name, and the tears began flowing out of your eyes.

You finally made it!

Your manager presses a kiss to your cheek, before helping you gather your gowns and walk to the stage. The hosts give you the award - muttering a few words of congratulations.

You walk up the podium, staring at the faces of your peers. A decade ago, you were the one watching them on the screen - and now you were one of them.

You stare at the camera, with tears still flowing down your eyes. "Daemon, baby we did it!" was the first thing you said, and the crowd erupts into a second round of cheers.

"I want to thank everyone especially the academy, my co-workers, the directors, the writers and the producers. I couldn't have done it without you." you thanked, wiping the tears away from your eyes using a small handkerchief.

"I want to thank all of my fans for supporting me. I'm so sorry, I didn't prepare a speech because I thought Meryl Streep would win. I'm just really glad to be among these women today." you smiled, knowing that he was watching you from the screen.

so many thoughts about how twitch and thrash are so much smaller and thinner than the other cybertronians, and just how much the show uses this to emphasize the fact that they are children and should not have to be a part of this war.

they are young and new and the world is so big and suddenly theyre thrown into a conflict that they were told was long over. and like! they are not meant for this war, partially because the war was supposed to be over!

the other bots are all big and bulky and armored, which conveys just how much of cybertronian life has revolved around this war. but twitch and thrash, the first cybertronians born after the war ended, are not big and bulky and! they shouldnt have to be! they were born in what was supposed to be a time of peace!!

 the triplets, on the other hand were created through a plea for help, for protection, and you can see that even though theyre still a lot smaller than other cybertronians, they are still very visibly bigger and more armored than the twins

(and as a little side theory i think the emberstone definitely played a big part in differences between the twins and the triplets: it was probably somewhat aware that cybertronian conflict was over on earth, or maybe just that there hadnt been any conflict in that area in a while, so it didnt give thrash and twitch the bulky armor they would need if they were born in times of war. the emberstone definitely knew that there was active danger when it made the nightshade, jawbreaker, and hashtag, which is probably why they were built taller, bigger, sturdier. more fit for the conflict it knew they were being born into)

but still! even the triplets are still so small compared to bots like optimus and megatron and even though they are more fit for battle, they are still children!!

and its terrifying and tense watching battle scenes that the terrans are in because they are just so small compared to everything else and the way a lot of the framing of these scenes is from their eye level to show just how much bigger and scarier everything looks to them (ie this shot with novastorm vvv)

and the framing and composition of so many action sequences really does wonders to get this whole point across! i am forever thinking about the entire sequence in the final episode where twitch takes out the canon and the way it starts with this frame and just how small she looks in it

she is so small and young and inexperienced and unlike the rest of her species, war is a stranger to her and she shouldnt have to be a part of this but still she has to be. she was told that she and her siblings are the future of cybertronian kind, but the world she was born into hasnt given up the past yet. she was told that she was born after the end of a war that had chased her kind for millions of years and yet here she is, watching her family fight for their lives. and its just houhhghhhghg. houwuuehuhgh. hough. so many thoughts.

this is sooo incomprehensible but do you get me. do you get what i am saying.  the thought behind the character design and shot composition is just. phenomenal. earthspark is very quickly becoming one of my favorite tf shows of all time

Cant say I like starscream being the villain I really was hoping that the main conflict of season two would be the mia autobots and newly released cons struggling to assimilate with humans and the non mia autobots, like there’s a real big disconnect between the two groups, and the Terrans are just in the middle of it, especially if the mia autobots sympathize with the decepticons and have an aversion to the active autobots, I really thought we would finally have a tf piece of media that would finally stop the “starscream is always destined for being evil” especially with how he has a connection with hashtag and genuinely cares for her, but no starscream is a probably gonna be a mid villain, the ONLY role where it would be interesting if star was the villain is if his schemes are against the autobots and especially megatron how how heavily persecuted the cons are and that they had to fight to barely survive especially if they didn’t want to be in jail, I just hope they do something interesting, like humans having civil unrest because cons are being “accepted” in to society and them protesting it, I would be even better if this persecution and fear mongering affected the autobots and Terrans. Also it literally make no sense for them to be attacking the maltos THEY LITERALLY JUST HELPED THEM FIGHT MANDROID, maybe starscream is having a manic episode or megatron did something to really piss him off

But if the evildoings of the cons is just them doing childish bs then I’ll gladly watch that

which if their by the wayside that will be really disappointing because imo they are like the most interesting Terran and the one who has the most opportunity for character growth, especially with how open minded they are, this either mean they become a minor character (which would just be bad writing and a wasted opportunity) or the become a decepticon, AND THEY TOTALLY SHOULD IT WOULD BE SO INTERESTING IF THEY WERE ISOLATED EVEN MORE FROM THEIR FAMILY BECAUSE THEY ARE A DECEPTCON, please con nightshade 🙏🙏🙏

Also also this seems like a very hashtag heavy season which I am very excited about especially because she’s has cool ass powers and she’s my second fav (nightshade will always be my number one ☝️☝️☝️🔥🔥🦅🦅) and I think why it’s hashtag centric season is because starscream is the main villain, and she’s one of like 5? People he likes and seeing someone she’s close too be all evil and shit will probably fuck her up even more.

So in conclusion all I wish for is for lesbian and decepticon nightshades, windblade(PLEASE), and for starscreams motivations to be interesting

love the canonical implication that Earthspark Bumblebee's current alt-mode is possibly just a mid life crisis sports car phase

I mean I'm in my 30s, I'm not shitting on him, it's relatable primarily because most of my friends are at least slightly younger than I am

the "Bee hanging out with the Terrans" vibe is very real

but I also like that we're seeing a slightly older version of Bee here. usually he's the youngest of the Autobots (in most TF shows, anyway), but here he's roughly equivalent to middle aged

The Terrans are the youngest, so we get to see a more mature Bee stepping up into a carer/educator role

Bee has never really been one of my favourite TF characters (which I mostly attribute to burn out caused by all the marketing which solely fixates on him lmao), but I like him in Earthspark for the most part!

He's still a little on the "still learning" side of things coming into his current role, but that's what allows for further character development, and we've already seen him build some good skills for dealing with/training the kiddo bots

IDK it's nice.

would be interesting if there's ever an episode where Alex and Dot are unavailable for a not-necessarily-bad reason (maybe one of them is accepting a professional award or something so both of them go together as a Nice Thing)

and suddenly Bumblebee is Parent of Many Sparklings (Plus Two Human Ones) for the weekend LMAO

how long until he gives in and calls someone for help? because that is a LOT of children

eventually he calls everyone but they're all busy, Arcee just laughs at him lol she's having Fun Battle Time with Elita-1 so neither of them can do it, finally Megatron shows up and instantly all the kids are like "yeah STORY TIME" and Bee gets a 10 min nap in until a perimeter alarm goes off or something (it was just a cow but now he is Stressed)

Optimus gradually shows up like ha ha! outdoors enrichment for the children is a great idea and Bee is just like "have you ever actually raised sparklings, you had troops but you don't have SPARKLINGS"

meanwhile in the background Hashtag is trying to explain the differences between various social media sites to Megatron, who is trying so hard to pretend like he cares, but is also busy trying to keep at least two of the others from putting their hands a little too deep in his transformation seams so they can climb on him (they just want to be Large)

idk I think a Single Parent Bee episode feat. Grandpa Megatron towards the end at one point would be fun, arguably they did this kind of vibe in the first half of S1 a bit already

but it would be interesting to see how Bumblebee would manage without any other adults for support for like a weekend in its entirety (save for maybe Megs at the end taking pity on him lmao)

there aren't many bots in what seems to be Bumblebee's general age range, except maybe Arcee but she gives the vibe of being a little older than he is, so real talk he'd probably feel a little more isolated and overtaxed than usual :(

but the kiddos would likely pick up on this and they could plot with Megs to try to do something nice for him!!! it would go poorly but that's OK!!!!

then in the end, the way writers made him some kind of sacrificial hero for "giving up" on jukyung and "letting her go" to suho.. when she was never HIS to "give up".... ooooh so fucking sad isn't it?

i hate that majority of posts, tweets etc under true beauty hashtags are about how fucking cool, miserable and heartbroken seo jun because the girl he liked didnt love him back all while jukyung went through hell and back with her journey of self love and body positivity, suho literally lost half of his family and had to suffer so much but ohhhh look, the self appointed kabab me haddi is the show stealer here.

it really really really doesn't help that hwang in yeop just contiues to do roles where he is the miserable second lead who doesnt get the girl (18 again, sound of magic) and now he will play the character of he zi qui in the remake of the chinese drama go ahead where he zi qui was miserable and suffered alot and didn't get the girl (mostly because he ziqui never liked jianjian in a romantic way but his insecurities were eating him up when he found out jian jian and ling xiao were together and not to forget, the major part of go ahead drama was focused on jian jian's father and whole family trying to tell hi zi qui he was the part of family and not outsider and helping him to overcome his insecurities and fear of abandonment.) and you know WHAT? i am TIRED of seeing this actor in these heartbroken second lead roles.. like, PICK A BETTER SCRIPT DAMMIT!!! i'll have to see 1000 more reels of people crying that how his character deserved better, and others are just side characters in their own show because mr. i-am-miserable-because-the-girl-i-like-doesnt-like-me-back deserves better 💁🏻‍♀️

i just can't understand why this guy cant go for different roles and not just the same one again n again. he should try main roles. it definitely is not like he is having shortage of options cuz he prolly is in demand after true beauty. idk how am i supposed to enjoy the go ahead remake with his miserable ass face on screen again.

coming back to the main point: i can't, just can't understand why tf han seo jun is so fucking overrated when he is literally like every other second lead ever! you cannot go through any suho-jukyung content without people crying "but han seojun🥺" under it. this over hyping only makes his character even more annoying because people romanticize him so much that they just make up delusional narratives about how he was better than suho etc etc etc.

han seo jun is likable and cute when you don't have annoying people inserting him everywhere and crying about him. the overhype just repulses me alot.

phewww. i have been wanting to say this all since a long time cuz i am annoyed as fuck seeing han seojun everywhere overhyped to the point that people sideline suho-the actual main lead and downplay everything about him. and also say shit about jukyung.. like, leave my baby alone it's not her problem the kabab me haddi was stubborn. this all just gets on my nerves after one point because not matter how much you try to avoid it.. these things just comes back to haunt you when you try to ignore them.

• Why do you use mech/mecha to describe girl robots?

I don't believe in the mech/femme binary, i think that's dumb. Secondly, IDs are meant to give a visual description for people who for one reason or another may not have access to the image. Femme is vague and fandom-centric lingo, while "mech" is more widely understood to refer to large, humanoid robots.

• Are we ever going to do a second TF Women's Week?

It's not in the plans right now! Currently, only one mod runs this blog. I have a lot going on, and a variety of factors make event moderating unfeasible for me. If you'd like to run your own, feel free to reach out, i'd love to boost it!

• Who are the mods favourite TFs?

Termagax (IDW2), Pyra Magna, Shadow Striker, Nyx + Skold (BW21), Aileron, Airazor, Twitch + Hashtag (Earthspark), Anode, and Velocity! I'm primarily a comics reader, and a big shill for IDW2. The only continuity you're unlikely to find on here is prime/aligned, because I do not care for it.

•Are genderbends / humanformers allowed on this blog?

If the character is canonically male, I don't put art of them on this blog, even if the artist depicts them otherwise. If a character is male in some continuities and female in others, such as Swoop or Skywarp, art of them in the continuties where they are girls is allowed, of course!

• What about nonbinary characters?

I wouldn't feel comfortable grouping a nonbinary character, like Nightshade, in with female characters. It would seem to me to be disrespectful! This is case-by-case though. If there were, for example, an edit of a character in front of the demigirl flag, it may be more appropriate!

•Is there fanfic on this blog?

I don't read fic, so it's unlikely that I'd find it on my own. If theres a fic you'd like us to reblog/boost, feel free to tag us!

Faves:

Rafe. Literally Rafe. He was just so funny and such a little shit and one of my favorite things about the season

Riara!!! I loved their interactions so much and when he was like "I always liked you Kie" I went what is actually happening right now cause 😭

Jiara! They hurt so good tbh. The difficult and angsty scenes between them were needed imo. I knew it wasn't going to be smooth sailing and it was difficult watching the way her parents treated him and basically threw his own fears about him and kie in his face and my God the self sabotage was driving me insane and they kept highlighting the differences in their classes but they were cute

Cleo. Literally just Cleo but especially her and Pope. I was surprised by how much I loved them because it seemed like OBX was like yeah let's put the two leftover black characters together but unfortunately they were right and they were cute. Hashtag black love I guess 😭

Cleo and JJ. Not what you think. Cleo's genuine fascination with JJ was hilarious to watch. It was like every time he opened his mouth she'd look at him like he was the most bizarre and mind stumping creature she'd ever met. Also them being two sides of the same coin and equally chaotic was everything

Ward dying!!! I rejoiced so loud it was embarrassing

John B reuniting with his dad but the buck stops there (see least fave things for more)

Y'all gone hate me for this one but I was actually here for Sarah and Tooper? And I do not know why tbh. Can't even tell you. Definitely don't hate her and John B. I think I just enjoyed the drama of it all.

They were putting the boys THROUGH it my gawd. Idk if they were like yeah we tortured tf out of Sarah last season so this season let's make it even. I mean Pope finding out Rafe melted the cross? Almost going on a villain arc? JJ having no home and nowhere to go and being treated like shit by Kie's dad? John B almost dying? Being forced to be an accessory to murder? Getting cheated on while literally going through hell? My goodness

The show is TV MA so how tf you're going to show Sophia waking up in Rafe's bed half naked and show Rafe getting dressed but don't show us what went down in said bed. Why am I watching Sarah and John B about to do the so but I can't get a crumb for Rafe?

Really wanted to see Rafe give Sophia that tour. No I won't shutup about it

Kie's parents. It's amazing how I found myself thinking they'd grown on me because surely it's hard trying to be a parent to Kie with everything going on but then they just weren't listening to her at all and literally forcibly shipping her off was sooo. And then for them to be celebrating their discovery at the end like they didn't doubt her and JJ the whole time was so ugh

I haven’t watched them yet for myself, but I’m not hearing great things about the final S1 episodes of EarthSpark, and it still feeds into my primary problem with TFs: Hasbro and current writers still don’t know what to do with the Decepticons. It makes perfect sense on one hand that the Earth bound Decepticons would help in defeating Mandroid’s goal of eradicating all Transformers on Earth, but… Then what. The Decepticons had been causing problems still on Earth, and they understandably are ticked off at humans locking them up, but now they’re apparently buddy buddy with the Autobots and Maltos? Something feels rushed here. Feels more like in other circumstances, Starscream’s unit would be all “We’re only helping because Earth is where we keep our stuff: after that it’s back to trying to take over this dust ball!”

I dunno, I like that Starscream has an honest friendship with Hashtag, but I think I would’ve preferred it if the dynamic was similar to Silverbolt, Rampage, and Transmutate: a young, impressionable character caught between two friends’ conflicting beliefs. Starscream genuinely cares for Hashtag, but in a self destructive Jason Dean/Holly Viola kinda way, and thinks she’d be much happier with the Decepticons/her own kind instead of slumming it up with the Autobots and fleshlings. The arc would be Hashtag and Starscream in a conflicted friendship that involves Hashtag deciding if she’s an Autobot or Decepticon, and what that means for her family. It’s this sorta thing I think I would’ve liked more from the show, instead of what feels like everyone being Heroic Autobots and slightly more agitated Autobots.

Mandroid and GHOST also have a sort of sloppy conclusion…? It reminds me of what became of Cilas and MECH, especially how MECH ceased to be without Cilas, despite implications Cilas was part of a larger cog. Sort of annoying that seems to be repeated here, as if they can’t fully commit to new leadership in GHOST, for better or worse. Ideally, I say what should happen is Schloder takes over GHOST and it becomes a proper heroic Human-Transformer unit, however those loyal to Croft and distrusting of the Decepticons and Autobots go off to form a splinter faction: a new version of RAAT, MECH or Cemetery Wind.

Still I don’t want to make any rash assumptions. Shockwave wound up being controlled by Mandroid so I don’t see him becoming a new Decepticon leader atm, which was the prevailing assumption for S2. There MIGHT be Quintessons because of Quintus Prime and the mystery of where Mandroid has been and where he got his new gear and Sharkticons, but the writing of this show sounds like it went down hill, so any potential hints or plot threads might not be followed up on.

Soundwave’s deal with Ravage is never explained. Ravage, barring S2, doesn’t reappear. It was assumed they were planning a prison break, but Hashtag accidentally caused that to happen instead. The official guidebook for EarthSpark does offer an explanation: Soundwave is a mole planted by Optimus and Megs to confirm the location of the Allspark. Apparently the implication is the two leaders might be thinking GHOST acquired it in the explosion, or it was sent back to Cybertron as intended. But I’m not sure I trust the guidebook either as it makes references to mostly scrapped preproduction stuff like usage of the Ark and Nightshade’s originally more vague gender identity (they originally identified as Terran and saw no purpose for gender as a mechanical being. Admittedly this makes the in-show discussion about being non-binary with Sam make much more sense), and having a gargoyle beast mode instead of an owl one.

There’s also the EarthSpark video game, whose potential canon is up for debate once we get the full context, but the game sees Bumblebee take on Mandroid’s Decepticons (?) to stop Mandroid’s latest nefarious scheme. Mandroid is also in his earlier healthy state seen earlier in the season where as he’s pretty much a wigged out, disheveled addict now. Also, Simon Furman helped write the game, so his contributions shall be fun to see. Grimlock is in the game, so maybe he wrote that campaign lol.

The show also talks a bit more about the other Primes besides Quintus, with it being pointed out by a fan that Optimus is NOT the 13th Prime. For context, Aligned explained in ancillary media that Optimus is the resurrected 13th Prime known as The Arisen. Apparently Optimus was indeed online during the era of the Thirteen and fought Unicron before, only “dying” in a great sacrifice that saw him reborn as Orion Pax. IDW would lean into this, but neither confirm or deny it, with Optimus hesitantly using the Caminus religion about the Primes to his advantage in continued peace post war. The Optimus being The 13th plot was very unpopular, so EarthSpark dodging the issue is pry for the best, but I could see them coyly reference it with The Arisen appearing and being voiced by Peter Cullen.

Anyway, the continued dodging of the Decepticons as the primary villains and not committing to new ones persists and it continues to annoy me. If we got Quints, Predacons, Terrorcons or even Primacron as ongoing replacements that’d be one thing, but we’re not. It makes me even more intrigued but also concerned about Skybound. On one hand the Decepticons are back to being the villains, but the starting line up lacks Megatron which feels like a red flag to me. Instead it appears Starscream is the leader, which I’m fine with but the continued… well demotion of Megatron to antihero doesn’t bode well for the Decepticons in future media (and no TF One doesn’t count because it’s ANOTHER Aligned/IDW/Cyberverse origin story). Skybound could be saving Megatron for a big reveal/showdown like IDW1 and Animated did, but I frankly don’t trust Hasbro to let Megatron be bad again. I hope I’m wrong though and we get the old revels in bring cartoonishly evil Megatron in Skybound at least.

Here’s to EarthSpark S2 addressing its unresolved bits, and finding a new villainous Transformer team that’s not the Decepticons if that’s the path they’re choosing. I’m not holding out hope for a season 3 right now because of the current Hollywood strikes, and while I hear animation isn’t affected, that could change on a dime I fear.

I want to start by saying I love your work, such a brilliant writer, I’m a writer on here myself. I haven’t been on here for long but my work has been getting a lot of attention. Unfortunately me and one user had a minor issue. Then I noticed some of her friends started rebloging some of the things I write adding nasty hashtags to it for example, #weirdo, #trashywriter, and one even added your a weird bitch. I didn’t care about it too much. Then I noticed when a mootie I have reblogs or tag a person and I try to go on their account to follow them, I’ve been blocked, never interacted with them before but come to find out by a person who I was once mooties with they are telling their friends and mutuals not to interact with me and block me, that they need to be careful who you interact with, and I’m your friend don’t follow her. I’m not normally a person who cares about dumb stuff like this but when people you don’t even know or ever interacted with start blocking me when I’ve never said anything to them kinda hurts my feelings, I’m pretty sensitive and I don’t didn’t do anything to these people, I just post my work, reblog other post, and like. It feels like I’ve been shunned, and ik it’s just an app, but I don’t think it’s okay for people to treat me this was, especially when I did absolutely nothing to them.

VTuber Re-Starter Kit (2023)

Who knows wtf Twitter is gonna look like by the end of the year? Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Tumblr, and all the other cesspits? I’ve got it all covered! Social media is changing and we must change with it. I’m so tired god please weh

Twitter is in free fall. Panic ensues. Valid. Many of us need that hellsite. Badly. It’s imperfect trash, but its *our* trash, understand? Fuck these “alternatives”. They are all noise right now. Cohost doesn’t allow commercial activity in its TOS, Mastodon has low engagement right now. Twitter Blue is here to stay. As VTubers, we all benefit from having it, actually. For $8/mo, you will be prioritized and boosted with mentions and replies. This means that threads and replies to you bump you up on the TL. Even if you pay for it, Lists and Twitter Circles are still a good idea. Heck, rotate people out of Twitter Circles to make sure you’re able to talk to more people. Continue to use Twitter to network by providing value to others and help others in their journey. Be chill and don’t use people for clout--it’s disingenuous. Treat people like people.

I can’t guarantee that things will be the same here on Twitter and neither can anyone else. The current data sets I see from clients and others may show that not much is changing, but this site is changing every day. We need to play it day by day and not worry too much about it.

Twitter has shops, utilize tf out of the business features. Given how much of a mess the site is with its daily tweaks and the loss of valuable engineers at Twitter, things could be topsy-turvy. Who knows? Be active!

This being said, you shouldn’t rely on Twitter alone. It’s not good for your business nor is it good for growing your brand recognition. So I’ll list where to go and the use cases. Don’t use this list to go to literally every place. There’s just not enough time in a day to maintain it all.

Don’t make Insta your mainstay. Please, for the love of God don’t. Everything wrong with FB is still wrong with Insta with the added bonus of it being Diet Tik Tok. That being said, it still is a good networking tool and can help your sales with its shop features (for businesses/brands/media that don’t want to use Twitter). So what to do with Insta? Repost your Tik Toks and hit it n quit it. Post your schedule (3:2 format, crop down with 1:1 squares and schedule out posts to upload your schedule). Update your stories with important things (they’re pinned tweets basically). Have a link in your profile and reply to people when you can. Use relevant hashtags and hashtags that aren’t super saturated. GL;HF

Not a Twitter replacement

SEO can be a benefit (technical jargon I’ll save you from), but you must remain authentic. What works on Twitter doesn’t fly on Tumblr. You will not get traction from doing what you do here.

Pay attention to etiquette. You can have assholes, but many are willing to joke as if nothing had happened. Be consistent by liking and reblogging things. Turn off your brain and follow blogs and tags that are up your alley and QUEUE up things to keep posting throughout the day. Tumblr humor is ironic, but not irony-poisoned. It’s punny and quirky and you must kill the chains that bind your inner cringe. Truly be yourself, share your personal thoughts more (it's a blogging site ffs), share your fandom of things, and things’ll be okay.

Also important on the ettiquite as a first tip: dont act like you do on Twitter. Its a different audience and the normal ways of crossposting wont work here. This is not Twitter. Tumblr is a blogging site where blogs share each other and it is fandom-heavy (meaning sharing who your favorite oshii is for example and hyping up others). It comes naturally. Be yourself and focus on building up a presence on your blog to give people a good idea of who tf you are. Nobody is really a celebrity here and you can't act like you are here. I made another mega thread for this, read it later. YouTube should be one of your mainstays as a VTUBER. It’s more work, yes, but they also have Community Posting for everyone now. Scaling up your brand and having better brand recognition is crucial here. As you post more videos, ALWAYS improve your pacing, thumbnails, and titles.

Twitch

We know it. We love it. Consistency is key. Start with Rule of 3s: 3 days/week, 3 hours/day, 3 social media outlets. This is a general rule for a reason, but it's a good minimum to start with because I’ve seen too many clients in deep need. If you need to start half an hour later to catch your regular audience, then do so. Starting out, you need consistent numbers, engagement, and retention. I’ll explain later, but you want to do what you can to increase production value and give more interactables for chat to use.

Advice for partners, you need to continue to carry the momentum to scale. By this point, you likely know what it is you need to do, but perhaps there’s a discrepancy with engagement or retention, or god knows what that holds your audience back. Collabs help, but not as much as you’d like. This comes with raids being a nice networking tool funnily enough. Raid people with similar content and vibe as you to continue to network with people. Switching audiences and using adjacent categories to find that audience may be what you need.

This is all hard to determine for partners so plainly on social media without analyzing data, audience, content, branding/design, and personality. There’s a lot that goes into your churn (how many folks you lose in your audience on average). Fixing that can either require optimization and turning your personality up to 11 more consistently and differently, but also can mean taking a leap into faith with a “big risk, big reward mentality”. One thing I know works would be the optimization tweaks here and there by looking at data (or not looking at all and just gathering feedback from your audience and friends and staying objective and factual), and diversification on different platforms so more can know who you are.

Try tools like Streambee to simplify the VOD review process Streamloots to increase engagement and have better monetization TITS, VRChat, and curation to invite viewers with “planned exclusivity” rather than total exclusivity (how you do this is up to you).

Discord Not really a social media site

Great for talking and engaging your community and breeding loyalty. VTubers need fewer “groups”, fewer individual servers, and more community servers where you can pool your resources and hype each other up. Effectively make use of what Stream Teams are good for and raise each other up.

Monetization

Use Kofi for tips, a shop, comms

Use Gumroad for another shop that has more discoverability

Use Patreon for memberships to slowly phase out Twitch subs. Be creative and have fun with Patreon rewards

Use Streamloots and have fun with it

Making friends with other artists and being invested in their work really helps :) not using them but genuinely wanting to draw fanart or promote each other yknow it's nice way to make connections

Also trending hashtags, sharing your own work, attending events... if you gain one platform you can also use it to grow another... I think making a niche of content that is unique to you is really important, like people remember me for "happy tfs" and trans bunny boys specifically hehe

I honestly never have much luck with giveaways or like chasing popular trends or even drawing fanart, but it works for some people

A little explanation

Everything happens in the episode "Traditions", in which, Mandroid's spider-bots manage to successfully kidnap Robby and they gave it to Mandroid because they detected Robby's Cyber-sleeve.

Things then happen sooner than later. The whole Malto family and the bots plan a way to rescue Robby while Mandroid gets all the info he needs from the poor boy, and sadly, he gets all the info before the Autobots come to just find an empty facility where Mandroid was supposed to be + Mandroid sends the Seekers to distract the team for a longer time.

Things get nasty when they find out too late that Mandroid took the rest of his subordinates, spider bots, and Robby to the cave where the Terrans were born.

A fight breaks out when the Autobots and Malto family finally arrive, a fight in which, Robby falls into the strange water that surrounded the Amber stone. He was then taken by the watercourse outside the cave. When little Robby was out of the cave all alone, he was too stressed by the pain that he didn't notice his new body...

He still won't go home sadly 😁. Another bot *cough* Con *cough* finds him and takes him even far away from Witchwicky.

I also plan to add some other characters from different continuities that might help to try to capture Robby...

And don't worry, Hashtag, Jawbreaker, and Nightshade will still appear but someone else will help Mo *sweats*

If things go as I hope they do, Robby/Neonburst is going to [REDACTED] but he and the other will get a happy ending... maybe...

I don't want to be a buzz kill over the free Iran campaign, but how does spreading hashtags solve anything? This isn't bringing back a McDonald's dipping sauce, this is changing a stubborn theocracy.
