Spooktober day 1

Sideswipe x human reader

Prompts - Friday the 13th, scary/horror movies

I know it's late for day one, but imma be honest, I started writing this on the third. 😅

I'm working on more, but I'm not sure when they'll come out. So yall just be patient with me. Anyways, I hope yall enjoy! Leave a comment if yall want.

It was October first, and you could finally decorate the junkyard for Halloween. Denny had refused to decorate until October. So here you were, stringing up orange and purple lights as well as fake spiderwebs wherever you could reach with the help of Sideswipe and Strongarm

"So wait, let me get this straight, not only do humans purposefully make and watch horror movies, you also decorate yourselves as scary as possible and hide in these "haunted houses", all for entertainment?"

Strongarm sounded perplexed at the strange customs you'd brought up.

"Yep, pretty much. Though lots of people don't do either and have their own traditions that they enjoy. I personally enjoy rewatching scary movies during the fall. Speaking of which, I was going to re-watch Friday the 13th if you guys want to join me?"

"Eh, sure, why not. It's not like there's much going on around here anyway."

"No thanks y/n I need Fixit's help with my Decepticon hunter. It's acting up, and I don't know what's wrong with it."

A grin crossed Sideswipe's faceplate. "You're scared, aren't you?"

"What!? No, I'm not!"

He got up in her face poking her with a didget. "Are too!"

"No, I'm not Sideswipe!" She crossed her arms, tilting her chin up with a "humph".

Sides chuckled, not believing her one bit.

Later that night, you had set up a projector with a large white bedsheet as the screen and popped some popcorn for yourself. Russell had begged his father to allow him to watch the movie with you, but luckily for you, he'd refused and instead let him sleep over with a friend. Bumblebee had decided to join you for the movie, saying he'd seen part of it before but not the entire thing.

You sat in an old recliner while the other two sat behind you on the ground, optics glued to the screen. The movie started, and within a few minutes, there was the first kill. Of course, it was exaggerated to some extent, but that's what you get from older movies. Not even a quarter of the way into the movie Bumblebee called it a night and left to go recharge.

You were relatively calm throughout the movie, but every once in a while, you'd hear Sideswipe jump or let out a sound of disgust at the cheap gore.

When the final girl Alice fends off Pamela Voorhees and kills her with a machete to the neck, you swear you hear Sides yelp. You turn your head and see him covering his face with his servos.

"You ok, Sides?"

"N-no, I mean, yeah, I'm fine totally!" He looks pale if cybertronians could even go pale, and he's definitely grossed out by the obviously fake gore. "Here, how about I turn this off, and we can do something else for a bit to take your processor off of it. He nods and transforms, waiting on you to put the projector away.

He pops his passenger door open for you and drives you to his little hangout spot in the junkyard. "Let's distract you for a bit." You hop out and pull your phone from your pocket to play some music. You grin as a classic plays making you dance a little.

Cha cha slide never failed to distract you from stuff, so you hoped it would work for him as well. Sure enough, he got into the rhythm and danced along with the steps. A smile slowly graced his faceplate, and you knew he'd be alright.

I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT OPHELIA AND STEVE’S RELATIONSHIP HELP

anyways, nutshell summary on their confession? Like who confesses first? And how does the rest of team prime thinks (since only the bee team knows about them)

In a nutshell...

Haven't quite thought that far yet on who confesses yet.

But!

I have a feeling the confession would have happened on accident, like blurting it out type of accident.

Either way feelings are reciprocated and eventually become Conjunx Endura.

As for the team, most know about Ophelia and Steve.

Most members of Team Prime were at their ceremony, it happened to be after Bee went missing.

Bee honestly thought that Ophelia and Steve were good friends, and mistaken them for Amica Endura, was slow to connect the dots.

Steve has hugged Ophelia like this at least once.

Ha! Love this!

In a nutshell...

There is no escape from Ophelia and Steve loving.

Bee thought it wasn't going to be a problem at first.

Not many Cybertronians were lovey dovey or showed it too much.

... He didn't know that one of the pairs biggest love languages was physical touch and words of affirmation.

Bee has lost count of the amount of times he has seen Steve hugging Ophelia out of nowhere without any prompt.

Or the amount of times he has heard Ophelia talk loving words to Steve whenever he comes back from patrol with the others.

Its cute and adorable and-- Primus he's lonely...

Everyone suffers the same fate, but honestly wouldn't change the couple for anything.

In a nutshell...

When Thunderstreaker finds out Bee is back on Earth, they are SPEEDING back to the planet.

There is no way they are going to make his life easy after giving them a spark attack from him being missing.

Joins the team on the spot.

Sideswipe thinks he can easily get Thunders to do his chores, too bad. Thunders has been doing this trickery a bit longer than him.

The chaotic little seeker is ready to reign terror in the skies while coming back to watch western films with Bee.

When Buddy dreamt about Prime, they half thought it was finally their time.

But then the idea ruled out as the Prime told them that Bumblebee needed help with his situation with his team on Earth.

Buddy is ready to tear down any wall that stands in their way.

No wonder Bumblebee hadn’t been returning their calls.

He was all the way down on Earth.

And with a team?

What situation?!

What was going on?!

Buddy was getting too old for this.

Thankfully a spacebridge was provided for them.

Buddy had to admit they missed Earth.

Less alt mode judgement here

As soon as Buddy caught a whiff of Bee’s scent, they were off in the night sky.

Once they were near a scrapyard the scent had gotten stronger.

Buddy carefully descended nearby the tall trees and took a moment to sit.

Buddy venting a bit.

“This is definitely not going to be easy this time around.”--Buddy

Snap!

Buddy turns their helm towards a small human boy.

“…I didn’t know Dinobots got this big.”

“I’m not a Dinobot kiddo. Wait how do you know about Dinobots?”--Buddy

The human boy scratches his head a bit.

Buddy raising their optic a bit.

“You’ve met one haven’t you.”--Buddy

“What if I did?”

Buddy pauses before chuckling a bit.

“You have some spunk kiddo I’ll give you that.”--Buddy

“My name is not ‘kiddo’.”

“Then what is your name my little friend?”--Buddy

“Russel.”--Russel

“Russel… that sounds like a nice name.”--Buddy

“Really? I mean sure, I guess. What’s yours?”--Russel

“Buddy. And before you go ‘Buddy?’ ‘That’s a weird name.’ or ‘I thought it would be Maimer or Bonecruncher.’ Yes, that is my name.”--Buddy

“I mean you do seem like a nice Con—”--Russel

“Not a Con. I am a Autobot, specifically a Predacon.”--Buddy

“Predacon? Is that something like a Dinobot?”--Russel

“Not exactly. My species is an old one from Cybertron’s earliest years.”--Buddy

“…So. you said you were an Autobot, huh? Prove it.”--Russel

Buddy tilting their helm.

“How do you want me to prove that?”--Buddy

Russel humms while tapping his foot.

“…I don’t know.”--Russel

Buddy laughs a little.

“You’ve mention Dinobot’s an awful lot. Mind showing me your friends. I’m trying to find one myself.”--Buddy

“You lost your friend?”--Russel

Buddy huffs a bit.

“More like ‘Let-me-drop-off-the-face-of-Cybertron-not-tell-anyone-and-let a dream-let-them-know where-I-am’.”--Buddy

Russel laughs a bit before stopping.

“What’s you friends name?”--Russel

“A young mech name Bumblebee.”--Buddy

Russels eyes go wide.

“You know him?”--Buddy

“Know him? He’s my friend too!”--Russel

Buddy chuckles a bit.

“Bumblebee always did have a way with humans. Well now, what are we waiting for.”--Buddy

Buddy rests their helm in front of Russel.

“We’ll cover more ground like this.”--Buddy

Russel smiles.

“Awesome!”--Russel

He climbs onto Buddy’s helm, carefully minding the optics.

Buddy slowly lifts their helm up.

Buddy motions towards the scrapyard.

“Is he over there?”--Buddy

“Yep! That’s where the Team is and my dad.”--Russel

Buddy starts walking towards the Scrapyard.

“Hopefully this will go better than last time.”--Buddy

“What happened last time?”--Rissel

“…I’ll tell you that story another time.”--Buddy

To say there was a bit of panic when a giant metal dragon showed up in the scrapyard was a bit of an understatement.

The dragon was bigger than Grimlock!

And they weren’t even standing up straight!

Buddy simply looked around to see if they saw Bee anywhere.

The group of Autobots had their weapons out and… was that a minibot?

Buddy hadn’t seen one of them in a while.

“Hello!”--Buddy

Most of the Autobots draw out their weapons, minus Grimlock who just transforms into his Dinobot mode.

“Oh! This was the Dinobot you were telling me about Russel?”--Buddy

Russel’s head pops up from on top of Buddy’s helm.

“Yep! Hey guys! Their friendly!”--Russel

“Russel get down from there!”--Drift

“But like how? It not like I can jump down with out break my knees if I wanted to.”--Russel

Buddy slowly lowers their helm so Russel could climb down.

“If you wanted down, all you need to do was ask.”--Buddy

Russel jumps off the last set while Buddy raises their helm back at the Autobots.

“Have any of you seen Bumblebee? I have been looking for him.”--Buddy

Strongarm tensing her shoulders.

“What do you want with the lieutenant?”--Strongarm

“Well first off, lower your—”--Buddy

“No, we are not going to lower our weapons. The first thing your going to do is make us into scrap metal the second we do.”--Sideswipe

“What is the name of Ratchet’s rusty knee joints is going on?!”--Bumblebee

Buddy and Bee stare at each other.

Buddy jumps on to Bee’s chassis making the other scream and try to pry them off of him.

They aren’t lucky.

“WHAT IN THE NAME OF CYBERTRON WHERE YOU THINKING!? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED I WAS WHEN YOU WEREN’T ANSWERING MY CALLS!”--Buddy

Bumblebee shrinking a bit.

Buddy expands their wings throwing everyone off.

“I swear to Prime’s spark, if you EVER think about pulling a stunt like that AGAIN I will personally go into the Well of Allspark myself and drag Prime out so we can both give you the scolding of a life time!”--Buddy

Bee chuckles nervously.

“Its good to see you too Buddy.”--Bumblebee

Buddy stops scolding and wraps their wings around the young bot tightly.

“…Anyone care to explain what just happened?!”--Sideswipe

Bee was relieved to finally have some help around.

Buddy was an excellent voice of reason when he felt like he was being a bad leader.

Also a voice to knock some sense into him sometimes.

Whether it be literally or figuratively.

Buddy whacking Bee on the helm.

“What kind of stunt were you trying to pull back there?!”--Buddy

“Well Optimus did it—”--Bumblebee

“Optimus did his things with his limits. You have to do your things with your limits.”--Buddy

“But what if that’s not good enough for the team? It will be my fault if we loose.”--Bumblebee

Buddy sits by Bee.

“Bumblebee, you’re the leader, of course its going to be your fault.”--Buddy

Bee giving them an unimpressed look.

“You know this is the part where you help me—”--Bumblebee

Buddy whacks him in the helm again.

“Will you quit doing that!”--Bumblebee

“When you learn to let me finish.”--Buddy

Be aggressively rubs his helm.

“Everything is going to be your fault one way or the other. As leader you need to accept that. The same way you need to accept that your limits and Prime are different. You both are accomplishing different things in different ways. His ways may not be the best for your situation, as I see it, you have to try some things your way.”--Buddy

“…Thanks Buddy.”--Bumblebee

Buddy chuckling a bit before stretching a bit.

Buddy grunting a bit as some of the joints pop hard.

“Hey, you okay?”--Bumblebee

Buddy giving him a bit of a tired smile.

“I’ll be fine little one. These old joints still work fine.”--Buddy

Strongarm and Sideswipe constantly tried to impress the old Predacon with stunts and facts.

Buddy loved seeing them try and impress them. It was a great source entertainment on slow days.

Though Buddy definitely put their pede down when things got a little too out of hand.

The two are grunting and trying to get out of the Predacon’s weight.

“Get! Off!”--Strongarm

Buddy unamused and unbothered.

“Have the both of you decided to apologize to each other?”--Buddy

“Never!”--Sideswipe

Bumblebee walks by and spots them.

“They were fighting again?”--Bumblebee

Buddy just nods their helm looking at their claws.

“Bumblebee! Help a bot out!”--Sideswipe

Bumblebee backing off a bit.

“Yeah not doing that. The quickest way your getting out is if you apologize, trust me.”--Bumblebee

“Wait what did you do to get this?”--Sideswipe

Buddy and Bee have a flashback to him and Smokescreen under Buddy’s weight.

“That’s a story for another time.”--Buddy

Buddy stretches their tail a bit.

SQUEAK!

“…”--Everyone

“Not. A. Word.”—Buddy

“Yes Buddy.”—Bumblebee, Strongarm, and Sideswipe

Grimlock loved being around Buddy.

Finally, someone who understood the struggle of having an alt mode that wasn’t a vehicle!

Grimlock loves hearing all the stories Buddy has.

He means everyone.

From the happy ones.

To the sad ones.

To the funny ones.

And the serious ones.

It surprised him a lot how well Buddy kept up with him and how many times they would win during sparring matches.

After another victory from Buddy.

“Wooowie! That was fun!”--Grimlock

“Sure, was Grimlock.”--Buddy

“Wanna go another round?”--Grimlock

Buddy already laying down on the sunny part of their training ‘arena’.

“Maybe in a bit Grimlock. I’m a bit tired out.”--Buddy

Grimlock looks at them confused.

��But its only been half an hour? The team usually does an hour before we take a break.”--Grimlock

Buddy chuckles a bit getting comfortable as Grimlock sit in front of them.

“Well I am a bit older Grimlock, this frame is only going to go so far with my age.”--Buddy

Grimlock now laying down in front of them.

“Okay, then I guess I’ll nap here too.”

“You don’t have to Grimlock.”--Buddy

“Nuh nuh. I’m staying right here.”--Grimlock

Buddy smiles a bit before tucking their helm into their wings while draping their tail over Grimlock’s as they both take a nap under the warm sun.

Drift and the minis were a bit cautious at first.

Drift thought Buddy was going to be another Grimlock.

Except older and bulkier.

But he was sorely mistaken.

Drift never imagined a Predacon such as Buddy to be so fluid with their fighting motions, even when training.

The samurai has defiantly asked Buddy to be his sparring partner more than once.

He was not immune from the grandparent vibes.

His mini’s loved hearing Buddy’s stories with Russel.

Drift coming back from patrol to see the mini’s and Russel sitting down as Buddy acted out something.

Drift couldn’t hear what Buddy was saying.

“What do you think they’re talking about?”--Denny

“I do not know.”--Drift

Buddy makes the motion of a sword going through a body.

“…Maybe its something they saw on TV once?”--Denny

Buddy now mimics the motion of body slamming something.

“…I do not think so.”--Drift

One thing the team did notice was Buddy sometimes having trouble flying for long periods of time or remembering where things were.

It was the least they could do.

Bumblebee is especially vigilante over Buddy’s little problems.

Everyone wants to do their part in helping the ageing Predacon with their life when they helped them so much. Even do some less exciting things with them.

Buddy starts to lay down in a shady spot in the scrapyard.

“You’re not going to your sunny spot today?”--Russel

Buddy shaking their helm.

Russel just sits next to Buddy’s helm and leans back.

“Russel? What are you doing?”--Buddy

“I’m going to take a nap here.”--Russel

“You don’t need to. I’m sure the rest of the team—”--Buddy

“—is coming over.”--Russel

“What?”--Buddy

The team shows up and starts getting ready to take a mid-day nap with Buddy.

Buddy raises their wings and tail and carefully drapes them on their little family.

This is nice.

Everytime after reading your Bot Buddy, i would end up with a headache from laughing too much with the bots skits😭 i love em. I've been looking around for some RiD fics but there's not much of em here so thought i could request. Bot buddy who's Megatron's kid, dropping by earth to look for Bumblebee after he left Cybertron. The two reunited (platonically) and was introduced to Team Bee.

Also, StrongArm and SideSwipes reaction to when Bumblebee casually mentioned that Buddy is Meg's kid

This has no connection to Buddy going to different dimension or meeting anyone outside TFP.

When Buddy had the vision of Optimus, she nearly screamed herself awake.

Optimus had instructed her to help Bumblebee and his new team.

When Buddy woke up there was already a portal inside her room.

She didn’t even have a minute to herself and already she needed to go.

Buddy leaps into the portal and comes out to a familiar landscape.

She was on Earth.

A sudden clang surprises her and she looks back.

A rather large scrap yard had presented itself in front of her.

There was a lot of yelling behind the wall.

Buddy figured that that would be the first place to check out.

She manages to climb up a tree and hop over the wall.

Buddy looks around the intricate scraps and older things around.

The clang comes back with more frustrated yelling.

Buddy quickly hides behind the wall of scraps and pers over her shoulder.

To her surprise she sees Bumblebee trying to talk to some of his team mates out of a fight.

Some of the other ones just stay out of it and watch.

The Dinobot accidentally whipped Bumblebee with his tail sending him flying and landed straight at Buddy’s pedes.

Buddy laughed a bit looking down at Bee’s surprised face.

Bee gets up and immediately picks up and sings Buddy around enthusiastically.

He had missed his friend dearly.

Everyone else is very confused.

Especially where in the world did that minibot come from?

Buddy gets put down and properly introduces herself to the others and explains her vision.

Bee is more than happy to have Buddy as part of his team, especially since they were a little bit short on a medic.

Bumblebee and Buddy often talk about the old times during the war or about things they missed on Earth.

Strongarm

Strongarm was a bit confused about seeing this new minibot with Bumblebee.

She finds it a bit hard to believe that the mini was a part of Team Prime, but trust Bees word on it.

She is confused when Buddy refuses to go after any cons, but figures that it had something to do with being a medic.

Absolutely floored when Bee casually mentions that Buddy’s father was Megatron.

Strongarm does get the feeling that Buddy may have ulterior motives that do not benefit the team and decides to bring it up with Bumblebee.

She had never seen him defend someone like that.

After a bit of thinking she decides to ask the source herself.

Buddy keeps all details about her life with Megatron as vague as possible.

That’s when Strongarm realizes that Buddy isn’t a bad bot at all and apologizes the assumptions.

Buddy forgives her.

The usual place to find the two is in the training area as Buddy tries and coaches Strongarm on kicking techniques the best she can.

Sideswipe

Like Strongarm, Sideswipe was on the fence on whether this bot was a part of Team Prime.

But then again, he was reminded of Drift’s mini’s.

He is a bit confused in why Buddy refuses to fight, rather sticking to the base and the humans.

Also, like Strongarm, floored hearing about Megatron being her father.

But for a different reason.

Megatron was one of the greatest fighters in history, how come Buddy hasn’t shown them some moves.

Bumblebee gets furious when Sideswipes nagging gets to be too much, again surprised how mad his leader got when Buddy’s past was brought up.

Buddy does explain that she knows some things, but they bring up bad memories of her time with Megatron and rather use them, when necessary, but she is willing to teach the team some moves to protect themselves.

He gives a bit of an apology when he finds out through Strongarm some of the things Megatron did.

Buddy forgives him.

The usual place to find the two is playing and discussing who’s music taste is better.

Grimlock

Grimlock was the first to welcome Buddy on the team.

Fully believes that she was on Team Prime

Why would anyone lie about that?

Is shocked to hear that the biggest bad of the Cons was her father.

He does ask some questions about it, but he knows when to stop when some things look a bit too painful to talk about.

One thing he has learned from the team, that if someone wants to talk about their past, they will with time.

Otherwise, it gets messy quick.

Grimlock does quietly defend Buddy against the others when they ar acting a bit too rude, even for him.

He is one of the first to hear from Buddy about her experience with Megatron.

He feels for Buddy and does offer his support in any way he can.

If they are seen together it’s with Buddy on top of his helm while they just chat about random things.

Drift

Drift believes Bumblebee when he says that Buddy was on the team.

That is no lying matter so it must be true.

His minis and Buddy constantly chat to each other.

Buddy does make sure to talk to him about letting them have more freedom.

Drift is on high alert hearing that Buddy was Megatron’s daughter.

Refuse to have his minis be near her without his super vison.

Like Strongarm does question Buddy for any alternative motives and goes to Bee.

He had never seen Bee move so quickly or get that mad in a spit second.

Drift is the longest to come to terms with Buddy, simply because he doesn’t want to talk.

His minis hear about some of the things Megatron did to her and urge their teacher to talk to her.

They eventually do and they exchange stories.

The hostilities settled down after that.

If the two are ever seen together they are usually enjoying each other’s silence or Drift is watching over Buddy and his mini’s so they don’t do anything that could hurt each other.

When Bumblebee asked Prime’s spirit for help, he meant like someone like Ultra Magnus, Arcee, Ratchet, he would even take Smokescreen.

He was not expecting Buddy to roll into the scrapyard unannounced one night.

He has to tell everyone not to attack them multiple times.

He knows Buddy doesn’t exactly look like the friendliest bot on the block, but he knows them well, he just hopes that enough to convince his team for now.

Buddy standing by Bee’s side as he introduces everyone to them.

“Buddy this is the team. The two you knocked out are Strongarm and Sideswipe. The Dinobot is Grimlock, and the Samurai with the minibots are Drift, Jetstream and Jetstorm.”—Bumblebee

“Buddy?”—Russel

Buddy looks down at the two humans and kneels to further inspect them.

Sideswipe is about to interfere when Bee holds a servo for him to wait.

Denny looks a bit nervous at the Bot while Russel just stares back.

“That is my designation. And you are?”--Buddy

“I’m Russel. That’s my Dad, over there. You don’t look like a ‘Buddy’.”--Russel

“What do I look like?”--Buddy

“Shadowbitter or, I don’t know, Darksteel?”--Russel

Buddy raises their optics a bit.

Buddy extends a digit for Russel to shake.

“I like this one Bumblebee. I can’t wait to wreak havoc with you.”--Buddy

Rusty smiles a bit, while Bee groans in the background.

Don’t get him wrong, he appreciates the extra help.

It took him a while to get used to their antics.

What Bumblebee doesn’t quite understand is how Buddy and Russel managed to click so quickly.

He finds that he missed his pseudo-older sibling’s dark humor and antics after a bit.

There is no way he is going to tell the team this information.

Strongarm

Strongarm immediately thought Buddy was a Con that snuck into the scrapyard. Naturally she tried to arrest them.

She went down so fast.

Sideswipe doesn’t let her live that down, even though he also got taken down just as fast.

But when hearing who this Bot was, she has a complete change in perspective.

Strongarm looking at the Bot next to Bee.

“Wait your telling us this is The Buddy?”--Strongarm

Buddy raising their optic at Bumblebee.

“You haven’t been telling them good stories about me, right? The best stories are my worst.”--Buddy

Buddy and Bee jumping a bit hearing a squeal.

Strongarm fangirl noises in the background.

Buddy looking at Bumblebee.

“…When I make it out of here alive, I have that burial shroud for your grave when I’m done with you.”--Buddy

Strongarm fangirl’s a bit.

They were after all, a part of the original Team Prime, and worked with Bumblebee in the past.

So, they cant be all that bad right.

Not a fan of the dark humor.

Not her taste.

Has many questions for Buddy, but half of the time Strongarm holds it in, for fear of angering the bot.

Sideswipe

Sideswipe will deny ever having attacked Buddy on their first day at the scrapyard.

He is floored seeing this scary looking Bot standing so casually next to Bumblebee and him just being cool with it.

The confusion is great with this Bot.

He tries to act cool in front of Buddy.

Sideswipe wants to patrol with Buddy sometime, but he is also a bit scared of the idea.

He is not afraid of asking Buddy for stories of young Bumblebee.

He finds most of their antics funny, but occasionally he feels off about it.

“What other stories you have about Bumblebee?”--Sideswipe

“Why do you want to know? To exploit his weaknesses? Blackmial material?”--Buddy

Sideswipe mentally sweating a bit.

“Maybe?”--Sideswipe

Buddy pulling out a data pad.

“I have 25 videos from our time at the base on this data pad. If I find more, I can show them.”--Buddy

Meanwhile Bumblebee somewhere in the Scrapyard.

“…Somethings wrong…”--Bumblebee

Grimlock

Grimlock was about to step in when he saw Drift and the mini’s start fighting the Bot after they soloed Strongarm and Sideswipe.

He is the first to believe Bumblebee when he says that Buddy is a good guy like them.

He is a bit confused by Buddy’s dark humor and antics, but he just rolls with it. Sometimes he finds himself laughing even though he doesn’t get it.

Any friend of Bee is a friend of his.

He likes to hear some of the stories from Team Prime has.

“Can you tell me about the fight with Predaking again?”--Grimlock

“The one I’ve told you about 7 times this week? Aren’t your audials going to fall off with hearing anymore of that story.”--Buddy

Grimlock looking confused but waiting for the story.

“… So, I was face to face with the giant Predacon…”--Buddy

Drift

Drift tried to fight Buddy as soon as he saw them take out Strongarm and Sideswipe.

He stood toe to toe with the bot even with his students’ help.

He is confused when Bumblebee tells them to stop.

He is on guard the entire time.

He does not care that Bumblebee claims they are friendly; their entire stance says differently.

He is not a fan of their humor or antics.

He is fully convinced that they are a con in disguise.

He does eventually get used to them, but it takes a while.

Drift looking around the Scrapyard for his students.

CRASH!

He turns the corner to see Buddy balancing Jetstream in one servo while Jetstorm in stuck on a sticky target.

“What do you think you’re doing?”--Drift

Buddy looking at him dead in the optics.

“Target practice.”—Buddy

Maxima meeting Team Bee

SFW, Platonic, Cybertronian reader

RiD 2015

Maxima was not having a good time.

She had been searching for Bumblebee non-stop after he went radio silent for the past couple of weeks.

Maxima had been looking all around, asking for favors, and taking long hours to find him.

Until she got a vision from her late father.

Optimus Prime.

She thought she had finally joined him in the Well because she felt her spark pulsing out of her chassis.

He looked just how he had when… when…

His booming voice reached her audials like a nostalgic song.

Her own voice constricted in her throat.

Optimus tells her to go to Earth to help Bumblebee and his team.

A portal opened in front of her.

Without a second thought, Maxima ran in.

She lands straight into a scrapyard.

Maxima carefully looks around the place for any sign of hostilities.

She finds her first one in the form of a giant green Dinobot.

Grimlock had just come over to this corner of the scrapyard to find something Sideswipe mentioned.

Which now thinking about, sounded made up.

He did notice the mysterious bot in the corner though.

Grimlock and Maxima stared at each other for a bit.

“Ummm… can I help you?”--Grimlock

Maxima shakes her helm a bit and points at her Autobot badge.

“Friendly.”--Maxima

Grimlock relaxes a bit seeing that it was a friendlier bot.

“And actually I could use some help.”--Maxima

“Oh okay! What do you need help with?”--Grimlock

“I’m looking for a friend of mine. I was told I could find him here.”--Maxima

Grimlock scratches his helm a bit.

“I don’t know too much about finding bots. BUT Fix-it might know! C’mon! I’ll even introduce you to the team!”--Grimlock

Maxima smiles at the infectious grin on the Dinobot.

“Lead the way… what’s your name?”--Maxima

“Grimlock! And yours?”--Grimlock

“Maxima.”--Maxima

“That’s a nice name.”--Grimlock

“So is yours.”--Maxima

The two talk and walk to what looked like the main area.

There were three bots and an orange minibot on a ship console that was partially buried in the mountain.

The three bots immediately pulled out their weapons seeing Maxima with Grimlock.

“Hey! Hey! She’s a bot like us!”--Grimlock

“And how do you know she isn’t just lying?”--Strongarm

Maxima squints her optics a bit at Strongarm.

“Now why do you look familiar…”--Maxima

Drift steps forward.

“What is your reason for being here?”--Drift

“Grimlock was taking me to see a ‘Fix-it’.”--Maxima

“That’s me!”—Fix-it

Maxima looks over at the orange minibot.

“And why would you need to see Fix-it?”--Sideswipe

“She’s looking for a friend, right?”--Grimlock

“Yeah—Wait! Your Strongarm aren’t you?”--Maxima

“How do you know my name?”--Strongarm

“Team, we have a situation—”--Bumblebee

Everyone looks at Bumblebee.

Bee looks optics with Maxima.

“Maxima?”--Bumblebee

Maxima gives a smile while walking over to him.

“So, this is where you’ve been?”--Maxima

“Yeah—”--Bumblebee

Maxima slaps the back of his helm.

“Hey!”--Bumblebee

“That’s for leaving without letting me know.”--Maxima

Maxima pulls him in a denting hug.

“Thank the Primes you’re okay…”--Maxima

Bee, feeling a bit guilty, hugs back.

“…When did we get a new bot?”--Russel

“Sweet Solus Prime Bee! You already got found by humans again?!”—Maxima

Maxima makes a quick first impression with everyone on the team.

She makes it clear to Bee that she isn’t going to leave him high and dry.

Bumblebee is glad to have an extra pair of servos helping around.

She becomes his unofficial, official second in Command of the Team.

If he is being honest, he was a bit afraid of Maxima taking the reigns of the team and leading.

Maybe she would have a better chance at leading like her father.

“All I’m saying is that you could definitely lead the team.”--Bumblebee

“Yeah, if I must. I wouldn’t want your job, Bee.”--Maxima

“But you’re a natural leader, just like Optimus was.”—Bumblebee

Maxima pauses for a split second before turning back to her work.

“A natural leader? Yeah, that’s just called ‘Survive long enough for the original leader to come back.’ Bee, do you not think your team would riot if you gave me the command?”--Maxima

“Well…”--Bumblebee

Maxima gives him a stern look.

“You’re a good leader Bee—”--Maxima

“But I’m not Optimus!”--Bumblebee

Both look at each other in silence.

“Maxima… I didn’t mean--”--Bumblebee

“Bumblebee. No one wants you to be Optimus. Not Strongarm, not Sideswipe, not Drift, not Grimlock, and defiantly not me. We want you. You and all of your flaws, terrible jokes and racing stripes.”--Maxima

Bee looks down a bit.

Maxima pats his shoulders in reassurance.

“…I miss him too; I miss him so much Bee. But right now, I think he’d want me to talk some sense into you. So here it is. The leader who you are now, that’s what this team needs. I’ll step in when its needed and give advice, but I’m not going to lead your team, got that Bee?”--Maxima

“Yeah… Thanks for talking sense into my processor.”—Bumblebee

Maxima flicks his door wings a bit.

“Someone has to. Consider it my job to look after your bumbling behind.”—Maxima

Bumblebee swats one of Maxima’s tires.

“Hey!”--Bumblebee

It was quick work to get along with most of Team Bee.

Maxima, Strongarm and Sideswipe made regular sparing partners.

Who knew that a monster truck could have agility?

Not them apparently.

Sideswipe is a bit let down that he can’t patrol with Maxima due to her alt mode drawing too much attention.

But off-road patrols are the best ones yet.

Maxima lets him do stuff on patrol that Bumblebee doesn’t let him.

Strongarm respects Maxima for being a former team member of the legendary Team Prime.

Though there was a time where her respect was more on a ‘tolerance level’ than genuine respect.

Strongarm did think that Maxima was a little bit like Sideswipe but didn’t really vocalize it too much.

That was until Sideswipe tried to take advantage of Maxima’s lax and got in trouble.

Maxima was the first on the scene.

Maxima and the team looking at Grimlock stuck in a rock arch.

Bumblebee and Maxima turn back to Sideswipe with, both with arms crossed.

“Sideswipe. What you did was reckless and endangered not only yourself, but also Grimlock.”--Bumblebee

“It was not my fault that Grimlock fell in the rock! If he’d—”--Sideswipe

“Grimlock was your partner for patrol today, Sideswipe. You both are supposed to have each other’s backs, not just one. If we wanted solo patrols, we would have authorized that. You put yourself and Grimlock in danger when you started blaring the music too loud and got ambushed. Which brings us here.”--Maxima

Grimlock was stuck in his Dinobot mode and stuck on a rock arch.

“It could be worse. Anyways Grims fine, aren’t ya!”--Sideswipe

Grimlock groans a bit.

“Yeah I’m fine… when did we get another Drift… and Strongarm…”--Grimlock

Maxima looks at him unamused and turns to Strongarm.

“Strongarm, take Sideswipe back to the scrapyard, I got Grimlock. We’ll be taking the scenic route to get back before the sun comes up.”--Maxima

“What!?”--Sideswipe

“What?”--Strongarm

“You heard Maxima.”--Bumblebee

“Maxima, with all due respect, how are you going to get Grimlock out by yourself? Let alone get him back home in one piece?”--Strongarm

Maxima walks over to the arch and punches the rock at an angle.

The rock crumbles releasing Grimlock with a small thud.

Everyone was stunned by this.

“H-how—”--Drift

Maxima throws Grimlock over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes and starts the opposite path.

She stops momentarily and turns back slightly.

“You better have a good apology when you get back to the scrapyard Sideswipe because I can get pretty creative with enforcement when I want to.”

Maxima and Grimlock disappear from view.

“…”—Team Bee

Sideswipe looks at Bumblebee.

“Did you know she was that strong?”—Sideswipe

Bumblebee shrugs almost looking smug.

“She’s wrestled with Predacons bigger than Grimlock, Sideswipe. And she isn’t kidding about the ‘creative enforcements. Either.”--Bumblebee

Bumblebee transforms and drives out.

“That didn’t answer the question!”—Sideswipe

“Did he mention Predacons?”—Drift

“… Lets just get back home.”--Strongarm

Strongarm defiantly looks at Maxima in a different light after that night.

She sees her as another mentor figure alongside Bumblebee.

Drift was a bit on edge with Maxima joining the team.

He did give the benefit of the doubt considering that Maxima was on Team Prime with Bumblebee during the war.

She couldn’t be bad if Bee tolerated her.

Drift truly began to open when his former master came back taunting him for his Decepticon past.

Maxima did not judge him or give him pity sympathy.

She earned some respect points from him that day.

The minis like to hang out with Maxima whenever they have a break.

She will come to the mini’s defense at any moment, something that he is grateful for.

Maxima shielding the mini’s with her frame from the Decepticon.

“Wrong move Con. Wrong move.”--Maxima

Maxima judo flips the Con and drop kicks him to Drift’s pedes knocked out.

“Where did you learn that kick?”--Drift

Maxima shrugged.

“Mulan.”--Maxima

“What’s Mulan.”--Drift

“…Russel! I have the perfect movie for tonight!”—Maxima

Grimlock liked Maxima from day 1.

She already seemed like a nice bot and boy was he right!

Of all the team, his favorite sparring partner was Maxima.

She could take in more hits and more time than most of the members of the team.

And did he mention how strong she was?

Sometimes Grimlock would start arm wrestling matches between the two of them on slower days in the scrapyard.

It was always fun to see how long each other would struggle to bring the other one down.

Bets have been made those days.

Bumblebee currently has the best luck in the betting pool for Maxima, which many don’t think its fair considering that he has known Maxima for longer, therefore, knows more about her than they do.

Drift and Sideswipe are tied at the bottom of the betting pool.

Grimlock also likes how Maxima refuses to hear the team treat him less.

That being said…

The team has learned that the duo sometimes cannot be left alone for too long.

“Hey, has anyone seen Maxima?”--Bumblebee

“Now that you’ve said it, I haven’t seen Grimlock either.”--Russel

“I’m sure they’re fine.”--Denny

BOOM!

Grimlock comes in running fast in.

“Coming through!”--Grimlock

Bumblebee quickly grabbed Denny and Russel and moved out of the Dinobot’s way.

“Grimlock!”--Bumblebee

“Sorry! Gotta catch this time!”--Grimlock

“Catch wh—”--Denny

Maxima comes descending from the sky.

Grimlock dives and manages to catch her in his arms.

“You finally caught me Grimmy!”--Maxima

Grimlock has a huge smile on his faceplate.

“Now its my turn!”--Grimlock

“Grimlock no!”—Bumblebee and Denny

“Grimlock yes!”—Maxima and Grimlock

Grimlock, with Maxima still in his arms, runs back the same way they came in.

Bumblebee sighs tiredly but lets out a soft smile.

“I’d just like to think what Optimus would say right now if he say her like this.”—Bumblebee

“Why Optimus exactly?”—Denny

“Oh yeah you two don’t know. Maxima is Optimus’s daughter.”—Bumblebee

“SHE’S WHAT!?”—Denny and Russel

Hey me again maybe a few more interactions with team bee and old Predacon buddy maybe a bit more hijinks and stuff and maybe seeing prime again Predacon buddy will most likely berate Optimus and then hugging him because of them missing their Orion pax basically just overall acting like a mother hen and just overall fretting over team bee

I went with a little reunion with Buddy and Optimus... then I had a little fun with it.

Bot Buddy the Old Predacon reunites with Optimus Prime

RiD 2015

Buddy was with the rest of the team fighting this ‘Megatronus’ character.

They were not impressed by the name.

Buddy and Grimlock took over most of the heavy hits and hitting, but even Buddy was struggling against the mysterious mech.

They blamed it on the age and years of damage to their frame.

Oh, they would have given for some years shaven off right about now.

Megatronus was going to get the jump on Bumblebee when Buddy tackled him.

The mech easily got them off and slammed them to the ground.

Buddy was very familiar with wounds after years of being in the arena and war. They know what a stab wound feels like, especially one near a vital area.

Buddy looking up at the mech with hatred in their optics.

Megatronus has both of his servos together raised above his helm.

“I think its about time to finally get rid of you Predacon scum from the face of this world.”--Megatronus

Buddy hears some of the bots scream for them.

All they can focus in was the sneering pain in their gut and the slow-motion servos coming straight for their helm.

This was it…

At least they would see Prime again.

A blur of red and blue tackled Megatronus down.

Out of the corner of Buddy’s optics they see him.

“Optimus…Orion…”—Buddy

Buddy’s vision gets darker and darker.

They could feel their frame get colder by the minute.

The older Predacon knew that it was a bad idea to close their optics.

But they were so tired…

They forgot to take their nap today and the ground below…

A little nap wouldn’t hurt right?

Buddy heard some pede steps heading their direction, but they had already closed their optics as the fading sound of yelling disappeared.

Buddy woke up with the sight of the last rays of sunlight hitting their face.

They groaned propping their elbows up a bit, flinching at the pain in their gut. Where the giant sword used to be was now replaced by some expert wielding. It’d take a bit of buffing out and coloring to get rid of that thing.

Buddy looked around and noticed they were in the scrapyard. Specifically in the section where they had most of their medical supplies.

It was quiet.

Too quiet…

Buddy swings their pedes to the side of the berth and tries to sit up.

That was an immediate regret.

“Primus… this is going to hurt like the Pits…”--Buddy

Buddy pushes themselves off the berth and stumbles to the wall next to them.

They slowly prop themselves up thanks to the wall.

“Now… where are the others…?”--Buddy

Buddy hears multiple pede steps coming their way.

They grabbed the closets object near them, which was a crowbar and held it tightly in their servos.

The intruding bot turns the corner and Buddy, out of pure instinct, whacks them on the helm.

“OW!”--Bumblebee

“Bee! Sorry about—Oof!”--Buddy

Bumblebee gets over the whack and hugs Buddy tightly, yet mindful of their injuries.

Buddy could feel him quiver a bit.

They patted his back a bit before he turned to them.

“You shouldn’t be out walking.”--Bumblebee

“I know, but it got too quiet and I needed to see for—”--Buddy

“I made sure they stayed quiet.”—Ratchet

Ratchet stood behind Bumblebee with his arms crossed with a tired smile.

Buddy’s optics widen in surprise.

“Ratchet?! Ratchet!”--Buddy

Buddy tries to walk over to Ratchet but the medic walks to them instead.

Both Bee and Ratchet try and drag Buddy back to the berth.

“You know what I’m going to say...”--Ratchet

Buddy does a mocking salute.

“Got it Dr. of Doom.”--Buddy

“Don’t call me that. Anymore moving and you’re going to mess up my wielding job.”--Ratchet

Buddy sits back down on the berth trying to hide the pain that flared up when they did.

“How did you get here anyways. Not that its bad or anything.”--Buddy

“I followed his signal.”--Ratchet

“Who’s—"--Buddy

“Mine.”--Optimus

Buddy’s optics widen when they see Optimus standing by the corner.

He slowly approaches Buddy’s side.

Buddy just stared at him in disbelief.

“I know this may be a lot of information to say all at once Buddy… but I am—”--Optimus

“Prime.”--Buddy

Optimus quiets down and looks at Buddy’s optics that had started to spring leaks.

“Just…just come over here…”--Buddy

Buddy opens their arms and Optimus goes in for the hug.

Buddy tries their hardest not to cry when Bee and Ratchet join in.

They really do try.

“I swear to the Primes above, if ANY of you wise bots decide to pull a stunt like that… Great I can’t even threaten you guys now, thanks a lot. There goes my reputation…”--Buddy

The four of them ended up catching up a bit before the rest of the team came back from patrol.

Finally, Prime was home.

Scowl stumbled quite literally on Buddy.

He was going to go to what seemed like an abandoned lot. He wacked a bin when he heard a yelp.

Surprised, Scowl went to the bin and saw a mini con pop out.

"Oh! Thanks for the help friend! I've been stuck there for a bit. Steeljaw wanted some more steel beams so I was trying to get some, but I got stuck! So, thank you again!"-- Buddy

"... Umm you're welcome?"--Scowl

He helped Buddy out a bit after seeing their pitiful attempts to drag any of the beams.

Scowl ended up bonding with Buddy while getting the materials for this Steeljaw guy.

That being said...

He gets attached really quickly.

Buddy is just so small and fragile looking. If he'd sneeze he was sure he would send Buddy flying back a couple yards. Scowl was bigger, stronger, and much bulkier than they were.

As much as he hated to say it... He has to remember how Grimlock handled smaller things.

He was not prepared for the untold backstory Buddy had to tell. He doesn't know what was worse. Hearing the story or hearing it in such a casual form.

"Wow! You're so strong Scowl! You remind me of one of my friends. He was so strong that he put a ton of scrap metal on me! I found a pretty slab of ions from that day!"--Buddy

"... You're friend... They tried to bury you?!?!"-- Scowl

"Yeah! But I'm telling you the slab was the prettiest thing!"--Buddy

Scowl has told Buddy if someone hurts them, to let him know so he can pay them a visit. That bot will be nothing but scrap metal when he's through.

Drag Strip

Drag Strip has had his fair share of peculiar friends.

Look at Wildbreak.

He met Buddy while trying to look for Wildbreak and the others. And he might have had another incident with ice again. Thank goodness it was just his pedes.

Bad news was it was his pedes. He couldn't exactly move well.

Enter: Buddy

"Hello! Wow you seem to be in a bit of a pickle!"--Buddy

"Yeah I know... Why don't you pass me that crowbar over there?"--Drag Strip

"Sure thing friend! Hey after this you want to go out for a drive? I know the best spots around here and the best shady parts too--"-- Buddy

"...what did I get myself into..."--Drag Strip

The next thing he knows Buddy becomes a third shadow. Second being Wildbreak. He is starting to think that he might attract weird bots.

Drag Strip is unnerved hearing some of Buddy's backstory. It's not something he expected.

You're so lucky you have friends that stay with you all the time Drag Strip."--Buddy

"I guess, but he can be such a pain in the afterburner,"-- Drag Strip

"Maybe, but I have to follow my friends everywhere. They usually end up running. They like playing tag a lot of the time."--Buddy

"They run from you?"-- Drag Strip

"Yeah, but I always find them eventually. Where are you going?"--Buddy

"I need to tell Wildbreak something."--Drag Strip

He is ready to throw down with anyone who decides to treat Buddy like a lesser bot. Drag Strip makes sure that Buddy is either with him or Wildbreak at all times.

Wildbreak

Wildbreak was looking for Drag Strip when he found Buddy.

They had gotten separated when the Autobots had ambushed them.

He ended up under an abandoned bridge when a storm came by. It had started thundering when he felt something touch his pedes.

"Excuse me? You're kind of crushing my tail."-- Buddy

"What? Oh! I'm sorry!"--Wildbreak

"It's okay! I don't like the storms either."--Buddy

"...It gets too loud..."--Wildbreak

After that night, Wildbreak is now best friends with Buddy. Even after they find Drag Strip, Wildbreak doesn't leave Buddy alone. If he is going somewhere, Buddy is going with, and he doesn't mind at all.

His spark breaks when he hears some of Buddy's backstory. He could never imagine his friend in these scenarios.

"You have so many stories Wildbreak!"--Buddy

"Yeah it's been a crazy time. But bots like Drag Strip make things a bit better."--Wildbreak

"Oh! That reminds me a story! One time a had this friend who put me in a box and, and threw me off a bridge! It landed in the acid wastes, but I got out of there before it landed in the acid. I saw the prettiest sunset that day. And --Wildbreak are you crying?"--Buddy

Wildbreak full on sobbing holding Buddy close.

"...no ..."--Wildbreak

If anyone came near Buddy with intention to harm, it is on sight. Wildbreak is ready to drop kick anyone who comes near Buddy. No one is going to hurt them while he's around.

Tbh, i could definitely see that “Who Framed Roger rabbit” scene with Steve being Ophelia’s conjux (and it may or may not be Soundwave or Sideswipe asking it)

In a nutshell...

HA! True and False!

True in how multiple bots have asked Ophelia about her relationship with Steve.

They are fully convinced that Steve worships the ground Ophelia walks on.

That's what they think, at least.

But later they find out that Ophelia also simp's HARD for her Conjunx just as much as he does to her.

These can go either way and they will still make sense.
