I promise losing to Yanqing is not that great but u are his biggest fan. One of the funniest things tahts ever happened to me was losing to Yanqing on Aventurines banner and getting Aventurine on yhe next ten pull tho. Son is lucky, lucky son.

i dont even remember what the circumstances were when i lost to yanqing that one time. it was probably a while ago tho. never forget losing castorice 50/50 to FU XUAN instead of yanqing. they should let you take characters off the standard list so i can only lose to him

OH U HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT . PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE RIGHT PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #1: he ice skates. & loves it too. i like to think he creates ice under his feet as he skates so he can skate literally anywhere... and as a consequence walks around with ice skates. jy stopped trying to make him wear normal shoes eventually #2: he is best friends with bailu (i mean theres like three official arts of them together) but whenever he'd see her escaped from the preceptors he'd be like well i cant just LEAVE the HIGH ELDER running around when ANYONE could be watching. she beefed with him about it at first (thought he was gonna take her back) but now they're besties #3: this is only true in some of my aus but he takes classes at veritas prime (ratios university) online classes ofc bc like this is the future ur telling me they wouldnt have online classes at VERITAS PRIME (since ratio wants to spread knowledge thru the cosmos) and hes ratios favorite student. bc i said so #4: again only true in some of my aus but he not only plays the flute but several other instruments including the erhu. he picked them up bc every time he got injured in battle jy would ground him for ages (like two weeks) and he was bored as hell #5: actually very insecure about the hcq. i love the parallels between him and danheng bc whereas danheng was held up to the hcq's sins yanqing is held up to their strengths. the defeat at scalegorge + the encounter w jingliu had him rattled for ages bc he both wants to be like them and not like them at all #6 (similar to 5): terrified of becoming like jingliu. hes seen what jingliu (both before and after the mara) did to his dad and the thought of being like her is terrifying. at the same time he wants to be like her, as strong as her, powerful enough that nobody could ever hurt him or the people he cares about. poor thing #7: actually internalized a lot of lessons from tingyun (as amicassador) since she would babysit him growing up and occasionally take him along with her to meetings/contract signings etc. he learnt a lot about subtle manipulation from her (and the general!) #8: you'd never expect it but this little 15 year old can play u like a fiddle. or the flute. i mean he was raised by JING YUAN #1 winner of manipulative little shit competition and babysat by TINGYUN miss 'i'd like to enter into a contr- i mean permanent partnership'. he only doesnt do it bc hes scared of messing it up and being a stain on the generals reputation #9: has and would kill for the general. not on orders ofc (jy would never send his son on assassination missions) but sometimes when an annoying official is bitching at jy too much (and yq can uncover dirt on him) its not YANQINGS fault the official goes missing. none of his business! he's a little 15 year old kid he would never do such a thing!! #10: he is working on qi techniques in order to use more flying swords but not ice formed ones! the ones he has in his collection. he started doing it after yunli told him 'u need to use uour swords your so neglectful' think the sword tornado thing from the heliobi event but instead of ice sword pngs its actual swords. #11: the reason his stupid little ponytail is cut so uniform at the bottom is because when he was a kid learning to use qi daggers he kept cutting it all jagged right there. so they cut it. even though he has a better mastery over the swords it just stuck bc he never bothered to grow it out #12: you would never expect it. but he's actually really really good at making tea. pairing it with food and everything like a wine conossieur or howver u spell it. nobody knows how he learnt this not even jy. he says 'it was granted to me as divine knowledge by the reignbow arbiter'
