More weretiger Zoro thoughts, with all of his thick fur Zoro sometimes gets overheated easily (kind of like Chopper in alabasta). When they travel to summer islands, as long as theres no danger to the crew inland, tiger zoro usually prefers to stay on the ship lounging in the shade. Chopper stays with him sometimes and they relax together, and when the rest of the crew gets back Sanji makes them cold drinks and treats <3

YESSSSS but honestly? no matter the weather he likes to laze on the ship anyway 😭 sanji usually drags him down to help carry supplies unless it’s sweltering. i think the heat really gets unbearable sometimes especially if they sail before zoro’s shed his winter coat, and he usually curls up in the coolest darkest spot in the galley; it might not be the coolest place on the whole ship, but, well. the crow’s nest is a boiler of death and sanji’s territory is the next best thing after his own.

chopper usually sits on top of him or sprawls out on the floor, and zoro licks him over occasionally to make sure he doesn’t overheat. he grooms himself too, smooths down his fur so that it doesn’t trap any air, sanji always laughs like hell when the rest of the crew gets back because it slicks down the rest of his body but leaves his head all fluffy.

zoro can’t complain, though. sanji’s slicing an entire salmon into sushi for him and the cook’s damp, clean hands are blessedly cool over his face and ruff.

(the kiss sanji drops on his forehead doesn’t hurt, either.)

Pierre has had the exact same routine every day for the last two months: collect his materials from the podium in the lecture hall, lock his office up, and then drive across town to Charles' apartment, where his fellow teacher has been laid up nursing his--no, their pup since she was born.

He has to keep reminding himself of that--that the baby is his, too, not just Charles', because no matter how many nights he spends in Charles Leclerc's kitchen fiddling with formulas and frozen dinners and adding sweatshirts to the nest in his bedroom, Pierre still can't quite wrap his head around everything that's happened between them.

He slides the copy of Charles' apartment key into the lock and doesn't even make it through the doorway before Charles is there, looking soft-eyed as he says, bashfully, "I could smell you out there and wanted to..." then trails off, gaze flickering away before returning to Pierre's face, eyes glittering with unspoken words Pierre isn't sure he's ready to try and understand.

"I figured you'd be with the baby," Pierre says after a moment--still standing in Charles' doorway, breath caught in his throat at how beautiful the omega standing before him looks, even as wrung dry as he must be from parenting their little one by himself for most of the day and through the night after Pierre leaves.

But Charles shakes his head, still not looking away: "No, she's asleep in the bedroom, and besides..." there's that hesitancy again, and Pierre's got half a mind to ask what's wrong before Charles continues, "I wanted to do this," and then surges forward, loops his arms over Pierre's shoulders, and kisses him square on the mouth.

how did you go about designing gemini mikey venus and jennika's masks? they look so cool!

Oh gosh what a fun question. I'm about to babble a bunch so I'll put it below a cut 'cause it's long, sorry...

The main motivation for giving Mikey a mask in the first place was I wanted him to have some design element that called back to the horns on Draxum's helmet, (kinda like how @evenmoreofadisaster's Two does) to represent how Mikey looks up to him and emphasize the importance of their relationship. I didn't wanna just do the same thing as EMD, though, of course, and that same design element wouldn't work for Mikey the way it does for Two, anyway. So then the question was-- how do I give this guy horns?

I ended up landing on "oh, I can give him a mask!" I referenced a bunch of different japanese oni masks for the design-- it specifically has 'X's' for eyes to reference his canon kneepads. :3c I hadn't planned to include Venus and Jennika when I designed Mikey, and ended up adding them in a bit later, but it always kinda seemed obvious that they should have masks, too...

I wanted Venus's mask to appear a bit calmer and softer, to kind of reflect her personality, and while I considered giving her the classic "mask tail braid," I also wanted to give her a bow (since all the Hamato Kids have one somewhere!) and keep her 'different,' so I ended up deviating slightly and giving her braids coming from the mask's 'mouth,' instead, to represent smoke, steam, or clouds, which is a somewhat common motif I saw when looking at reference materials for her.

For Jennika, I knew I wanted to give her a big ol' bow, and after a bit of experimenting I decided the best way to do this was to put the mask on the back of her head-- which I also found meant I had the chance to add the fun little design element of giving her 'horns' that sort of appear to be her own by poking out over the top of her head. She's a bit of a spit-fire, so she has sort of 'devilish' little horns to represent this. Her mask being on the back of her head instead of the front like her siblings is also sort of a reference to how she feels a bit less connected to their 'mission' than them, or at least, feels the devotion differently than they do. Venus and Mikey's masks, the visual representation of their relationship with Draxum and their 'divine mission,' is right in the forefront, covering half their faces. Though Jennika still wears a mask, her face is bare-- her mask is behind her, rather than being the very first thing you see.
