Because of the article she always shows to Eobard. But since the article is written by Iris it still kinda-sorta works as Iris/Cisco/Gideon, I guess...)

Ah, Irisco does sound familiar. So I probably have seen it before, I just couldn't remember. But I like Newsvibe better so I'm sticking with it. :D

Though, I suppose Newsvibe works for Gideon/Cisco and Linda/Cisco too since, as you said, Gideon is associated with news from the future and Linda - like Iris - is a journalist and thus a news reporter.

I actually thought about it before, and never got around to adding the AU! The general idea was that her daemon turned into a shark, and so she has to live on a boat, which she's very happy about, to be honest. She travels around the world on her boat, I suppose she could be a merchant or something less responsible aha. I need to find the post I wrote about it (it was ages ago), and add the verse properly 😅

Enthusiastic duck girl was enthusiastic. Racing ahead of her unexpected partner in this endeavour, not even seeming to feel the biting cold even though she was only wearing the thin shirt, sweater-vest and skirt that had been her most common on-set wardrobe (hey, it was comfortable and she'd got attached to it), Webby had quickly latched onto the most majestic-looking tree in the lot. She jumped up, grabbing onto the lowest branches, hoisting herself up on them a little to see how well they'd take her weight.

Pretty well, it seemed. Dropping back to the ground, she straightened her festive reindeer-antler headband and waved Nick over to join her.

How the two of them in particular had been picked to go collect the perfect tree for the Disney studio's big Christmas party, she wasn't sure; but she certainly wasn't complaining. It was a fun task - and it was always nice to get to work with someone new. She had known of Nick by reputation for a while, of course, but hadn't met him before this.

"What do you think? It's strong, sturdy, majestic... you know, everything you want in a Christmas tree. I don't think we can do better than this big boy."

So I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of this, but it's pretty safe to assume Kanade's mood can be influenced by sounds (hc: that she hears musical hearing and all, which means even pretty quiet sounds can count)

Let's say: Kanade hears a music box - she immediately becomes soothed, or a fork accidentally brushing against the plate and making a screech - it makes her brain hurt, and so on.

Now imagine, this rare occasion, where it's just her and Mafuyu. Kanade has just been rambling overall but is immediately abrupted by...

A giggle, a very soft but genuine laughter coming from her friend. That right there? Made Kanade want to hear it more, not only did it show Mafuyu healing but as a whole it felt like music to Kanade's ears. She needed more.

Ever since she'd always have this "Get Mafuyu to laugh" mission at the back of her mind, pretty certain it would escalate it into heartwarming situations :3
