Genetically if drow have evolved to have better vision in the dark to the point where sunlight hurt their retina they should also have evolved to be lightskin (like white white) because if you don’t need to protect yourself from the sunlight you don’t need melanin.

But it’s a fantasy world and you obviously need the evil savage drow elves to be black.

pro tip: do NOT try to paint "just a little" stain onto your ceramics at 11:50 at night. do NOT balance the box of stain (green) (carcinogenic) on the corner of another box to do so. DO NOT SPILL YOUR POWDERED CARCINOGENS at MIDNIGHT. it will take you half an hour to clean it up and you will feel paranoid the entire time. you will also lose several books that you couldn't clean up completely. and a towel. and some really good pajama pants you're sorry to see go.

I've got a massively bad sunburn on my back that's killing me. it's super painful, I don't have full range of motion of my shoulders or back because of it, it's fucking BLISTERING, and I can't even fucking reach most of it with the aloe gel because it's. on my back. and the worst of it is I can't even be like Oh well thats what I get for not wearing sunscreen. because I WAS wearing sunscreen. I'd put it on TWICE. and even had my friend coat my back and she went ham for my sake. why does the sun want me dead.

my biopsy came back and the mark is weird so they’re gonna have to dig a chunk of might-become-skin cancer out of my underboob and stitch my shit back up AND I don’t even get to be put under for it which sucks something awful because I’m a grade A wimp. gonna try and wire my brain to sexualize the procedure instead so we’ll see how that goes

alright having mostly played thru rain world (havent finished gourmand bc i'm not emotionally ready to be a slugpup parent, havent finished hunter and saint yet bc i suck at this game) im going to weigh in on the slugcat fur argument. i think they all have fur, however, i think its constantly way too humid on account of the daily torrential downpours for it to ever be fur-like in appearance, and is instead has more of a gel-like feel to it. like if the structure of the fur and whatever skin oils are produced reacted with water/humidity to form an insulating coat. saint, however, doesn't get the daily downpours and humidity is much lower, so it's fur is fluffed, which helps insulate against the cold. basically all of them are wet cats all the time, except saint bc climate change.

i am soooooo susceptible to marketing this is SUNSCREEN and it smells just like going to the pool with your babysitter who slathers herself in australian gold tanning oil when u were 9 years old. whipped cream that prevents skin cancers

#i realized that even tho i don't like ever go out directly in the sun for more than 5 minutes #i still get a driving tan on my left arm whenever the sun is out #so that probably means i should be more conscious of guarding her (my left arm) from the suns harmful rays for health reasons #i'll be damned if i get skin cancer before i get lung cancer #and i could have gotten a normal and cheap sunscreen but where is the fun in that. also i had a coupon #i can't stop sniffing my arm
