so there’s this guy that I’ve liked since July and he’s so sweet and kind and funny and everyone in my life knows that I’m head over heels for him😅

im positive he likes me back bc he helped me move (when he lives over an hour away in another state!), and we’ve held hands before (intertwined!), and we’ve met each others parents, and celebrated our bdays together, he watched my fav movie for me so we could talk ab it, I once told him my fav color is green and the next time I saw him he wore a green shirt and green hoodie and said he wore it for me (!!!), we danced at a wedding together (took a lot of convincing bc he said he’s a terrible dancer (he was right) and before I was dancing alone and later found out he was filming me the entire time I was on the dance floor!), oh and his friends make jokes ab us liking each other bc we’re kinda in the same friend group and it’s so so obvious

I kinda wish we were dating but at the same time I’m busy w nursing school and my job and other things and he’s really busy too and we live in different states (granted, again, it’s only like an hour drive), but we wouldn’t get to see each other much w our schedules and I also wanted to focus on me as a person. So honestly rn I’m just pining and enjoying being his friend and these moments we have knowing that rn nothing can come of it🥲

What book are you currently reading?

i don't know why i've done this but right now i'm reading like...three books at once. i'm not sure why because i never do this but for some reason it's become this but ANYWHO i'm reading summer of night by dan simmons (enjoying very much ! i love a good horror novel), the american roommate experiment by elena armas (i never do not finish a but but i might dnf this one i don't think it's really for me), and don't let the cold in by kelly parrack (i love ya mystery/thriller novels i don't know why but they are so special)

What do you usually wear?

it depends how i'm feeling...sometimes i am a sweatpants girl all the time, sometimes i'm a jeans girl all the time. recently i've really been rocking the jeans and since it's colder i like to layer stuff. i try to keep it somewhat casual idk. just got docs for christmas so i've been wearing those a lot but usually i'm a high top converse girl those are my ride or die shoes

i'm good at...being obsessed with things. IDK FUCK!! i guess i'm good at escape rooms (ohhh my goddd that sounds so lame but i am) and i'm really bad at like...everything else. i have such a hard time staying on task and managing my time properly

If you draw/write, or create in any way, what's your favorite picture/favorite line/favorite etc. from something you created this year?

you know i think i have a lot of favorite lines that i will fawn over (at least one probably in everything i write) because i try to get like one REALLY GOOD one in there but i think all time, the one that takes the motherfucking cake, is that line from closest to heaven. you know what i'm talking about. the one where josh says "I'm not a particularly religious person, but I do sometimes think that something divine had a hand in creating you." yeah that one. that one might be my favorite.

Dogs or cats?

i used to be anti-cat but then i GREW TF UP!!! come on people. i want both. i've never had a cat before but i definitely plan on getting one in the future. they're so silly and fun. i've always had dogs though, so i don't think i'd be able to go without those either. my dog is my bff <3

What's something you would like to create content for?

i think i have a lot of ideas for things and i will occasionally write things (that will never see the light of day) for what i'm interested in. i think the whole lore for the band ghost is so cool (even though tobias sometimes does make it the most ridiculous thing Ever). that's just an example by the way, i just think anything really Lore Heavy is so awesome and could be so fun to explore and write stuff for because there's So Much There, you know? i could probably talk all about that for a really long time but i will spare you

oh geez. i am always obsessed with something. recently i've been very into the group chat (isaacwhy, softwilly, yumi, bigt, larry, and grunk). i think they're some silly funny guys. also been pretty into cartoons again which is fun to try and attempt to heal my inner child. always obsessed with dr. pepper and music. been really really enjoying the new boygenius record. if you want to see more stuff i'm into, i would check the caard i have in my navigation post. i'm always forgetting something.

What's something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

there was definitely something !! there definitely was !! i just cannot for the life of me remember it ?? maybe i guess the like little two week vacation i went on during the summer ?? i knew it probably wasn't going to be the best time of my life considering some stuff that happened the year before but i still really like the daytime stuff we do, the shit at night bums me out (this probably doesn't make sense to you unless you're dev and you know the whole story but explaining the entire story to all of you would probably be longer than any fic i've ever written so)

I don’t read books that often unless I have to, but rn I’m reading A Christmas Carol bc I’m watching through most all of the film adaptations and I wanted to compare it to the book. After watching ~50 Christmas carol movies in like 2 months it isn’t really anything special.

I only saw a couple movies in theaters this year, but the first thing that came to mind for this was Sonic 2 which was NOT a good movie by any means but I saw it w my friend on the day it came out while we were on vacation and it was hilarious so I’m gonna have to go w that.

Seinfeld. Obviously Hetalia and by extension history (specifically Dutch + German) but every year around this time I get rlly into a popular adult comedy for several months, permanently altering my psyche and this year that is Seinfeld. I feel like my brain noticed that my life is going absolutely insane rn and decided it was necessary to deploy the SpIn.

What's something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

Ap European history. All last summer and the end of last year I was like “omg I cant wait to take ap euro next year it’s gonna be so fun I love European history and I’ve heard the teacher is awesome” and then the year starts and she keeps getting sick and by October (abt 2 months into school) she’s only been in class like half the days. So obviously everyone in the class starts getting rlly annoyed bc this was obviously not at all planned for at all as we’d been doing world history II work we’d already done last year the whole time, we are barely learning any new content, and our grades weren’t getting updated so a lot of ppl were failing the class. Then, the teacher misses 2 weeks straight of school and we’re all confused and annoyed. This goes on until one morning I’m eating my animal crackers and my dads like “hey did you know [teachers name]” and I’m like “yeah” and he’s like “oh well she just died” so then we spend like a month trying to get things back in order and getting tossed around the history department like a hot potato with anyone willing to teach us. Then like a week ago we finally got a permanent teacher and apparently we are like 2 months behind on content and we have to do a whole unit this week and a bunch of reading over break to maybe be ready for the ap test in may.

No, my parents aren’t religious so I never have been.

What's something you wish to have at this moment?

Free time. I have so many projects and tests this week it’s crazy. It’s ~9:30pm my time as I’m writing this and I’ve used pretty much all my free time since I woke up making this post.

arvin wakes up with his usual frown on his face. he presses his lips into a line, staring at the wall ahead as warm summer sun and breeze creep through the window. it’s a big day, a special one that everyone is looking forward to. even arvin, for once. he’s eighteen today.

you come bursting through his bedroom door with the biggest smile he’s ever seen. arvin instantly smiles back, a toothy one as you tackle him in a hug. “you’re up! happy birthday, arv!” he chuckles and pulls you on top of him. “thank you, sweetness. got here awful early, huh?” “i had to!” you insist. you set your hands on his chest to steady yourself. “my baby’s a big boy now. how does it feel?”

exhaling a breath, arvin holds you by your waist. “uh, not sure yet.” his thumbs brush over your hips gently. “‘s only been a couple minutes so far.” “eighteen, wow.” you bite your lower lip and circle a finger over his t-shirt. he smirks lazily at you. “means you’re legal now. think of all the cool stuff you can do, and buy.” you’re pressing kisses to his clothed chest as he considers it.

“think of all the jobs ‘m gonna have to get,” arvin sighs, earning a giggle from you. “oh, arvin. don’t throw yourself a pity party just yet.” he fully sets his hands on your hips with that same smirk. “well, it is my birthday.” “the best one you’ll ever have. i’ll make sure of it.” true to your words, you crash your lips right into arvin’s. he’s quick kissing back and grins while doing so.

you bring a hand up to cup his jaw, keeping the kiss light and loving. he melts into your touch, the taste of your lip balm, holding you close to him as your lips collide. it’s not too much later when you’re breaking the kiss, and arvin gets pouty again.

“come on, your grandma made breakfast.” you smile knowingly, arvin pecking your cheek in defiance. “cooked up your favorites… everybody’s waiting.” “let ‘em,” he decides, gripping at your thighs and attempting to connect your lips again. you laugh softly, but only let them brush yours. “arv, baby. she made it really nice for you.” arvin raises an eyebrow to silently tell you to continue.

➞ he usually sends you a simple good morning text, so to receive a voice message with more than just a ‘good morning’? you legit thought you were still dreaming

➞ you two usually meet at the school gates, but today was different; he greeted you at your doorsteps with the dorkiest smile a person could ever muster, and a big bouquet of your favourite flowers in his free hand

➞ if akaashi was being completely honest, he didn’t even want the others to know that it’s your bday since he wanted it to be a special occasion that you two would celebrate privately; but he realized that he would be such a selfish boyfriend, so now he’s just enduring the slight hint of jealousy he feels with the massive amount of attention that you’re getting (bcause he still wanted you to pay lots of attention to him, not the other guys wishing you a happy bday🥺)

➞ he made you a bento box filled with your favourite food that he all made from scratch — most of it were shaped into hearts; he also fed you, which again, is sooo out of character for him (pls appreciate his efforts)

➞ the teacher asked you to stay after classes to help them with something, and so you couldn’t hang out with the vbc like you usually do after school, but akaashi ofc stayed behind for you since there wasn’t a volleyball practice scheduled

➞ when you finally got done, he asks you if you wanted a piggy-back ride and hang out at his house for a bit — ofc you accept — and now he’s carrying you back to his place with the smallest and softest smile on his lips (he was having so much heart palpitations from nervousness, omg help the poor boi)

➞ okay, so i won’t lie, they planned a surprise bday party for you; the reason why the vbc left early was to prepare it at akaashi’s house, and they actually asked the teacher to make you stay a lil’ longer since they needed time to prepare

➞ but the thing is, when you neared his house, you heard an oh-so familiar muffled voice screech “y/n’s here! she’s he—“ and you see bokuto’s figure getting dragged away from the living room window 😭 so much for a surprise... but he’s just really excited as well, okie?

➞ akaashi sighs and asks you to pretend that you didn’t hear nor see that since the vbc (and him, but he didn’t want to say that) worked really hard for the bday surprise

➞ so you turn the knob, akaashi behind you, and you haven’t even fully opened the door but you’re already tackled in a bear hug by yukie, konoha, and bokuto — akaashi catches you from behind to stabilize your stance again and he literally had the deadliest glare set on the trio, so ofc they back away but not too suspiciously

- patroclus & achilles see percy and see his wide bright sea-green eyes looking up at them and they mirror achilles’ spearmint green eyes and reminds achilles of patroclus’ skops nickname, and percy’s hair is dark like patroclus’ and is tan like him too and he has a giggle that is like a melody and both of them think. okay he is ours and then they get told that his name is “perseus” aka the only demigod that lived a long & safe life and they have a sense of relief and think. wow he really is ours

- on the ride home percy is a little quiet but he has a sense of happiness and can’t really put it into words, and patroclus holds percy’s tiny little hand and tells him that they’re all gonna be a family and tells him how lucky he & achilles feel that they have a beautiful joy in their life and perseus smiles and achilles is driving and trying not to cry bc he can see how beautiful a son perseus is going to be and how beautiful a dad patroclus already is

- now. patroclus would be the kind, soft, warm, empathetic, semi-strict parent who always gives the best advice, wants there to be a two way street of trust, honesty, and respect and he is such a soft dad and achilles would be the fun, wild card, dorky dad who protects his child with a fervor and relates to perseus & is very loving just like patroclus and is Iike the best friend dad, and the entire time they’re both so loving to percy & sometimes patroclus is rolling his eyes playfully and is like “i’m raising TWO kids” after perseus & achilles have blue paint on themselves after making an art project for patroclus that he looks at & admires and tears up at while putting it on the wall :’)

- percy calls them lily & pat sometimes and they call him perse, perseus, and cici <3

- they all like to celebrate the holidays and they give each other valentine’s day cards and patrochilles put a stuffed animal, his favorite candy, and some lil extra presents on percy’s bed after he comes from school. on halloween they dress percy up like a lil guppy and pat has his pumpkin costume and achilles w his greek god costume & they all go trick or treating and both percy & achilles ask for candy while pat is just chastising achilles and telling him “you better share w perseus” hehe and on christmas it’s filled w love, laughter, cheer, & tons of presents on all sides :’) percy gives them homemade drawings and the sweetest cards and patrochilles give him a photo framed of all three of them + their golden retriever puppy chiron, a polaroid, and a certificate saying that they adopted a baby seal in perseus’ name <3

- they keep every little card that they give each other and they have scrapbooks and albums and they want to carry these memories forever :’) and omg when it’s percy’s bday it is simply WILD! fast forward a couple years later it’s so much fun and they eat cake and have a great summer picnic outside w all of percy’s friends and yes everyone is checking achilles & patroclus out bc they’re valid and they all have such a grand ol’ time :’) annabeth, jason, frank, hazel, and will talk to patroclus a lot and piper, leo, nico, reyna, and thalia talk to achilles a lot and they all intermingle and percy is just so happy that everyone is getting along and they all tell him that his dads are the coolest and so kind and funny and he feels a rush of pride

- also patrochilles are DILFs. no i will not elaborate and i will not allow someone to disagree with me. they’re DILFs and it’s time to accept it and honor it (achilles a proud DILF, patroclus rolling his eyes while blushing when he gets called that)

- fast forward to many years later and perseus has went through his awkward pre-teen years in which he talked to patroclus all about it bc he could relate and achilles was there to provide moral support bc even if he didn’t go through it he wants his son to know that everything he felt was valid and completely normal! now that percy has grown into his own he still knows that he can talk to them about his feelings but he also has a feeling of confidence in him

- i also think that every demigod has adhd so achilles can relate to perseus on that and patroclus helps perseus w his dyslexia and will stay up into the late hours of the night helping him with homework while achilles cuts up some fruit & figs for them to eat and he gives them both kisses and moral support and many needed breaks & snacks

- also fun fact a book percy has to read is by the infamous sally jackson who is literally patroclus’ favorite writer of ALL time and he’s so hype and he has written sally multiple times and is in correspondence with her and one time he was like “you should come by” and sally says “ofc!” and she ends up doing just that, she comes by their apartment and pat is Shook and mixing up his words and all that can come out is “i Love book” and achilles has to translate everything he says and perseus tells her how much he admires her writing and how the hell did she come up w the idea of gods & demigods and how did she have prose so beautiful while speaking of them? and sally just winks and percy smiles and feels like he understands :’) towards the end sally leaves and made sure to sign all of pat’s books and gives them a bust of poseidon who is her favorite god & he nearly passes out and she gives perseus a trident necklace that he will wear forever bc he knows it means something to her and for some reason, it means something to him too

- and LISTEN! perseus has grown into his own and is absolutely beautiful! he has bright green eyes and a lil eyebrow slit that he accidentally got while playing in the park in which patrochilles were so afraid but kept it together after patroclus patched him up, he is tan & tall w jet black hair with a deep & melodic voice, and he has the empathy, kindness, leadership, strength, wisdom, and badassery that was innate/instilled in him by his wonderful parents. patroclus the entire time is like damn those demigod genes!!!! making my baby boy look like a model just like his father smh what about me!!!! and achilles is like babe you’re gorgeous and perseus is like yeah dad you’re great

- and achilles and patroclus do a double take bc the entire time leading up to this percy never really called them dad he just called them nicknames or petnames and all of sudden the dam breaks and everyone is crying and hugging and achilles and patroclus both give percy the biggest kiss on either side of his cheek and percy’s face is being Squished but he doesn’t mind bc he can feel their love :’)

- and lemme tell y’all something achilles had a feeling his baby boy was a demigod after seeing all those monsters and creatures and patroclus could always see through the mist and growing up they wanted him to have a normal life, but achilles wanted percy to be able to protect himself so he taught percy how to fight & patroclus taught him stuff that he learned from medical school and how to patch himself/others up & percy is very well versed in all aspects and is very grateful for this

- percy is a troublemaker and sarcastic little shit who loves to curse and he really gets that from achilles & he is also sensitive, warm, empathetic and in touch with his emotions and he gets that from patroclus and he is the true lovechild of both of those dorks

I know I literally just said I don’t typically post fic on Sundays, but it’s a special occasion! Also, I wrote this in like 30 minutes, so, sorry.

Jens stumbled into the living room, greeted with cheers from the boys.

“You made it!” Moyo said, clapping Jens on the back, and Jens catapulted forward a step, thrown off-balance by the sheer amount of alcohol coursing through his body. “We thought maybe you’d drowned in there.”

“Just taking a piss,” Jens said with a stupid grin, taking the beer Moyo pressed into his hand. He didn’t know how many he’d had already—they’d started drinking early, and all the fries he’d had hadn’t been enough to soak it up considering how the whole room tilted when Jens collapsed onto the couch.

The girls were dancing to some god-awful pop music playing on the speakers, and Jens thought it wasn’t fair that Robbe was spending Jens’ birthday making out with his boyfriend, especially when Jens’ boyfriend was nowhere to be seen.

He was in Utrecht, Jens remembered slowly, blinking at the blurry lights. Lucas’ mom didn’t let him come on school nights, which was why Lucas wasn’t there right now, why Jens didn’t have anyone to make out with on his own freaking birthday.

The beer wasn’t enough, he decided, pushing himself up from the couch. The whole room shifted when he did, and he had to take a second to catch his balance before heading for the kitchen. It was technically a joint party, which was why the kitchen was filled with hot guys, Milan’s friends, and they eyed him appreciatively as he grabbed a bottle of vodka off the counter and took a swig, wincing at the burn in his throat.

“Aren’t you pretty?” one of them said, the one with bleached tips and glitter on his cheeks. It blurred into a shiny spot as Jens blinked at him.

“Back off, boys,” Milan said as he pushed his way through the crowd. “He’s taken.”

“I don’t see anybody,” the guy said, but Milan rolled his eyes, hands on Jens’ shoulders. Jens was taken, taken by an adorably hot guy who happened to live very far away, so very far that he wasn’t here to stop guys from hitting on Jens. Not that Jens minded getting hit on. He just wished Lucas was there so he could go make out with him afterward.

Frowning, Jens took another drink as Milan argued with his friend about what was taken and what wasn’t. He wondered if there were any busses running this late, if maybe he could find a way to Utrecht somehow. He wanted Lucas to be there.

This was his birthday party, though, and he was supposed to be celebrating. He wasn’t supposed to be sad that Lucas wasn’t there.

Shaking his head, he left the kitchen, wandering back into the living room where Jana found him, throwing her arms around his neck.

“Happy birthday!” she said, and he wondered if she was as drunk as him. She pressed a kiss to his cheek, loud and smacking, before stepping back. “We have a present for you!”

“We?” Jens asked vaguely as she grabbed his hand, pulling him past the couch and pushing through the people dancing.

Jens liked presents. He especially like them if they were money or alcohol.

This was neither as Jana shoved him past where the boys were gathered at the front door. Stumbling slightly, Jens tried to straighten up, his head sloshing pleasantly. Taking a breath, he looked up to find a pair of familiar eyes, a soft smile, pink cheeks standing before him.

“Luc,” he said, not even thinking twice before enveloping Lucas in a hug, pressing kisses all over his cheeks, his jaw, his neck, as Lucas laughed in his ear.

“Happy birthday, babe,” Lucas said as Jens tightened his grip.

Jens didn’t think he’d ever been so glad to see somebody as he was to see Lucas right now. Lucas was soft and warm, smelling like his fruity shampoo as Jens buried his nose in Lucas’ hair and sighed. The guys were going to tear him a new one later for being so clingy, but his drunk mind didn’t care. All he cared was that Lucas was here, not in Utrecht, here in Jens’ arms.

“I thought you couldn’t come,” Jens said finally, moving back to cup Lucas’ jaw instead. He was exceptionally pretty tonight, hair windswept, nose pink from the cold outside, a dusting of snow on his jacket. His lips were warm, though, when Jens kissed him, ignoring that Lucas still hadn’t made it down the hall, had barely gotten through the threshold.

“I wanted it to be a surprise,” Lucas said with a slight smirk, as though he’d known how much torture it would be for Jens.

“Bastard,” Jens said, but he didn’t care, kissing Lucas again. He’d be perfectly content to stay right there the rest of the evening, backing Lucas into the wall and exploring every inch of his mouth with his tongue, but Lucas laughing broke them apart.

“How drunk are you?” he asked, and it occurred vaguely to Jens that Lucas could probably taste the alcohol.

“The perfect amount,” Jens replied, gripping the back of Lucas’ neck. He didn’t care how drunk he was, how much the room seemed to move every time he moved. All that mattered was that his boyfriend was there, hands on his waist, warm and anchoring and smiling at Jens like he was an adorable idiot. “How long can you stay?”

Licking his lips, Lucas swept his hand through Jens’ hair, pushing it out of his eyes. “I told my mom I was staying at Kes’ and I’ll just skip school tomorrow.”

Grinning, Jens kissed Lucas again—he wanted to do this forever. He didn’t care about the party, that he was going to feel like shit tomorrow from all this drinking, because he’d still have Lucas there tomorrow. Lucas waking up in his bed, Lucas wearing one of his shirts, too big, draped over his frame, Lucas’ smile to greet him first thing.

“You need a drink,” Jens said a second later, grabbing Lucas by the wrist and pulling him toward the kitchen.

Milan’s friends were still there, and the one with bleached tips gave Jens another appreciative once-over as he entered the kitchen.

“This is my boyfriend,” Jens told him loudly, draping himself over Lucas’ shoulders while Lucas bit back his smile. “Isn’t he beautiful?”

“Gorgeous,” the guy said as Jens plucked the bottle of vodka out of his hands. He poured Lucas a drink, only spilling slightly and taking a swig from the bottle before setting it down.

“I’m taken,” Jens said simply, and the guy laughed while Lucas set his hand on Jens’ stomach.

“Come on, birthday boy. Let’s go say hi to your friends.”

“I’m taken,” Jens said again, this time in Lucas’ ear as Lucas led them back to the living room.

“Yes, you are,” Lucas agreed with an amused smile, and Jens sighed, holding on tighter. It was his birthday and he wasn’t letting go of Lucas, not for anything. Except maybe, one more drink.

Ohh I wish I could share my green tea ice cream with you! Which kind of tea is your fav? But ohh you like those fruity flavors don’t you? That reminds me of gelatos...and man I really love gelatos too ;-; Mango flavor is my fav. I’ve never had cherry-amaretto, I had to google that actually but it looks good?? Would love to try that.

My mom really only likes Chinese food so that’s usually what we get when I go to my parents lol. (Though I’m a huge sucker for all types of food/cuisine and japanese is my fav). This year for thanksgiving we did have a turkey though!  And then idk if you’re familiar with any chinese dishes, but we had duck with this type of white bread made for eating with it, black pepper cubed filet mignon, lobster noodles, lamb chops with vegetables, kung pao chicken, honey glazed walnut shrimp, some kind of fish anddd I can’t remember what else? :’ )

No worries! Long story short, if I recall my history correctly from grade school (so long ago lol), I think the story most Americans know about Thanksgiving is that it came to be when the first people who settled in America were given food by the Native Americans to survive the winter and they shared a feast with them. It’s also to celebrate like “good harvest” for the year and for next year. But I think as a whole when Thanksgiving become an official holiday here, it was just a day to give thanks. xD

aaah i hope you’ll be able to start your own little garden!! 💞 and YES, exchange students just always seem smarter, which is so attractive?? like they know more than one language and have a cool accent? also, they dress better than the fratboys i’m surrounded with askjlfhdalskj and omg yeah i remember hs boys. those boys are ick /: there were french exchange students who came to my hs for like three weeks every year. paired with the fact that i went to an all girls school, these really cute french boys with impeccable fashion and accents were the only boys on campus ever during the school year and thus seemed even cuter to me LOL and i really loved going to an all girls school! i liked the uniform aspect because i didn’t have to worry about choosing outfits everyday, but i also liked that we were all outspoken in class and unafraid of trying things that were typically male dominant. i was in the robotics club for all four years, and you can really see the skewed female to male ratio in the stem field when you go to competitions /: girls are a lot more confident and my classmates weren’t afraid to speak up. overall, i think the learning environment was much healthier and a better space to grow as a person :)

oooo how was seeing your friends? how do you all get to classes too? don’t the hallways get super crowded? aaaah i really hope we’ll be able to celebrate bdays in person soon! i’ll be celebrating two of my friends’ bdays over zoom on friday and saturday :’) does your school use a different webcam platform? ugh yeah, it gets really hot during the summer, but i’m just super grateful that it’s never humid here. and yeah, i’ve seen snow! there’s snow in california, but i just have to drive out farther to see it, like in the mountains :D i live in a coastal region that has no snow. do you have snow?

Lucas has been busy for the last few months, moving out of the flat and trying to graduate. He even forgets about his birthday. But that’s not too difficult, he’s not the one to count the day to his special day. 

It’s been years since the last time he really celebrated with a party or something. Usually he goes out with Yann to have something fancy to eat, get the most expensive cake slice he can get and eats it and that’s it. If he’s lucky, his dad will remember and send him some extra money this month and his mom will text, wishing him another great year with lots of love, health and God on his life. 

But as soon as he turns his phone on when he wakes up, he notices the day on the screen. Eliott is still sleeping by his side, Lucas is not sure if he ever told him  his birthday, so he can’t blame the other one for not knowing it and not waking him up to a cute, romantic breakfast in bed before class. 

It only hurts when he meets Yann and Emma at school and none of them seem to remember that it’s his birthday. But he is not willing to remind them either, going to his class. And that’s how the day goes: as any other day. 

He decides to walk home when he’s done in school. Nobody is around, in the group chat, apparently, all of the boys are already out, he’s the only one who had the last class. 

Yeah, ok, it feels a little bit too much like last year, when he was all by himself, not bothering to celebrate his birthday, so he’s not in a hurry to get home, just needs to get over his feelings. If he tells Eliott that it’s his birthday and he didn’t let Eliott know beforehand, he’ll be so upset and blame himself for not knowing, so he’ll just not celebrate it at all this year. 

Maybe the next one will be better. 

The music on his headphones is interrupted by someone calling him, Eliott. 

“Hi!”

“Hi, choupisson, are you coming home?” 

“Yeah, why? Need something? I’m like, five minutes away.” 

“No, I just miss you…so I guess I’ll see you soon.”

“Ok…” 

Lucas stops for a few seconds, putting his music back on. That was weird, Eliott never calls him just to say that he misses him, text usually does the job, but maybe he’s having a bad day and needed to hear Lucas’ voice.

He walks a little faster, worried, looking up when he gets to their street. Everything seems normal. The glass door to the balcony is opened, the curtains coming in and out of their apartment with the little afternoon breeze. When he gets to the door, getting his keys, he hears a few voices, but it seems like it’s coming from the other apartment next door. 

As soon as he opens the door, there’s a loud noise, scaring him for a second, opening his eyes right after the scare, there’s confetti falling all around him, all his friends are inside, screaming happy birthday to him. 

Right in the middle, there’s the most beautiful man, the man of his dreams, laughing and smiling proudly, pulling Lucas closer by the shoulder, hugging him tightly and kissing his face. He finally breaths again, still recovering from the scare, wrapping his arms around Eliott’s waist. 

“Putain, Eliott! I nearly died right now…” Eliott laughs, letting go of him, caressing his cheeks with both hands, finally kissing him. 

“Happy birthday!” Yann gets in between them, pulling Lucas for another big hug, followed by Arthur and Basile. 

It takes a few minutes for him to go around the house, thanking everyone for coming and receiving a bunch of gifts. He probably only got this many gifts when he was little. He’s finally able to come back to his boyfriend, hugging him from behind, interrupting his conversation with Alex. Eliott turns around, kissing him again. 

“Were you surprised?”

“Yes! I nearly died when I got inside.”

“You can’t die today, it’s your special day.”

“How did you know?” 

“Really? You thought I didn’t do my research? Yann and Emma helped a lot to organize everything.” 

“I love you. Thank you for this, it’s…the best thing ever, nobody ever did this much for me, you’re too good to be true.” 

“I love you more. Let’s enjoy you party, baby!”
