Causing himself to mourn.

Giving way to the unborn.

And the 5th Prince who's soul

Will be the one to save them all.

The 1st Prince will leave,

Thrown to be exiled.

The 2nd Prince dies next,

Cut by Death's scythe.

The 3rd Prince will lose

All the sanity left in his mind.

The 4th Prince cannot rest,

So he becomes the guide.

And the 5th Prince will grow

To be just and kind.

The 1st Prince will wander,

Walking around the world.

The 2nd Prince ends up in hell,

Scourged with cruelty and burned.

The 3rd Prince will be locked

Known to be the kingdom's fool.

The 4th Prince, well,

He will stay and observe.

As the 5th Prince know

All there is to learn.

The 1st Prince falls third,

As he died with exhaustion.

The 2nd Prince welcomes

His brother to damnation.

The 3rd Prince begged

For his own execution.

The 4th Prince ascends

Into heaven's salvation.

And the 5th Prince, ready

To bring glory to his nation.

The 1st Prince accepts

Eternal suffering as a sinner.

The 2nd Prince will meet

All who are just like him, a killer.

The 3rd Prince will be released

Under his brother's order

While the 4th Prince brings light

To all of the believers

As the 5th Prince is crowned

To be the King and savior.

like TDP's stage motif is so good and so underrated like what do you mean "destined to play right into my hands" right before a puppet callum bows at the end of a monologue is there, because you can play a game and play a role?

what do you mean the "in the name of love" theme is couched "you will perform acts so unforgivable" and "taking on hard choices and going to dark places is an act of love"?

what do you mean callum finds himself "on a stage with no audience" in his dark magic dreams and the way the dreamer is continually under a spotlight as they reckon with their choices and justifications? and it's called "a dark place" to boot?

what do you mean "aaravos chose as his instruments" is said a literal episode after we get the in-universe song of "a song of love and loss" like those aren't the two things that have continually pushed the cycle literally forward? that aaravos is all about manipulation and performance, and so is finnegrin? "the chains are just for show"?? "that was quite a display"!!

Wilhelm, being the only character in the show to break the fourth wall, is really important to me because I take it as a sign that he's the one telling this story. It's his story, and he's aware, and allowing us to veiw it. It's a very large juxtaposition to the actual story, where we see his boundaries being repeatedly broken, and one of his main struggles is the fact that he can not handle the stress of being known as Crown Prince and being perceived. For the first two seasons, especially the first season, any time Wille breaks the fourth wall It's almost calling us as an audience out. It's like we're looking at something we shouldn't, because every time Wille looks so disaprooving, but that last 4th wall break at the end, he finally smiles at us, finally accepts sharing this part of him now that he isn't tied down by these obligations of being Crown Prince.
