Tbh I don’t know who cracks me up the most: Tengen and Kyojuro being a menace together, Giyuu the typical outsider or poor Sanemi barely hanging in there

One of the things that really stood out to me about the Hashiras and the Kamaboko squad, beyond their amazing character designs, heart-wrenching stories, and impressive powers, is how the story chose to portray them as eccentric individuals who go against the norm in both looks and behavior. This might be because 'different' characters are naturally interesting and memorable, but I think it’s also to show them as misfits.

These characters face a lot of mental, physical, and social challenges. They fight for change and protect the weak, standing up against the powerful few. This is a refreshing contrast to many modern stories where 'heroes' just uphold the status quo.

They're not preachy or out of touch. They've been through a lot of suffering and hardships themselves. But instead of spreading more pain, they choose to serve and protect others.

What if Tanjiro didn’t go to the village that day, but it was Takeo and he convinced Kei to let him take Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta with him?

It was a snowy day on Mount Kumotori, Takeo Kamado, the third oldest of the Kamado clan had finished Cutting wood with help from his younger sister and brothers.

They were packing a basket of Coal to take to the village when their mother walked over to them “I’m so proud of you four.” She said with a gentle smile “Thank you mom.” Takeo said, placing the basket on his back “Are you sure you can handle your little brothers and sister on the trip?” Kei Kamado asked with concern as she wiped soothe from her little one’s faces much to Takeo’s annoyance but his three younger siblings didn’t mind “Don’t worry mom, I’ve watched Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta plenty of times when you, Big bro and big sis are very busy.” Takeo said while adjusting the basket of Coal on his back “Yes, and I promise to help with Shigeru and Rokuta while helping Nii Chan Takeo sell coal.” Hanako said, adjusting the milky white sling with a giggling Rokuta on her back with a small basket of coal in hand “And I promise to help Big bro Takeo and big sis Hanako sell the coal to.” Shigeru said with a smile and adjusting the smaller basket of coal on his back making Kei smile and tear up “If only your father was still here.” Kei said, hugging her younger children who hugged back as she kisses their heads “Guys, seriously I can take the coal.” Said the eldest son of the Kamado clan “And I can handle Rokuta.” Said the eldest daughter of the Kamado clan “Tanjiro Nii! Nezuko Nee! You two are in no condition to be out of bed.” Hanako lightly scolded her eldest siblings who began coughing “Yeah, go back to bed big bro and sis! We can handle the coal.” Takeo said walking up to his older siblings “Yeah and we’ll bring you guys sweets like you do for us.” Shigeru said, making the maroon haired boy and older raven haired girl smile “Thanks guys.” Tanjiro said as he and Nezuko patted their heads “Can you guys stop, you two are only two and three years older than me.” Takeo huffed while puffing his cheeks much to everyone’s amusement “Alright, why don’t you guys get a move on before it reaches noon.” Kei said ushering her two eldest children into the house “Ok, see you tonight or in the morning if old man Saburo ask us to stay in his house.” Takeo said, taking Shigeru’s hand “Be careful.” Kei called out while waving to her younger children “We will.” Hanako said.

By the time the four children made it to the village, it was noon.

The town was as busy as any other day with people walking around, vendors selling goods and the smell of food in the air.

When the four younger Kamado’s got to the town they walked up to those who needed coal “Ah, you four are selling the coal today?” Asked an elderly woman “Yep, Nii Chan and Nee Chan are sick so we’re helping with selling coal today.” Hanako chirped when a commotion was heard “Hey, you four are Tanjiro’s and Nezuko’s little siblings?” A young man with a bloody nose asked “I’m being accused of breaking this plate, can one of you help me?” He asked fearfully, holding up the remains of the broken plate in a cloth “I smell a cat.” Shigeru said while sniffing the broken china “See, I told you I didn’t do it.” The man said “Hey, can one of you help me with this luggage?” An elderly man asked

Once all the coal was sold, the younger Kamado’s made their way up the mountain “Man, it’s getting dark.” Takeo said as he held Shigeru’s hand “Oh, I see Saburo San.” Hanako said “Hey, what are you kids doing out so late?” He asked with concern “We just finished selling Charcoal.” Takeo answered “It’s dangerous heading up the mountains this late, stay the night here.” Saburo said.

Inside the house, the children washed up, had dinner and were getting ready for bed while Saburo told them the reason why he stopped them “These Demons, they won’t enter houses right?” Shigeru asked “Yes! But the demon slayers will protect us.” He said making the children’s eyes sparkle in curiosity “Demon slayers?” Takeo asked “An organization dedicated to stopping demons! Now it’s time for bed.” The old man said exiting his guest room.

The next morning:

Upon bidding farewell to Saburo, the children made their way back to their family home.

Seeing the house from a clearing! Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta felt happy to be home but Takeo felt something off “Something doesn’t feel right.” The third eldest Kamado child said “What do you mean Onii Chan Takeo?” Shigeru asked, tilting his head to the side as they made their way to the opened door when terror filled Takeo making him drop the box of sweets he and Hanako brought, for standing over their mother was their big siblings and six more people.

A man wearing a western suit with his black hair hidden under a white fedora walked over to the children “Aww, there were four more.” He said with malice in his blood red eyes “I’ll make it as quickly as I can.” He said raising a clawed hand ‘are these the demons Mister Saburo was telling us about last night?’ Takeo thought, closing his eyes tightly and holding his three younger siblings closely, waiting for the pain to come, Takeo slowly opened one eye for the pain didn’t come yet, looking up he saw the demon stopped dead in his tracks “Tsk, a demon slayer is near! COME ON YOU BRATS.” He shouted to their older siblings and the other five young demons “Yes master Muzan.” All of them said together “I’ll finish you four another time.” The demon, Takeo heard Nezuko, Tanjiro and the other five demons call Muzan threatened.

Once the demons disappeared, a man wearing a mix match haori ran out of the forest and towards their house “Tsk, I lost the demons.” He said with irritation in his cold voice until he saw the four siblings huddled into each other and crying making the man sigh “I’ll help burry your mother!” Takeo heard the man say “Thank you mister.” Takeo said “Giyuu, Giyuu Tomioka.” Giyuu answered “After we’re done I’ll take you four with me.” He said when another voice is heard “Tomioka, we weren’t expecting to find you here.” Said a loud voice.

Looking outside, Takeo saw three more men, one had flaming hair and he wore a white cloak with a flame design at the end.

The other had milky white hair with almond shaped lavender eyes, multiple scars adorned his body and he wore a plain white haori.

The last man had short ink black hair with split colored eyes (one being yellow with the other being green), bandages over his mouth, a black and white striped haori and a snake around his neck.

They made their way over to the house but stopped at the sad sight “Oh my.” The flame guy said “Great, just fantastic.” The white haired man said in anger sarcasm while the snake man looked towards the Kamado kids.

Once Kei was buried! Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta are in tears with Takeo trying to console them as Giyuu talked to the men they now know as Sanemi, Kyojuro and Obanai.

Inside the house, the four children and men sat down with the four slayers talking and the four remaining siblings eating the sweets they brought while sharing with the four men in their home “Demons were here?” Sanemi asked in shock “Did you kill them?” Obanai asked with annoyance “They went away before I got to them.” Giyuu answered while shaking his head “At least these children are safe.” Kyojuro said while glancing at Takeo who was able to calm his three little siblings with the lullaby their mother use to sing to them “They’re coming with us.” Giyuu said, earning the attention of his fellow slayers “WHAT, are you insane?” Sanemi asked lowering his voice “He’s right, the corps is no place for children especially a toddler.” Obanai said glancing down at little Rokuta who is curiously staring at Kaburamaru

“What choice do we have?” Giyuu asked “Please take us with you, that Muzan guy said he’ll finish us another time.” Takeo pleaded with tears making the four men shock “What did you just say?” Obanai asked slowly “That Muzan guy said he’ll finish us another time.” Takeo repeated “So this is Kibutsuji’s doing?” Sanemi asked, clinching his fist in anger “Looks like we have no choice but to take them with us, especially now that Kibutsuji is after them.” Kyojuro said looking at Takeo and his three younger sibling while thinking of his own younger brother “Alright, you guys pack lightly! We leave in a bit.” Giyuu said gently “Yes Tomioka San.” Takeo, Hanako and Shigeru said together, going to their shared bedroom while the four men stayed with little Rokuta in the sitting room.

After packing their bags which only contained the kimonos and Yukatas their mother and sister made them along with their father’s clothing that he wore when doing the Hinokami Kagura dance.

When they finished packing, they looked around the room one last time until they spotted a familiar pair of earrings “Aren’t those Tanjiro Nii’s earrings!” Hanako asked “Yeah, he must of taken them off before bed.” Takeo said as he puts the earrings on when a knock was heard, looking up they saw Giyuu, Sanemi, Kyojuro and Obanai with a sleeping Rokuta in the sling that the snake man had tied on himself “Come on, we must head out.” Giyuu said as Kyojuro picked up Shigeru along with his bag with Sanemi doing the same with Hanako, Giyuu picking up Rokuta’s bag and Takeo carrying his own.

On the road:

The walk on the road was quite peaceful, aside from Rokuta’s giggling as Kaburamaru nuzzled his tiny cheek, the sound warming everyone’s (including Obanai’s) hearts “Ha Ha, little Rokuta is so joyful.” Kyojuro said with glee while patting the youngest Kamado siblings head earning a delighted squeal from said toddler “So…How old are you lot?” Sanemi asked “Well, I’m 10.” Takeo said “I’m 9.” Hanako said “I’m 8.” Shigeru said next “I’m thwis many.” Rokuta said, holding up three little fingers “They’re still so young.” Obanai said with a shake of his head.

Sometime later at the Ubuyashiki estate:

The Kamado siblings looked around in awe at the place they were in until they spotted 5 people sitting in front of 4 more people “Master, we have returned.” Giyuu, who is now carrying Rokuta said “Ahh, Giyuu, Sanemi, Obanai and Kyojuro! I was about to send a search party for you.” The man with black hair in a bob and a purple scar over his lavender eyes spoked “Oh my, there are four children with them dear.” The lady with milky white hair in a ponytail said looking to the four young children with a motherly expression “Hello, I am Takeo Kamado, these are my siblings.” Takeo introduced with a smile “I’m Hanako Kamado.” Hanako said with her own smile “I’m Shigeru.” Shigeru said in a bubbly tone “I Rokuta.” Rokuta said in his toddler speech making everyone (But Mui and the 21 trio) aww to him “Why do you four have children with you?” A giant man with black hair holding beads in his hands asked “Our mother was killed by demons sir.” Takeo said, looking up to the towering man “You poor things.” A very pretty lady with long pink fading to green hair in tri braids said “I sense something troubling, can someone explain?” Ubuyashiki asked “Master, they have been in contact with Muzan Kibutsuji and their older siblings were turned!” Giyuu said, making the room freeze “WHAT, BUT THEIR JUST KIDS.” The tall white haired man with many accessories said in shock “Oh my, at such young ages to.” The other pretty lady with black fading to purple hair being held in place by a butterfly hair ornament said “What are we doing again?” The boy with long black fading to mint hair asked while looking at the sky “You silly.” Rokuta giggled to the boy who was now looking at him with curious mint colored eyes “My four little ones, come to me.” Ubuyashiki said.

When the Kamado children went up to the Ubuyashiki family, the black haired man that Takeo heard the older people call Oyakata Sama placed his hands on his and Hanako’s heads with the white haired lady he heard the tall shiny man call lady Amane, picking up Rokuta and placing her free hand on Shigeru’s buzzed cut head “I sense great potential in all four of you, you will be under the protection of the demon slayer corps.” He said gently as Amane placed Rokuta in his arms “So, they will be staying here master?” The butterfly lady said “Yes Shinobu San, but they will need an examination at the butterfly estate first and will be living with Giyuu San.” Ubuyashiki said, placing his hand on Rokuta’s little head much to his happiness but the older peoples shock “Well, he does need to socialize a little more maybe these cuties will help him out.” She said much to Takeo’s annoyance “I’m not cute, I am manly.” He said puffing his cheeks out “Sure you are little man.” The shiny white haired man teased, ruffling his fluffy hair ‘Oh great.’ Takeo thought in his head “Your all dismissed, why don’t the rest of you introduce yourselves.” Ubuyashiki said, slowly getting up with help from his wife as Kyojuro gently took Rokuta into his arms “Come Youngest Kamado, let’s join your big siblings to meet the other Hashira’s.” He said loudly.

The four Siblings all look up at the other Hashira in awe but they were even more amazed by the towering man holding prayer beads “Hello, I’m Shigeru Kamado! What about you mister?” Shigeru asked the very tall man with milky white eyes “I am Gyomei Himejima young Shigeru.” The giant man said gently “Hello, I’m Hanako! Your hair is very pretty Nee Chan.” Hanako said to the pink and green haired lady who squealed “I’m Mitsuri Kanroji! But you can call me Mitsuri Nee, Hanako Chan!” Mitsuri sobbed with happiness “Mmh! hello kid, I’m Muichiro Tokito! I guess I’m your new big brother.” The black and mint green haired boy awkwardly talked to Rokuta who is now in his arms giggling “Mui Nii.” Rokuta squealed while hugging Muichiro who is surprised “He’s cute.” Muichiro said gently patting Rokuta’s back “Hey little man, I’m Tengen Uzui! The flashy sound Hashira I bet my wives would love you and your siblings.” Tengen said with a grin “Wait, wives? He has more than one wife?” Takeo asked when Shinobu spoke “Now that the children know all of us, We should get them to my estate for their check up.” She said with that smile “Shinobu is right, the little rascals had a long day.” Sanemi said “I’ll take them.” Shinobu said “I have to prepare rooms for them in my estate.” Giyuu said with no emotions “We’ll help, your estate is so plain and un flamboyant.” Tengen said gesturing to Mitsuri and himself “Alright, you get the children’s rooms ready while I take them for their check up’s, come on you four.” Shinobu said, scooping up Rokuta from the mist Hashira “Bye, bye Mui Nii.” The toddler waved to the teen Hashira as his three older siblings followed Shinobu like ducklings.

My unwanted thoughts on the tanjiro and nezuko's trial

Tanjiro and nezuko's trial is something I have alot of thoughts about,and none of them are good.

I feel like people never talk about how horribly _unfair_ and downright _cruel_ this trial was.

because anytime this trial is mentioned,it is **always** about sanemi stabbing nezuko and _nothing_ else.

it is always sanemi stabbing nezuko. Not the fact that all of them were ready to execute both nezuko and tanjiro,who is one of their juniors and a _child_ without giving either of them a chance. Not the fact that these are 7 adults and not an **ounce** of sympathy for tanjiro's situation. Not the fact that they were talking about killing him and his sister INFRONT of him like they were talking about the damn weather. Not that rengoku said they should just kill them immediately with a smile on his face. Not that tengen asked to do the **honours** and he would give them a "flashy" death.(Love them both,but WHY is that never mentioned?left a bad taste in my mouth the entire MUGEN train arc and entertainment district arc). Not the fact that they were completely and utterly disregarding the master's orders by doing so(as if it shouldn't have been crystal clear that he,at the very least, wanted to hear them out. That there was a chance they were innocent). Not the fact that gyoumei straight up Said tanjiro shouldn't have been born?? Hello??

Sanemi definitely holds the most blame here but the rest of them certainly aren't innocent.

The only ones that get a pass are giyuu(because he was on their side and frankly went above and beyond to protect the kamados) and muichiro(because he's a child)

**And worse,in my opinion**...

It is never brought up again,not in any negative capacity, around anyone except sanemi.

There is not a _single_ apology from anyone. I waited the entire series for **one** to apologize. To even just bring it up,but it never happens. The story just forgets about the trial,even though there was ample opportunity for an apology to be made.

Muichiro, because of his switch up would have been inclined to apologize. Mitsuri, because she warmed up to nezuko very quickly and was one of the only people to suggest waiting for the master. Gyoumei,as the eldest and unofficial leader of the hashira. Shinobu, because she welcomed the kamados and grew to really like them. Hell even _giyuu_ ,even though he did nothing wrong in my opinion, could have brought it up as an apology for "not doing more".

It is never acknowledged that they did anything wrong. That the trial wasn't an extremely fucked up thing to do.

It is extremely weird to me, because kimetsu no yaiba,as a story, focuses so heavily on the theme of **accountability**,of taking responsibility for your actions. How even if you have had something horrible happen to you,that is not an excuse to hurt someone else .

How _understanding_ a character's motivation≠ _justifying_ their actions.

We see in every demon's backstory. How most of them were treated horribly,how some didn't ask to become demons,how regardless of how horrible their past is...they still die and go to hell to atone for their sins.

Because they have to take responsibility for all the people they have killed.

It was a missed opportunity in my opinion not to apply that to the humans too.

Are the hashira's reactions understandable? extremely. Are they justifiable?HELL NO.

What's even more disappointing is that it doesn't seem to have any effect on tanjiro.

I mean,he was 15 and didn't even know about the hashira,but is suddenly thrown into fake smiles,passive aggressiveness,and straight up death threats from his "allies".

You cannot tell me that wouldn't have an effect. That it wouldn't shatter tanjiro's trust in the corps.

Give me tanjiro not wanting to be in the butterfly mansion because he doesn't want to be around people who wanted to kill his sister without a second thought.

Give me tanjiro having nightmares in which they _do_ kill her.

Give me tanjiro feeling safer and more at ease around Tamayo and yuishiro(literal demons)than he does around his human "comrades"because at least they have never tried to _kill either of them_ . Because yuishiro's animosity isn't directed at him having a demon sister and is something almost normal.

Give me tanjiro keeping himself between tengen and nezuko's box at all times. Just in case(even though he is aware that uzui at the very least respects the master not to do against his order)

Shinobu- I wholeheartedly believe “dear” and “darling” are words she’d use on OCCASION.. she’d call anyone dear, but darling is where it gets romantical 😖

Mitsuri- “Baby”. It fills her with a rush of joy everytime she says it, and if you say it back, well now you just killed her!

Gyomei- I believe simply calling you by your first name is his version of a pet name. I don’t think he’d be the type to say anything like “dear”, “baby”, etc..

Giyuu- He’s interesting. Pet names would be so rare from him, and it’s probably always an awkward “…Babe”, when he does utter one! It’s so stiffly spoken that it’s laughable.

Obanai- Again, Pet names are rare, but they like using them to be romantic. “Darling” would slip out on occasion.

Sanemi- “WOMAN / MAN.” /J /J. I honestly don’t think he’d be a pet name kinda guy.

Kyojuro- Definitely not a romantic type, but he does like to say “my love!” In that contagious, cheerful voice of his.

Tengen- He likes simple pet names, but he is DISGUSTED by “babe” and steers clear of it. He prefers, simply, “sweetheart”.

Muichiro- Definitely not a relationship or pet names kinda person.

At least one of his Pokémon have the move, Will-O-Wisp

Kyojuro, alongside Mitsuri, does a lot of Pokémon Camp to perfect his curry cooking skills and his bond with his beloved team

Every Pokémon on this team except Magmortar are self-caught as Magmortar, hatched as a Magby, was from his father Shinjuro

His full team consists of Magmortar, Centiskorch, Arcanine, Salazzle, Chandelure & Mega Pyroar

Tengen’s team are kept in Timer Balls

Every single one of his Pokémon have one sound, music or singing-based move in their moveset

Mitsuri, like Kyojuro, does a lot of Pokémon Camp so she can bond with her team and test new recipes for curry

Mitsuri originally used Fire-types, since she was Rengoku Kyojuro’s student, but released that team for her current team

Her full team consists of Clefable, Mawile, Rapidash, Grimmsnarl, Togekiss & Mega Wigglytuff

Gyomei Himejima

He is the Rock-type Elite Nine member. Gyomei chose Rock because he views them as the most capable and sturdiest type

She is the Bug-type Elite Nine member. Shinobu chose the Bug-type as she relates to the species very much, small but speedy and skilled

Shinobu’s team are kept in Friend Balls

Diligently trained her Pokémon in medicinal arts so they can treat injured trainers for her when needed

Despite not being a Poison-type specialist, Shinobu uses Toxic quite a lot

Her full team consists of Pinsir, Frosmoth, Orbeetle, Vikavolt, Yanmega & Mega Beedrill

Sanemi Shinazugawa

He is the Flying-type Elite Nine member. Sanemi picked the Flying type for their big, intimidating frames and cool wind-based moves

Sanemi’s team are kept in Quick Balls

Owns a Corviknight nicknamed “Sorai”, that is regularly used as an letter deliverer and effective transport for the Elite Nine and/or Champion Kagaya

Sanemi puts high-percentage critical hit moves on his team to ensure the KO during battle

His full team consists of Mandibuzz, Hawlucha, Skarmory, Gliscor, Braviary & Mega Noivern

Obanai

Obanai gets thoughtful gifts for Mitsuri only and is pissed that Shinobu wouldn’t help him rig the pulls to get Mitsuri for the 5th time in a row. He tries to get nice and good gifts for everyone (even Giyuu on occasion). He’s the type to get shopping done early when the weather starts to change just to be extra prepared.

He ended up getting Muichiro a pair of headphones that are also noise cancelling.

He took Mitsuri out to dinner anyway

Muichiro

Muichiro…. he remembered to show up today so everyone was fine with that. He didn’t really know what would be a good gift and consulted Tanjiro on it since he knew Kyojuro (slightly) better. Tanjiro suggested getting him a flame patterned ramen bowl.

Muichiro ended up getting him a full ceramic set and a little owl shaped keychain.

Kyojuro

Kyojuro is somehow a mess and very organized when it comes to secret Santa shopping. Every year he goes through hell planning gifts- forgetting about them and then remembering and scrambling to buy things. And it always works out?!

He was very excited this year because Tengen always gave him the best gifts and he knew that only something flashy could match the flashy Hashira. Not only that he wanted to get something for his wives as well.

This man, got the gaudiest (fuck ugly) pair of sneakers custom made for Tengen. A horrific yet cohesive mess of colors and rhinestones and Tengen LOVES IT. Tengen is crying and already modeling the shoes- he will them for the rest of the party.

Kyojuro got a nice tea set for Hina, a book collection for Makio (disguised as a shoebox, I like to think she likes trashy romance and is embarrassed about it), and a giant 7ft tall stuffed animal for Suma.

For the first time ever, all three of them considered Tengen proposing to Kyojuro.

Tengen

Like Obanai, Tengen is also super pissed Shinobu wouldn’t help him get Kyojuro again this year. He plans his shopping ahead of time for at least a month and buys everything all in one day. He wraps it all in one day too.

Tengen admires Gyomei’s strength and fortitude, so getting a gift that represents that was very important to him. It only makes sense that the God of Festivals would get the flashiest and best gifts for his colleagues. So it came as a surprise to everyone when Gyomei opened his box to find several cat toys. Gyomei immediately started crying because he thought no one remembered his two cats. Tengen also offered to come over and set up a scratching post for them.

Sanemi was a hard person to shop for, even for Gyomei who prided himself on knowing good gifts to get people. The whole ordeal was really stressing him out. Especially since, Sanemi didn’t want to participate in the first place. Gyomei toiled over this for a long time before deciding to do something.

Sanemi opened to his box to find, sweaters. Hand knitted sweaters. They weren’t perfect but you could tell they were made with effort. Gyomei also motioned towards him, a hot chocolate making set with decorative mugs. Sanemi just stood a little quiet, then turned and said thank you while putting on the white and blue sweater.

Speaking on not wanting to participate, Sanemi hated the fact that he had pulled Giyuu’s name! He yelled- no- DEMANDED Shinobu pull again.

Being the brother he is Sanemi actually gets his shopping done in a timely manner and doesn’t stress over the holidays. He won’t admit it but Christmas time is a beloved time to him.

So imagine the frustration of getting Giyuu a gift. FUCKING GIYUU! The most punchable, antisocial loser imaginable! He thought it was dumb but didn’t want to get shit from anyone for just giving him a mug or something. What a pain…

He had to go to the one person that could help him now. Tanjiro…

Giyuu opens the box to find a light blue knit scarf with an ocean wave pattern at the ends. On top were two braided hair ties, one was blue and white and the other was red, yellow and green. Before anyone could say anything, Giyuu softly thanked him and tied the second tie into his hair. For some reason, they both looked embarrassed.

Giyuu

Every year Giyuu buys 5 gifts, one of Urokodaki, one for Makomo, one for Sabito and recently, Tanjiro and Nezuko. He functioned just fine doing that. Never needing to stress because he always had an idea of what they would want. Giyuu was the only other person who didn’t want to participate in Secret Santa because he knew Shinobu wouldn’t allow him to pull her name.

Giyuu was silently stressing now because just idea of getting Obanai a gift seemed impossible. The two didn’t get along he was sure Obanai actually hated him. Scratch that he was 100% sure Obanai hated him. It was far too late for him to back out however, everyone had picked and no one would trade with him (he was too timid to ask anyway).

And like the Angel she is came in Mitsuri who offered helpful piece of advice. Here stands Obanai holding a free meal ticket at his favorite restaurant (it’s actually Mitsuri’s) because what’s a better present to him than being able to treat her. Giyuu also brought a tiny sweater for Kabarumaru that had gloves sewn on to look like he’s holding his own glove and a coiled snake ring.

Obanai muttered a half-hearted “Thank you,” and you could feel the tension in the air soften as Giyuu released all the unnecessary pressure from off his shoulders.

Shinobu and Mitsuri,

Somehow got each other for Secret Santa! Knowing this they both decided to get a present they could both enjoy on top of the individual gifts. Mitsuri gifted Shinobu some expensive perfumes while Shinobu gave Mitsuri some designer dresses. They both decided to reward themselves with a trip to a hot spring the following weekend after Christmas and spend New Years relaxing. The same relaxing hot springs Tengen and his wives would be attending that they also invited Kyojuro to! What a strange turn of luck?!

Makes you wonder why Obanai is glaring at Shinobu so hard…
