This is so funny omg...
The thing about Luigi Mangione is that so many of his supporters think he did it, if they find him innocent then the rest of his life is just gonna be a re-enactment of Monty Python's The Life Of Brian.
"I'm not the Messiah!"
"Only the Messiah would deny his true divinity!"
"Okay, I am the Messiah! Now fuck off!
"How should we fuck off, Oh Lord?"

It's... Monty Python's Media Masterpost!
Here, my fellows, as I promised, are the links for nearly every Python content released and available on the internet (missing only the Not the Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy) complete oratorio and PDF versions of the books - including Michael Palin's diaries), for the Python-obsessed, brain-fried completist like me. If you ever need to have easy access to something, just click on the links! And if you or someone you know wants to get into the Python fandom, just refer to this post!
Enjoy!!!

I think a really underrated joke in bbc Ghosts is that, in Free Pass, the name of the movie they're filming is 'Life of Byron' (in reference, presumably, to Monty Python's 'Life of Brian'). They really do lean in to the fact they are so often compared to Monty Python

Whups, sorry my b. The harkerist thing was a reference to that one ask about book Jonathan accidentally starting a schism in the Vatican in the Hellsing universe.
ohhh
In that case, yeah, the Vatican still would not be chill about it. At all. Doubly not chill among the Iscariots
Alucard, meanwhile, would laugh his dead lungs out
Jonathan is hiding under a blanket somewhere, trying very hard not to live out that One Scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian

Is Drumbot Brian called that as a reference to Monty Python’s 1979 movie Life of Brian which is about a guy who kind of gets mistaken for Jesus. Is that the reason.

My asks are currently off!
For those who stumble upon my account... Hello and how are ya? You can refer to me as Yume, Dreamy, Floof, Jora, JJ, Roving, Gryph or whatever nickname you wanna give me. I'm a genuinely curious individual who sometimes gets obsessed with stuff that I eventually want to get engaged with or stuff that I have no intention of trying out, but I'm very fascinated by it. I'm also just a silly, creative 18-year-old Canadian who's trying to get the most out of life.
My general pronouns are she/her, but I genuinely don't mind you referring to me as they/them and he/him.
If you want to know what my MBTI is, I consider myself to be a mix between INFJ-T and INFP.
Some of my hobbies include writing, listening to music, reading books and manga, watching YouTube, occasionally watching movies, TV shows or anime, and baking and drawing once in a blue moon. For those wondering what kind of art I do, I've primarily been doing a lot of digital art. However, I've been using traditional mediums (acrylic paint, markers, coloured pencils, and regular ol' pencils) for many years now. Before we move on with other stuff about me, some of my interests include psychology, sociology, criminology, law, biology, outer space, mythology, folklore, legends, religion, history, internet mysteries, and lost media.
I have mild anxiety and continue to struggle with the lingering effects of a language learning disability and several delays in receptive and expressive language development.
Please do not send me asks for donations

If you want to start a random conversation with me or send random stuff like personal questions and memes, please send them to @floofgryph.
If you want to send questions about Metal Slug or my Metal Slug AU, please send them to @thesilliestrovingalive.
If you want to send questions about my work overall or send me a little something that won't spark much discussion like a positive message, please send them here.
If you want a moodboard, please send your request to @odysseyofmoods.

Rules:
I would like to stay anonymous for the most part, so don't pry me for certain information that I don't feel comfortable sharing. I'll only share bits and pieces of my life if I feel comfortable doing so.
Don't ask me for pictures of myself or I'll block you immediately!
Don't be rudely judgemental
Don't say discriminatory and sexually disgusting things
Don't threaten me
Don't tease me about who I am and how I act, even if it's a joke!
Don't spread accusations without any solid proof to me or I'll seriously demand you for it!
Don't spread hate about my friends or I'll tear you a new one!
Don't ask me for money/donations or I'll ignore you
Don't ask me to reblog something from you or I'll ignore you
Don't send me asks regarding real world crises or I'll ignore you
Don't send me reminders that I'm capable of remembering (e.g. a reminder to drink water)
Don't mention pre-existing fictional characters or other forms of media through the comments, reblogs, and inbox.
Don't tag me without my permission first! You're allowed to freely tag me in OC work, moodboards, important announcements, and moot/family stuff that doesn't involve a tag game. I don't like feeling pressured, which is stressful and discouraging for me.
Don't recommend me pieces of media I should watch and/or read because that gets under my skin really badly as I view it as a threat to my independence and freedom of choice. If you try to pressure me into a piece of media, I'll tell you off.
Please don't come to me to rant about your romantic partner or crush unless there's a real issue you need help figuring out.
Please be clear and patient when you talk to me. I'm still struggling with the lingering effects of my language delay and speech impediment.
I appreciate support, but I would prefer not to receive suggestions on what to do when I'm in a good mood. Sometimes, those suggestions can unintentionally add pressure and make me feel frustrated. I’m aware of my healthy coping mechanisms and trust myself to choose what feels right in the moment. However, if you have something to share, I’m open to hearing it. I’m working on expressing myself without coming across as standoffish and becoming more willing to accept supportive suggestions.
If you want to provide constructive criticism, give me more than one thing to work off of because it'll give more of an opportunity to grow.
Do not interact with me if you're one of the following (I'll add more if needed):
TERF
AI "artist"
Drug dealer
Porn blog
Sex bot
Pedophile
Anti-LGBTQ+
Pro-eugenics
Racist
Sexist/misogynistic
Ageist
Ableist
Pro-Israel
Misandrist
Islamophobic
MAGA
Harasser
Internet troll
Supporters of terrible organisations like PETA
Someone who invalidates a person's pronouns, gender, and/or identity.
Someone who supports, participates, tolerates, and/or justifies any of the above.
That's most of the stuff you need to know about me as of now. Anyways, as I mentioned in the description, I plan on using this blog as a way to share various ideas in regards to my personal writing projects. I'm open to listening to your ideas, sharing new ideas, and even constructive criticism! I hope you enjoy your stay here and I can't wait to share my ideas with y'all!

Thoughts on the BBC 4 Monty Python tv biopic “Holy Flying Circus” (2011) ? (+ fave characters/quotes/moments/scenes from it and why?)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! BEST PYTHON BIOPIC!!!!! I love the fact there’s loads of referances like basil fawlty thrashing the car but also a few slightly more subtle referances like “you’re not the nicest man in the world you’re a naughty boy!” and “runaway from the fight you chicken!!!”
I literally love all of the pythons! The actors all look so so similar especially terrys, for a minute i actually thought it was the real Terry😭 Their voices too! Johns was extremely accurate, it began to freak me out just how good the voice was….
I like how it focused on the whole life of brian controversy, i find the whole situation so interesting!
But yeah, 10/10 movie I LOVED IT!

Loretta from Life of Brian by Monty Python!!!
She's a feminist ("why do you always go on about women['s rights]")
She's canonically trans ("I want to be a woman, and I want you all to call me Loretta")
She has dysphoria ("Well I want to have babies!" and then gets upset because she has no womb)
For the rest of the movie people refer to her as she/her
added!

in monty pythons 'life of brian', loretta, a member of the peoples front of judea, comes out as trans, and is referred to as a woman the rest of the film. her groupmates, except for the first confusion, almost always call her loretta, and try to correct themselves most of the time when they get it wrong. life of brian is a comedy movie which came out in 1979 and takes place when jesus was alive, yet it has better representation and acceptance than most media nowadays

#loretta is my comfort character fr#shes such a diva#shoutout to monty python#litterally the best comedy group of all time#she starts crying when her friends deny her at first:(#BUT SHE LOOKS SO HAPPY WHEN THEY ACCEPT HER<333

I wonder how Monty Python would be received in the world of Yonderland (in universe I mean)?
Like MP is just as silly and absurd as the world of Yonderland, so what would happen if, one fine day, Debbie decides to show Elf, Nick the Stick and the Elders (plus maybe Negatus) some MP sketches/some clips of the MP films for fun and what would their reactions be?
I’m thinking they’d be like “…….is this supposed to be funny? It seems more like, what you call in the real world, a “doku-men-chairy”!”
And Debbie’s at first flabbergasted at their reaction and is about to defend MP with her SOUL when she JUST realises that “OOOOooohhhh! Right, nevermind!” in that silliness and absurdity is just considered normal in Yonderland lol 😂
Also idk why but I think Elf would be kinda disappointed in that none of the Human Python members are, in fact, actual Python snakes 🐍 (or, at least, Python Snake Puppets) and none of them are in fact called “Monty” lol 😂 😔
Idk, what’d ya think @raxacoricofallapatorius42 ?
Apart from MP context (this being our universe I guess ? With cars, telephone and modern technology) I think they wouldn't find it really funny.
I think they would see the Palin/Jones sketches as rather casual interactions between people (I mean a psychatrist who also sells milk and cheese ? A very dangerous barber ? Nothing but very common everyday-life things in Yonderland )
Perhaps they would be more surprised with the Cleese/Chapman sketches but only the "classical" ones that just involve people being horrible to each other in a normal context (the job interview for instance).
I can already see the elders enjoying the songs because they are PURE BANGERS AND THE ELDERS HAVE TASTE (I have to find a MP song for each elder)
I think they would enjoy the animations because I can imagine it as a rather popular Yonderland cartoon.
But they obviously wouldn't get any cultural or historical references ( they didn't understood Christmas after all, watching Life of Brian is definitely not going to help). So that would maybe confuse them.
I can easily imagine Ho-Tan or Choop feeling betrayed by the fact that the pythons aren't actual snakes. "THIS IS NOT WHAT WAS WRITTEN".
Elf would also find the lack of puppet representation in MP a bit racist.

Here's my Top 10 Reasons as to why you should watch the Monty Python biopic "Holy Flying Circus" (2011) :
10) Charles Edwards as Michael Palin
9) All the actors who portrayed the Fake Pythons are actually pretty well casted as, well, the Pythons, particularly Darren Boyd as John Cleese and Charles Edwards as Michael Palin, but I would like to say that that Tom Fisher as Graham Chapman, Rufus Jones as Terry Jones, Steve Punt as Eric Idle and Phil Nichol as Terry Gilliam are also pretty great too!! Each Fake Python each portrayed their respective Pythons' mannerisms perfectly TO A TEE.
8) Charles Edwards as Michael Palin
7) The music in the film is really great and memorable, especially the opening song which is pretty much a modern, electric guitar 🎸 rendition of the "Liberty Bell" song/intro song of MPFC, which is pretty epic ngl!
6) Charles Edwards as Michael Palin
5) This film actually has not only got alot to say about religious institutions and the people who represent said religious institutions, but this film also makes the important point about the difference between FREE speech and HATE speech, which is pretty cool imo
4) Charles Edwards as Michael Palin
3) Rufus Jones as Terry Jones as Mrs Palin/Jones the Wife/Michael's Wife and Charles Edwards as Michael's Mum is pretty much INSPIRED, also...they just look so pretty in drag frfr
2) This film pretty ships John x Michael REAL hard, like, REALLY really hard FRfrfr, so much so that it genuinely makes you think that film is actually Monty Pythonesque fanfiction cuz there's no way that any other film or TV show would ship their characters AS hard and as obvious as HFC. Like FR, this film pretty much made John x Michael canon frfr (I mean it's already canon igl, but i meant as in the film really obviously and blatantly confirmed it IN A VISUAL FORM)
Honourable Mentions before we reach 1):
-the Fake Pythons also play multiple other other characters in this film, which is a pretty cool reference to MPFC and the MO films fr!
-Tom Fisher as Graham Chapman being the MVP of this film fr
-the Terry Gilliam-esque paper cut animation sequences are pretty awesome in this film frfr
-Michael's Diaries make an appearance in this film, which is pretty cool fr!!
-the ways that the film recreated the Life of Brian "Friday Night, Saturday Morning" debate was both really accurate and also pretty epic to see!
-this film is, like Holy Grail and Life of Brian, is very quotable indeed 😎👌
and FINALLY.....
1) Charles Edwards as Michael Palin.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, and thank you for listening to this list!
Omg I loved reading this, thank you so much for this informative and very entertaining Ted Talk! I promise HFC is top of my to-watch list, I'll try and watch it this week if I can!! Your propaganda is working 🤣
Thanks for the reminder @yonderghostshistories ! <333
