Selected sections/summary of Esteban's and his Race Engineer, Josh Peckett's interviews in the Alpine F1 Team Inside Season 2022 Book. The book is in french so I used google translate.

How they met (and met again)

They met in 2016 at Manor. Josh was Pascal Wherlein's engineer at that time. Stuart Barlow, Esteban's Performance Engineer was also in Manor in Pascal's side of the garage.

They all met again in Renault at the end of 2019. Josh was Esteban's Performance Engineer then while Stuart was involved in the test program with the young drivers.

When the opportunity arose they all thought about reforming the team they had in Manor and Esteban pushed for Josh to be his race engineer in 2021 alongside Stuart as his performance engineer.

Their Relationship

Esteban: "There are a few people with whom it clicks right away. We understand each other very well. Age may play a role and makes us more on the same page (they are only about 6 years apart)".

"We're very close, I see Josh, Stuart, Dave and Mathieu, my whole team on my side of the garage, more often than my family. We have small dinners before the races. I also meet them in the simulator when I go to the Enstone factory. These are people I really like. They're more than coworkers. It's a big family."

Josh: "Given the time we spend together over the course of a season, it's better to get along humanly. It would be very difficult to work with a driver with whom you have no affinity. That would be quite embarassing even. I've been lucky so far, because I've always gotten along well with the drivers I've worked with. It is natural to respect each other's schedule. Esteban has a lot of commitments and obligations between races, so I know there are days when he won't want to talk about work. So I just send him a little message to get some news and it's much better that way. We have to find the right balance."

The role of a Race Engineer

A performance engineer will focus on two or three really specific engineering tasks. In comparison, a race engineer needs to have a more global view of the situation. They have to manage a small teams of mechanics, engineers, tyre managers, etc. There is a more managerial aspect compared to other more specialized positions.

A Race engineer acts like a filter for the driver. It could be overwhelming for the engineer to hear multiple voices in the headset and to know who to listen to first, and to quickly know what interests you at this or that moment. But it gets easier over time.

Communication between driver and engineer

Josh: "With Esteban, it's clear from the beginning. We try to stick to the essentials with brief and straightforward exchanges, but it's rare to have prolonged periods of silence during the race."

Esteban: "Josh has voice that carries and knows how to calm down, even though I'm still very calm when I'm driving. It's essential for us to be understood on the radio. Above all, he has this ability to anticipate, so that he gives the right information at the right time. ....having the data without asking for it is very satisfying. We save a lot of time when the engineer is one step ahead."

Forger Fam and WISE Budget😅

Sylvia’s current concern according to Endo: Balancing WISE Budget

I mean how couldn’t she be concerned when maintaining Strix is so financially consuming.

I mean look at all the expenses the Forger family has made in less than a year:

1.Anya’s tuition that costs about $35,000 to $40,000, and that doesn’t include the uniform and school supplies.

2.Anya’s clothes and she seemed to have new clothes regularly and Endo said these are mostly bought by Loid/Twilight.

3.That castle rent that costs more than $77 000 and added the other check, I'm guessing for the furniture they used, that costs $17 600. (Yes, it costs more than Anya's tuition fee, I mean it's a castle 😂)

4.Loid could also not just be purchasing clothes for Anya. It looks like he also pays for Yor’s wardrobe and Yor mentioned that he got so many clothes for her in the boutique before the Eden Interview.

5.Loid is also the one who pays for their dates, seems like, and his dates with Yor doesn’t seem cheap at all, they seem to dine at fancy restaurants that require reservation.

6.The big heap of cash he pays Franky every time he babysits Anya and Bond.

And here it looks like the check his giving Franky costs 20,000 dalcs that is equivalent to $44,000 (one dalc is quivalent to $2.20). It's even more expensive than Anya's tuition, what?! 😂😂 (Twilight is literally willing to spend a lot money just to be sure that Anya won't be home alone ever again, he's not taking a chance on her being kidnapped again when he left her alone on ep1)

7.Loid didn’t seem to also hold back in spending a good amount of money for their apartments furniture and for Anya’s bedroom and even bought her a lot of toys and picture books.

8.And of course their out of town/out of the country family trips featured in the Code White movie. Those must’ve cost a lot considering they have to book a hotel and all. And according to a movie spoiler from tiktok, that wasn’t the last time they went on a family out of town trip.

Loid Forger does have a high paying profession. However, according to Endo, his earnings as a psychiatrist were only about $140,000 per year, not per month, PER YEAR. How could he cover that much expenses? Of course WISE covers the rest if it was crucial to the mission, or when Twilight insists it to be. I mean he always says that everything he does is for his mission so the one who has to pay was the one who gave him that mission.

(Most of these expenses didn't even contribute to the progress of Operation Strix. It just funds Twilight into sinking deeper into his fake fam and keeps the family even more attached to each other😂)

Endo said WISE is not really generous when it comes to paying their agents but they seem to be lenient on spending their money on the Forgers. I mean they have to invest for their Top Spy's family and World Peace do depend on them.

So Twilight, pile the bills and let Sylvia handle the rest😂

aw thanks 🥹 ok so there's two stories in the book that i really like. the first one describes a world where time passes more slowly the higher up in altitude you go which is technically true in the real world but the effect is a lot more pronounced in the story. so everyone moves to the mountains or builds really tall buildings to live in thinking that they'll live longer as a result. then it becomes a status thing like the people who live in the valleys and lowlands are looked down upon. but the irony is it's all just relative. sure up in the mountains time will pass more slowly but only relative to down in the valleys. they're not really gaining any more time in their lives. in fact their lives become shorter because of the thin cold air up there and they start eating less and become unhealthy and aged before their time. i mean science aside it's just interesting to think about the lengths people will go to to run away from something inevitable then they end up making it worse

ok so in this world time is like a disc and it gets slower as you get closer and closer to the middle. again this can kinda happen in a way in the real world but that's for some other time. but basically you can walk to the center of time and when you're there time will stop. that means you'd never be able to leave but that moment would also last forever. so lovers would go there and kiss or parents would go with their children and hold them to stop them from growing older. but for people who didn't quite reach the center, just passed close to it, their time would slow down so much that when they got back to the rest of the world nothing would be the same. their friends and family would be gone and cities would be completely different. centuries would've passed essentially. so it's like a risk to get close to the center. but some people choose to do it to treasure specific moments. what would you choose?

it was more remembering than dreaming. i remembered our time in milan. how we talked about quickly passing by people and realizing that there's so much more going on in everyone's lives beyond what we can see in those few seconds of eye contact

yeah! and i thought that, knowing that fact, why aren't more people kind and thoughtful? compassionate. i mean most people are polite but there's a step above that that's rare to see. if we let it really sink in that we don't have a lot of time with people and life goes by so quickly, why shouldn't we try to be the kindest and most genuine versions of ourselves all the time? i'm not saying that that's who i am but it's who i want to become. and talking with you i feel like that's what you want too?

i used to think a lot about love and relationships. i mean i still do. and not just romantic ones. i remember thinking at some point that all relationships eventually fade or people move on and that i'd be better off focusing on myself, on my career. i thought i'd rather live knowing that i was really good at something, like you are at your job. i thought i'd rather live knowing i excelled at something people cared about. maybe i was scared of really opening up to someone and sharing my entire life with them only for them to leave and forget about me. but you helped me realize that that's ok. you said that as long as you had a true connection with someone, even briefly, that there's beauty in that. and that really stuck with me. it is all about connection. at the end of the day that's all we really need right? to love and be loved

yeah isn't everything we do in life an attempt at being loved a little more? i mean sometimes i feel this pressure as an idol to be a perfect role model for others, especially to other girls my age, and there's a certain responsibility that comes with that. i want to show them that you can achieve your dreams if you try hard enough and you don't really need anyone else. but then i realize that i'm doing this job because i love making music, spreading love in the world, and receiving it back. we do kinda need each other in the end cuz that's what being human is i think

It's funny hearing your voice again. Like, all this time reading your messages, I was just imagining your voice in my head, remembering it as it was when we met. But now through the phone it's not the same.

On the plane, when I closed my eyes to sleep, I could hear your voice. I think it's nice to know that you can just close your eyes and think about those you love, those special to you, and know they are real, alive, hopefully happy, in their own corner of the world, whether it's down the street or across the planet, and know that if they're closing their eyes and thinking the same, you're together in that moment.

That's a really nice thought.

But it isn't the same as having them near, knowing they're right there beside you under the same roof, under the same sky, under the same stars. It's not the same as just being able to turn to them and smile. To be able to hug them and laugh with them and hear it unfiltered in your ears. To be able to say things with your presence that words could never convey. I think we all need that closeness as humans. I think that's why we miss people. And why I miss you, too.

Introduction to my Bible study

First things first, this is the translation I'll be reading:

I sure hope it's a decent one because it cost me $62. 😅 Although occasionally, if I have the energy, I might compare and contrast to other translations I have like the RSV and NAB.

Honestly, I only chose this one because it was the only single-column copy of the entire Bible I could find. It's a lot easier for me to read this way as opposed to the standard two-column.

I didn't realize this until after I bought it, but the books are not in order. I don't know the order of the Epistles off the top of my head but I do know for sure that the books of Maccabees are typically the last books in the Old Testament (I…think. I am pretty out of practice.), and here they are not. The Old Testament is organized with all the historical books first, and then the poetry books, and then the prophets.

Part of me is wondering if that's, like...allowed...? Lol I've never seen that before. But on the other hand I was actually already planning on reading through the historical books and the poetry/prophet books at the same time and this will make it much easier to keep track of that.

Another thing: I will have a ton of super in-depth theological insight on roughly the first half of Genesis. Though I attended public schools from kindergarten through 11th grade, my senior year of high school was completed at a Catholic school, where I took a Sacred Scripture class with the best theology teacher I could have possibly asked for. He spoke Latin, Greek, and Hebrew, and had more insight on scripture than anyone I've ever met.

Unfortunately, the class was only one semester and we ended up spending a ton of time on the first half of Genesis and then rushing through the rest of the Bible, so I have a lot of weird gaps in my knowledge. So, prepare for me to sound like a professional scholar for a bit and then suddenly switch to sounding like an idiot who knows nothing...

Although, I will be looking for additional resources to help me gain a more thorough understanding. Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated!

I do plan on reading the entire Old Testament before starting on the New Testament. I have a couple reasons for this—one of them is simply that I'm already very familiar with the New Testament. I have read the entire New Testament before by itself; now I want to gain all the context of the Old Testament before I read the Gospels and Epistles again.

I will aim for 4-8 chapters every day, but I'm going to be honest with myself and say it's unrealistic to expect that level of consistency from me. I will try my best, but I won't beat myself up about it if I miss a day or two.

I'm very excited to start on this journey with all of you!

Earlier today while I was reading! I cry very easily when I watch movies/videos, read books, hear touching stories, etc. Today though, I cried for a very odd reason (I didn't cry because something in the story touched me, which is usually why I cry while reading a book; I actually cried because I related too hard to the protag).

I did a lot of sports during elementary school that I was bad at lol. I was never good at anything athletic. The sports I did the longest were swimming and tae kwon do (was at least able to get a first degree black belt before quitting).

Hm, not too often, I don't think. My problem is that I'm too honest/blunt; I don't have the wit to be able to use sarcasm 😅.

6. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Their face. And the thing I notice first about their face is their nose. I focus a lot on nose shapes lol.

Dark, dark, dark brown

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings 100%!!! I'm not scared of scary movies, but I really don't enjoy them.

12. Do you have any pets?

No. I had two Zebra finches until pretty recently, but then one of them died, and I didn't want to get another finch (Zebra finches shouldn't be alone). We actually had gotten another finch after one died a few years back, and I didn't want to be in an endless cycle of getting a new finch every time one of them died. It was too emotionally taxing, and honestly, I don't think I'm a very good pet owner. I don't think I'm someone who personally wants to put in the time and care you should put into raising pets, so we gave the living finch away to a woman who owns several Zebra finches. And to be clear, it's not that we bought the birds and regretted them! They were given to my family because the original owner just had too many birds. I liked them a lot and wish I could've done more for them; I didn't really put serious care into them until later on, and I regret that a lot now. But the living finch is doing well in his new home now.

Literature. I did not have the capacity to pay attention during any class except in lit class because I enjoy reading and talking about books.

15. Dream job?

As of now, it's to be a children's novelist-illustrator (I don't want to say a writer-illustrator because I think that gives the impression that I want to write picture books, but I actually want to write middle grade novels with illustrations in them 😂). I finished a manuscript for a book a few months back, but it's taking me FOREVER to do the illustration part. So who knows when I'll actually finish it and if I'll actually be able to put it out...

Unrealistically, I really want to be a criminal investigator, but I don't think I have any of the skills needed for that kind of a job. And I know most criminal investigators start out as cops, and I know I don't have the skills to be a cop lol.

April was not a good reading month but wow, was it a writing month! I spent a lot of my home-based reading time working on my current WIP instead, so I’m trying not to have regrets about how much I didn’t read. I also didn’t truly manage to read anything off my physical TBR, but I’d wanted to reread The Goblin Emperor since I finished it the first time and so technically that’s off my TBR now?

My main bookish achievement this month, besides reading The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi, was pulling off another Indie Bookstore Day at work a couple days ago. I had help, my coworkers are awesome, I wasn’t organizing or running it alone or anything, but it’s still a lot of work to put together a party while handling the regular bookstore day-to-day, and then there’s set-up and twice the customers on the day and the tear-down which took all of yesterday…. I did unhaul a bunch of my unread ARCs for a book giveaway as part of this, which I’m very glad about. That’s really going to help my end-of-year stats, I think. (I also unhauled a few of my read ARCs that I was keeping for … some reason?)

And I accidentally bought two books. A Long Day in Lychford was a planned buy, but I got a gift card from my parents for Easter, which went impulsively towards The Gashlycrumb Tinies, and then yesterday I bought some bookish things for a little one and somehow the Pratchett bio found itself in my stack. No idea how that happened. 😅 No regrets, either.

May is going to be a lot like April, I think, or at least it hopefully will involve more writing than reading when I’m home. I’d like to ride the inspiration as far as it’ll take me, after all. It’s also going to be like April in that I’m waiting for the library to come through with a lot of my holds. I’m tag-teaming on a few of them, with physical and e-book reserves. I have no idea what I’ll read when I’m done the ones I’m working on now.

1) The last book I read:

Ghost Of by Diana Khoi Nguyen. This is a book of poetry I read for my Intro to Poetry class - it deals heavily with grief, having been written in the aftermath of the death of the author's brother, and if you like free verse, concrete poems, or stream-of-consciousness-like verse, this would definitely be something to check out. Also Othello by William Shakespeare :3

2) A book I recommend:

If We Were Villains by ML Rio! It's about a bunch of theatre kids going to an arts conservatory to study Shakespeare. People fuck, people do drugs, people get murdered, and like half the cast is gay and repressed about it. The prose is really vivid, and overall, I'm just super impressed with the story and the characters Rio created!

3) A book that I couldn’t put down:

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. I know this is a Vampire Chronicles blog so that seems rather obvious but I truly was captivated by this book. Checking it out from the library was one of the best decisions I ever made.

4) A book I’ve read twice (or more):

I'm going to cheat for this one and do a play instead: Hamlet by William Shakespeare. I first read it in school in junior high, then again on my own my sophomore year of high school, and I've flipped through it several times since then. As much as I love other Shakespeare plays like Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet, I never seem to run out of things to say about Hamlet. It's just so rich.

5) A book on my TBR:

Ohhhh soooo many sdljkfklfjasklfsjlkjfskl. But my friend gifted me Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M Danforth for my birthday and I figure I should get around to it at some point 😅

6) A book I’ve put down:

A year or two ago, my mother came home from Target with Ramses the Damned: The Reign of Osiris by Anne and Christopher Rice, because she saw our goth mom's name and figured I'd appreciate it since I like the Vampire Chronicles. It's not the first in the series, and I was having a hard time connecting to these random new characters, so I closed the book after a few pages and it's been sitting untouched on my bookshelf ever since 😅

Every year for my birthday and Christmas I ask for one or two Shakespeare plays because I want to collect the full set (of all the ones I'm interested in LOL). Next on the list is The Comedy of Errors.

Ummmm I'm trying to think. I have an abridged version of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott that I read several times in fifth and sixth grade, so I'll go with that. (hilariously, I remember almost nothing about the plot of the book now)

So many, mostly for school. Gender: Ideas, Interactions, Institutions by Lisa Wade and Myra Marx Feree (3rd edition) is something I bought for my sociology of gender class a few semesters ago, and I would highly recommend! It is very enlightening and full of interesting facts.

Blood Canticle by Anne Rice! It's wacky as fuck but you know what, I'm actually enjoying myself. I just haven't gotten very far because I'm super busy with school this semester so I haven't had as much time to read for pleasure sadtoad.jpg

Haha embarrassing fun fact… I don’t read a lot 🥴😅 not anymore, I guess I should say. I got into reading Harry Potter after seeing the first movie, but that’s about it. All the other reading that I have done has been school related, or science and Faith books or biographies. So not really any kind of fiction series. Aside from fanfiction of course 😂 So I guess tu answer your question, Harry Potter is my answer! I tore through those books, I have fond memories of everyone dressing up as HP characters to go downtown for a new book release.

Hard to say, mainly because I never thought I’d jump out of an airplane but I did that last summer. Probably something like cage diving, the ocean in general is kind of intimidating to me. I like my mountains and forests and valleys better. OH OB WAIT. Living in a city long term. That’s something I never want to do. Cities are Blegh. So crowded and angry and overwhelming and lonely all at the same time.

I have a bird, but we’ve been separated for the entirety of this year because of living situations. But once I move into my new house I’ll have him back ❤️ I would love to have a dog (I technically do, but she’s the family doggie and lives with my parents), but my schedule isn’t conducive to caring for a puppy by myself.

Fall! Followed by spring/winter, and then far, far down the list is summer.

That growing pile of unread books📚 in my bedroom (aka "planned to be read in a first place") irritates me more and more😑 Say, why not make some New Year's resolutions already? Let's see what do we got here:

1. Half read. Diary of a poet, almost no action BUT there's the poetic pov on every simplest life aspect, so that's why I bought it. Needs to be finished finally

2. Should be easy, I already once read the book in Polish, but I sure treat this introduction too serious and then overanalyse things as if I have to share my every thought, lol. Should be easy though

3. Gift from my parents, half read. I really liked it but some other occupation must have made me put it aside? Should be easy to finish

4. Also a gift. Looks like fun and if it was not for my procrastination I could probably be reading it right now

5. Gift from my brother, half read... That is: I read the main part. I stopped at the historical detailed analysis... Gotta try to finish it though.

6. and 7. - gift from my brother. Books about flowers or gardening are not the kind of books you need to read from beggining to the end but I still feel like I should try to read at least few chapters

8. Another gift. Needs time to be read

9., 10. and 11. - gift from my parents. Back then I was having much more stress than I am having now, but books about relaxation and fighting stress are always worth to be read. I would most probably be reading them once I quit being so tumblr-addicted...

15. and 16. are gifts from my best friend, 17. is borrowed from her and needs to be given back. Looks interesting and I was supposed to read it during my trip. I either don't trip often enough or I sleep too much during my travels

18., 19., 20. and 21. - looks like something cute that's need to be read. Should be fun. I just bought them, I have time.

22. First I bought it for my sister in law, I read it before giving it to her - and I sooo loved it I decided thar I need to have my own. Now I'll either read it again or give it someone I love. Or both🙃

& guess what? the day the ch came out was the same as when i got my bts albums delivered!! the stars must be aligning ig xd

so,i'll try to go in order( i prepared a checklist just to make sure i don't ramble randomly but it may still happen so srry in advance😅)

1st of all, i just wanna say that i screamed w/ my full chest when reading abt jk's antlers shedding! it always has been a lil detail that i always wished to see w/ hybrids of animals w/ antlers XD it adds to the accuracy & fidelity(?) to real animal facts & it made my whole week!! :3

The theory abt the full moon?!!! OMG! 😲🧠🎇

the moon is present in so many cultures & has always played a role in spirituality so i'm def curious to see how it will tie into the pagan & supernatural aspects of the story. i'm excited to see itbeing broght up again, to see if namjoon is aware of this possibility or if he already knows & is going to confirm jk's theory? also,if it's true,will diff phases of the moon have diff influences on wolf hybrids or not? i'll have to wait to know & i love it!!

A thing that left a deep impression in me was during the scene in which mc had namjoon & tae sit on nj's bed & medicate them. After setting some things straight & pulling the thorn in her side,there was a bit of an awkward silence(understandably) that was broken by tae apologising 1st. the thing that stood out to me is nj's reaction: he didn't just flow w/ tae's apology & outright refused to let the bear hybrid shoulder all the blame & responsability of both starting & escalating the fight. to me that showed maturity & confirmed that the wolf has calmed down, is feeling regretful & has been ruminating on his actions 👏👏

this is the corner 4 my yoongi appreciation!!! he's a breath of fresh air every time!! the way u wrote him is so precious & comforting!!😊 he is the personification of domestic bliss!😭 the kitchen is 100% his realm 😂💜 i love all the small & endearing ways he looks out 4 mc like when covering her eyes after jin & hobi stopped their hybrid-time, that whole scene was so heartwarming , light hearted & overall hilarious while still being a personal & delicate moment of acceptance & trust!! aaah i loved it soooo muuuuch!🤗

the scene in which nj was consulting her 4 an opinion on the tarot cards he drew from mc's mother is one of my faves for 2 reasons:

-i hope i'm being respctful when sharing this personal sentiment but even tho i'm not pagan myself i dunno, i get a heartwarming feeling when i see it represented anyway. i think it's both very thoughtful & sweet & it's def very refreshing to see! i also feel like i learn smth new every time which just fuels my interest & curiousity! ^^

-him seeking out the mc & openly asking 4 help, relying on her insight & valuing her opinion are indicators of not only his guilt abt what had happened but also his resolution in building the trust & relationship back up! this is also a new breather from the "prideful" wolf trope

again in the tarot scene: "Namjoon's handwriting, as beautiful as ever, curled across the weathered parchment in smudged indigo ink" i see what u did there! Again, you are a master of little meaningful & impressive details!!😚💖

getting back to talking abt pagan practices & rituals, in the story it was mentioned that there are diff types of protection & banishment & w/ u telling us that the malevolent entity will make an appearance again, i'm thrilled to see what new things abt paganism will be inserted in the story! (do tell me if i'm crossing lines when talking abt paganism this much & like this, i don't wanna lack respect in my enthusiasm & curiosity to learn more!^^)

Having in common this link to the paranormal & knowledge abt some of the practices may be the catalyst that brings jk & nj closer in the future. maybe? now i'm getting side-tracked srry😅

the thing that i keep wondering abt the most is how the past & future experiences w/ the paranormal will change the other hybrids: will they also start practicing? will their believes fundamentally change? if they start practicing, will they develop a personal & diff "style" just like how mc,jk & nj are diff in the way they have practiced up untill now? am i getting too much into this speculations/theories etc?🤐

Namjoon's birthday is in 2 week?!!!!!

oh god, that would stress me tf out of !! XD genuinely don't know if i wish 4 it to go smoothly or if i wish 4 some drama...w/out feeling a lil guilty tho😅

1 specific thing that ranks pretty high on the list of reasons of why i fell in love w/ this series & your writing style is how no matter the situation at hand, we always have solid insight to mc's thoughts,feelings & her mind, regularly & uninterruptedly. we always are aware of her inner wrld, macchinations, thoughts, opinions, reflessions etc & it's incorporated so smoothly w/ the flow of the narration, it brings her character to life in new ways each time!!

Another specific thing i love abt this series: each scenting scene in unique to the character & moulded after his personality. we see more of this characterisation & differentiation between them also in the small,laid back & domestic-y details like their tastes in cake (i'm team jk, cheesecake supremacy!), the changes they've done to the room to make it more theirs or not really in the case of jimin, their unique scents, which ones of them tend to tease mc more & their way to do it, which ones are already more physical even in lowkey instances such as hugging the mc when she bid them good night & the difference in which each one of the guys is showing her that he's warming up to her

AHHH so Jeongguk's velvet shedding is one of my favorite little details about him! I definitely wanted to include something like that when I originally planned out this series; I thought the goriness of velvet shedding fit in well with some of the eerie parts of the plot, and it especially fits Jeongguk's edginess. I'm so glad you like that part of his character! 😍

And the full moon theory Jeongguk had about Namjoon! I guess it is a sort of fantastical theory that Jeongguk came up with (MC looking at him like he grew an extra head) But you're so right, the moon has a very important role in so many religions and spiritualities, particularly in MC's practice, as well. I'm not sure if Namjoon has put the pieces together about how the moon influences his moods yet, but then again, he is very interested in this sort of subject matter, so it is definitely a possibility. When the moon is fuller, or in waxing phases, he would be easier to agitate, and during new moons or waning phases he'd be more collected and calm.

I agree with you during the whole "bandaging/scolding/apology" scene; Namjoon definitely put his pride aside and admitted that Tae was taking too much blame. Namjoon is quick to anger and react, so after the dust settled, he realized how he had flown off the handle and how it effected everyone else in the home. Hence how badly he felt, and why he felt the need to take share of the blame. He's learning how to control those reactions, slowly but surely!

YOONGIIII!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️ He's my darling, truly. In this fic and otherwise. Yoongi is a sweetheart irl, and I wanted this reflected in Trouvaille. I just love how he quietly looks after her, and yes, he has his moments of teasing, but really he's just a softie. I'm so happy you love him, and I really enjoyed writing the scene where he steps in before Hoseok and Seokjin can flash her-- definitely breaks up the tension with some comedic relief!

(P.S., you're onto something with the sense of familiarity between MC and Yoongi!! I don't want to give too much away, but you're on the money....) 🤭

I'm also super excited for MC to learn more about her hybrids through the new guidebooks she ordered!!! Perhaps there are more tidbits she has yet to uncover, and I'm pumped to include those in future updates!

Again, you're onto something! I think the shared interest both Namjoon and Jeongguk have in the paranormal/occult/supernatural will end up bringing them closer, or at least to an alliance of some kind. We'd all love to see it, I'm sure! Those two, and MC, already seem to have practices or beliefs at the very least in place, and we'll see over time what the other hybrids believe in or begin to practice (if they do). The scenting scenes were so so fun for me to write! Don't worry, there will be more of them in the future (I just wanted to establish the initial bite earlier on) But I'm so happy that you think each scene reflected how all of the hybrids are unique and have their own way of doing things. I don't have ONE favourite fanfic, but I love many 🥰 from different fandoms and different writers 💕 Also, I tend to read one shots or fanfics with few chapters so 😅 maybe that's why it's difficult coming up with a fave. But I want to start reading longer fics too ☺️

For touching, I'd say soft things, like when my hair is soft maybe? 🤣 I also loved a blanket I bought when I worked abroad, it was so soft, I loved touching it 💕 but I couldn't bring it back with me sadly🙈

Okay, you asked for a lot of them (thank you for being interested!), so I'm gonna try to keep the explanations short so this answer isn't a mile long lol.

Two Big, Blonde, Bearded Himbos Discover They're a Little Queer is a Steve/Thor fic. I don't have much of it written, but the premise is basically that Thor and Steve both think they're straight and discover that they are not. Steve realizes he's feeling some kind of way about Thor's sparkly eyes and freaks, so he goes to Sam and Bucky for help. Meanwhile, Thor figures out that he's not squeezing his gym bro Steve's biceps platonically, so he goes to Valkyrie and Loki for help ("Can you just... wake up one day and realize you're attracted to a man after thinking you were straight for a couple millennia?"). Their friends try to help them get together, and it's really just a bunch of awkward fails and confusion lol. They get together at the end tho. (Also thank you, I'm really super proud of this title 😊)

Peter/Oli - No Bad Decisions is a spin-off of Pride Brought Us to Bad Decisions that takes place during Peter's sophomore year at MIT, when Oli ends up moving in with him, Ned, and MJ. Cue the cute Oli/Peter romance. Idk if I'll ever actually write this one bc I always feel kinda weird about making OCs a main part of a fic, but idk. I really love Oli, and I liked writing Peter like this, so whether it's popular or not, I'll probably end up writing it eventually. I love them. 😅

Nerd Vest is a white denim, cropped vest I bought about a year ago on clearance at my favorite store, and I've been slowly and surely doing nerd shit to it. I'm currently working on some Avengers-themed embroidery along the hem, which is slow-going because I have embroider and denim is thick. I have plans to acquire patches to sew on and pins to pin on it, and if I get really brave, I'll pick up some fabric medium and maybe attempt painting on some designs, but idk about my paint skills, lol.... Nerd Vest!

Bi Pride Skirt is my attempt at crocheting myself a skirt. It's basically like 15 purple panels I plan on joining together with pink and blue, and doing a pink waistband with a blue scalloped hem at the bottom. Idk if that makes any sense for people who don't crochet, but, as usual, I'm making it up as I go along, so idk how to explain it better yet. I only have the purple panels made right now.

Avenger Dolls are little crochet dolls (I think they're technically called amigurumi or something like that?). I found a pattern book and kit thing at Barnes and Noble 2+ years ago, and it only includes like 8 character patterns, but I'm pretty sure the patterns are adaptable for other characters if I dedicate enough brain power to it. So once I've finished the first one (I misunderstood the pattern on the first attempt and the result was 🥴 not great, poor drunk-looking Steve), I'll figure out how to make myself a little set of my favorite little characters.

Yeha u feel you in the burnout there, just fat off my second time of not touching genshin for a month+. So take time off if needed. Tho idk why but I kinda always enjoyed the grind… XD.

Oooo I only need to raise Beidou’s ult one more for her to be doubled crowned and then I have to work on her auto attack talents. And then I have to get her five star artifacts cuz she’s running all four stars XD.

Oh little too if it feels like your farming for so many characters and you can’t keep up cuz resin is limited. So once you got your main dps raised/decently built, for your supports you can raise them to level 70. So what you want is to get all the passive talents unlocked and then talents raised to around level 6-8. So you don’t have to farm so much for ascension resources.

Thank you, and yes that helps! I main Keqing and shes not fully built, but shes level 80 and talents 6/6/7 and does Nice damage. Still has some four stars and probably needs all artifacts upgraded but still 🤣 I’ll probably focus my resin on diligence books from here on out until i get all of those (with maguu kenki in between, although i think i have enough cores to get kazu to 70) then.

Yeah! I recently was able to reach level 8 (and 9 not too long after) and have been keeping up on that. Right now i dont have enough currency to buy it all, so ive still got the artifact XP thingys and the weapon crystals in there but i bought the rest.

I knew of the Witcher video games a little, like their exsistence and such but they didn't really grab me that much but then the show's season 1 got me so good I bought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and fell even more in love with the universe and since then got all 8 books and devoured them!

Another fantasy novel I love is the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud - the first book especially, I reread that many times, it set up the world so well and I loved the humor too - if my memory serves me well 😅

I never read or watched GOT in any form.

I have 3 that come to mind. One is a cool necklace that looks like tusks or teeth that my aunt bought for me from Mexico when I was about 13 years old. Then there’s a ring that has tiny green jewels or diamonds idk and it was given to me by my mom’s best friend who also happens to be my best friend’s mom. She bought it at a yardsale for hardly anything but I love it sooo much. And third is the Pirates of the Carribean medallion that my dad bought me at Disneyland
