Gotta rant about Link's arm again bc, tbh it's what bugged me most about the end. Idc about Link getting to catch Zelda with his old arm. This isn't me saying I don't like the catch sequence bc I do think that part is great and mirrors the opening of the game. I mean, I don't care about it being a justification for healing his arm. To get that second chance to catch her again with his own hands.
Magic healing disability trope is ick to me, and no amount of thematic cohesion will make me like it. It still would have worked with Rauru's arm because catching her still would have been an act of his own and making up for the beginning of the game.
This trope just needs to die.

me when i thought i liked star stable more when it was older and of shittier quality because that's when everyone said it was better and then i took time away from the fandom space and realized i was a) in like third grade when the game was "old" b) genuinely love the new updates, quests, and horses

oooh i just realized that i'm about to encounter the funniest fuckup in the game: Schrödinger's Dad
basically last pt the game couldn't make up its mind over whether or not Wyll's dad was alive or not (he was) so in every scene that was part of Wyll's arc if it took place outside the camp the game acted like he was dead but once we went back to camp the same scene played out but like... a different version of it bc papa Ravengard was there
so it really was like... he was only alive when he was perceived

What's the whole "EE" thing? I don't think I've ever used that perk (not a sword fan TBH) so I have zero clue, especially since people throwing you off the map is pretty long-standing (I've always hated it--often its a mistake, just accidentally the team crowding around and one of us falls off but some have always been real deliberate-like when they shove you off the edge at the end of a strike before you can collect the glimmer and stuff...)
Here's the perk:
"Gain increased Sword lunge distance immediately after switching to this weapon." It basically allows you to have an increased forward momentum when it activates which means you can cross a bigger distance with it than with a regular sword. It also pushes people further away and faster.
There's also combos that allows you to go really fast when you activate it, which makes it a neat tool for speedrunning content.
It differs from the regular sword push by distance and speed. When you're pushed with a regular sword by a teammate, you might be able to recover. If you're pushed with EE, you'll likely end up splat against the wall or so far off the map you will not have a chance to go back.
Since it's useful for speedrunning, people also use it to essentially skip areas. It doesn't work everywhere but it's fairly common in strikes. People equip the sword and start skating to the end of the strike. Skipping areas or leaving them before everything is killed, causes the enemies to despawn and also pulls other teammates through loading zones. So if you end up in a strike with a speedrunner and they skate to the final boss, you will not be able to get kills and you will likely be pulled by a loading zone.
This is annoying when you're doing bounties, obviously. It can also be annoying with loading zones depending on your hardware and/or internet. People just generally dislike being deliberately killed and forced to skip sections of the activity due to one person speedrunning.
Most people speedrun in their own time and solo which is fine ofc. Most people also don't deliberately troll others. But those that do are really bad and they give a bad name to the perk. A lot of the time, my gut reaction to seeing someone with that sword is to immediately be worried about being griefed. In most cases nothing happens, but when it does, it's extremely annoying.
