AU where the group from HIMYM frequents Paddy’s Pub from IASIP instead of MacLaren’s. Imagine the chaos that would ensue? Barney would want to team up with Dennis to get girls, but Dennis would think of himself as superior and want to teach Barney the D.E.N.N.I.S. system. Barney would be into it. Charlie and Marshall would think each other odd, but would bond over only having eyes for one woman (The Waitress and Lily). Marshall would become increasingly confused as Charlie starts talking about the ways he stalks the waitress. Barney would overhear and want to take Charlie under his wing. Barney would end up sleeping with the waitress.

I feel like Robin and Frank would have a mutual respect for each other, and bond over things like hating kids, loving sports, and not understanding women. Robin and Dee would hate each other. Barney would also end up sleeping with Dee. Dee would brag about Barney, and the rest of the gang will tell her about his obvious womanizing ways. Charlie and Ted would get along well until Charlie starts drinking paint and eating cat food, then Ted would distance himself, not wanting to outright cut Charlie off because he doesn’t like confrontation and is unnerved by Charlie’s unpredictable nature. Charlie will not get the hint. Lily will attempt to teach Charlie to read, but she will not succeed. She will end up yelling because she’s frustrated and then Charlie will start yelling too. Dennis will move on to The Captain’s boat because of the implication.
