So we're all on board that Wednesday will be the reason that Enid will finally transform, right??? (The delusions are RABID I know) But please, just humor me with imaging a scene like:
Wednesday is in danger
Either from the monster or someone else
Tyler and Xavier are USELESS
Why? Cause I said so
By this point
Wenclair are friends
Maybe not super close
But Enid has warmed up to Wednesday and all her 'weirdness'
And Wednesday has at least not threatened the girl in 48 hours
So they're friends
Somehow Enid knows Wednesday is in danger
She was there, the boys go get her, she hears Wednesday yell, whatever the case may be
Her heart hammers painfully against her ribs
Legs are burning as she sprints down the road
The tears start to build as emotions fill her
She thinks of all the other bodies
How mangled they were
Just to even imagine Wednesday like that
Makes her want to vomit
She makes it just in time
And Wednesday admires the bravery
But she knows Enid can't transform
She only has those silly "claws"
Wednesday's own nails are sharper
Death has never scared her
So she welcomes what is about to come
And Enid knows this
She knows that Wednesday doesn't care
Doesn't care that her family will miss her
Her friends will miss her
That Enid will miss her
So it happens
Enid starts to transform just as the monster goes for Wednesday
Enid body checks the monster and it goes flying
(And because I love suffering)
The transformation HURTS
Her claws used to hurt but she's done it so much she's built a tolerance
This?
God, it's unbearable
Bones snapping and re-shaping, muscle growing, skin stretching and tearing, fur pushing through
Her screams morphing into piercing howls
Wednesday is beyond fascinated
The horrors of it
She just can't look away
But
She can also feel the tug of concern in her chest
She doesn't like hearing Enid cry or scream
It doesn't bring a smile to her face like when other people do
And that bothers her
But it is soon replaced once Enid lays a smack down against the monster
It's not perfect
Enid gets thrown and hurt
But it's enough to run off the monster
And Wednesday feels
Pride? Admiration?
God, this is so new
Anyway, thank y'all for indulging into my delusions!

Interesting that the official soundtrack has "Enid to the Rescue" and "The Hug" back to back
My delusion that Wednesday will be the reason that Enid will finally be able to transform is coming true
Also:
THE FUCK YOU MEAN "ROOMIES NO MORE" ?????
(Although, the delusions say that it means that this is the moment Wednesday decides that her and Enid are friends now so they don't refer to each other as just roommates anymore)

this dream billionaires have of draining this planet and going elsewhere is nothing but pure delusion and ignorance. this world is all we have. this earth and no other. to go elsewhere may be possible but we would no longer be us. and this is so connected to how we have doubled our world with the internet & how our brains have convinced ourselves that the physical, the real, the here, the now, is all replicable and disposable. the precise value of the here and the now, the incarnated present, is what makes life valuable. we cannot duplicate life. this illusion that we will be able to replace something will be our end. life is precious because it ends. you are precious because no one else is you. nothing is replaceable, least of all this earth. how precious it all is and how arrogant we are to think it easy to leave this all behind. as joyce said the longest way round is the shortest way home. when they realize this they will not have a home to return to and that is their fate.
