ive seen a lot of people say they dislike the helper (for very understandable reasons tbh, its... not written well lol) but im curious as to why you dont like the tourist or the good deed :0

With these episodes it’s mainly just my preferences, for the tourist idk how deeply I can analyze it I just generally don’t enjoy the happenings of the episode (and I hate Trudi lol) I guess it’s just kinda frustrating to watch for me. It’s not like I’m personally offended by it as much as I claim, I just don’t enjoy and so prefer not to watch it again, which I guess I can sorta equate to “hate”.

There’s not a lot I can say redeems the episode for me other than the part towards the end where Wander makes another orbble and the needle ends up inside the orbble too, something about how the animation looks or how there’s more object permanence than usual just makes it cool to me. And then him picking it up after, I just like it.

For the good deed it’s a LOT of personal preference; I’m not into most of the little gags that happen, there’s a lot of gags I love a little later in the series but basically most of my enjoyment of the show and the jokes and such come from the main 4 (or arguably 5) characters being themselves, (that’s actually how I feel about most anything I watch, I love character-driven stories and character-driven humor) After that I don’t really get the moral? I almost feel like it’d be better without a moral because I’m not sure they really got across what they wanted to get across? Thirdly there’s more out-of-character Wander because it’s still pretty early on, I know it was for a gag but I don’t like that Wander turned down helping Hater at the end lol. And lastly for spiritual reasons I avoid watching anything that features fortune tellers/tarot card readings among other things.

Crowley is convinced that a fairy is living in his beautifully tended garden, and in spite of his very best efforts he has yet to actually see one. He has been leaving a bowl of cream out in the garden each night as a little extra temptation - but so far, only the neighbourhood fox seems to be enjoying it. On the advice of a friend, Crowley decides to switch up his tactics. As it turns out, the fairy living in his magnolia tree just has much more exacting standards than your average brownie or gnome. This is made abundantly clear the next morning when Crowley comes downstairs to find his carefully wrapped bakery box now open on the windowsill, the ribbon it was secured with now fluttering in the early breeze. And inside, nestled amongst the finest profiteroles in the South Downs, he finds a round, pink-cheeked fairy, delicately licking cream off his tiny fingertips.

I was so charmed by the idea of a plump, spoiled little 'Azirafae' enjoying fancy human desserts that I couldn't help myself! 🩷 Entirely self indulgent! Will this be a fic one day? Who knows!

So we all like the “if you die then I’ll burn down the world” trope but there’s something so powerful and beautiful about living on with their memory instead. It’s not “because you’re dead the world has nothing worth saving in it” but “everyday something in this world reminds me of you and I’m glad for it even if it hurts”.

It’s “I’ll bring your kindness with me wherever I go and someone will remember it even if they’ll never know I borrowed it from you.”

It’s “This is what you would do.”

It’s “I’ll remember you for you and not for what the people hail you as.”

And it’s so painfully beautiful.

Out of the Batfam, Jason is one of the most atrocious liars. He can make it work when he absolutely has to, but usually I think whenever he lies he does with little motivation and with emphasis on irony to make it funny for himself. In comparison Dick is a phenomenal liar and can sell outrage so well before hanging up and reverting to normal that Jason sprays him with holy water and never believes a word out of his mouth.

Buck trying to be mature about Tommy and Eddie spending time hanging out together without him, because Eddie can have other friends and just because they’re dating it doesn’t mean he has a monopoly on Tommy’s time, but he’s still mopey about it

So Ravi has a rare moment of poor judgment and takes pity on him and invites just Buck to his weekly DnD group that’s just starting a new campaign

Which turns out to be a really good thing or a really bad thing depending on who you ask. Because Buck has a new hobby and new friends (ish)! But also fun facts Buck and clipboard Buck have combined into an unholy terror who is determined not only to know every single piece of DnD guidebook lore ever written, but also to min/max Ravi’s entire campaign in a well-intentioned but slightly misguided effort to show his appreciation for all the effort Ravi’s put in to creating it
